Welcome to the Greenhouse for Out of Class Work; otherwise known as the Greenhouse #17.

From here, the big Greenhouse has doors connecting to the smaller Greenhouses and to a yard outside. By the front, you can also see the Poison Cell as well as the closets. If you forgot something, perhaps you should take a look inside!

While you work here, make sure to look at the aisles numbers carefully, otherwise you may find yourself in the man-eating plants section or in the severe weather section! If it helps, perhaps you can ask for a map.. (but there is none at this time).

So, come in and hang out before classes start once more! Are you tending plants? Are you tending to the Greenhouse?

Make sure you follow directions carefully!

By the entrance, there was a small room protected by a door. That small room was known as the "Poison Cell".

The greenhouse door of number seventeen creaked open as a red headed third year stepped into the warm atmosphere. Lee intended to work here to get more involved in the school itself, to show the inspector plenty of useful opportunites were available.

Lee looked down the many aisles that he may be attending to. He noticed snapping plants in one aisle, and acid spitting plants in another. "Now, this looks like the aisle for me," Lee said coming across a beautifully laid out aisle filled with blossomed plants of varying colours. He sniffed at the scent of the flower to be revealed with a humungous stench of sick.

"Eww, i take that back," Lee said recovering his nose with thewelcome smell of fresh air at an open window. Clueless where the equipment needed was, he called out to see if the Professor was around "Professor Virohsa!? Professor Virohsa!?"

Laurasia entered the greenhouse & heard a familar voice from somewhere nearby. "Hello?" she walked a little ways down an aisle that housed plants that were snapping out in her direction. "Immobulus!"she cast at the row of plants & they immediately stopped with their snapping, someof them in midair.

She rounded the corner & noticed a very familar Hufflepuff student who also seemed to be looking for Professor Virohsa. "Well hello Lee. It's good to see you again. I take it that you're looking for Professor Virohsa as well. Perhaps she has left a note somewhere around here with instructions for us." She began to look around on various tabletops with no luck. She turned back to Lee & shrugged. "Perhaps we are supposed to simply wait for her to arrive."

Professor Virohsa was tending to Mandragoras when she heard a student calling her name. Placing the pitcher down, she straightended her emerald robes and started to walk towards the sounds. It appeared some students had arrived early.

"Welcome", she said in a sharp voice as she came into view. "Ah, two plant caretakers have arrived. I assume you are wondering what your duties will be?", she said in a tone that hinted towards a question. Nevertheless, because she continued to walk towards a blackboard near the entrance, you could guess she expected no answer.

"I think I can give you a few things to do while the others arrive". She took out a roll of parchment from her robes and extended it. The long list hit the floor as the roll was extending itself. Professor Virohsa seemed concentrated on the list, as if she was determining which tasks were safe enough for students to do.

Since this is taking a while, you get the impression you are free to continue talking among each other.

Laurasia turned when she heard Professor Virohsa's voice approaching. " I guess we won't have to wait long," she said to Lee with a slight giggle in her voice.

She followed the professor over to the blackboard, looking at all of the various plants along the way. Some she recognized, such as the Mandragoras; others she had never seen before, including some rather beautifully bloomed plants with a warning sign above them. They seemed docile enough, but given the sign Laurasia knew better.

When Professor Virohsa's scroll hit the floor Laurasia looked back at Lee & mouthed the word "wow". "Hopefully the others will arrive soon, that's a pretty long list. At least we won't be bored, right?" She said to Lee with a smile.

Lee's eyes staring at the massive length of the prachment answered Laurasia "Yeh, i think this list might take us a whole two terms to eventually complete."

Lee wiped his forehead as sweat began to drip from him because of the warm atmosphere around them. He looked out the greenhouse window trying to see anymore workers.

"So why did you sign up?," he asked Laurasia, this time actually looking at her.

Martha enters the Greenhouse and walks up to Professor Virohsa. "Good afternoon, Professor. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Seeing Lee wipe the perspiration from his brow brought Laurasia's own sweaty brow to her attention. She wiped it with the back of her hand absently. "Why did I sign up? Well, because of all the fun that I had working in here last year. I also love working with plants. And you?"

Just then Laurasia noticed another student enter the greenhouse. She turned & smiled. "Hello. I don't believe we've met. I'm Laurasia Malfoy, second year Slytherin." She turned towards Lee. "And this is Lee..." She blushed slightly. "I'm sorry Lee, I can't remember your last name or year." She giggled nervously & the turned back to the new student & smiled.

"Anyway, Lee is a Hufflepuff. And your name is?"

Sarah walkes in and sees the Professor looking at a rool of parchment that touches the floor

"Something new to try out i suppose," Lee answered the gilr rather plainly "I help out at the magical creatures hospital also," he added giving himself more pride.He watched as other students began to arrive, thankfully.

He listened as Laurasia introduced him, finishing off her unfinished sentence he said, "I'm Lee Andrez and i'm a third year," he said smiling at Laurasia for her wonderful attempt of trying to fully announce him.

Laurasia smiled as Lee introduced himself properly. "I work down at the Magical creature Hospital as well!" she said with excitment. "Perhaps we'll run into each other down there as well."

Laurasia spotted yet another new student enter the greenhouse. "Hello. We're all over here, Professor Virohsa is just deciding who is going to do what." She extended her hand to the new student. "I'm Laurasia Malfoy, second year Slytherin."

Nadia walked into the Greenhouse number 17 and looked around. A small crowd was already gathered, though, if she heard correctly, this was not even the start. Silently making her way inside, bringing with her only a smaller bag but with things she might need; from dragon-hide gloves to winter items in case they were to be working in a rather cold place.

Nadia came from behind Laurasia and said, "Andres. And his year is third, am I right?" She regarded the professor who was reading a list as they talked, then looked back at the young students. "Morning everyone."

Laurasia smiled widely when she heard Nadia's voice. "Nadia! Oh yes, Lee has already introduced himself properly. I flubbed it when I tried. It's so good to see you here. I was hoping that you would be working with us again this term."

"Well i am incredibly privledged for someone such as yourself Nadia to remember simple facts of mine, " he said smiling. "I appear to have forgotten your last name but i think your a seventh year this year?" he said quizing a guess.

Nadia had pretty much spoken at the same as Lee so guess she was pretty much the surplus. She spared the professor another glance, then back at the youngsters. "You have?" Nadia smiled. "That is very nice of you. I'm not in the least surprised to see you here, on the other hand."

That as an attempt to sound as pleasant, btw. "Liked the first Herbology class?"

When turning to Lee, however, she coudn't help a weird face and blinked. The way he was speaking... not even with Borr she had seen him talk to like that. "It's no big deal," she assured him. "You are, um, welcomed. My last name is Chanta-- well, only Rey should do."

Lee smiled "Okay then". Lee noticed something strange about Nadia's face when she was talking to him, as if his nose was bleeding and he hadn't realised or something. Determined to find out he asked, "Is something wrong Nadia?"

Laurasia smiled at Nadia. "Yeah well, you know me & herbology. The first class? Yeah, it was pretty interesting. Though I can't wait until we get back into the hands-on stuff."

Nadia reached for her head, in a nervous pensive manner. It's like Borr had done a lobotomy on Lee. Well but what now? She couldn't exactly said 'I did not know you used the that tense structure (or the word privileged)' without sounding completly rude.

"No, nothing," she said, shaking her head, "Just that you appear different to me from the last time I saw you." She turned to Laurasia, "Relaxing thing, to have your hands busy with something, isn't it? How did your extra tutoring went? I never got to ask."

Alex walked into the Greenhouse and remained in the door way for a second. She scanned the room carefully, and finally rested her eyes on Nadia who seemed to be socializing with the third year Hufflepuff, Lee, and a few other people that she didn't know. At first, she hesitated to walk over to Nadia since she seemed to be surrounded by a group of people. Truth was, Alex usually kept to herself and refused to interact with new people. She would rather keep old friends than make new ones.

After a few minutes thinking, she finally decided to walk over to Nadia. She gave her a small nod and then turned her gaze on the rest of the group and nodded again, wordlessly. With that, she placed her bag under one of the tables, but not before she took out a pair of gloves. At the same time, she was still scanning the room, and slowly started rocking back and forth on her feet.

Laurasia laughed a bit at Nadia's question. She had forgotten to fill her in on her extra tutoring from last term. "Well between Professor Virohsa, all of my extra studying, & my mothers' help over break I was able to learn 9 new potions & 10 new spells. So yeah, the extra tutoring has been great." She smiled, not being able to help but feeling proud of herself.

She noticed another Slytherin student come into the greenhouse & realized that it was one that she did not know. She also noticed how...nervous the girl seemed to be with others that she didn't know. Laurasia cleared her throat & extended her hand towards her. "Hello, Laurasia Malfoy - second year. You're...Alex right? At least I'm pretty sure that's what I recall people referring to you as, I could be wrong though."

Sarah entered the Greenhouse quickly and checked her watch when she saw a group of students already there. Deciding not to worry about it she placed her bag under a table and stood on the edges of the group scanning the room and the people in it, she recognised some and smiled at them silently, nodding her head slightly.

Adz walks in, and sighs. She wasn't very good at herbology - but wanted to do well, which is why she had come down here. But now, she was here, she hadn't a clue what to do.
"Excuse me" she asked a hufflpuff girl "But what are we meant to do here? Are there certain instructions, or do we just look around and work with various plants of our choice?"

"We're just waiting for Professor Virohsa to tell us what to do." Sarah answered smiling at the Slytherin girl, "I'm Sarah and you are?"

"Adz, " she answered thankfully. "first year"

Laurasia noticed two more students come in. "My there certainly are going to be quite a few of us working in here this term. Maybe will get that list taken care of afterall,"she thought to herself, before waving to the newcomers.

"Hi you guys. Professor Virohsa is just looking over that massive list for what she wants all of us to do, then we can all get to work. By the way, I don't believe that we've met. I'm Laurasia Malfoy, second year Slytherin."
