Well, I'm Caitlin. This is my millionth fan fiction but I think it's got a great start.

The Flavor of the Week is a novel focused on Lily Evans’ final year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She’s thrown into a hazy mess of battling wars with her grades, responsibilities with being a Head Girl, and a blossoming romance that she’s not even sure she’s ready for. Finally, when she thinks she’s gotten things figured out, everything turns for the worst. Follow Lily through a rushing path of fear, happiness, anger, hate, frustration, and even love.

There were three things my mother had always told me as I was growing up: live a life full of laughter, love with all of my heart, and read non-stop. In fact, that was me. I wasn’t the type for love but I definitely had my laughs and I cherished reading.

I loved my life, but as I sat under an umbrella to shield myself from the bristling sun, I couldn’t help wondering if I wanted more. More what? I thought semi-consciously. Before I could ponder the case any farther, a girl pulled a seat up next to me. My train of thought evaporated as the stuck her pinkie finger in my ice cream.

“Hey,” I laughed, throwing a napkin at her. “Get your own.”

“Yeah, with what money?” she rolled her eyes and ate, despite my protests.

Deciding that I wasn’t that hungry anyway, I tried to continue to read (though my previous attempts were useless due to my wandering train of thought.) This time proved the same.

“What’re you reading?”

“Toadstool Tales, by Beatrix Bloxam.”

“Okay, let me rephrase that,” Marie sighed, tucking a long strand of her black hair behind her ear. “Why are you reading? It’s the last day of your vacation and your senior year is coming up. Do you know how many guys are here? Come on, live a little!”

“Uh!” I replied in disgust. “I live just fine, thanks.”

“Hey, Evans! EVANS!” a boy called from across the street. He jogged over, shaking his messy black hair around pointlessly. “What’s that you’ve got your nose buried in? It’s the last day before school starts and you’re already trying to read the whole booklist?”

“Thank you!” Marie grinned, happy that someone else was trying to make the same point clear.

“Shove off, Potter.” I replied, not taking my eyes away from the book.

“I will if you’ll go out with me.”

“Oh, yes, real romantic.” I snapped the novel shut. “You come over, not bothering to acknowledge the fact that I have a first name, insult my habits, and then ask me to date you when in fact, your girlfriend is with Sirius Black in the Three Broomsticks. How persuading.”

With that said, I rolled my eyes and stormed down the street, Marie reluctantly trailing at my heels.

“Wait, Lily, just wait!” Marie called, gasping for breath. “He was just-”

I wheeled around, fire burning in my eyes. “Don’t you dare stand up for him. You know just as well as I that he’s an arrogant little brat with too much money and not enough brains.”

“Maybe he’s changed. I think he really does like you. That’s what, the millionth time he’s asked you out?”

“Yes, and could he be any more insensitive with it?” I questioned, leading the way into The Leaky Cauldron. “What does he just expect me to do, just fall at his feet? Well I won’t; I’m not like every other girl, nor do I intend to be.”

After entering the room I was staying in, I barely let Marie in before I slammed the door.

Shouldn't you know what happens next?I mean, you're the writer!Um... to answer your question amberradcliffe, the colors that are on our screenname are for what house we're in.You can see that the.time.is.now's username is in yellow for Hufflepuff, and mine is in red for Gryffindor.But, the other colors are by using codes.PAMSOID!!!!!!!!!!!!Andways, may I call you by something else the.time.is.now?PAMSOID!!!!!!!!!

Haha yeah you can DEFINATLEY call me something other than my screenname... ALL of you can lol. I'm Caitlin. Call me Aurora[long story], Kay Kay[what my little bro & sis call me], or Caitlin... or whatever else you can think of. If you make up a nickname I'll go with it.

And why should I know what happens next? lol! Just because I'm the writier it doesn't mean that I don't get excited and nervous, too! lol. I have a general idea on what's going to happen... but sometimes I'll just be sitting there writing and a whole new idea, out of the blue, will just hit me, and even if I have NO IDEA on where I'm going with it, I write it down anyway... and I can never wait for the next post!

Yeah! lol. A bunch of my old readers on my 3rd finished FF [Changing Paths] took the Aurora part... and called me Madam Rora. It was greatttt. I loved that story, gosh!

Well the "Madam Rora" part isn't long, but the "Aurora" part is REALLY REALLY REALLY long. It, like, covers three years of my life. All right, so I'm going against the better side of me but I'm just wondering... Would you like one more post before I leave for bed?

I reached for my wand, trying not to catch his attention. The leaves were angrily tightening on my arm and creeping steadily towards the hem of my sleeve, searching eagerly for a piece of skin.

Finally, after what seemed like hours of a creeping sensation on my arm and Avery’s paranoid whispers, my hand clasped onto the thin rod of wood. Then, all of a sudden, a new problem faced me: jinx the plant or deal with Avery’s reaction to a spell, which would not be good. But, if I jinxed Avery instead of the plant, which was just an inch from my skin, I’d become hysterical, and how long would it be before someone found us?

I bit my lip then yelled “Stupefy!” at the leaves, which froze dangerously close to my arm.

Avery’s eyes bulged. “How DARE you try to jinx me! But you missed, oh yes, a filthy Mudblood can never do anything right, can they? That’s it, though, that’s the final straw! The terrorists are ever closer and the red and blue circles are swirling… I can’t deal with you any more; it’s final, be gone!”

And he pushed me over the side, his malevolent laughter following me.

An ELF? AN ELF? OMFG LOL! You are flippin' crazy!! Well, actually, James was the real Head Boy in their final year, but I just discovered that today in a interview with J.K. so I think I might put that in the story later on; I'm really not sure. Well I hope you're excited to see was happens next... I mean, after all... Lily is falling towards her death!
