"Yes, He and the Mrs. are on their way...Hello, Minnie.." He said sounding very cold and cryptic until the last part where he said her name, he said it as if they were 14 again and he felt a rush of emotions come back to him, he didn't really know how to feel to be honest, his eyes a deep purple. Max turned to Athena. "Calm down...she's no threat."

Minerva looked in shock as the ladies wand came up. She placed her hands up scared it had been years since she really had been around wizards and she wasn't feeling very strong after being at a funeral today. "I.. I shouldn't have come this was a bad idea, I was an old friend is all. I am not.." but before she could say anything else she heard his voice and it made her freeze. The sound was sweet but the harshness brought cold over her. She knew this was a horrible mistake once she heard the coldness he carried. She looked to the ground like an ashamed puppy. "Hi Max" is all she could really get out with her voice shaking in fear.

Athena looked between Her husband and this stranger hearing the way he said her voice and his eyes. She unsecured the house and put her wand away "minnie?" she said a bit too loudly she then took a good look at minnie

Maxwell gave his wife a look like he had nothing to be ashamed of. He turned back to Minerva. "It's good to see you.." He said with a kind smile, trying to keep the coldness from his voice, he was angry, but happy and hurt and excited all at once, he didn't know how to behave. "Where have you been all these years?" He asked thinking how many times he'd been asked the same thing recently.

Minerva finally looked up and gave a weak smile, "Yes, I'm Minerva Wheatborn, well Minnie or Min as everyone use to know me." she said to the lady whom she still wasn't sure exactly who she was. Then she looked at Maxwell and felt the nervous jump in her stomach. "Well after my big fall out with Leelee I went to live with my grandparents in America, which meant becoming a muggle. So I have been there all these years. Nothing special really, muggle schools, muggle sports, muggle life." she shrugged regretting every moment of it especially that fall out with her cousin, she never did make amends and now it was to late. "I am only in London because of Leelee's death actually." she looked down again, "The funeral was today."

Athena stood close to max as she remembered all the stories she heard of this min and how she stole max's heart at just 14 years old though she didnt say anything, she just let them talk as she slipped her hands into her pocket so that the long lost girl wouldnt see her wedding ring

Maxwell frowned. "Minnie, I'm so sorry.." He said genuinely sad. "How long are you in town for?" He asked a little too distracted to mention he was married. He wasn't sure how to tell her anyway. 'Oh hey this is my wife?'

Minerva looked at Maxwell and was lost a moment in his eyes, "Well I am here for a few more days. I want to see some old places and well was hoping to see some old friends, if those friends cared to see me. Maxwell I'm so sorry for how I left back them." Minerva stopped not wanting to completely say everything and she looked at the lady again, "I'm sorry I don't even know your name, you probably just think I'm such a crazy person showing up here unannounced. It was so rude of me, living in the muggle world I guess I forgot how hard it was to just drop in on wizards without making them worry."

Maxwell smiled a little. "I'm sure everyone will want to see you, i know when i got back they all wanted to see me.." He said not really explaining what he meant. "I know, Min...it's okay. I forgive you..it's taken me a bit to really mean that but i do." He said knowing he was over it now. He was a little too caught up in the moment to introduce Athena..

"It's okay Im Athena Lupin, Max's Wife." she said offering her a hand since she said she was in america for so many years and athena was american after all

Minerva looked at Maxwell for a second in a bit of a shock, but why should this shock her. Of course Max moved on, of course he was married. Minerva put on her best smile she hadn't had to hide feelings in a long time, but she could still do it. She stuck out her hand, "Nice to meet you and again I am sorry for just coming over. I should have owled at least, but since I was just up the street and was taking a walk it was a bit of a last minute decision on my part. You have a great husband Athena." She smiled a bit at Maxwell.

Maxwell smiled at her, it was more of a sad smile than a happy one. He knew how she really felt. He wished he could tell her something to make it better but what could he say, would he tell her how many years he spent trying to find someone like her? or that no one other than Athena seemed good enough because she wasn't her? or maybe how many nights he wished for her, no these would only make her feel worse. "I'm glad you came by Min..." He said unsure how to feel.

She shook min's hand "I do indeed." she said looking over at her husband and falling in love all ove again like she did everytime she looked at him. she put h er hands on her stomach "he really is great."

Minerva looked around the house, "The house looks great Max" turning to them again she smiled, "How is Justin? You said he was married now. Do I know her?" Minerva was curious as to how her friends were. She missed them everyday. "What about Damon and Taylor, what are they up to? Did they stay together?" She knew she was asking to many questions, but her nerves were still getting the best of her. She really wished she had her wand at the moment at least that might make her feel as if she could fit in. She didn't feel like she fit in this world at all at the moment.

Athena sat on the couch. "Come have a seat." she said to min "Justin is married to some chick.. Ariana something.. taylor & damon.. well 7 kids and a almost divorce later."

"I forget sometimes, how your being a journalist makes you a blabbermouth." He said playfully to his wife. "Yes, Justin and Ariana are married, 2 kids a boy and girl. Damon and Taylor, Married too, 7 kids and one on the way apparently..." He said thinking that they were the only couple from that year not to make it, but it was the past, this was his life now and he loved his wife very dearly. "What about you? Anyone in your life?" he asked curiously, something that never changed about him.

Minerva couldn't help but smile at Athena her warmth made Minerva feel more comfortable. She sat down on the chair. "Wow seven kids that's so many." she then smiled as Maxwell spoke, but her mind took her back to the group when they were all couples. How much she missed by leaving. Could they have been still here if she wouldn't have left, not something to think about Min she thought to her self and shook her head. "Another one on the way and they are not doing well. That is not good." she frowned a bit. Then couldn't help but chuckle, "I'm sorry Ariana has two kids? Who would have thought. I'm so glad everyone seems to be doing so well." She then looked at them and a thought crossed her mind, but she didn't know if she really wanted to know the answer. "So do you two have any children?"

"I know, Ariana as a mother...odd thought.." He said and turned beet red at the question. "Not..presently, but we've one on the way.." He said giving his wife's hand a little squeeze. "What about you Min, anyone special in your life?" He asked wondering if there had been many others after him.

Athena chuckled at them talking about Ariana apparently she wasnt so motherly as a child she then blushed and looked over at max as he just blabbered about her being pregnant

Minerva felt a part of her break at the words, but knew she couldn't change the past so she had to stop thinking that way. What did she really think would happen, he would have not found anyone, she walk in and everything would be picture perfect.. He wasn't her knight anymore he was someone else's. "Well that's great congrats." she smiled at both of them. She thought about the next question he asked, the true answer was no, there had been no one, but could she really look that lame in front of him. So Minerva smiled, "Well at the moment, no there is no one in my life. I live in a cabin alone in the mountains." She thought about her life and how nice it was, but how empty as well.

Maxwell smiled, slightly. "Thanks...I can't lie i'm nervous about being a Dad..." He said knowing he hadn't said that to his wife yet. "That sounds brilliant.." He turned to Athena "We need a cabin..." Turning back to Min "What state do you live in?" He asked her. He had spent so much time thinking of the perfect way to tell her off and now that she was here he couldn't, she felt so bad...how could he make it worse. He knew she wished things were different, did Athena?

Minerva gave a smile, "Oh you will be fine. You have had some practice with your baby sister." Minerva couldn't remember the girls name, but knew she had to be almost Hogwarts age by now. She then thought of her cabin, "Well it's in Tennessee. It was near my grandparents so I could help take care of them as they got older." she thought about them it had been a few years since they had passed, but that wasn't any concern. "So what have you been up to all these years. Are you a teacher now like you wanted?"

Maxwell laughed. "Only a little, Alice was always a bit of a handful. In fact i hear she still is, i haven't seen her yet she's a firstie this year." He listened to her speak about her cabin. "That sounds nice...how are things in the muggle world?" He asked wondering how she managed to live in only the muggle world for years. "Well, i went to new york for school, i did learn transfiguration and i do have my teaching degree, but i've been..uhh..occupied the last three years, Athena and i were in some trouble which is why she's a little jumpy, honestly getting married and all this was never on the agenda for either of us, it just sort of happened." He said and smiled sweetly at Athena.

Minerva smiled at them and was happy he found someone that could make him happy. "Oh the muggle world has been fine. It's where I belong I think. I loved this world, but always felt out of place after mom and dad died. I felt closer to them once I was back in the muggle world." She then looked at Athena, "Well it's nice to see how happy you two are together. Athena, what do you do other then keeping this one out of trouble." Minerva smiled as she joked.

Maxwell nodded. "Funny, i always felt the opposite after Mum died..." He said not sure if he ever talked to Min about his mother's passing. He nodded to the second part until she said something about him "Am I really that awful?" He asked jokingly.
