"Come on in," said James, holding open the door for our many guests. "I'll lead you to the living room; Lily, will you put the coffee on?"

I nodded and entered the kitchen. After putting an enlargement charm on our Muggle machine, (we had eight people total- at last minute, James had asked Peter if he'd like to join us), I turned it on and listened to the conversation in the room next door.

"The job you chose is dangerous, though," said Remus to Alice, and she nodded.

"Well, so is yours."

"Actually," I called. "I think all of our upcoming jobs are dangerous. Even the ones in the Ministry; I mean... what if you get caught spying?"

"It's not so bad if you get caught," inputted Peter. "More so if you get caught by the wrong people."

The coffee was done. I put the pot on a tray along with eight cups, cream, and sugar.

"Mmm, thanks, Lily," Sirius said, pouring himself a glass. "I needed some caffeine."

"No problem," I grinned, then decided to change the subject. "So, Frank... have you and Alice picked any baby names yet?"

"Ahh, yes, baby names," Sirius laughed, setting his cup down. "These are things that need to be discussed."

"Well, we've pondered ideas," answered Frank. "But we've decided not to make out decision final until we know if it's a boy or a girl."

"So how many months along are you?"

"Two."

"Really? Me too! Oh, wow, Alice. We're going to have our babies around the same time!"

She smiled. "Wow... I don't know, you guys... it's just... it feels like we just left Hogwarts yesterday. Now some of us are married and we're all crime-fighting superheroes!"

"I wouldn't exactly call ourselves 'superheroes,'" Marie said, giggling a little. "That might be over-exaggerating a bit."

We were all grinning like idiots when a loud crack interrupted. Dumbledore appeared before us. "Ah, you're all here. I was just looking for James and Lily, but this is so much better... I've written out minor details to your jobs. Read it, memorize it, then burn it. We cannot be found." He handed out sheets of paper, wished us good night, and left.

"What's yours say?" asked Peter to Alice, whose eyes had grown big.

"I- we're not supposed to talk about it," she finished, and it was the truth. At the end of my paper was huge letters declaring that this was to all be kept a secret.

"Yeah," I replied, more to myself than anyone else. I shook my head to clear my thoughts then looked up. "Does yours say the same thing, Peter?"

"Nope. It just says that I'm to report to the Department of International Cooperation Monday morning at seven a.m."

"Oh. What about you, Remus?"

"I leave Monday morning, too."

Then a whole new thought hit me: I may be lucky to have friends during this hard time... but all of them wouldn't be close by. I sighed and then went to light the fireplace.
