Antigone straightened out her robes and smoothed down her crazy hair before entering the office. With a smile in her face she announced, "Hello, everyone! I am Antigone McArdle, your new Deptartment Head. I am just making my rounds, checking things out." SHe began to walk around the office having a peek at things, waiting to see if anyone had any questions or comments.

As Chloe heard Antigone's voice, she smiled a little to herself. Antigone was just what this department needed. She straightened the few things that were out of place on her desk, simply waiting for the department head to come around. The activity around the department had come to a screeching halt in the past few weeks, and there hadn't been anything at all for Chloe to do. Hopefully, her new boss had some good ideas up her sleeve.

Spotting Chloe, Antigone smiled and walked to her desk. "Hey there, Chloe. Keeping busy?" she teased. After looking at her desk Antigone smiled and said to the room at large, "Okay guys I have an idea! We need to start looking over the files of all of the staff members at Hogwarts. THat is after all what we do here, right. Look after Hogwarts' best interests. So I will need you all to grab a file from this box and get started going through a file a piece." She gave her wand a quick flick and the box appeared. She smiled and waited for them to come take a file.

Charlie looked up as he heard the new boss walk in. He listened as she introduced herself. He then listened as she explained her plan for their next assignment. He nodded his head and tried to think of which Professor to look up on. He walked over to the box and started to thumb through them. He pulled one out at random and saw the name 'Marcus Lawson' on it. "I'll take Professor Lawson." He always thought there was something strange about that man.

Chloe smiled up at the new boss and said politely, "Making my best attempt to." Then the boss was speaking to the department at large, and when the file box appeared, Chloe was the first to race over to the box and pick a file, not wanting to be the last one to get work again. She pulled out the file of Anastasia R. Bunbury, Professor of Herbology, and she walked back over to her desk and began to go through the file.

Antigone smiled as Charlie and Chloe came forward to take files from the box. She just couldn't help it... She clapped her hands together and bounced up and down a bit. Yay, employees, just... YAY!

"Great! Now I am expecting you all to write up a full report on this particular satff member. I want to know whether their teaching abilities are up to snuff, I guess you'd say. Dig up any and all indiscrepancies on these people. I want to know EVERYTHING about them! I have heard tell of some... odd things going on at that school and I would like to know more about the people teaching our young witches and wizards!" Antigone explained to the employees. She was going to get to the bottom of this craziness if it was the last thing that she did!

She then began to wander about the room again, weaving in and out of the desks, smiling at everyone that she passed. She had only formally met three people in the entire department and was eager to learn more about them all.

Charlie nodded his head as Antigone explained what they would have to do. He walked back over to his still somewhat messy desk and began to go through Lawson's file. He had skimmed the whole thing before he went through it thoroughly. He looked around for a quill and parchment so that he could take notes before writing a full report. He found one and started to get down to work.

Antigone nodded in satisfaction as Charlie immediately got to work. "Now, feel free to come by my office at any point in your investigation and speak with me about anything odd you find, or anything stellar. I want to know who is doing well at their jobs and who is not. And please pay special attention to the new hires, I want to know know more about them," she said as she made her way back to the front of the room to the file box.

Thinking she would have a visit and watch how they all work she hopped up on the desk next to the file box and began to swing her feet back and forth. "Come on guys, grab a file, no need to be shy," she prompted the other employees.

Shin decided to take a file himself and he took Gabriella Ashford file he took a peek at it as he slowly walked back to his desk. Once there he started to read over while taking a sip of his coffee. "Hmm" Shin took a quill and started to write down things.

Ethan walked into the office, his first day of work. He was simply happy to be working again. The last few months of travel was just more than he could stand, but the witches and wizards he met, well let's just say that some of them were now in his little black book of important peeps. As soon as he walked through the door, a rather head-strong lady introduced herself as being the new Department Head and...what was this? She wanted them to "snoop" around? Hmmm. A nasty evil grin appeared as his eyes looked towards the one who was requesting them to nosy about.

He moved his feet in the direction of the box she spoke about and pulled out a file, Maximus Vindictus, Professor over Flying and Quidditch. "Greetings everyone," Ethan speaks in his masculine voice as if he knows that his voice contains the soothing effects that whoo the women, not that he really cares about that in any way.

Antigone noted a new person come into the room... My, my , my... he was a tall drink of water... Okay, back to professional mode. She smiled as he came up and took a file from the box. She snuck a peek at it and nodded her head. Vindictus, he was a weird one, in her opinion.

Oh me oh my! That voice! *swoon*... No, no professional! She cleared her throat and said to the man, "You are my newest hire, correct? Ethan is it? Well welcome to the family. Feel free to come by my office and speak with me anytime you need or want to. I have an open door policy... Just knock first" She chuckled when she was done and gave them all a wink. Funny Antigone. Teehee!

Charlie looked around the office. Only a few people had actually gotten up and claimed a file so far. He saw a new guy walking in. He didn't say anything to anyone. He just decided to go back to his work. Lawson's file was quite interesting and he was learning a lot about one of his favorite professors.

Antigone wondered if maybe her presence was making people nervous... Hmmm... Hopping down from the desk she smiled and said, "Okay you all, I am going to head out and leave you all to it then. If you need a file come and get one at your own leisure. I have to stress that each of yo ushould only take one file though. We need to be sure EVERYONE gets a staff member to look into, okay. If any of you need me I will be in my office shortly." With a quick wave she turned on her heel and walked out of the office.

Charlie looked around the office again. He put his quill down and kept clenching and unclenching his hand. It was kind of sore because he was writing a lot on Professor Lawson. He looked around and saw Antigone go back into her office. He had never gotten to know his old boss on a personal level, so now he was going to take a chance in getting to know the new one. He got up and strolled through the cubicles to the office.

Ethan cut his eyes towards the lady who was claiming her stake in being Head of the Department, the lady with the vibrant blue eyes, not that he noticed or anything. He gave a nod of his head as she spoke the correct name for him as only his closest friends knew him as Cy from when he was younger, other than that, he was now known as Ethan for the simple fact that it distinguished the difference between himself and his father.

But as she spoke her office was always open, but knock first, wasn't that a double entendre, meaning the words she just spoke out loud meant two different things? He couldn't help but smile crookedly towards the lady and not being able to speak a word with her as she was like a bullet, a flash outside the door and to her office. OH he would follow that one...

....but someone had the urge before him. One must never look too obvious and one must never...ever...ever date the boss. That could lead to trouble and one of the reasons why he traveled for so long, so that he was not on someone's "list" anymore. So instead, he took out his quill, making notes of the staff member who's folder was in his hand.

Charlie left Antigone's office and headed towards his desk. Once he got there, he conjured up some boxes to put his things in. He started to pack his papers first, before he got to the other things on his desk. The papers alone took him a good ten minutes to put in the boxes and almost took up the whole thing. He decided that when he had some down time, he would go through all of these and get rid of the unnecessary things.

Then, he put his quills and closed ink wells into the box with the paper, filling it up. Finally, were his pictures. He didn't pause at all when he put the one of him and his cousin Fallon. He had only heard from her a little bit about Florida. He only paused when he got to the one of him and Briony. He smiled and put it into the box. He checked the desk once more to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything. Once he was sure he had everything he needed, he grabbed the two boxes and headed over to the Inspections Committee office.

Briony sat on top of her new desk in the Examination Authority office. It wasn't exactly new. Just had a name tag on top that read Briony Whitehall: Division Head. She grinned down at the tag and turned toward the employees walking around in their office space. She stood up and cleared her throat.

"Could I have everyone's attention please?" she asked loudly, trying to silence people. Luckily the noise died down more. She decided to continue. "I'm the new Division Head for this division," she grinned at the wording. "I look forward to this new advancement. A lot," she added. "I'm free to answer any questions you may have. My office is still right there," she pointed over at her desk.

"It seems you all have files to be working on for a Professor at Hogwarts. Let's continue with that while we're at it. Thanks." She walked back over to her desk and took a seat at the chair. She started to work on her own file.

"Sure , that sounds fun!" said Penelope. Shin was the first person in the department that had really acknowledged Penelope, "I was going to head maybe tomorrow evening ?" she said with a smile. "I got an owl this morning telling me my order was instock in Flourish and Blotts and I'd like to pick it up as soon as I can"

Chloe walked into the office after a wonderful lunch date with Asher, but found someone blocking the path to her desk. She didn't recognize the woman, but she stopped in her tracks to listen to her speech, eyes narrowed slightly. She wasn't sure about this woman and wondered what Antigone thought of her. Chloe would have applied for the position, but hadn't that that gumption was enough in a position that required so much experience. Once the woman who hadn't told them her name had finished talking, Chloe continued to her desk and sat down. She had finished her feel weeks ago and hadn't been given a new assignment. People needed to pick up the pace in this department. Maybe she would have a word with Antigone later to see if there were any professors who hadn't been investigated yet.

Briony saw a newer woman she didn't recognize walk into the office. She got up and walked over to her desk. "Are you a newer employee? Or am I just losing it?" she joked with a grin. "I'm Briony Whitehall," she introduced herself. She didn't really know some of these people. The woman hadn't been very social and now was.

Chloe looked up from her pristinely organized desk as the new Division Head approached her desk. She stood up and extended her hand to the woman. "I've been here for a few months now. My name's Chloe, Chloe Everhart. It's nice to meet you Ms. Whitehall," she said, plastering on that charming smile of hers. She was still reserving judgement on this woman. She didn't seem like the leadership type, but Chloe could be wrong.

Briony took her hand and shook it. "It's nice to meet you too Chole. I see you're a very neat person," she gestured toward her clean to perfection desk. "Please, don't feel like you have to stick with the formalities when addressing me," she told her. She just hated being called Whitehall. When was she going to be married? Hopefully soon. "This position is definitely fairly new. I've tackled being a Prefect and Head Girl so it could be fun," she mused to the woman. Her being the outcast back then didn't help. But she chose to hide in the shadows after her sister died.

"So where are you from Chole?" she asked her. Obviously some of these people traveled a ways to London just to work in this Ministry.

Chloe smiled as Briony motioned to her desk. "I just find that I'm more productive when I know where to find everything. And, unless it offends you, I will continue to use formalities. It's a sign of the respect that your position deserves," she said, giving Briony another smile. Chloe motioned to the other chair in her cubicle. Obviously, they were going to do the small talk thing. Chloe sat back down at her desk. "I just moved to London, actually. Thought I grew up just outside of it, so it's not too far from family and whatnot." Chloe wouldn't yet mention that her boyfriend, on the other hand, lived in Denmark, and she spent a lot of time at his home.

"I should take your tip of keeping my desk organized. My office at home looks worse," she shook her head. Then again she was still in the process of cleaning it. She had almost lived in it a year now. It was exciting. "If you wish," she shrugged. This is where she missed Jake even more. He had never minded the formalities. She had once been like Chloe. But learned otherwise. "I used to be another employee just like you. I guess that's why I feel so odd. Plus I kind of hate my last name," she said to her, taking seat in the chair.

"That's good. Being closer to the Ministry is always helpful," Briony nodded with a smile. This woman was going to have to loosen up or she was going to go crazy. This meeting was now going to feel like talking with Lucy for the first time. "Are you married?" was her next question.

"Well, if you would ever like an impartial third party to come in and help you organize, just let me know. As you can see, I move through my work pretty quickly and thus have quite a bit of free time on my hands," she said with a bit of a joking smile. She could already tell her personality was going to clash with Briony's, but that was okay because she got along swimmingly with Antigone. "Yes, being close to the ministry is nice. I like living in the city. Lots of things to do and see," and then she lowered her voice a little and continued, "and lots of places to shop." She gave Briony a wink and then just laughed slightly at her question about marriage. "No, I am... not quite ready for that, though. I have a boyfriend. Asher Holden? I don't know if you know him. He works in the Department of Mysteries. Used to be a Healer, though." Chloe was getting a bit uncomfortable talking so much about herself. "How about you? You said you hate your last name. Is that because you're anxious to get married?"
