Lucy walked in confidently with a few cups of coffee flying slightly above her hand, where she carried a few documents and few students files. One of them was Ryan's.
She walked over to her table without a word to put the documents and only then she headed torwards her co-workers.
"Anybody wants coffee?" she made the cups landed smoothly on the nearest-by table, allong side with sugar and creem. She looked at the woman in front of her and held out her hand for her.
"I don't think he have properly met yet, which is partially my fault. I'm Lucy Stedman." That's what you get for being a workaholic.. You also get anti-social. Hum.. Good thing she hadn't lost her communications skills. Yet.

"Oooh coffee - how did you know?" Jake laughed and summoned a cup, smirking cheerfully as it didn't even spill one tiny drop as it zoomed towards him. Adding the cream and sugar the same way, he winked to Lucy as he took his first sip.

He wasn't really in the mood to be depressed - not even Lucy would get him down now. "And I'm Jake Rid... Oh, you mean her?" he joked, holding out his hand and then pretending to be surprised as he 'realized' Lucy had meant Waters, and not him.

Oh, she knew him all right...

Lucy took a few seconds to regain her amazing professional composurebut she decided to take Jake's example. She smirked back, willing to at least try to send a good image of herself to the new worker...
"I always know, Mr. Rider. That's just me. Nobody can survive a day in an office without a few good cups of coffee. You should know that as well." she commented in a friednly way. It could seem impressive, giving the fact she and Jake Rider, her boss, kept on fighting over the most ridiculous work-wise things. As she now thought, it was ridiculous. They still had to work side by side.
Or not... Luce immediately cut off that line of thoughts. It wasn't something she wanted to think about.

She offered Jake a fake smile:
"I wouldn't have guessed that by the name on the door of the next office, Mr. Rider." Still, the environment between them wasn't tense at all, like in the past months. Luce decided she would only have one shot.
"Mr. Rider, enjoying the fact that you are here, I'd like to talk to you for some personal matters. I might have to take vacations soon. Or..." he knew what she meant, she was sure, but he'd be surprised if he knew the reasons. Lucy Stedman, tking responsabilities, not only for a child, but for two? Yeah, Jake, wouldn't believe her, not in a million years.

After a few seconds, Lucy added: "I am involved in legal issues that need my present attention."

Eyening the new worker, Lucy smiled, for real, this time:
"I'm sorry to have interrupted your previous conversations. Here. Sugar or cream?" she asked, extending her new colleague a cup of coffee.

" Oh thanks" said Danielle accepting the coffee," I'm Danielle Waters" she said smiling and shaking the womans hand " Both please" she added to her question she loved coffee cream." Oh , sorry" said Danielle blushing, realizing Jake was there in conference room and already knew every thing she stated.

"Nice to meet you, Danielle." she made the cream levitate and land on Dannielle's coffee. Ah, life with magic. How could she live without it?
Yes, the woman indeed seemed to be in a good mood. I should, shouldn't I? After all, it seems like I am getting married... again. She let out a very audible sigh. The marriage in a church was pretty much just... technical, since pretty much all the action would happen in the courthouse.
"I know that you are new in the department, Danielle, but I would like to ask you a favor." she didn't realize what she was doing until the words were out of her mouth. Once she re-thought them she concluded it wasn't actually a bad idea. She wasn't exactly going to ask Jake to be her.... witness while getting married. At that thought, Lucy just had to laugh. How ironic would it be?

Danielle smiled "Thanks, oh you can ask me anything" she said taking a sip of her tea happily." This is really good" she thouhgt, as she came back into focus and waited for her reply.

J.J. Starr stuck his head in the door. " Hi Danielle, how is one of my favorite two workers in the department doing? J.J. Starr asked her. " Just wanted to say Hi" Joe Jon Montcenaggio told her.

"Oh J.J you never run out of compliments do you" Danielle said smiling." I was just meeting my new co-worker Lucy" she said happily. Nodding her head towards Lucy " This is J.J he used to work here but he got transfered sadly...." she said honestly.

Lucy nodded at her newly met co-worker Danielle just before J.J. stuck his hea don the door. She bit her lower lip not to make any comment. Although she and the man in question didn't work side by side every single day - being in different divisions -, of couse she knew who he was. From all the workers still there, Jake and herself were the only ones that had stayed, from her original team. Yet, if she wasn't mistaken she would say J.J. was a good friend of Samantha Rose before she got back to England.
"Hey, J.J. How do you do? You're getting allong well in the new job?" she guessed so; the man knew a lot of people and he had great sociable habilities, very much the opposite of her. next she turned to a surprised Danielle... at least she thought Danielle was surprised:
"I work in the department for quite some time... About what.. two, three years? It was just before your arrival Jak..." she quickly covered up her mistake. "...Mr. Rider. We started working here in the same week, I think. And you were already working here with Samantha I got the job, weren't you?" she questioned J.J. not entirely sure about the facts. In fact, it was quite some time working there.
It seemed like Miss Freedom had finally settled down.

The compliment is well- deserved Danieele" J.J Starr told her. 'Actually, I remember Lucy but had not seen her in awhile" Joe Jon Montcenaggio said to Danielle." I chose to be transferred" he told Danielle. " I am working hard as ever as liason in the Magical Transportation and I love it" J.J. told her. How is everything going here?" Joe Jon Montcenaggio asked her.
" I am fine and how are you doing Lucy?" J. J. Starr asked her. " I am a good friend of Samantha Rose who is now the undersecretary to Miss Taylor." Joe Jon Montcenaggio told Lucy.I am doing fine in my new job" he told Lucy. " Yes, I think I beat you and Jake working here in a week or two" J.J. Starr told Lucy.
" Glad you are back at the education department" J.J. said to Lucy. " Any trouble in England or just a vacation/ holiday for you there ? he asked Lucy.

" Oh sorry" Danielle said blushing not knowing that they already knew each other. She kept quite as they continued their conversation.

"Do not be sorry Danielle " J.J. Starr told her. " You would not know Lucy and I knew each other" Joe Jon Montcenaggio said to her. " It is good, you introduce wveryone" he smiled at Danielle.

"I am great, thanks. J.J. Doing pretty much the usual stuff around here... and not getting the raise I deserve for a long time." she narrowed her eyes slightly in her boss' direction, also letting him know in the same gesture she was kidding. "Awww... The poor life of a Ministry worker, right, my dearest colleagues and ex-colleague?" Thankfully Jake was the only one there wo knew just how big her gringott's account was... It wasn't very small.

Lucy nodded, confirming J.J.'s words.
"I went to visit Samantha a while ago. She seems to really like her new position... I mean, her job in the Ministry always meant a great deal to her and I'm just glad she still loves the job." she commented affer J.J. made a reference to his friendship with Samantha. She smiled thinking about her former boss; Samantha was a truly good person who only wanted the best for everybody around her. Older and wiser, she had been a support for Luce. She still was.

She raised her eyebrows slightly:
"When? I do a little travelling on my free time, so.. I've recently been to Ireland and France, but before I start working here, I was living far away under another identity." she corrected him kindly, trying to figure out what his words meant.
"Sure, Danielle. From what I can tell, you have great comunications skills." Aww, new workers were just like firsties. Always fun to watch.

" Lucy and Danielle, thank you for your kind words" J.J. Starr told the ladies. " I better get back to my work now" joe Jon Montcenaggio told Danielle and Lucy. " Great to see you both and come around and visit me in my department. after all this crzinees" J.J. told the ladies

" Thanks " she said smiling to J.J and Lucy..."aww you really have to go..well I hope to see you soon" she said smiling as she said goodbye to J.J.

Lucy waved as J.J. Starr disappeared through the doors. He was someone easy to talk to, taking out of the equation the factor 'being a male'. After her lovely ex-husbands example, there were few men she trusted.
Which brought her back to Jake and Nick.
I need to see Jake's reaction. I need to know if he feels at least bothered about it. Becausde if he didn't... then she would know for sure he didn't love her. Sadly, it was life.
"About that favor, Danielle... The one I was asking you about.... Do you think you'd be free to.. make an appearance and be my witness in two months?" Lucy looked straight at her newly met co-workers, occasionally making eye-contactn with Jake. She had to see how he was going to react to her annoucement.

" Oh yeah I think I will be able to , yes definitley,... whats wrong?" she asked Lucy since she was avoiding eye contact.

Lucy allowed herself to smile and relax a bit. She took a deep breathe and looked at Danielle, yet not being able to mantain her eyes on her. It was Jake's presence. I love him so much that it hurts... she looked down at the floor and back at him. She didn't care if he knew. She was his since the moment they had first kiss and Luce had let him step into her world.
"I'm getting married." she finally announceded, looking straight at Jake.

Danielle realized this was akward for the two. She decided she would take a walk out and see how the other department are." Would you excuse me?" she said as she saw them nod, she took her coffee with her taking small sips as she walked outside.

"Hum... Sure. No problem." So, that was it? She had a little experience on getitng married, but still she was sure that wasn't the way a person should rect when you ask her to be a witness on her wedding.

So, they were alone, staring at each other. Lucy Hope and Jake Rider.

"Aren't you going to say something?" a clearly emotioned Lucy asked the man after a very acquard silence.

A paper airplane flies into the room and comes to a rest on your desk, unfolding and smoothing out to reveal...

Oliver walked into the Magical Education office, nervous about his new job. After walking in circles for 10 minutes he discovered his desk. He sat down, and shuffled through some papers trying to decide what he should do.

Briony walked through the door of the offices in the Department of Magical Education. Her first mission was underway. "Um, excuse me, can I have everyone's attention for a minute or two?" Heads turned and she took it that some people were listening. "I'm the new Liason to this Department. You might see me around. I'm Briony Whitehall," she said with a smile. "I'm here to announce that I have Quidditch World Cup tickets available for sale. They're 5 galleons a piece. Let me know if you would like some or Samantha, the Senior Secretary to the Minister." She took the ones she was carrying out and held them up. Hopefully she would be able to sell quite a few.

"Five galleons is it said Oliver. Seems like they have gone down in price since last year. I will take one if you have them available. Do you know who is playing in it?"
