About this role-play:
In this Role play Leelee Blaze and her brother Edward Blaze have just taken custody of their cousin Minerva Wheatborn after her family was killed in a plane crash while she was Hogwarts this past term. This thread will have family events as well as gatherings of Minerva's friends and Edward and Leelee's friends. They will grow as a family and become stronger together. Leelee is hoping to get a job at the ministry this year, Edward is a traveler, and Minerva is headed into her third year at Hogwarts.

First Scene:
It's been a few weeks since Minerva has moved in and the new family of three is trying to get adjusted to each other as well as to their new lives. Leelee decides to have a cookout and invite friends of Minerva's as well as Edward's and her own over.

She was interrupted by a knock at the door. Leelee would kill her just to open the door without them around, but she looked at Maxwell. "Wonder who that could be." She got up and went to the door. "Vinnie" she pretty much jumped into a hug with Justin's mom. "I'm so glad you guys decided to come and stay. I am not sure where Leelee or Edward are at the moment. Maxwell and I just got over here as well. You came on the perfect day. We are doing Christmas here today since I have a party to go to and I'm staying over with Maxwell's family most of break." She looked at Justin and smiled "Think Ari could come join the party later?"

Maxwell had to hold his curiosity. He wanted to know what had to do with Carina...she might not be alive but she's his family and her death was extremely tragic. "Tell me later." He whispered in her ear. "Nice to meet you Ms. Vinnie." He said extending his hand. "Yes, We all go to Hogwarts together." He said politely and then turned to Justin. "Hey, You need a hand with that trunk?" He asked. "If not maybe you could show me your room?" He whispered to Min, but not too quietly...

Minerva frowned a bit when he whispered about telling him later. She would tell him later, but she wasn't sure if she'd get the chance now that they were never going to be alone in the house. She then turned. "I can show you, Vinnie you are in the guest room first door on the left right at the top of the stairs, Justin you have the room in the basement. It's really nice, it's basically a house inside a house." That was her room all summer, but she was happy to give it to Justin and take a smaller room upstairs. She then turned to Maxwell, "Sure I guess I could as soon as their settled in."

Leelee came into the house and walked through the kitchen. She heard voices and pulled her wand. Walking quietly through the door she heard Minerva's voice and breathed easier quickly putting her wand away and adding a smile on her face. "Well hello everyone, I run to the store and come home to a house full of people. How wonderful. Vinnie and Justin so great to see you again. Minerva have you showed them around at all?? She looked at the only person she didn't know and put it together quickly. "You must be Maxwell."

Maxwell was about to say something to Minnie when Leelee walked in His father told him to be careful around these people and not tell them too much. "Yes, that would be me. Nice to meet you." He said extending his hand for a handshake. "That would make you...Leelee I'm guessing."

Maxwell was pulled upstairs before he could say anything and before he could try again he was being kissed. He did not mind the latter. He kissed her moving his hands lower down her back and pulling her into him.

She put her hands around his neck and pulled him closer. She needed him close after everything. She was feeling a bit weird from telling him the truth and didn't want to know what he thought of her or any of it, so she just wanted to stay like this for as long as she could.

Maxwell leaned against the door a little and held her tight, it was a comfort to have her so close even more now that he knew how hard it was for her. He would never let anyone harm a hair on her head again. He just hoped no one walked in....or knocked.

Minerva couldn't help but fall closer to him. She just wanted to stay lost in his arms, but knew it would be only a matter of time before someone downstairs looked for them and there was business to talk about. She pulled from the kiss, but stayed in his arms. "You don't think any different of me know do you?" She knew Justin would kill her for asking that, but it was a question that she always worried when someone knew the truth. She was a bit tainted from everything and it scared her that he might leave her knowing that truth.

Leelee smiled and hug Vinnie back she was exactly the same as Leelee had remembered her from the Leaky that day. "You are welcome and can stay as long as you want. This is your home now. Can I show you to your rooms."

She looked at Justin and smiled "Well that's good I guess Justin and your welcome. I couldnt' tell you. I just got back and she was here with her boyfriend, so I'm going to say she is doing well." She headed down to the huge basement first. "I hope this will be okay for you Justin, it has a bathroom and even a small kitchen that we formed for Minerva so she could have her space, but she wanted you to have it."

Maxwell nodded a bit. "Yeah, what about Carina and Damon?" He asked concernedly. Maxwell listened in. "You can normally read a person's eyes but i don't know about your hiding skills, you've never hidden from me." He said with a bit of a sparkle in his eyes. "So what do we do?" He said whispering in her ear so Leelee wouldn't hear them, he hoped. "I want to help...Carina might not be alive but she's technically my little sister. I want to know what happened to her.."

Maxwell pulled out the compass. It had three dials, a red one a blue and a yellow. "The blue points to the closest friends." He said noting it was pointing at Minnie. Minerva got out in the hall and listened, they must have been in the basement. Justin's room. That means they would be coming to Vinnie's room next, they didn't have much time. She made sure her room was closed so they would think Maxwell and her were in there if needed. She looked back at Maxwell, "Over here, but don't touch any walls, door, anything, it will be charmed to recognize touch." She had to go through the entire process so she knew the house knew her. She went to the door hoping it was unlocked and to their luck it was. She opened the room and looked around. Once they were both in the room she closed the door. "I'm not even sure where to start."

Maxwell was careful not to touch anything but the floor once in the room he pulled out his compass and watched the red and yellow dials and neither were moving. "Maybe her desk...unless she has a filing cabinet or a computer..." He said looking around the room. He loved adventure and had a decent amount of adrenaline in his system intensifying everything.
