In a dark corner of the library there are a few students congregated in the shadows of the bookcases. Their voices are soft and they conduct themselves in a polite manner.They are simply those who enjoy the darkness. Though the hushed voices around him were hardly a distraction, Evan moved along the tables, arching his eyebrows as he passed the chattering students. He soon found an empty corner, not far from one of the more hushed pairs of students, but still a better alternative than any other. He noiselessly sat down, taking a thin volume from his inner pocket and putting it on the table in front of him. He didn't start reading yet, but sat in silence, or simply in anticipation. |

Chiyo walked into the library and sat alone in a corner. Her face was streaked with tears, and she was still sniffing. Fresh tears ran down her face, and she buried her head in her arms.
After about a half hour of silently crying, she stood up, wiped her tears, and walked out, desparate to find someone to talk to.

"Fake reading..." she said, as she finally turned back around. "That never works with me. I'll either fall asleep or find a distraction," she added, thinking back to the last time she had actually paid attention to a book. Shrugging those memories away, she smiled at his latest comment and said, "Interesting? Not so much. With me, it's more like you have too much on your mind and you're trying to busy yourself in hopes to forget whatever it is you're hiding up there."
