Allie held on to her card of Roderick Plumpton, and gave a nervous look to Cela before she walked up to the front of the classroom. She really wasn't sure what she had gotton herself into.

Shoving her chocolate frog she hadn't eaten into the butterfly net so it couldn't hop around and even get smushed into the floor by mistake, Savannah slid off her desk with the card in hand, quietly shuffling to the front of the class like the Professor told her and the other volunteers to do.

Natka looked up from studying her card at the Professor's words. She noticed quite a few people volunteer, so she kept her, her attention at the front of the class, wondering what the next part of the lesson would be.

"Everyone will get their chance." Ethan spoke gently as he noted the enthusiasm the class was showing.He stood up and heading over to the random cat. He picked it up and returned to his desk, stroking the cat gently.

"So, if each of my volunteers can hold up your cards and tell the class who is on it and what you know about that witch or Wizard."

Qaz raised up her card to the class and said,

'My card is Quong Po, who lived from 1443 to 1539 in China. He was a Specialist in Magical Creatures. He studied Liondragons, which is their local name for a Chinese Fireball. He discover the uses of their powdered eggs.'

Ooh. The volunteers had to go the front of the class. Perhaps it was a good thing he hadn't been picked by Truebridge then. Deffo. Playing with his Gerta Catchlove card, Clifford sat patiently, waiting to listen to the volunteers do their thang.

Allie did as she was told and held up her card.
"My card is Roderick Plumpton." she exaplained. "He was Seeker for the Tutshill Tornados Quidditch. And he invented the Plumpton Pass. Oh and he caught a snitch in three and a half seconds once."

John who had been staying quiet until this point continued to do so. He wasn't going to talk until the Professor asked him to.

Cameron eyed the professor who just randomly picked up the cat and held it in his arms. He took a few steps back, scared that the cat may have some sort of disease or rabies. Oh, so they were suppose to tell the whole class who their card was. Bertie Bott seemed to be a very odd man from the description. Holding it up as high as it can be he spoke with a loud voice so everyone could hear.

"This is, well, Bertie Bott. He was born in 1935 and the maker of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans. It currently has 149 flavors."

Upon hearing the instructions for the volunteers, Tobi renewed his efforts in making his NOSE become ONE with his textbook.

tapdancer... vanished mid-performance... never seen again...

The information was rather limited. He had the distinct feeling that he would be spending time in the library looking up this bloke. Oh well, Cale would be thrilled.

Anna watched as the professor headed over to the cat, picked it up, and then walked back to his desk. As soon as he gave the volunteers instructions, Anna held up her card of Musidora Barkwith. "Musidora Barkwith was a composer born in the year 1520. Wizarding Suite, her unfinished work, featured an exploding tuba. When a 1902 performance blew the roof off the Town Hall of Ackerly, Wizarding Suite was banned. Barkwith died in the year 1666," she said.

"Cool!" Thought Candi, "I got Ignatia Wildsmith" She shouted to anyone who was listening, "It says here, that Ignatia Wildsmith was the creator of Floo powder and that she lived between the years of 1227 and 1320." After computing the math in her head she said with much excitement, "That means that she was 103 years old! Wow, she beat my grandfather by 2 whole years"

Becca raised her hand and also volunteered. She wasn't too keen on being a know-it-all, but she could read the back of the card easily. She stood up and, when it was her turn, she told the class, "The person on my card is Beatrice Bloxam. She lived from 1794 - 1810 and wrote Toadstool Tales, which is a series of children's books. But it's banned, because it caused the readers to become nauseous and vomit." She made a face. That was super disgusting.

Savannah smiled slightly, her love of history books had come in good use. It took alot for her not to make a funny face at Alexis and stick her tongue out, a reaction only the lion's captain would understand. Taking another look at her card, Savannah raised her hand slightly to show her classmates as she went on to explain, "I have Carlotta Pinkstone; She was a witch, born in 1922, and is famous for campaigning to lift the Statute of Secrecy. She believed in letting muggles know the existence of witches and wizards alike along with the wizaring world itself, because of this miss Pinkstone had been imprisoned multiple times for defying the Statute by publicly performing magic."

Iliana sat on the Professor's lap purring quietly. Well would you look at that. She thought. He's brilliant. Using chocolate frogs to get the grab the kids' interest. Brilliant. That settled it. She would have to make a point to visit his classes whenever possible.

Auralie walked into the room and took her shoes and socks off, taking a seat in the back of the room whereas she hoped her lateness would not disturb anyone. She blushed slightly however being nervous about explaining her lateness and explaining how it was due to tripping over a bucket and making a mess of not only Professor Bunbury's office but also her greenhouse....she bit her lip and looked up at the Professor, watching the class progress. A bit of mud still caked in her hair.

Aura began to play with her card on Grindelwald...she sighed and looked up and watched the progression of volunteers taking notes as it went.

Patricia stood up,carrying her Salazar Slytherin card. She showed it to everyone in the class before saying, "Salazar Slytherin was one of the co-founders of Hogwarts school of wizardry. Before leaving the school, he had built the infamous 'Chamber of Secrets' under the school itself, leaving a Basilisk inside. He was a pure-blood wizard who believed pure-bloods being supreme and that their children should be the only kids allowed inside Hogwarts. His fanaticism about it, eventually led him away from the school, as the other founders were opposed to the idea." Patricia paused, "He was one of the few true Parselmouths that have been recorded in wizard history. His last remaining heir, Tom Riddle, was a half-blood Parselmouth... he waged two wizarding wars on the grounds of blood purity. He died at the hands of Harry Potter, sir." Patricia headed back to her seat, happy she had really listened in her History of magic class.

Chris caught a chocolate frog and then opened it to look for the card inside.

"While all of that is true, you were not asked to come to the front of the class. One point from Ravenclaw."

"2 points off Hufflepuff, one for not raising your hand and the other for shouting out of turn." Professor Truebridge paused, "Though Ignatia Wildsmith is very interesting and we will get to her soon enough."

"One point from Ravenclaw for answering out of turn, Right now we are focussing on the cards held by my volunteers over here. You can earn that point back if you pay attention, Becca." Ethan responded sternly before turning to the students at the front of the class and using his wand to enlarge the cards so everyone could see.


"Quong Po! He certainly made many advances in the study of Liondragons, which in turn made other advances possible. A very intelligent and intuitive Chinese Wizard." he paused, Why do you think he might have chosen to study a Chinese Fireball? How do you think he might have discovered the uses of the eggs? Anyone may answer." Ethan turned and nodded at Candi, Patricia and Becca, who could earn their points back if they paid attention.

"Three and a half seconds! Thats fairly insane but it would be a boring game to watch I think! Anyone here support the Tutshill Tornados? What other positions do you think Plumpton might have played?" Truebridge mused.

Ethan stroked the cat and nodded as the slytherin boy spoke, "Anyone care to list a few of Bertie's flavours? Why did he invent them anyway?"


"Good thing it was banned! Though I have had the fortune of hearing the first few minutes of the Wizarding Suite; such a cacaphony of sound it is! Not all unpleasant. So, can anyone guess why she might have included an exploding Tuba?"

"Ah now, this one is very interesting. I suspect everyone will have an opinion to share on this one. Why do you think she wanted to share our existence with Muggles? What might have been her catalyst?"

Truebridge petted the cat again and looked around the class, "Opinions, guesses, facts and figures are all welcome. Which do you think is the most deserving of these five to be on a chocolate frog card?"

Kayla looked up and blinked a couple of times...oh now everyone was getting up and relaying their cards. She stood up and turned her card over. "I have Hengist of Woodcrodt. He was driven away from his home my muggle persecutors. Apparently he settled down in Scotland where he founded the village of Hogsmeade. Some say that the Three Broomsticks was his home."

Yep that was just about it, Kayla sat back down in her seat and placed the card on the desk.

Once the volunteer's finished speaking, Professor Truebridge started. Whitney raised her hand,ready to answer. "In my opinion professor,and only counting the volunteers,I would have to say that Carlota Pinkstone is the most deserving out of all of them" In reality,to Whitney,it was between her and Salazar Slytherin.

"True,sir. A really boring game considiering you wwouldn't get to see anything happen." she said. Other positions? That was hard one. "Well....maybe keeper, if he could move that fast to catch the small snitch, then he could defiantly see a quaffle and block it in time."

Clifford's hand shot in the air when Truebridge asked about Bertie Bott's beans. EEE! They were sweeties and he was an expert! "There's nice flavours like orange and chocolate and peppermint and stuff." He offered before pulling a face. "And then there are the gross flavours, like cardboard, and grass and rotten cabbages." He paused, head tilting to one side. "Actually, I quite liked the rotten cabbage flavour." Hmm.

"I think Bertie is most deserving 'cause everyone loves sweeties and his invention musta made loadsa people happy." Hehe. Like him. YAY!

Tobi, aspiring chef that he was shot his hand into the air, "Bertie Bott sir, he made culinary advances that are far beyond what anyone else has done in food history." And far beyond what I could hope to do if I lived as long as Professor Kazimeriz even.

Juniper nibbled the inside of her cheek thoughtfully as she listened to the facts on the volunteers' cards. Slowly, she lifted her hand into the air. "Most people would find at least the idea of an exploding tuba interesting, I would think," Juniper said. "So Musidora Barkwith might have included the exploding tuba for effect. To grab the audience's attention, I mean." An exploding tuba would certainly grab one's attention.

Pondering for a moment, Juniper added, "And I agree with Clifford that Bertie Bott is the most deserving. Everybody's heard of Bertie Bott, because everybody's heard of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. And I expect most everybody enjoys them as well, because there's always a flavor that somebody would like."
