Esphon's eyes closed reverently as Astrid replied, "He's Esphon... he's pretty friendly, once he gets to know you." As the kitten nibbled on Christy's finger (ooc: bit you, right? O_o), Astrid looked worriedly at her, "You okay? What's your kitten's name by the way?"

Christy smiled and looked at Esphon. "What an interesting name. I like it. I'm okay. I'm used to him biting me. His name is Oliver." She looked down at the little kitten and stroked him behind his ears. "He's a trouble maker, but he's so adorable." She shrugged and grinned. "So what year are you in?"

Jordana walked through the library and made her way to a quiet corner of the library. She didn't want the whispers of other students to distrub her concentration. She wanted to do well on her first assignment so she chose the most secluded and noise free space that was available.

She sat down at a table that looked like it had been occupied not too long ago. She cleared the books and set her bag down on the table. She took out her Herbology book, 3 pieces of parchment, her quill, and ink. She looked around to see if she saw anyone, but she didn't. She began to write, and was soon miles away from the library, and lost in her work.

Akila followed Jordana to ask her a doubt in her subject.

Dana signed she. Put the book down and started writing a letter to he mom. Her last letter she had writen had fell in the Lake when her owl Shadow had gotten hurt.

Jordana looked up from writing. She had managed to get a good deal of information down on her parchment. Jordana noticed that someone was approaching her table. She wasn't sure if she had ever met this individual. As she approached the table Jordana smiled at her. Not sure if she was approaching her, Jordana began writing on her parchment once again. Jordana looked up once more, just to make sure it wasn't anyone she knew, as the girl got closer she realized it was AKila. She smiled at her and waved.

Akila smiled and waved at Jordana too. She asked her whether she's willing to help her with the charms subject

Jordana was happy that someone she knew had come to the library. She didn't like being alone, at least not in the library. She gestured for Akila to sit down at her table. "Hey Akila. How are you?" she asked her. Akila seemed to be needing help with her charms homework. "Yeah of course I'll help you with your charms." Jordana said with a smile. "So what seems to be the problem?" she asked

Well Jordana, I tried to zoom things around pretty smoothly with the wingardium Leviosa charm. I don't know what seems to be the problem but it just doesn't go in the right direction. Do you think my swish and flick movement is improper?

Jordana listened to Akila tell her about her levitating dilemma. "Sounds to me like your wrist motion might be a little off." she said to her. "It's all in the wrist movement so, I think you should perfect that before you try it again." she said to her. Jordana took out her wand from her robes and began to show Akila the proper movement of the wand combined with the gentle movement of the wrist. "Do you see, its a soft gentle movement, it isn't rough at all. You try." she said to Akila as she put her wand back in her robes.

Akila saw Jordana her beautiful and smooth movement. She tried it. It was really an improvement but didn't achieve the perfect smoothness.

"Well thats a start. Just keep practicing, without the incantation of course. And when you feel that you have achieved the best possible "swish and flick" movement then try it all together, and I'm sure you'll be able to perform the spell properly." she said to her as she padded her on the hand.

Gee thanks Jordana. I'm glad that you are always there for me whenever I need you even though we belong to different houses. *sighs*

"No problem. I'm just glad that I could help." said Jordana with a smile. "So what do you think of classes so far? I'm working on our Herbology homework right now. Its pretty easy." said Jordana as she reached in her bag to take out another quill.

Well they are fairly easy. Wow 3 roles of parchment??? That's a lot of work...

"Yes I know. I'm almost done. I feel pretty confident about what I have done so far so as soon as I finish I'm going to go and turn it in." she said with a smile and very proud look on her face. "So what else have you been up to today?" she asked as she put her quill down.

"NOt much Jor". Just did my assignments.

Hermy approached the library corners with a pile a books in her arms. Moving towards a table, she noticed Jor and someone that she recognised but hand not properly met before. "Hey Jor," she said as she approached. "And hello to....umm, who?"

"Akila" said she to her.

"Hey Hermy!" Jordana said to her as she walked up with a pile of books in hand once again. Jordana was about to introduce Akila but she had already done it. "We were just talking about Herbology and Charms class. Still studying?" she asked. "So what do you think guys I'm going to send in my sample article to The Quill. I want to get the advice columnist post. Do you guys think thats a good idea?" she asked her friends hoping for an honest reply.

Hermy smiled "Well, hello Akila" she said. She put down the books she was carrying and flicked back her hair. Since using the serum Jor had lent her, Hermy's hair was sleek enough to wear in pretty much any way she wanted, and today she was enjoying the light ribbon curls that felt around her shoulders.

"So, what brought you peoples to this part of the library?" Hermy asked, noticing Jor's pile of books. "The quill eh? Go for it...I went for the quidditch teamin the end!"

Noticing Hermy's hair Jordana smiled. "My, my I do declare Hermy, your hair looks mighty pretty today." Jordana said in a Southern Accent.

"I came back here because it was quiet and I wanted to get this Herbology assignment over with." she said as she roled her parchment and put it in her bag. "What brings you back here?" she asked Hermy with a smile.

Hermy looked down at the parchment where Jor had been writing. "Whoa," she said "How much have you got to write? I missed the lesson....is it difficult to catch up?" She felt angry that she had managed to miss the first lesson of the term. She had planned to show the muggles that she was good and deserved to be at this school - and good marks were a part of that.

"I came to read through these," she said, pointing to the books. "I'm getting the Potions bug I think...oh, and Arithmancy. I can't wait for the first lessons."

"I've written quite a lot. I just have one more role of parchment to go." she said to her. "It's quite easy to catch up, all of the information is in our text, and you can always go back to the class and catch up." she said to Hermy. "Also I can lend you my notes if you want." Jordana said to her as she reached into her bag and extracted her Herbology notebook.

Hermy eyed what Jor had written "Only one more roll of parchment....cor that is a lot. I think you deserve some chocolate." She pulled a massive golden bar out of her bag. "I worked out where Herc went. He visited my mates for some rations - how he managed to carry this back by himself I don't know, or how he knew that they were my friends - he didn't go anywhere except Diagon Alley or my house with me. Maybe he's cleverer than I originally thought." She broke a chunk off the bar and offered it to the others. "Want some?"
