Penny listened to what MJ said. "Ok so you reconize the voice. How about a name? Did he or "you" say a name?" she asked her friend. They could work together and figure it out. "You are so welcome." she said.

Penny listened to what MJ was saying about past lives. "Or maybe if it is a spirit is trying to get help." she thought out loud. This was going to be a hard thing to do, but hopufully they could get it figured out. At MJ last comment Penny looked at her hard. "I dont think you have done anything wrong. I think maybe you are meant to help." she said.

Kayla waited patiently for Maddox to finish his rant and she raised an eyebrow at him. "Why am I not surprised that you would stick up for him" she murmured. She removed her arms from across her chest and placed them behind her back, brushing lightly across her wand and it seemed to make her feel better. "I'm sure Nico has a lot of friends but as I was kept a secret for the past year, I didn't get to meet any of them. As for the pictures you'll have to ask Nico to see them, because he has them now" that is of course if he hasn't destroyed them. "I didn't tell Nicholai who took them so I'm certainly not going to tell you."

Another time and another place and Kayla probably would have let Maddox have it by now, but she was slowly starting to get over all this and so she remained quite calm. "I gave him every chance to explain, you don't know how much I wanted to hear him tell me that he never did anything with these girls but he couldn't and I assumed nothing. I know how Nicholai is with the girls Maddox and I've always turned a blind eye to the flirting...always" she brushed her fingers lightly over her wand and felt herself calm down again.

"And for your information I do trust him...well I did trust him. And that wasn't easy for me to do, not with the crap I've had to put up with for the past three years of my life. But he walked in and swept me off my feet and I never thought I would love someone and trust someone as completely as I did Nicholai Toussaint" Kayla took a small step back from the table and grabbed onto the wall for support as she took a few deep breaths. Okay that was more than she ever wanted to say to a couple of strangers. "You know if it had of been just one girl then maybe I could of handled it but three different girls..."she trailed off and a single tear rolled down her cheek..."if the pictures are fake then I'll be the first to apologise but I don't think any trick of the camera can change the look he was wearing on his face. If he truly loved me like you said then he never should have been tempted by anyone else."

Kayla looked at Lima for a moment and then back to Maddox. "I can see that you two love each other very much. Somehow I don't think either of you would be caught in a similiar situation as the one Nicholai has. If Anna's the one he wants then so be it, who am I to begrudge his happiness" she sighed deeply, wishing she had just headed straight up to the dormitory.

Eva remained quiet watching Kayla. There was only one single reason why she didn't follow her friend.
Yes, she had heard every single word her friend had said to the hufflepuff boy, who seemed to know Nico. But there was only one person she knew to what she needed.
Herself.



Well, it wasn't subtle.. but the note was fine for her purposes.
Eva left the common room to go to the olwery.

Maddox smiled and said, "Well when it comes to my friends, im going to do the best i can to help them. Thats how i have always been." He shrugged, and smiled after her next comment. "Well im glad you trust me. Besides, what he and i spoke about was confidential, and i wont be telling anyone about it." He smiled and looked down to write something. He smiled, "Yes Cela is very sweet. You would like her." He smiled and wiggled his eyebrows again.




Maddox glared at Kayla and growled out, "And you know why you were kept a secret. It would have hurt his family if anyone had known." He sighed, he knew that was coming. She wouldnt tell him, but he had ways to figure out who took them. "Dont worry i will help Nico find out who took them just to prove to you how dodgey all this is." He folded his arms. There was definatly something missing to this story. Kayla didnt have all the facts.

"If i were him kayla, and pictures of me, questionable ones at that, were thrust into my face, i wouldnt know what to say either. But hey Nico's a flirt so why not throw him to the lions when someone is out to get him." He let the sarcasim overflow with that last sentence. Maddox couldnt believe Kayla.

Maddox listend. Obviously this pained kayla to even think about. But she still didnt give Nico the proper chance, even if she said she did. It was all to much for him to comprehend right now. He hadnt trust Nico until after their duel. Maddox knew how much he loved Kayla, how hard it was for Nico to even talk about kayla to maddox. "I trust him now. I feel it in my bones Kayla. I understand that you were hurt badly. I would have been too. But did you ever consider, and i know that i have said this already, that he has enemies that you dont know about that are out to get him. Did the person that took these pictures know who Nico was?" He could tell Kayla's tears were genuine. He wanted to comfort her, but he knew that he couldnt. He had to stick up for Nico no matter what. Succumbing to her emotions wasnt going to happen.


Maddox looked at kayla bewildered. "Do you seriously not see the dodgey-ness in this story Kayla? I'm sure that if anyone had a problem with me, they would try to get my girlfriend out of the way first. Rip your heart out then go for the kill. Sounds like someone from Durmstrang to me. But you wouldnt know about that place." He glared, "As for anna, I've already said this, but i do believe, shes just a rebound." He folded his arms.

"No, the only name that was mentioned was April." she told her then sighed. "He kept calling me April and that I was..' she thought for a a while about what the man had told her. As she began to remember his words she shivered.

"Dear sweet April, why do you run from me? You are only avoiding the inedible."

She repeated. Then she looked at Penny. "Who ever this spirits is must be desperate, I mean nightmares and dreams in general aren't suppose to be this painful, not even if they are past of past life's."

She pushed her bangs out of her eyes and gave her and earnest smile. "Arigato (thank you) Penny." she told her and smiled. She was happy that she had a new friend to help her through some of the tough times. "I hope we do what we are meant to do before it's too late.." MJ said

Christine walked back into the common room from potions class. She wanted to do her homework, but potions was like gibberish to her. Christine tossed her bag to the side, deciding to leave her homework for later.

She smiled at him and said, "I know that. You are a very good friend." She patted the back of his hand gently. She then laughed and said, "of curse I trust you. I know that you wouldn't do anything to hurt me or anyone else. Not consciously." She had complete faith in him in every aspect. She certainly trusted him not to flirt with other girls or blab her secrets. "I know that, why I never asked for you to tell me. But next time we see him maybe we can see if he knows where his sister might be..." That would be if she had any favourite places in the castle. "You are really pushing it," she added with a snort as he wiggled his brows at her again.

She listened in silence as he proceeded to stick up for Nico. Though she was a bit lost on the whole issue - not really knowing either Nico or Kayla - she had some idea of what was going on. She also thought that Mads had a good point, whether or not he was right about it. She just nodded and said, "I think that Mads has a point. And if Nico made him believe that he's in love with you, then I believe that it must be true." Even though the idea of Nico being in love with anyone seemed a bit strange to her; when she met him he seemed to be in love with himself only. But stranger things have happened...

Penny listened as MJ told her the name and what was said. "That is weird. At least there is a name to start with. Now, how were you dressed? I know it dont make sense, but it will give us an idea on the time period." she said still thinking about it. "You are right. They arn't. And they are not supposed to leave marks." she said in agreement. Penny smiled back at MJ. "You are welcome. I do to, I do to." She said with a nod.

"Damnit Maddox" Kayla snapped in anger. "I understand more than you think. Our families run in very similar circles, so I know very well how they work. I know why we kept our relationship a secret and was completely understanding about it and never once did I complain about it" she was absolutely fuming now for him to dare suggest that she was being selfish. "You have no idea what I'm just about to put myself through to keep Nicholai out of trouble and we're not even together anymore. That's how much I care and love him...still" Kayla gripped the hilt of her wand, she hadn't been this angry in a very long time. Not that she was going to use it but it was like a security blanket for her.

Kayla listened to the rest of what Maddox had to say and she just felt utter despair. "You just don't get it do you" she raged. "The pictures showed that Nico was being more than friendly with these girls. To me flirting with someone is a wink of the eye, a flirtatious smile or perhaps a remark, that I can handle and I did. But what I saw in those photos was way beyond flirting to me. He was sitting so close to them and touching them" she shook her head as more tears rolled down her face. "Maybe you and Nico, think that sort of stuff is innocent but I don't and that seems to be the difference."

She almost laughed when Maddox made the comment about having enemies. Yeah well she knew all about that, god what happened to being just a normal teenager. She had spent almost three months behind bars because she had done something her grandmother had blackmailed her into and in a turn of events she had managed to then put her grandmother In Azkaban for life and swindle her out of her fortune. So not only did she have school to cope with, she also had Rosa's business affairs and every crook and low life in the wizarding world trying to take her down so that they could get a piece of the business. So yeah, she knew all about having enemies and now she had Nicholai's uncle demanding a meeting with her...hence the occulmency lesson's with Professor Carracio.

Kayla was so close to falling apart, the tears were still streaming down her face. "I just don't know what to believe anymore Maddox. He kept telling me that he would end up hurting me, so when I saw the photos it was as though the prediction had come true" she didn't want to talk about it anymore, what she wanted was to lie down on her bed and stay there forever. She opened her mouth to tell Maddox who took the pictures but then closed it again, maybe she should talk to Zeph again. Kayla didn't want to be responsible for Nicholai and Maddox huting him down if he was innocent. But then what if Nicholai was innocent? She groaned softly as everything Maddox, Eva, Nikki and Zeph had said to her, it was all in a jumbled mess and it was making her more confused and more upset by the minute.

"I'm going to talk to the person who took the photos again and if I don't get a satisfactory answer out of them. Then I will tell you who it is. Is thatfair enough Maddox?" Kayla asked him as she wiped her eyes with her hand.

Dominic had to snicker at the girl's dramatics. "Well I didn't very well KNOW you had a boyfriend, did I? And besides, how I was supposed to know you'd be soo difficult!?" He pointed out to her. Girls could honestly be the biggest pains in the bums sometimes. It didn't help her case any that her so-called boyfriend didn't even seem to care that he was yanking at her. "Besides, you're the one who seems to care about me yanking you away. He could care less!"

Shaking his head, he crossed his arms at the older blond.

She just snorted at him. "One, I think it's pretty obvious that he's my boyfriend. Two, I'm always difficult with people that are so pushy. And three, you have no idea what he's like." She had to keep herself from laughing. She knew that if Mads wasn't so preoccupied with other issues right now he would have seriously got into Dom's face by now. It would have been Diagon Alley all over again.

Dominic kept his eyes fixed on Lima as she started to attempt to restate her case again; most of which made absolutely no sense though, but that was besides the point. Or was it? "One, it's not like you two made it blatantly obvious just now, and as you so kindly put earlier, we're strangers to each other. So how was i supposed to know your boyfriend, let alone you even had one? Two, I'm only as push as you make me. And three, I don't really give three canaries what he's like." He retorted back, tempted to walk away, but it was all too much fun picking on this one. Seriously; someone clearly wasn't the sharpest crayon in the box.

Maddox smiled at her and stroked her check gently with his thumb. "All i have to say is, you are utterly amazing." He grinned.

He was glad that Lima said something to Kayla, but at the moment it didnt help much. "Thank you for agreeing, but this is something Kayla and i need to discuss. I know your trying to help, but please understnad for me." He smiled a pleading smile.






Maddox listened to Kayla's speech. He grinned a little when she cursed at him. He also watched as she touched the hilt of her wand. He tensed a little at that but noted that it calmed her a little. He wondered what she was about to go through, but wasnt sure if he wanted to know at the same time. "Your going to have to tell me whats happened for you to be keeping him out of trouble. I dont mean now, but one day. But of course i know its not any of my business so what am i saying." He sighed and put his hands over his face.


Maddox snorted, "When im not in a relationship, my flirting is having a girl pull me into a deserted hallway and having a snog fest with her. Thats what i did at Durmstrang, thats how i have always been. I had alot of female friends at durmstrang. I was considered the Biggest flirt in my house. So yes, my flirting is different from yours. I dont know what kind of flirting Nico does. I wasnt friends with him at Durmstrang. I have heard that Nico is a big flirt, but in a different way." He watched te tears fall from Kaylas eyes, and sighed. He wasnt trying to make things worse, he wanted to help them, both of them, because they so obviously loved each other.


"Kayla," He said and took a deep breath, "He may have warned you, but it was because he wanted to protect you from himself, because of the way he feels for you. If you knew the things i have done, and been through," He hesitated, "I would say the same exact thing to Lima, because i dont trust myself enough." It was true, he would say it, he should say it. But he knew that Lima would love him not matter what he did. "I think that maybe, these pictures where innocent flirting like he normaly does with any girl. The type that you would normaly 'turn a blind eye to.' But we wont know until we do some digging." He folded his arms across his chest.

Maddox listened to her deal. He knew it was the best he could get from her, and thats all he was asking for. He had to help Nico. It was where his loyalties lie. "Sounds good to me Kayla, but do you promise that you will not give up on him yet?" He asked in a pleading tone.




Maddox hadn't realized that Lima had been pulled away from him. He was so engrossed with the conversation with kayla that, at the moment, that was what mattered. But when he heard the way this kid was talking to his girlfriend, his blood started to boil. Maddox stood to his full towering, 6'3" and walked over to the kid that was yelling at his girlfriend. "Oi! I Suggest you bugger off, before i have to show you what I'm like." A dim fire was burning in his eyes. He wasnt in the best mood at the moment, and he had no problem using brute force. He pulled out his wand and quickly casted a non-verbal protection shield around him and Lima, before anyone else noticed.

Stepping into the common room, Savannah was hoping for and half-expected a nice quiet lounge. Surely her housemates would be doing assignments, playing outside in the cold, whatever else.. but no. She came into chaos. "What may I ask is going on here?" She questioned, catching a few last words. The sixth year was also quick to notice a drawn wand, not pointed at anyone but none the less she didn't tolerate that unless it was out for learning purposes. "And don't say nothing, I'm not going to put up with that from my own house." Savannah added firmly, halting a few feet from Maddox, Dominic and Whigalima.

Kayla shrugged at Maddox. "It's not a big secret and I'm probably going to have to tell Nicholai anyway, but only when I can handle being near him. I'm going to be having Occulmency lessons with Professor Carracio. Nico's uncle wants to meet with me because I am now running my gradnmother's business. I know the man will have me checked out, just like I am doing to him. So I wouldn't put it passed him to use legilmency on me" she took a breath before continuing. "It wouldn't be a good idea for him to see my memories especially considering a lot of them contain Nico, so I'm going to learn to block them before I meet with him."

She raised an eyebrow at Maddox. "But that's the difference isn't it though, you were not in a relationship and Nico was. Look I know girls are his downfall, the problem I'm having is that he was actually tempted by these other girls I could see it in his face. Whereas I never gave another guy a second look when I was with him" Kayla leaned up against the wall and sighed deeply. "I just don't know Maddox, I had been away and I come back and we get five minutes together before this happens. He was all I had left, the only person left who I thought cared about me. I just felt betrayed and left all alone, it's stupid I know but that's how I felt."

Kayla nodded at Maddox as he agreed to her terms. "I promise" she murmured, of course she wouldn't she was still in love with him and if there was just the slightest chance that this was a mistake... "But if I turn out to be wrong then I doubt Nicholai will ever forgive me."

Penny looked over at Mads when he got up and stood over the boy. 'Oy this is not going to be good' she thought when she looked at his eyes. She watched as he pulled his wand and she went to get up. Then she saw Savannah walk in and take charge. Penny sat back down and waited.

Of course the next thing Dominic knew was that this 'boy' was over at him, with his wand out! Well someone is a bit defensive today... the fourth year thought, waiting to see if he was finished before making a retort. "Me? Bugger off? I didn't do anything, but it was her who called me back here... if it were up to me, then ..." but he didn't get to finish, because next thing he knew was brown-haired girl from the feast was over to them asking what was going on.

That was the first time his eyes had fell onto the shiny little badge on her robes. Oh! She's a prefect... another nosy one; wait they were all nosy. "Nothing you need to worry your pretty little head about." He smiled politely at her, before turning back to face the older and much taller boy. Honestly... Prefects; think they know everything.

GAH once again, a 'nothing'. Did students REALLY take Prefects as dumb? Honestly. She just said do not say nothing. Savannah sort of expected that answer anyways, but it was no less annoying. Eyebrows raised as ocean blue eyes turned onto the younger of the two boys, the one she had thought was quiet from the feast. Also the one that tended to get scolded by Professors for eyerolling and such. "As your house Prefect when I come into the lounge and see my fellow badgers that should be getting along, are not, I believe that's enough reason to raise concern." She didn't bother adding this was even further than not getting along,.. she wasn't they're mother, scolding them yet would sure make her feel like it. "But really," Savannah went on, as a thought came to her. "If you lot don't want to tell me, I don't mind bringing a Professor into it."

OH! The know-it-all Prefect was talking again. Honestly, it wasn't like it was him who had his wand out, so surely he wasn't the one in trouble. Nope. "Oh really, well if you insist on bring a professor into this, then Mr Myers would do just nicely," Dominic replied to her, in a suggestive kind of tone, but nothing of way of harshness. So what if perhaps making the house team had made him more assertive or cocky in anyway? At least his mother should be proud of him for talking more; even if it wasn't always the nicest of comments. "But if you must know," the fourth year continued, looking briefly at Lima and the aggressive tall boy. "I was just getting to know Lima here, as I came over originally to ask her a question on Transfiguration. Was going to leave her be, but then she called me back... and somewhere between our conversation, he interjected and withdrew his wand." Dominic shrugged, not really understanding why wands were necessary. Not like he was hurting Lima or anything.

Sighing quietly, he leaned in and whispered so only Savannah could here, "Between you and me, I'd think he was jealous."

Lima sighed as suddenly chaos ensued. Out of nowhere Mads had appeared and threatened the little brat with bodily harm; and while personally she wouldn't mind it in the slightest as the kid would have deserved it, she didn't want him to run the risk of expulsion.

She was just going to tell Mads to be careful when suddenly Vannah appeared, like she always seemed to do when trouble was around - probably as a result of those Vannah Senses - and demanded to know what was going on. "Oh, crap..."

Rolling her eyes at Dom's explanation of events, she interjected, "look, I was just sitting here talking with Mads when this kid comes out of nowhere and demands that I go off with him to do research. Obviously surprised, I resisted and asked what he as doing and why he was asking me. He never gave me a straight answer and grew testy with me and walked off. Naturally I was still curious as to what was going on, so I called him back over. Then he got testy with me again. And that was when Mads came over. And you know the rest..." , she ended weakly.

Maddox had thought it would be worse then that, he was surprised that kayla had told him at all, but thankful that she trusted him. "Oh. Well its good of you to still care enough to protect him like that. I dont know much about his uncle, but i do know that he taught Nico alot." He shrugged.


Maddox wanted to ask where she had been, but decided against it. It wasnt his business and she had already told him enough. "Well, maybe he thought you werent coming back. But i cant tell you whats going on in Nico's head. All i can do is talk to him. Get his side, and hoepfully get to the bottom of this mess. And its not stupid for feeling that way Kayla. Your feelings are never stupid. Just have an open mind. Once i find out Nico's side i will tell you." He gave a weak smile hoping she would trust him.

Maddox raised his left eyebrow at her and said, "Kayla, he loves you. I'm sure he will forgive you. Dont give up on him so easily." He folded his arms across his chest again.





Maddox growled a out, "Dont make me say it again. And i dont care if she made you come back , she probably had a good reason to. Obvioulsy you were rude to her so i suggest you appologize." Maddox gave the kid a fire filled glare, and turned at the sound of Vannah entering the common room.




Maddox continued to stand next to lima holding on to her hand so that he could keep the shield in tact. He didnt want anything to happen to her if hex's were thrown.

Then vannah walked in.






Maddox sighed when savannah came in. He was hoping that wouldnt happen, but of course it did. He only had one sentence to say to her and that was, "What lima said. I'm just trying to protect her from this git that wont leave her alone." He glared at the kid.

"I think you're getting ahead of yourself, because I did not insist on anything. I suggested it, since up till now there was 'nothing to worry my pretty little head about' which was not at all true" Savannah responded cooly, quoting Dominic's first answer he gave her when she had come in requesting knowledge of why there was so much tension in their house lounge. "and don't you worry your little head over which Professor I choose to involve, if the matter calls for it." She added as an after thought, not liking the fourth year suggesting any particular person at this moment; It didn't seem he was taking any of this very seriously, as far as Savannah was concerned.

Ahah. Now they all wanted to fess up. Good, they were getting somewhere. Listening intentively to each in turn, Savannah was getting the same idea from both Maddox and Lima's side, and Dominic's. In which case the whole situation is ridiculous! Still, she let each finish before saying anything. When she did, despite her obvious disappointment in her housemates her composure remained completely unfazed. "Firstly, Maddox put your wand away now" The sixth year started, "You three are lucky I don't take this to a professor. Professor Shackleton trusts my judgement, and I'm sure if I told her of this and suggested house points being taken away it could be arranged; You do NOT bring a wand into this sort of situation, Maddox - You may have been trying to 'protect' Whigalima but she's a big girl and can take care of herself, he wasn't hurting her. Next time don't make the matter worse than it really is, because that's exactily what happened when you overreacted." Savannah was now scolding them, knowing fully well she was. She did infact believe they deserved this, especially because she wasn't taking it to a higher authority. "No name calling, and knock off the looks" She added slightly snappish, growing impatient with how childish this was, and they were being.

"You-" Turning to point to her cousin, Savannah went on "As I told Maddox, you are a big girl Lima and should have handled that ALOT better than you did. Dominic isn't going to hurt you, and you should know that. If he's really truly harrassing you - which from what I just heard he wasn't, - then you take it to a Prefect or Professor! I want you all to know how incredibly childish this is, I expect more out of my fellow Hufflepuffs, and I'm sure the rest of our house does too!"

"It is entirely normal for students of the same house, or any other house for that matter, to talk. If Lima didn't want to talk to Dominic, Lima shouldn't have called him over in the first place." Finally taking a moment to pause, Savannah hoped this was all sinking in because if this happened again she wasn't letting them off with a warning - a Professor would be involved. She did not tolerate wands being drawn to conflict harm on another! "Dominic, you need to be a little more respectful towards your peers.. treat others how you wish to be treated; If your rude or 'testy' with someone, you can't very well expect them to act any different with you."

She smiled at him and said, "I try my best." She leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Then she shrugged at his next comment. She understood what he was getting at and took it all in good stride. "No problem," she said shrugging.

Lima was appreciative of how protective he was of her 'cause it showed ho much he cared for her, but this whole thing was making her nervous. "Please, Mads. Don't get carried away..." She was starting to really worry that something like what happened at Durmstrang might happen to him here.

Lima listened to Vannah lecture her in shock. But then that was Vannah for you... Sighing she said, "look, you have a point here; this isn't the best way to handle things. I agree there. But I was dealing with him as best I could. You know me, Vannah, I can be as feisty as anyone." Sighing she added, "this won't happen again though..." She really wanted to stick up for Mads, but she knew that that wouldn't really help. The excuses wouldn't work on her cousin.

Dominic sighed as he listened to Lima's description of the how the events happened. Rolling his eyes, he was in disbelief at what she was saying. "You got pretty testy with me yourself, being that you automatically assumed that i would know this guy - Mads, is his name? - is your boyfriend." He retorted back, turning his head to look at the tall boy.

The tall boy - Mads - growled at him and was telling him that he was rude to her!! Honestly, the nerve of the kid; he didn't do anything of such... at least not this time. Protect her from this git? Oh, really smart... calling someone younger than you names. He glared back, but didn't dare say anything. Nor apologize.

For then, the next thing he knew was the Prefect had spoken again, surprisingly rather calmly. This girl had quite a bit of patience, in which the fourth year gave her tremendous credit for. "Fine, but it was merely a suggestion over which Professor to retrieve." Dominic replied back nonchalantly. As if he really cared over which Professor; Mr Myers just seemed cool and plus, he owed him a trip to the common room anyway.

Watching the Prefect was intense; he was sure he was going to get in trouble, as it seemed Mads - no was it Maddox? Whatever his face was - and Lima banded together against his story. But thankfully, Savannah was fair and true to both sides; a true badger, perhaps? Dominic couldn't help but smirk when she told Mads or Maddox to put his wand away; no matter what the outcome, at least that part, he was right about. Professor Shackleton? Oh that name sounded familiar... right, Arithmancy Professor and Head of House. But she wouldn't dare suggest points being taken away from her own house, would she?! Gulping nervously, he glanced at the three older badgers.

Ah. She was scolding them! Well mostly Mads for his wand and namecalling; pfft, he totally knew that it was childish to call someone names too.

And then she addressed Lima and told her that he wasn't going to hurt her; that part was true. Even in all his unplanned scheming, he had never intended to hurt her or anyone. He nodded at Savannah's words towards Lima, in complete agreement with her words. Her quite mature words at that too...

And then she finally turned to him again and addressed his rudeness factor. Oops! So perhaps he had been a bit rude, even though he didn't think he was anymore rude than she was. But after this, he wasn't about to argue again. Gulping once more, he sighed before speaking. "I didn't think I was that rude, but obviously, as I've learned in the few weeks since being here, people's perceptions of you are vastly different from what you think."

Kayla shrugged. "Yeah maybe. I never did tell him when I would be back" probably because she didn't know herself. "Okay Maddox, talk to Nicholai. But you don't have to tell meanything if you don't want to or if Nico asks you not to. I'm not going to hold you to anything" she looked over her shoulder at the commotion Denton was causing and she rolled her eyes. Maybe she should hit him with her book again.

"I don't know what it is Maddox, I've only really just met you and yet I feel as though I can trust you" she admitted somewhat reluctantly but it was true. "I'll try my best but he's not making it easy for me" she gave him a faint smile as she pushed off the wall. "I think you better go and sort Denton out before that big head of his becomes too much for this coomon room. I'll talk to you later" Kayla turned to head up to the dormitory but before she had taken a step, she turned and looked over her shoulder. "Thanks for listening Maddox, it really means a lot" with that said she made her exit from the common room.
