Amelia looked over as a young girl, apparently also a Hufflepuff, walked over to where she was standing with the professors. She was about to respond and introduce herself, when 'quidditch woman' spoke again.

Five points!? she thought, her mouth dropping in shock. Not her fault that when she was polite the professors were cold and almost fake... Half-wit jock? Who? And then when she introduced herself it made sense. This was Max's replacement? It took great self control to resist rolling her eyes. "Oh thank you, Madam Wystan. That was sweet of you," she said, trying to maintain as polite and sweet as possible. Ugh; they had to be sent by the ministry. This was going to be a fun term... first term where she actually lost points!

Sighing, she gazed down the staff table, hoping Madam Kohan had seen this behavior.

Ashley's jaw dropped pulling from Jane's grip
"WHAT" Ashley yelped "I didn't do anything why can't I be up here and talk what difference is it from talking any where else? This is sooooo unfair. and what do you mean 'lady like' I'm a girl my voice is lady like!" Ashley ranted upset by the unfair loss of points

Dion's smile remained where it was as she watched the hufflepuff girl. "That'll be enough out of you. I suggest you head back to your table now," her voice sounded dangerous, "or I'll take off another 10."

"And who are you any way?" Ashley said " I think this is stupid" Ashley said and turned to Jane ready to leave but couldn't bring herself to stop glareing at the wicked proffesor

Jane took Ashley's silence as a cue to pull her away from the table as fast as possible, "Come one. This isn't worth losing house points," she whispers to Ash, and gesturig toward the giant hourglasses.

Wystan started laughing at the younger girl's blatant refusal to follow directions. "Tsk, tsk, tsk. Manners, Miss Hufflepuff. Do as we say and walk back to your House table like an obeidient little girl and refrain from questioning your professors."

Amelia couldn't but let out the vaguest hint of a smile as the Dion lady teased her and Madam Wystan had already told her. "Oh that is a very tempting suggestion, Miss Dion," she replied, "I shall need to remember those days should I ever need to seek help on the grounds."

Her smile then faltered as the groundskeeper removed points for Hufflepuff and Slytherin for lack of manners. Seems some people haven't been around kids in awhile...

Turning her attention back to the professor, she shook her head. "Oh no, nothing else will be needed at this time. Thank you," she said, offering a slight curtsy out of politeness. They want to play the 'mannerism' card, she was prepared now to play it right back.


Amelia was about to head back to her table, or at the very least go say hello to Kohan, when she heard the girl's complaining. Wide-eyed, she looked at the young girl warningly, 'just take it for what it is, no complaining, please' she urged, in a low whisper that it was barely audible.

"Uh oh, I'm afraid that another 10 from hufflepuff. Aren't you on quite the roll? Do you and your house a favour, child, stop right now." Dion's smile was gone, it was replaced with a cold, expressionless face. "I'm Miss Dion, your groundskeeper for the year. Learn my name, you'll be seeing quite a bit of me. Now, leave, please." She looked to the Slytherin, "you there. Please remove your friend, she seems to have a hard time understanding simple instructions."

She leaned back in her chair again, turning her head to Xy, "and she said we weren't getting to know the students." She chuckled lightly, he face back to it's cheerful self.

"House points! who cares they'll just give it to the most lady like girl here." Ashley snorted curtsied sarcasticly and turned to leave once again heading to the slytherin with Jane.

"Perhaps we should write to the Minister and request several more rules regarding respect towards professors," Xylia smiled and leaned back in her chair. "He always is a reasonable one." And perhaps with enough persuasion, he'll lift the ban on using magic as punishment. The mere thought made her violet eyes sparkle.

"I'm going to have to agree with you there. Such disrespectful students," she shook her head lightly. "I wouldn't be caught dead talking back to a professor. Shame...I thought they'd already be a well mannered group. I guess there's a few bad apples in this bunch." Dion drummed her fingers on the table while nodding in agreement to what Xylia had said, "Cooper is a great man."

Kaika just walked as soon as Ashley left, and heard the bits this 'professor' said, "Bad apples, huh?" she thought, narrowing her eyes, she cleared her throat, crossing her arms on her back, she had quite an upset expression, "Excuse me for interrupting your very...important conversation" Kaika said, looking back at both the women, oops, professors. Her eyes turned quickly to the one who took 5 points from Amelia, "I heard you say you were, the Flying instructor?" she started to ask, "Is it right Ms. Wystan?" she continued, she was very composed at the moment, "I was wondering if perhaps you knew how Quidditch will be held this term, and if you'll be the new, umm, referee, of course, if we're allowed to play?" she didn't care for everything else, except for Quidditch related questions that no one seemed to answer.

Ella walked over the Staff Table. She wanted to clear her doubts. She chose the Charms Professor who looked calm and nice with everyone.
"Hi Professor" she said with a pleasant smile, "I'm Ella Stone, new to this school. And I've a doubt. Can I ask?" she asked eyes quickly wandered around the staff table and got the glimpse of all the teachers.

Callie sat there in stunned belief. When the students had left the table, she just shook her head and muttered "I would never have dared to talk to a Professor like that when I was at Hogwarts. What has come over these girls? I know this isn't Hogwarts, and I don't blame them for being angry, I'd much rather be at Hogwarts myself, but we're all in the same boat here. What good is it to take it out on us? I'm telling you, I was so tempted to cast a silencing charm on that little Hufflepuff girl. Honestly the nerve of her talking back like that. I hope this isn't a sign of the way the term is going to go. I might have to prepare some extra special charms for them if that's the case," Callie smirked.



And then as almost on cue, another student came up to the table, this time wanting to talk to Callie.
"Ella," Callie nodded. She wanted to smile, but the frustration of the previous students outbursts made this difficult. "I'm Professor Hawkins. "You say you have a doubt? What about?" She asked, giving the girl a bewildered look.

Ella's eyes looked into her deeply like she was going to mesmerise her. "Nice to meet you Professor" she replied and didnt forget to notice her tensed face.
"Yeah" she added, "Is this kind of hufflepuff stuffs are normal here? Or any special tratement for this term alone? " she asked without a gap. after all She couldnt digest the whole atmosphere.
"If there's anything we can do to improve this, I'll be ready" she gave a word, honestly. She needed a better atmosphere after all.

Professor Shackleton looked quizzically at Reese as she accepted the note. With each line she read, her eyes grew larger and larger, while her jaw dropped lower and lower. She snapped her head up with a look of shock, anger, but mostly disappointment, upon on her face. She glanced to her right at Dion and Wystan, whose interaction she had just watched with several Hufflepuff students, and decided it best not to holler at Reese for her behavior. Instead, she rose from her seat, walked around the front of the table and rested her hand upon Reese's shoulder, guiding her away from the ear-range of those at the staff table.

Macadrian hissed, "Reese, what on earth were you thinking?! How dare you do such a thing! Honestly, if you hadn't already been penalized as heavily in house points I would have taken off a whole bunch more. As it is, Professor Vindictus and the others seem to have already taken care of that aspect of the matter. However, you will be serving detention with me - at least two of them. But it won't be in the dungeons..." Macadrian wanted to keep this private and not let the Ministry-approved professors know. She wasn't sure what type of punishments they would devise, but she knew that if she did it herself, the punishment would be appropriate and not excessive. "I'd like you to report to my office tomorrow morning and you will begin your first punishment. And if you ever, EVER do this again, I can assure you suspension or expulsion will be appropriate. Do I make myself clear, young lady?"

"You're welcome, Feel free to drop by my hut at any time to let me know how you went." Sophie called.


Sophie turned to hear Rae's speech. The ministry professors were sure going to be a pain. She already didn't like them. They were going to drive the poor girls mad, well not if she couldn't help. The girls were welcome to visit her hut at any time.

The ministry needed to stay out of it. Hogwarts didn't need any improvements as far as she thought. Sophie frowned slightly, feeling awful for Rae.


"Oh I know. I've been stung a couple of times and I must say, it is the best feeling ever. Almost like you are as light as a feather." Sophie said, with a sly smile as she remembered her previous experiences with the billywigs.

Sophie grinned. "Oh I don't think I want to see you without access to your books. I have to admit that I learn more form practical experiences rather than books, but it is great to rug up and read a good book once in a while." She smiled.

Sophie nudged her head over to the ministry teachers and rolled her eyes at Angela, hoping they'd she get her hint. "Not very pleasant, I must say." She smirked.

"Yes yes. It is fascinating and I agree. Such a shame that it isn't so widely recognised as it should. If you ask me, I believe it deserves a lot more recognition than it gets. Don't you worry, I've had my fair share of injuries. I just happen to have an excellent healer." Sophie laughed. "Oh! You are more than welcome to! Stop by any time, but don't be silly! When I'm through with you, the angriest of all hippogriffs will love you. It is never about luck, just talent." She winked. Sophie's mouth nearly dropped to the floor when she heard the next thing Callie had to say. "You HEXED one! How could you do that to such an innocent creature?" Sophie said with her voice rising a little too much that it should. She shock her head is disgrace. "I think you do need to work on that a little bit." She mumbled, a bit embarrassed that she had lost her temper.



Sophie looked over to see two of the ministry giving students a hard time. She has been listening to their conversation and had finally had enough of it. "Excuse me ladies! Don't you think you are being a little harsh on the girls? It's only the first day back and they are very confused with the new arrangements of the schools."

Lainey hugged Rae with one arm and ate her tuna sandwich with the other. She was bothered, sure, but not the way Rae was. "You know what I was thinking about today, Rae?" Lainey asked, pausing only a second to swallow, "You remember the time during Auror training... and we camped out under the porch just to get some sleep?" It was a pleasant memory, one to take Rae's mind off the... mess... going on around them. "We need to build us a porch to hide out under until this is all over."

Though, truth be known, a large crocodile inhabited trench to bury Cooper and his idiot wife in would do just as well.

"Go away," Lainey shooed off the little beast of a House Elf. "SHOO. Go bug someone else. We're busy. We're under our porch. "

Algamus jumped after Argyle. Elvies' are in kitchens! Not in Great halls! But when Algie looked up at the hall, he gasped in horror. "This is not Hogwarts!" He wailed, grabbing his ears. Seeingsies Argyle going to Headmistress', Algamus follows her, tears in his eyes.

"Mistress, mistress!" he cried, holding his ears tightly.

Lainey growled at the little beasts. "I said SHOO!" Lainey raised her leg up and took her shoe off. "I'll give it to you! I WILL! Leave her alone! Go clean something or be creepy somewhere else! Away from the food!" She thrust her shoe at them.

Xylia laughed. "Are you kidding me? We are not being 'harsh' as you call it. Perhaps you need to read the Ministry approved rules and guidelines for professors at this illustrious institution. The rules clearly state that students are not to interrupt professors during meal times," she said smugly.

"Learn to read Badger and leave us alone," Wystan smirked and tossed a broken breadstick at the girl.

"You is not our mistresses!" Algamus snapped. "Mistress is our Mistresses! She is telling us what we dosies! You is not liking us and you is always asking us to be leave you alone! We not listen to you! You saidsies that before!" Algamus sniffed, his hands still on his ears.

"Mistresses! Mistresses! Where is Hogwarts?! Is this punshminet for elvsies?!"

Lainey turned her stool so that her back was to the little beasts. She hated the House elves. They were creepy and always up to no good. How Rae stayed loyal to them, Lainey would never know.

She mumbled something about, "serving house elf kebabs for dinner." She let out a loud sigh. Great. Now she had a view of the new staff. Maybe serve them as dinner too if they mistreated the Ravenclaws.

Nikki walked up to the staff table. she really wanted answers so she went up to a professor and said "Excuse me Professor, I'm new from Beauxbaton and I was wondering if the school is always like this?" She asked trying to be kind and sweet. "And why are the tables so different from each other?" She was probrably pushing it but she wanted answers.

Brittany sat listening to her all fellow teachers talking, they seemed like a bright group, she knew the students here at the school were going to be in for an exciting year. Plus, she was here now with her fun ideas, she was determined to keep the students busy with new, fascinating classes of her own. They would soon forget there were no boys around, who needed boys, anyway?

Brittany decided she better not reflect too long on that question. Brushing the thought off, she began to try to get her scattered mind straight. This always happened when she started to get too excited! Well, the students were going to like her ideas, she knew that much. If they didn't, she would deal with that issue her way. The Department of Magical Education was depending on her to teach, and teach she would!

She suppressed a giggle. Who wouldn't love her?
