Rosa'd just been driving the wheelbarrow full of snow to the dungpile when the earthquake hit. With difficulty she managed to keep it straight, but one of the shovels fell out and hit her leg before she jumped backwards. The floor was still moving when her feet touched it again and she immediately was dragged to the floor. somehow she ended up on her bottom. She scrambled up and put the shovel back in the wheelbarrow. 'I'm all right' she said. she drove the wheelbarrow the last bit to the dungpile and put the remainder of the snow in it. Then she put the wheelbarrow and the shovels away and returned to sections 25-30 to get the broom she'd left there. A few pots'd fallen. She turned around to patrick. 'I think we have to clean this up first.' she said. The damage to the plants wasn't too big. The earth in the pots was hard and frozen and the roots of the fallen plants were still in lumps of earth.
She got some new pots from the front of the greenhouse and put the plants in it with some fresh, soft earth and some hard lumps of earth from the floor. It wasn't too bad to be in this section any more, it seemed as if it was warmer... Rosa jumped up and walked to the thermometer to check the temperature. 3 degrees centigrade... 'erm, professor?' she called out. 'I think the earthquake's damaged the thermostate!

Cecil found himself wandering into the herbology greenhouse. Smiling at the various students he saw, he wandered over to Virohsa. "Hello professor, good day. Mind if I ask you what you are teaching your students here?" He asked, smiling warmly and tipping his hat.

She backed away a bit when noticing that Erica had been bitten by plants. After all, she knew only yoo well what the effects of that were -- for her anyways. The girl shuddered.

"I'm fine," Alex replied shortly to Jaren and blinked at the whole scene. She had been quite dumbstruck at what had been happening. Shaking her head and with a small sigh, the girl wamdered back over to the board to see what was next on the list when she noticed a strange man she had never seen before entering the Greenhouse.

Frowning slightly, she eyed the man with a hint of curiosity. Could it be ...?

Jaren got up, walking briskly to the back of the Greenhouse and checking on the students he passed, and nodded briefly in greeting to Mr. Townsend as he came in, oblivious of what had transpired.

"I don't suppose there was an earthquake outside the Greenhouse, sir?" He asked briefly as he scanned over the damage and the students reporting.

Seeing that all the students were allright, Professor Virohsa waved her wand and all the pots were back on their rightful place. And yes, the plants were placed back. Just as she was about to answer Jaren's question, she heard a voice addressing her.

Professor Virohsa turned around and nodded at the stranger. "Of course you may. However, I'm not teaching anything at the moment. We are simply working with plants and taking care of the Greenhouse. You are welcome to stay and watch, as you are to come to my Herbology class", she said politely.

"Would you like a tour of the premises?, she inquired.

Laurasia was about to tell Professor Virohsa that she had been in the Warm Weather area when the weird activities started, but she stopped as the Ministry Inspector entered the Greenhouse. She managed a courteous smile, even though her head was pounding.

"Excuse me Professor Virohsa, I'll leave you with our guest & continue my work," she said with a slight bow. She slowly made her way to her bag, her head pounding & spinning all of the while. Once she reached it, she began to look through the inner pockets. Finally finding what she was looking for, she smiled & pulled out a small vial. She opened the vial & quickly drank the potion within. Almost immediately some of the problems were leaving. Her headache & fatigue began to lift. She pulled out a handkerchief & pressed it to the place on her head that was bleeding. Feeling rather relieved now that the pounding was lessening, she rose & searched for what to do.

The floors, of course. The floors were less than desireable after everything that had happened, so Laurasia grabbed 3 brooms. The first two she enchanted & set about sweeping, the third she used manually. She headed towards Jaren. "Can I talk to you for a moment Jaren?" Not waiting for an answer, & not really expecting one, she continued. "Are there any ghosts or poltergeists left in the school? What happened in that back area was not an earthquake. The pots were just being thrown around by...nothing. I was trying to clean it up & get out of there because it just didn't...feel right back there, & then one of the pots were thrown & hit me in the head. No earthquake did that. Do you think that it could have been one of the schools spirits?"

"Samea is the only spirit left, and she's a poltergeist," Jaren muttered back, under pretense of taking one of the brooms from Laurasia and beginning to sweep up what debris remained after Professor Virohsa's cleanup. "Then again, she hasn't yet attacked someone out of sheer malice, nor has she done something this serious that might have intentionally hurt someone."

After forcefully praying that plant string which had so willingly attatched itself to Nadia's leg, Nadia herself finally got to her feet to look around. The guy Townsend was over there too! Looks like he was everywhere alright.

She brushed herself off to the time she looked around, picking up some of the conversation Jaren and Laurasia were having. "Samea had done enough out of sheer malice alright. And poltergeist are the only kind of spirits that can move things -- ouch!"

She stared at her hand, something had pierced though her skin. "I would dare guess the roots of one of the trees moved," she added, while checking her hand for signals of a rose horn.

Laurasia looked up when Nadia chimed in. They had both mentioned a poltergeist named Samea. She wondered. "Well, do you think that is what happened? I mean, maybe whatever it was didn't deliberately hit me in the head with that pot. All I know is it split my head open." She put the handkerchief back up to her head to see if it was still bleeding. A small dark red spot was on the center of the handkerchief when she pulled it away. She sighed deeply.

"I only hope that I don't have a concussion or anything. Things were pretty fuzzy afterwards. Until I took that Pepper-Up potion that is. Hopefully it won't all come back once the potion wears off."

Nadia was quite alerted by this. "Let me check," she told the second year as she moved closer and tried to find the spot where Laurasia had been hit, finding it at last. "We better send you to Virohsa, someone has to tend this --"

Nadia reached over for her sleeve and pulled Laurasia to reach the professor. "I don't think it was a poltergeist, but Merlin forbids if I find out it was Samea," she commented as they went. But it happened that the woman was talking to that Ministry guy. Curse it, what a bad time.

But immediate assistance from an adult had to be better than waiting. Bitting her lip, Nadia made up her mind. She let go of Laurasia but approached the professor. "Professor Virohsa, Laurasia is hurt," she urged her, as an unspoken asking for help.

Cecil nodded to Virohsa. "Oh yes please. I would love for you to explain your greenhouse to me. Indeed, I find the idea of students willingly doing extra curricular work rather exciting."

Patrick grab on of the broom and began to help the Slytherins. With the Ministry guy in the Greenhouse he thought it better to look busy and show unity. As he worked he try to strike up a conversation with the Slytherins. "I understand that Slytherin and Ravenclaw are playing the first quidditch of the year. I am hoping for a good tight match. How do you think you guys will do?" He asked as he swept.

Professor Virohsa nodded. "Of course.. well, here. I shall direct you towards the different temperatures we have in the Greenhouse. We have quite the interesting breeds.. or perhaps, you will be more willing to observe the children at work?", she inquired.

Nadia had spoken at the same time Patrick (or was it Cecil?) had and her talk had been muffled enough so now neither the Ministry official nor the professor had noticed the second year with the cut over her head. Good way to make a good impression. Must be the nerves, Nadia concluded.

"Alright, I guess we will have to go to the Hospital Wing ourselves, you can walk, right?" Nadia asked. She tried to support the girl's weight in one arm while in the back of her mind, she wanted to stay and talk about quidditch! She kicked herself mentally. "Alright, here we go-- Oh, yeah, Ravenclaw is one of the hardest teams... Um, I better talk when I come back later."

Bah, way to sound dumb.

She shook her head. "We walk or do you want me to levitate you to the hospital wing, Laurasia?"

Rosa looked around, not knowing what to do. professor virosha was too busy with that ministry official to come and help her with the thermostat, and Patrick'd gone to help the slytherins... She did hear what Virosha was saying in the front of the greenhouse. Come to see the temperatures... that would be great if the sections weren't the right temperature! And of course, it'd leave a great impression on that ministry official if the thermostats weren't working. Some of the plants were already looking a bit dried-out already... Well, there goes nothing... Rosa thought, as she withdrew her wand. She'd read about it in her charms book... it should work... she concentrated hard and touched the temperature swith of the thermostat while muttering 'reparo' then she put her wand away, put the thermostate on a colder level, she'd switch it back if the temperature was below zero again, and continued cleaning up the mess the earthquacke'd made, determined to have the cold section look clean and feel cold again before the ministry official'd be there.

Laurasia noticed how much Nadia had wanted to talk about quidditch, she knew that the girl loved the sport. She looked at Nadia with a small smile. "Oh that's okay Nadia. I can walk on my own. Merlin knows that I know my way there," she said with a slight laugh. "You stay here & continue working with the others. I just ask that if Professor Virohsa asks where I am, please let her know what happened. Hopefully, I'll be back shortly."

She turned & headed towards the main door of the Greenhouse. Spotting the professor's main work-table, she decided to leave her a note just in case she noticed her absense & mistook as Laurasia ditching. She used a piece of parchment & quill from the tabletop & left her note there...

She held the handkerchief against the back of her head & headed for the Hospital Wing.

Nadia's eyes widdened. "Of course not!" How ridiculous it sounded that Nadia would put second Laurasia's health to her... Quidditch nerve taking over.

She shook her head, unbelieving on herself to just be giving that impression and managing not to blush over all. "No way, somebody has to escort you there. I'll do it. Seriously, you can't go around the school with a cut over your head like that!"

Though she did leave the girl to get off her, Nadia still would lead the way and nodded at a general direction as notice of her depart before following behind Laurasia.

Cecil nodded. "Yes professor, I am much more interested in how and what the students are learning than the specifics of the greenhouse."

Laurasia re-entered the Greenhouse with her head no longer bleeding. It seemed that Healer Brunel may be useful for some things after all. She glanced behind herself to be sure that Nadia was still coming down the hallway. "I wonder if they were able to get the Greenhouse cleaned up before Professor Virohsa took Mr. Townsend around," she called back to the older Slytherin.

She looked around the Greenhouse & things seemed to be back in order for the most part, just the usual goings-on. "We'd better get back to work though. I'm sure that he didn't come all of the way down here to watch us socialize. By the way, thanks once again for taking me down to the Hospital Wing Nadia."

She looked around once more & noticed Rosa trying to get the cold areas cleaned up straightened up again. "I'm going to head into the cold area & help Rosa out," she said to Nadia before grabbing her cold-weather gear out of her bag & suiting up. Once she was sufficiently bundled up she headed over to the chillier areas of the Greenhouse. "Hey Rosa, you mind if I help you out a bit? With everything that happened it seems like you've got quite the workload in here."

She quickly grabbed a shovel & started moving the snow off of the aisleways. There were some small patches of ice that were being rather stubborn against the edge of the shovel. Frowning slightly she pulled out her wand & touched the tip of it to the ice. "Relashio." Immediately the ice melted into a bit of water. She quickly scooped it to the side before it froze again.

Rachel listened intently to the teacher while looking around to see any1 she might know. She saw Alex and waved at her smiling and started to do her work.

Professor Virohsa nodded. "Very well", she said as she started to walk. "Most of the work that is required is posted in the front", she pointed towards the door and the two long lists. "There is also a legend to the Greenhouse, to help students be prepared for the weather changes", she explained. "Which one would you like to see? Or would you like to see all of them?", she inquired.

"Ah yes. Very organized indeed!" He seemed to be looking around for his clipboard, only to notice he had left it back in Hogsmeade. "Well, why don't you show me the wet weather section." He said as he walked, smiling at the various students. "Is it perfectly safe to have biting plants in here Professor? I mean, it isn't a danger to the students is it?"

Laurasia sighed & rubbed her hat against her forehead in an effort to scratch it. She was finally finished helping Rosa to clean up the cold-weather areas & her forehead was rather itchy from the sweat trapped between her brow & her hat band. She smiled & looked over at Rosa. "Well, it looks pretty good in here now. I'm going to head back out & see what else might need to be done. If you need anything, or would like me to help you with something else, just give me a shout." With that being said, she turned & headed to the main greenhouse area while slowly peeling off layers of outerwear.

She reached her bag & folded her outerwear neatly. Not wanting to put them away dirty, she pulled out her wand & Scourgified them first. She looked around the greenhouse for whatever else may need to be done. The floors were still clean since there hadn't been anymore accidents. She looked inbetween the various rows to be sure that there were no water puddles for anyone to slip in. She was walking past Professor Virohsa & Mr. Townsend when she heard the questioned that he had addressed to her. "So, he wants to know if we can handle the biting plants, eh?" she thought to herself.

She quickly began to gather the dirty pitchers, depositing them at one of the large sinks, from the various areas of the greenhouse. She made sure that Mr. Townsend was able to see when she entered the area that housed the biting plants. Before entering she pulled out her wand & cast Immobulus on the entire lot of biting plants before gathering the pitchers from that area. She made sure to address the professor as she passed with the sirty pitchers, just to make sure that he had noticed. "Good day Professor, Mr. Townsend," she chimed with a smile.

After leaving those pitchers at the sink, she pulled out her wand once more & cast Finite Incantatum at the biting plants & they began to move about once more. Without saying a word, she turned her attention back to the dirty pitchers & began scrubbing them with hot water. She smiled to herself with the knowledge that Mr. Townsend was sure to have seen just how competent & well-taught Professor Virohsa's students were.

Professor Virohsa nodded as they started to walk. "Oh. Students, you are all excused. Prepare for your finals!", she stated. "I will post your earned points in a while", she explained. After saying so, she continued walking with the Ministry Official.

"Oh it is perfectly safe. After all, they only require a simple stunning spell and the feed is levitated towards them", she added.

Laurasia turned when she heard Professor Virohsa's announcement. "Oh great, there are so many pitchers here." she thought desperately. "Well they can't be Scourgified kiddo, or chemical residue may get left behind," she spoke to herself jokingly.

She began to scrub them faster. She made sure, however, that they were all perfectly clean as she dried them off. After about 20 minutes she was finally finished with the last of them. She wiped her brow with the back of her hand & pulled out her wand. She cast the Afficio spell & the pitchers immediately flew over to the shelves that they were usually stored on in a neat fashion.

She was just about to wish the professor & inspector a good day when she realized that they were walking away in discussion. Sighing, she grabbed her bag & exited the greenhouse heading for the Slytherin dungeons.
