It was a complete disaster. So we need tobe more vigilant this time to prove others that we're capable of doing great things" he said, felt Patriotic.

| Coralee snuck into the room. First day, and she was late. Oh well, wasn't her fault was it? No, it was that damn muggles fault. No point crying over spilt milk.
Narrowing her pale blue eyes, she swiftly made her way over to a chair, pulling it out, and sitting gracefully into it. Pulling a few stray long strands of her chocolate brown hair and placed them behind her ear. She looked up at the board, which apparently already had notes on it. Oops.

"I agree" Chris said "If we are to do good at this QWC it will require many of our officers to make sure that the event goes smoothly. It is good to see that the ministry is doing its best to hire the best employees possible." Chris wondered how many more officers would be needed for this event. He took a big swig of his tea as he thought about this. |

Brian looked at the clock. 3.45 pm, almost the end of the day. Brian watched a new face slipped into the room. "Hard day, Ms. Redford?" he asked, his face was not giving out any emotions.
Back to the subject. "Exactly Chris. We, morethan 500 Ministry emplyees going to work together round the clock morethan month. There's lot to do. And we have enough officers in hand, efficent and talented." Brian took two steps back and forth as he spoke, rolling his wand between his fingers. "So now shall we start with check points?" he paused, stood behind his chair.
"Numble believed that there should be 10 or more Security check points around, outside the stadium. What do you think guys?" he gave a space to them to talk.

| Sanctuary Abnormal | HuffRavSlythDor | Guard Badger ♥ | Stargater | Awaiting Culling As Olivia took her seat in one of the empty chairs, Brian began asking them for their input. And quite honestly she didn't have a thought at that moment, or a question, which wasn't the best of starts for her.And when a list of the security needs was posted on the screen her mind went blanker still.Luckily one of the security team piped up with his opinion, and Olivia sat, hands folded in her lap, listening intently.Yes it was true that last time Britain had hosted the cup it wasn't the occassion it could have been, that's why she was happy to be taking part this time, doing her little bit to help.
As her thoughts drifted to what the maintenance team could possibly do, Olivia's attention was bought back by the mention of the check points.Oh Numble was sorting that...10 he thought? Biting her lip, she raised a hand. "Uhh, I know this isn't my area of expertise being in maintenance, but would 10 be enough? The stadium holds some 350,000 people at one time, I believe, and I assume it will be filled for all the matches......" She drifted off the end of the sentence not entirely sure that anyone would be thankful she'd spoken.

Sawyer leaned back into the cushion of the chair and listened as Brian easily led the discussion of the QWC. His eyes momentarily shifted to the thin wand being rolled between the fingers of his boss's hand, before he quickly returned his gaze to Brian and the other staff members at the table.
They introduced the matter of checkpoints, Brian asking them all for an estimate of how many there should be, and Sawyer traced the his forefinger around his lips as he thought about it. Ten didn't seem to be enough. Not for an event like the World Cup, where people were bound to act completely insane, and it wasn't long before an attractive young woman with red-brown hair expressed her thoughts on the matter. More checkpoints, was her response as well.
"I agree," Sawyer added with a slow nod. "Ten, at the least. Merlin knows what sorts of things happen at events with such massive amounts of people." He didn't even like thinking of all the destruction that can occur when one singular task goes wrong. "Would we have enough security personnel to maintain more than ten checkpoints?"

The room was filled with assorted smell. Cookies, tea, perfumes, room spray and above all coffee smell. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee smell had filled his nose. Oh..boy. Why I'm so addicted to this coffee?! Thank God, Becca was not here to freak out.
Brian listened both Olivia and Sawyer's doubts and questions. "It's now reduced to 100,000 Olivia. But still we need more check points like you two feel. " he leaned down and rested his elbows on the chair, still standing behind it. "Yes we have Sawyer. And moreover we're going to work together with some of the Transportation people and in the later part with Law Enforcement too" It was in the initial stage, still a long way to go to fix everything in right place.
"So, when we're talking abt the check points, i must have to say about number of portkeys we're going to use. Approx. two hundred only around Britain. Not including the overseas" he informed them an another important thing. The Ministry was going to work like crazy for sure.

Sitting listening to the others pip their ideas in, Callie sat in mind deliberation ; of course it was usual for her. But the fact, she hadnt put any ideas forward was unlike her. She was still putting it down to nerves. Sweeping her hair behind her ears she nodded at the portkey comment. "So, if theres two-hundred around Britain, we need to get working on numbers for other countries, depending on the sizes of them and the number of people expected to come from there."
She spoke at a pace, not much quicker than usual, but one that made her sound a bit smarter... somehow.

"Actually, yes," Coralee retorted quite bluntly, narrowing her icy blue eyes. Coralee appologised to know when, ever, so if Brian thought he was going to get one, he was sorely mistaken.
Listening into the security statistics for the Quidditch cup, she placed her hands in her lap. Right, portkeys and other stuff. AHHHH. Being new was not helping. But, she would not look helpless. So she would pretend to know what they were talking about. I mean, come on, it was her first shift, and it's not like she'd been given a debriefing or anything. And she was not making up excuses for herself! It was just fact.
Two hundred check points around Britian? "Right, so what about overseas? Are we calculating for each counrtry?" Coralee asked, delicately raising an eyebrow.

Taking everyone's question, almost similar, Brian moved away from his chair and walking around the table as he started explaining, "Yes. We're going to take it by continents first and then countries, depends on their size and its population of wizarding community." he stopped at the corner of the table, rested his left hand firmly on the table.
"So considering the man-power, that we need a lot and working on it, we also expecting skillful and hightly talented people to work with. Patience is very important too to handle every visitor with enough respect." the cool head looking at his staffs face for few seconds before added, "Besides portkeys, there's another way of transportation we need to take care of. Brooms" he paused, giving them a space to register everything.

Are you trying to regulate who can fly or not?" Chris wondered how this would work. |

"We have to keep the place clean with proper, unjinxed brooms. And yes, regulating the fliers over the pitch also an important point.." he agreed with him.

| Portkey's, brooms, yes enough of transportation. Coralee wanted better. The fun stuff. Well, to her anyway. Snicker. "What about misuse of magic, etc? What are we doing about the offenders?" She asked, beginning to be slightly intrigued by her own question. Lock them up by their ankles? In a tiny room? Oh the joy. "I'm not just going to let them go," she said, with a pout.

Just so we have an idea of what we have to be thinking of, like when to get everything sorted, where to separate all of the portkeys and stuff. And then get things prepared, so people attending, know where their nearest ones are. Makes it easier for them and us. I think." Callie stopped, and looked around at the others, talkative they were. But she wanted to be precise in her head about what she was going on about. "That made sense didnt it?" Just so she didnt end up moving on, and noone knew what she had previously said.

He moved away from Chris and standing behind the empty chair as he spoke. "If any one misuse the magic, deliberately and violently, just cease their wand." his voice was calm yet strict. No loopeholes this time. Never. "But leave the harmone ragging teenagers if they misusing the magic for fun. You know the drill. Dont you guys?" he asked, grinning, still his fingers playing with his stud for no reason.
"Coming to numbers...yes..the work is going on and it's a responsibility of another department. So...we need to concentrate on these things basically. Providing security everywhere in and out of the ground, around the campground and escorting ministers and teams." he came back to halt in front of the board again, wand in his hands safely. "Guys, I ask you all to practice the essential spells and if possible create something new. I heard some of them are in a research to invent an Invisible Spray and fire-proof tents.." he smiled, looking around at his staffs hopefully, "And..keep your wands in fine tune, if not just take a permission from work and visit Olivanders," he said jovially.
"Any questions relating to these topics?" he asked as leaned against the board.

Okay, so that wasn't their problem, but having the point defined and certified in her head ; made it totally and interestingly definate and brain smart. Looking at the others, to see if anyone wanted to speak first before she did, she noticed nothing and went on. "Practice essential spells? Sure. Thats wasy enough, but should we gather a brainstorm or a list of some sort of the essential spells that maybe need certainly working on for definate, mainly for those who havent made it today. Just so they can see, instead of people having to rally a whole list of spells off to them." The point had only been made, because she would write down a list of them anyway. It was simple, daily checks in her apartment ; that was a dream. "Er.. I think that maybe we need to renember too that the arrival spots, the stadium and everything will have to be clean, not littered, not scruffy really. We want to make a good impression right? Not give the other countries something to complain about, makes the other departments jobs easier instead of dealing with complaints about the state of the place, because fields and things tend to pick up litter. Teenagers around and things."
She was a rambler, it was simple. But the good impression talk, had only been because she was attempting to make a good impression, first day and everything.

Need to practice essential spells.

"Yes, there do seem to be a few people missing.I could post a list on the notice board at some point for everyone?" she enquired, cocking her eyebrow in Brian's direction. It was a suggestion but if her boss didn't want it it wouldn't be done.
Ahhh this was more her department.Cleaning the stadium and surrounding area. "Yes absolutely Callie," she smiled at the new recruit. Her ramblings hadn't been dismissed as dumb, or labelled as stupid, which was extremely different to being in Australia, nice even. Very nice to be precise.
Smiling, a little bit wider at the obvious sortof compliment from Olivia, Callie nodded. "I guess, the fields and stuff surrounding the stadium would need more than one person. Considering their size, and it would save time, immense amounts of time." Three magic filled people comapred to one was a significant increase in help and usefullness.
Fiddling slightly with her hair, which was evidently going to fall out if she carried on, she plaved an elbow on the table, and used her thumb and finger to hold her forehead in place, while she began pondering over whether volunteering to be part of the field cleanup would be something she would be fine with, and if there would be anything else she could do. She was ofcourse waiting for something good to happen.

Sawyer scribbled away in his chicken-scratch penmanship, putting down the key points that he would most likely forget otherwise. Checkpoints, fireproof tents and invisible spray, spells. Being a new staff member, Sawyer felt a bit out of the loop, but he supposed the feeling was normal and would disappear soon enough. The burden of work that this World Cup would put on them all would surely keep him, and everyone else in the Ministry, busy.
He slowly sifted his fingers though his blond hair as his eyes scanned the notes he had just taken. He hoped he wouldn't have to know much about cleaning up the stadium, for he wasn't taking notes on that.. and he wasn't always the best at avoiding messiness.
Keeping his mouth shut for present, Sawyer glanced up from his parchment as he simply took in all that was being said.

After his bit of listening Max decided to put in his ideas. " What about the muggles. Their policemen, I mean the stadium maybe invisible. But with all the noise... We'll need muggle repelant charms on every inch of the grounds. Excuses For the Policemen who come snooping around." He thought about the diffrent precautions. "And the broom regulation also goes into that category. I mean a muggle sees one peron flying a broom they go see those brain doctors." What were they called the people who talked to crazy people? " But if muggles everywhere see people flying brooms country to country, its going to raise some suspition." |

Time for an Important announcement. Brian pulled himself away from the board and took a step forward. "Well..before moving onto further discussions, I'd like to announce and introduce our new Division Head of Maintenance." he paused with a grin in his face, " Ms. Olivia Hawthorne!" taking a quick glance at her, he continued, "Let's give her a round of applause" he clapped his hands after shoved the wand into his trouser pocket. She was a rambler, it was simple. But the good impression talk, had only been because she was attempting to make a good impression, first day and everything. Callie seemed so much involved in this quickly. Good thing. Brian's face brightened up more as he noticed their staffs enthusiasm and the willingness to do something different. "Sure Callie. Make a list and put it on the board here, as you said it will be useful to others." he agreed and allowed her to carry on the idea.
"And for maintenance, I'll tell give the informations after finishing this Security issues first." he explained and moved to Olivia's questions. Quote:

Looking up at Brian as he walked and spoke, she smiled at her boss and continued scribbling away.
Need to practice essential spells.
Right, fair enough that could be done on their own time and wouldn't take too much effort.Glancing over at Callie,Olivia nodded her agreement at the list making idea.
"We certainly want the visitors to have a good first impression, and that is what we in Maintenance are mainly here for," well that and fixing stuff the rest of the Ministry broke. "We shall have to discuss it and set out a list of who does what areas, unless anyone wants to volunteer for a particular part?" She smiled and looked around at the maintenance workers present...her new charges.Oh boy. His new division head. Sincere and efficient staff. He smiled at her warmly as he spoke, "Well..the spray, can be use for anything if you want to make invisible, from tent to yourself" he said in a jovial tone, "And as we all know cloaks are expensive and demand in market.."he added an extra informations, hands went back to trouser pockets as usual.
"I'm coming to your questions, Olivia, a bit later.." he said and started walking around the table again, listening everyone's reactions. Quote:

The burden of work that this World Cup would put on them all would surely keep him, and everyone else in the Ministry, busy.
He slowly sifted his fingers though his blond hair as his eyes scanned the notes he had just taken. He hoped he wouldn't have to know much about cleaning up the stadium, for he wasn't taking notes on that.. and he wasn't always the best at avoiding messiness.
Keeping his mouth shut for present, Sawyer glanced up from his parchment as he simply took in all that was being said. As he slowly yet watchfully moved back to Sawyer, he said nothing but watching him scribbling on the paper. Seemed lost in what? Own thoughts or new atmosphere?! "Are you a flyer Sawyer?Played Quidditch in school days?" he asked gently from behind his chair, to make him get involve into the discussions. Quote:

Mainly they're desinged to reach our security check points around the area. No doubt in it..so..no extra work" he re-assured him. It was already a heavy and mind-wrecking job so no more extra-burden due to lack of planning. He was not going to allow it. Quote:

"And the broom regulation also goes into that category. I mean a muggle sees one peron flying a broom they go see those brain doctors." What were they called the people who talked to crazy people? " But if muggles everywhere see people flying brooms country to country, its going to raise some suspition." Finally he heard something from Max who seemed deeply thinking and working on something in his mind. Brian nodded, "You're absolutely right Max. Our oblivators are getting ready to do the work and the Muggle worthy Committee is in charge of setting Muggle repelent charm over the area. So our hands are free for that matter." He was happy that every department had been piped up and working like bees to host this event successfully.
He cleared his throat mildly before started the next topic. His wand scribbled down...on the board in his neat and ligible handwriting. Quote: Maintenance Department
1. Practice cleaning charms
2. Invent or develop Mass effect charm
3. Help the security people if need He turned to them, grinned. "So now, we're moving onto the Maintenance topic properly" he didnt move away from where he was, but accepting everyone's suggesstions about maintaining the place clean and litter free.
"I'd appreciate your eagerness over cleanliness. Really.." he gave them a satisfied smile, "And..everyone will be assigned to some area. You all will recieve the information about your alloted place around the ground and campground." Brainstroming is fun!!

Sawyer dropped his quill to the table and brought his hands together to clap as Mr. Lee introduced Olivia Hawthorne as the new Division Head of Maintenance. He smiled, enjoying the positive atmosphere. So far, at least, everyone seemed very agreeable. It was apparent that everyone liked and respected Brian, and judging by the volume of the applause, Miss Hawthorne didn't appear to be some power-hungry troll either.
He was somewhat taken aback when he heard his name said from behind him. He turned to look at his boss. "Yes, sir." The corners of his mouth tugged slightly into a small smile. "Anything that involves flying." He slid his hands into his pockets. "So, if we need more brooms, I can look into our best options for purchasing or renting them," he offered.
