Vianna's eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness and she was able to make out Ferris's features under the moonlight. She watched the boy curiously as he gave her a weak smile and apologized for being in her room before promising that he would leave soon. Vianna smiled in amusement, remembering the very similar scene from the night before. "It's okay, Professor, you know I always enjoy your company. Even if it wakes me in the middle of the night," she said with a soft chuckle. "Did you have a bad dream again?" she asked him.

emmafan123 10-12-2009 09:34 PM

Ferris was reassured by her smile, listening as she told him that she always enjoyed his company, even if it woke her in the middle of the night. He gave another small smile at this, though his eyes were still sad and he folded his cold shaking hands over his lap. He looked from his hands to the girl before him as she asked if he had a bad dream again, letting out a humorless chuckle, "Yeah," he confirmed with a small nod. "Same one. Somehow...Much worse."

Gryffindoll 10-12-2009 09:36 PM

Vianna's smile faded slightly as Ferris confirmed that he'd had yet another bad dream, but this one worse than the last. The young girl's brows furrowed slightly at this and she patted the empty spot next to hers in the bed, imitating Ferris's common gesture when he asked her to sit with him. "Come here," she told him.

emmafan123 10-12-2009 09:43 PM

Ferris watched as she patted the spot next to herself on the bed, telling him to come over there. He hesitantly climbed into the bed, taking the spot next to her gladly, as being near to her seemed to calm his nerves. He sat, hands still folded on his lap, sitting shoulder to shoulder with the girl. He looked over at her cautiously, obvious concern and fear in his eyes though he was trying to hold it in. He didn't know what to say, how to explain it to her. There was just something about that scene that stung at him in the worst possible way.

Gryffindoll 10-12-2009 09:47 PM

Vianna grinned as Ferris came over to her side and smiled up at the boy as he turned to look at her. "Do you wanna share your dream, Professor?" she asked him, imagining that this would make him feel better. It had worked last time, so perhaps it would work again now. But she couldn't help to feel somewhat hesitant as she remembered how Ferris shared with her that this nightmare had actually been worse than the last one.

emmafan123 10-12-2009 09:54 PM

"You don't need to hear it too, Vi," he muttered softly, not wanting to put those images in her bright, optimistic mind. "Besides, it wasn't that different than the last," he added with a small shrug, hands shaking in spite of himself. He quickly tried to make them stop, concentrating on keeping them still, and managed to, keeping them folded tightly. "Just...More concentrated on the killings," he muttered with a defeated glance to his hands once more. He hated being like this around her, but he couldn't help it.

Gryffindoll 10-12-2009 09:58 PM

Vianna listened quietly as Ferris told her she didn't need to hear his dream, that it wasn't that different from the last but concentrated more on the killings. The girl watched him for a moment before letting her gaze fall to his hands absentmindedly and then to her own hands resting on her lap. She remained silent for a moment before looking up at the boy beside her once again, all smiles as usual. "You don't have to talk about it now if you don't want to, then," she told him. "But when you do feel ready to tell me about it, I'll listen." She gave him another smile and let her right hand search for his left, resting it upon his.

emmafan123 10-12-2009 10:05 PM

He looked over at the girl next to him as she told him he didn't have to talk about it right now if he didn't want to; that when he felt ready to tell her, she'd listen. He noted her smile, his brown eyes studying her features, when he felt her warm small hand over his. Looking down, he gently unclasped his hands so he could properly hold hers, intwining their fingers before looking back to her. "Thanks Vi," Ferris said softly before leaning in and pressing a kiss to her cheek. Her presence was beginning to do what it always did to him, make him calm and content, though it was taking a while. He could feel it in the pit of his stomach though, the knowledge that Vianna was awake with him, by his side, ready to listen if he wanted to talk. Ferris slowly leaned over, gently stooping down in the bed so he could rest his head on her shoulder.

Gryffindoll 10-12-2009 10:14 PM

Vianna responded to Ferris's gratitude with a smile, letting her gaze leave his eyes to look at their now intwined fingers. Her smile widened slightly as Ferris then proceeded to rest his head on her shoulder, almost how she usually rested hers on his shoulder. The young girl let her head rest on top of his and watched the darkness in the room absentmindedly for a moment. She was snapped out of her reverie as something beneath the covers began moving until it came out of hiding somewhere on the other end of the bed; it was Fluffy. The squirrel looked around for a moment before spotting the other two and heading over in their direction, coming to a halt on Vianna's lap and watching Ferris curiously. "Have you started reading the books you bought yesterday?" asked Vianna suddenly, her free hand now petting the furry creature on her lap.

emmafan123 10-12-2009 10:20 PM

Ferris would have been rather alarmed as something started moving from under the covers if he hadn't seen Fluffy crawl under there a few minutes ago. But he had, so he simply watched calmly as the creature emerged from the sheets to sit in Vianna's lap. He watched him for a moment before hearing Vianna's question, "No...I haven't gotten the chance yet," he told her thinking back to the three books he bought. "Maybe I will tomorrow. If I get the time," he pondered for a moment as he let his other cold hand fold around Vianna's so that one of her hands was enveloped in both of his. His mind wandered back to their day, first to their morning in bed, then to their shopping. That reminded him...They never figured out the mystery of if they looked engaged or not, as Ferris had distracted them from the topic before. "So...Is it decided that we look like an engaged couple?" he asked her, turning his brown eyes to attempt to look at her.

Gryffindoll 10-12-2009 10:27 PM

Vianna listened as Ferris shared that he hadn't read his books yet and would probably read them the following day if he had the time. The young girl nodded her head slightly, understandingly, and watched Fluffy absentmindedly as the squirrel began to curl up beneath her hand. But she was distracted from the creature as Ferris spoke again, asking her if it was decided that they looked like an engaged couple. Vianna laughed lightly at this, remembering how this topic had turned their day upside-down before, first with the old man's comment, then with the awkward marriage talk, and then with Vince's insults. "I think..." she started, thinking about it for a moment. "I'm not sure, but we either look like an engaged couple or we look like - as my brother would very kindly put it - 'a pair of mushy little kids falling in love for the first time'. I'm not sure if both things could mean the same, but we're one of 'em," she said before chuckling softly.

emmafan123 10-12-2009 10:31 PM

Ferris couldn't help but smile slightly as Vianna answered him, telling him they either looked like an engaged couple or a pair of mushy little kids falling in love for the first time. He let out a soft chuckle, thinking for a moment before speaking, "I don't think being either would be too bad." He smiled slightly, turning his brown eyes back to her as he began to play with her fingers. "I mean...being engaged or just being a pair of mushy little kids...Doesn't sound so terrible to me."

OOC: Off for ten or fifteen minutes! :)

Gryffindoll 10-12-2009 10:36 PM

Vianna's eyes watched absentmindedly as Ferris's hand began playing with her fingers and she smiled at his words, nodding her head slightly. "Yeah... you're right," she said, her voice almost dazed as her mind was lost elsewhere in thoughts. She wondered if any of that would ever happen - engagement, marriage. How could any of them even lead a normal life with a group of murderous professors chasing them all around the globe? Perhaps if they changed their names and went by secret identities, but that wasn't the life Vianna wanted to lead. Her brows furrowed slightly as she thought about all of this, her eyes still gazing absentmindedly at her and Ferris's hands.

ooc: Okay! ^_^

emmafan123 10-12-2009 10:47 PM

Ferris could tell by the tone of her voice that the girl was lost in thought, and his suspicion was confirmed as she remained silent for a couple minutes. He sat up slightly, as it was more comfortable for him anyway to have his back up against the headboard, so he was now sitting shoulder to shoulder with her once more. "What're you thinking about?" he asked her, curious to know what was going through Vianna's mind. He continued to play with her fingers, tracing the lines of her palm and gently tugging at her small fingers.

Gryffindoll 10-12-2009 10:50 PM

"Huh?" Vianna snapped out of thoughts as Ferris suddenly moved, catching her off-guard. She turned to him and as the words sunk in, she shrugged. "Oh, just stuff," she replied. She didn't want to talk about this with him, though, as it might lead him to thoughts of the kidnappers and the kidnappers would most likely remind him of his nightmares. The girl then gave him a smile. "Are you hungry or anything?" she asked.

emmafan123 10-12-2009 10:53 PM

Ferris was a little confused at her vague response, but he accepted it, not pushing her for an answer. He watched their hands for a moment before he heard her next question, and he looked up once more, "No, no I'm fine," he replied with a small smile. He stopped fidgeting with her hand and instead kept it between both of his now warm hands. "Were you dreaming about anything?' he asked, breaking their comfortable silence.

Gryffindoll 10-12-2009 10:56 PM

Vianna nodded her head slightly as Ferris let her know he didn't want any food and she then frowned slightly as he asked if she had been dreaming about anything. "You mean before you came in?" she asked before shaking her head. "Not really, no. I haven't had a dream in a long time," she admitted with a soft chuckle. Most of her nights were usually dreamless.

emmafan123 10-12-2009 11:02 PM

Ferris smiled slightly as she told him she was dreamless, as she usually was. His brown eyes studied her expression, watching her with slight curiosity in his eyes. "That's funny...I always have dreams," he told her, leaning his head back against the headboard as his eyes roamed to the squirrel still sitting on Vianna's lap. "Ever since I was a little kid actually," he added, thinking back to the number of times that he had run into his mother's room when he had had a bad one. Or sometimes, the dreams would be good, random dreams that had nothing to do with anything. Either way, he always found them interesting, and once he got older tried to dissect what they might really mean. Well, these ones he'd been having recently were pretty self explanatory of the things that were hanging around his subconcious. Ferris's eyes widened slightly as he hoped this wouldn't be a habit. What if he had dreams like this every night? What would he do? He definitely couldn't come running to Vianna and wake her up every night....He let out a small sigh, deciding he would figure that out when he came to it, and hoped desperately that these wouldn't be continuous dreams.

Gryffindoll 10-12-2009 11:07 PM

Vianna's eyebrows rose slightly and she smiled as Ferris shared that he always had dreams, ever since he was a little kid. "Really? Every night?" she asked curiously. She watched as the boy then seemed to turn thoughtful, widening his eyes and then sighing to himself. Vianna smiled in amusement at the sight, always enjoying how she got to examine his different facial expressions every time he turned thoughtful like that. "What have you got in your mind, Professor?" she asked him.

emmafan123 10-12-2009 11:11 PM

"Well, not every night," he confessed, "But at least a few times a week." He watched their hands for a moment before he heard her next question, looking up to see her smiling at him, which in turn made him smile slightly on instinct. "I'm just thinking about....These nightmares I keep getting," he told her with a grim smile. "I just...Don't want to have to keep having them. I'm just scared I'm going to make a habit of having them every night, and I don't want to have to keep bothering you." Ferris gave her a small half smile, "I don't know what else can make me feel better like you can....Like just sitting here for a couple minutes. You've already calmed me down. My hands are back to normal and everything."

Gryffindoll 10-12-2009 11:17 PM

Vianna nodded her head understandingly as Ferris spoke, explaining to her how he didn't want to make a habit of having nightmares every night. She couldn't help but smile brightly, though, as the boy now shared with her how she always seemed to be able to calm him down. She watched Ferris for a moment after he finished before leaning over and placing a kiss on his cheek. "I don't want you to continue having nightmares either, Professor," she told him. "But it makes me really happy when you come to me looking for comfort... it's nice to know I can at least do that for you." She gave him a smile and rested her head on his shoulder. "So if you keep having any more nightmares, whether they be about the kidnappers or anything else, just know that I'm always happy to keep you company."

emmafan123 10-12-2009 11:25 PM

At the warm feel of Vianna's lips on his cheek, Ferris's face lit up substantially, and he couldn't help but smile slightly. He listened as she told him that she didn't want him to have nightmares either, but it made her really happy to know that he came to her looking for comfort. But it was her next words that really seemed to make the boy glow as she told him that if he ever had nightmares, she would always be happy to keep him company. "That means a lot to me, Vi," he told her softly before kissing her forehead. He wrapped one of his arms around her, pulling her gently into his side. He remained silent for a moment, his mind going over things before he spoke once more, "It's hard to believe that I only met you last week," he muttered with an amazed smile.

Gryffindoll 10-12-2009 11:29 PM

Vianna smiled to herself as Ferris spoke before awarding her with a kiss on her forehead and then pulling her gently to him. The girl watched Fluffy absentmindedly as she continued stroking his soft brown fur gently and listened as Ferris spoke again, mentioning how hard it was to believe that he had only met her last week. The young girl chuckled softly at this. "It is. It's kind of strange, actually... I feel like I've already known you for ages," she said, amusement in her eyes as she shared this fact. "It usually takes months, maybe even years to get to know this much about a person."

emmafan123 10-12-2009 11:36 PM

Ferris listened as she agreed, telling him that it felt like she had known him for ages. He smiled slightly at this, because that was the exact way he felt too, and listened as she continued to mention how it would usually take months or years to get to know this much about a person. His smile widened and he turned his eyes to her, "I know...I don't think I've ever been this interested in a person before." He let out a soft chuckle as he gathered his thoughts. "I'm just amazed at it all really, that we could be so...compatible as to be this comfortable with each other after only a week or so." He stroked the back of her hand with his thumb gently as he watched her, "I feel like I could tell you anything."

Gryffindoll 10-12-2009 11:42 PM

Vianna looked up from her lazy little squirrel to the boy beside her as he spoke, letting her know he had never been this interested in a person before and how he was amazed that they could be so comfortable with each other after only knowing each other for a week. The girl smiled and nodded in agreement, beaming as he then added that he felt like he could tell her anything. "I feel the same way, Professor," she told him, her smile giddy as she looked up at him. "I'm glad Hogwarts had to close down now. I don't think we would've ever met if we were still at the castle," she said, though her brows furrowed slightly as she thought to herself that they probably wouldn't be in this horrible situation either, had the castle never closed.
