Tippin peeked up from behind one of the nasty non-professors' chairs at Algie, Ooooooooooh Algie's in troooouuuble! Jumping out at the mean professor lady, Lainey who is always mean to them, Tippin pointed at her, "Beggin' pardon, Miss Professor Lady, Ma'am, but we is not tasting as good as foodsies cooked in Hogwarts!"

He wailed melodramatically and covered his eyes, "Tippin cants cooks without Hogwarts paaaans!"

"Nope. This is all brand new. Constructed just for you," and certainly not to better the hold Coop and what's-her-face had on the school. "Shall I lend you an owl to send your thanks directly to the Minister's wife? That's Clara Belle-Cooper. Send her all your ... erm... fan mail. And concerns. " In other words, it was out of Lainey's hands.

"I will dress you up in my favorite dress and pearls if you don't get away from me!" BAH! They'd been too close to her tuna sandwich and now she'd have to throw it away. BAH!

"We is needing our old pans!" Wailed Algamus as well, pulling his ears closer to him. They were so close, they might snap! "Mistresses is punishing elvises! Elvises naughty! Naughty!" Algamus changed, grabbing Tippin's head and smacking it against his own.

Tippin was just getting excited about the idea of being dressed up in girly clothes when Algie started smacking his head against his own, "We is *KNOCK* bad! *KNOCK* We is *KNOCK* being *KNOCK* punished!" he wailed, tears flowing from his eyes. What had they done? Why were they being punished? Hogwarts don't want them no more!

Jezz walked up to the table slowly and after watching all that was going on, she made her way to her Head of House. She looked at her and said, "Excuse me, Professor Lainey?" Then she waited for the Professor to finish her food and her discussion with the house elves. She had heard something while walking up about being lady-like and although it killed her, she was determined not to lose more house points. She had done enough damage already.

Nikki looked up at the professor angrly and said "Ma'am that isn't what I mean't, this is unfair to everyone else." She had tears in her eyes. "Sorry to bother you." She said turning away and brushing the tears from her eyes. She missed Joe and Nico and all the other boys and she couldn't stand all her friends in other houses being treated like this.

The two elves may have got a concussion from how they kept smacking each other's heads. "Algie is BAD elf!" *KNOCK* "Algie is sorry, Mistress! Algie be good agains! Algamus promises!"

Lainey sighed. "I'm sorry darling. You don't have to talk to me about unfair. Drop by my office after the feast and I'll talk with you there." Away from these idiotic little big eared beasts and the equally unlikeable Ministry pawns.

Lainey ignored them. They didn't exist, they didn't exist, they didn't exist. "SHOOOO!" So, they did exist and they were annoying.

Lainey took a deep breath and wrapped her sandwich up to be thrown away. "Hello, Jezz. What's up?"

One of his fat tears dripped off his pointy nose onto Professor Lainey Ma'am's robes and he sniffled, "Oh no! Tippin is naughty!" he tore away from Algie and threw himself at Lainey's feet, blubbering at her robes, "Tippin washes Miss Professor Lainey Ma'am's robes with extra care now!"

Jezz smiled at the Professor. It was nice to see a familiar face that she could trust. "Well, as you know, the school has been seperated. And I know this shouldn't be at the top of my worries list, but our Quidditch Captain is Ryan and now he's gone and we don't have a Quidditch Captain anymore." She frowned at the thought. Then she leaned forward and whispered, "I have a few other things I need to talk to you about, maybe after the feast?" As Erickson had warned her, she didn't trust the new professors at all.

Nikki turned around and head what the professor said. she could have ask to talk now but these ministry people where here. "Yes Professor. of course." She said and turned to the Slytherin table and walked back.

Algamus gasped once a big drop fell onto Lainey's robes. "No Tippin!" But it was too late, the younger elf had already touched the womans' robes. "Madame Lainey, Ma'am!" He squeaked, grabbing her rob as to pull it away from Tippin's grasp.

For the second time in a matter of minutes, Sophie hound her mouth to drop wide open once more. "Nooo!" She called, running over to the house else. "They haven't done any thing wrong. Surly we could be kind enough to explain what is going on, to these innocent creatures." Sophie exclaimed.

Sophie matched her smug expression and said, "Actually I haven't seem to have found any time to read the ministry rules. What a shame! Rules are always made to be broken." She smiled, with an obvious fake expression.

"Oh I quite agree quite agree," she nodded and then excused herself to address to other ladies.
"You are certainly most welcome," she cooed as if to a young child. "Callie. Such a lovely name. And yes, they are most certainly safe to eat. Tese are Dear Berty's favorites, in fact." She said "Dear Berty" with quite a bit of expressed adoration.
"And you are most welcome, too. Please feel free to drop in at any time for more."
"Oh, bravo, bravo! A stirring rousing speech!" Melita cried excitedly as she she gave a standing ovation (even going to far as to stand on her cushioned chair).
"Oh I love Miss Belle. Or is that Mr. Cooper now?" she winked. "Oh goodness, she is just such a peach!" Melita gushed and probably nearly wet herself.
"Oh no, you poor poooooor dears! And threatening them with clothes! Where is your sense of decency?!?!" she gasped at Lainey's response to the poor house elves. "I can't imagine The Minister or his wonderful wife neglecting the kitchen pans. I will of course need to go down and inspect immediately!"

Lainey took a deep, calming breath through her nose as she gave Nikki a nod. If she didn't have enough problems, now she had house elves attacking her. "Merlin help you, little ... elf.. thing..., if you touch my robes. You'll poison me again! I won't have it! Away with you! SHOOOO!"

Lainey shook her head. "Can you believe them? Honestly. Merlin." She was ready to choke someone. "Yeah... we'll talk after the feast. I think... I think we'll be okay though, Jezz. Tell the other girls not to worry. We'll survive and you know we'll find some fun somewhere. Just.. don't worry."

Lainey laughed out loud, a loud cackling laugh. "Noooo don't go there Miss New Animal Rights. They're far from innocent and I won't have them near my food or stressing out Rae. Wont, won't, won't!"


And then.... the nails hit the chalkboard. Melita. Aka: UGH. Lainey put her fist to her mouth to keep from talking to her.

Jezz nodded. "Thank you Professor." She turned and walked quietly back to the Ravenclaw Table.

Sophie raised her eyebrows at this woman. "It's Brooks, Sophie Brooks. And they are the reason behind your food. If they are stressing Rae out, they why are they still her? She obviously likes them, no?" Sophie said in a relaxed tone. She didn't need a fight on her first day, but most of the staff were compete nutcases!

"Not my food," Lainey pointed to her brown paper bag. Homeade tunafish sandwich, thank you very much! "I only ask for them to leave me alone and let Rae have a quiet meal." Lainey's lips pursed into a flat line. She hated the ones that thought House Elves were all so innocent and pure. They were nothing short of evil and they were going to take over the world one day. Lainey knew. She'd be ready for it too.

Angela's eyes widened slightly. "Really? That must have been a fascinating experience!" She exclaimed. "Though I'll certainly take your word for it. I won't go looking for billywigs just to experiment with it myself." She chuckled.

"Hmm, you're right about that. I do love my books; any kind of book really. Do you have a favorite genre?"

She blew out a long breath, frowning in the direction of the two Ministry officials. "Not at all." She muttered, moments later choking back a laugh at Sophie's retort about Ministry rules. Oh, she and Sophie would get along very well.

Her head turned at that moment in the direction of Lainey and a few house elves. Oh goodness! Her hand rose to her head. This was not the time for a headache, but she could feel the beginnings of one at the very edges of her eyes.

"It will never happen,again,"Reese said."I promise."

Brittany began to eye the students who were assembled here again, this time in a calculating way. She wondered if any of these girls would dare to try to sneak into the other school to visit with their boyfriends. She pursed her lips. If that happened, if she caught any of theses girls trying anything like that, she would make sure they would regret it. She was ditsy and lighthearted, but she was also a stickler for the rules especially where the Ministry was concerned.

Amelia eyed Dion and Wystan carefully, trying not to overhear what they had to say as she backed away from the staff table overlooking onto the other staff members. However, she couldn't help herself hear as one of them mentioned something about ...disrespectful... and bad apples... She sighed; the nerve of them to talk about someone when they were still within hearing distance.

Before she could lose anymore points, she turned ninety degrees and walked towards where a decent face sat. The librarian. Although she couldn't help but smile at the commotion the house elves were making over by Lainey - it was slightly funny.

"Madame Kohan!" the seventh year exclaimed, as she approached the kind woman. "How was your summer? I've missed you..."

Well Ari would never have said that a begining of the term feast was ever boring....and this one was certainly anything but. Only this time most of the drama seemed to stem from her own collegues. Food fights seemed to be expected but Ari couldn't remember a time when there had been so much emotion all at once...and in such a short amount of time.

She was going to miss the boys around for sure. Especially Eddie. They had been able to see each other while at the Leaky Cauldron but now she couldn't even owl with him. That part was going to stink. Ari was pretty sure she might go a bit crazy with all the female emotions going out of control. If her father had ever thought her and her sister were bad ....he would have never survived this. Ari gave a sigh and tucked into her food and did her best to not draw to much attention to the sillyness some of the other professors exhibited.

Angela removed the hand from her head as a voice called our her name. Moving her gaze in the direction of the sound, her face immediately broke into smile. "Amelia, dear!" She greeted. "Oh, it was quite wonderful. I was able to spend most of my time relaxing and reading."

She smiled again, quite warmly at this revelation. "And how was your summer? I hope you didn't spend it studying." She scolded playfully. Wait a minute...that wasn't a prefect badge that sat upon the girl's robes. "Quidditch?" She asked surprised. "Well, congratulations to you!"

Norma wheezed then coughed into her napkin, apprently it was confirmed. She's officially allergic to children, pesty little creatures. Oh how it is to be endured? perhaps a remedy or a potion of sorts would help her. She harrumphed thoughtfully, "discipline my foot" she waved a hand as she muttered to herself, "can't even sit on there little bums more than five minutes.. the incompetence"
