Ren'Ai Sakura Kirai has had a tough life. She was orphaned at ten, and labeled as the 'Japanese Transfer' and 'Paranoia Queen' at Hogwarts.
Now twenty-one, Ren'Ai has recently been placed in the Magical Creatures department of the Ministry of Magic. Her paranoia and distrust was starting to disappear.
But her past is coming back to haunt her. An old friend has started coming to her new home. He has been trying to convince her to come back to Japan. But Ren'Ai, believe it or not, has an actual family now. Albeit 'adopted', she still has a family. She wouldn't be able to leave when she has friends and family that love her to bits, or when she has a job that she enjoys greatly.
But will Koudo accept that? Ren'Ai thinks...not.
Her 'slice of paradise' as she and her 'adopted' family call it, is a beautiful three-story white house with a master bedroom on the top floor and three guest bedrooms-one on the top floor and the other two on the second floor- all with their own separate baths and balconies extending from the bedrooms. She also has a large dining room and adjoining kitchen, a large study and a small library on the ground floor.
Out back, Ren'Ai has a large vegetable and flower garden, and a small pond that she is usually found lounging by.
Ren'Ai is nearly always willing to let you in if you need a place to stay for the night. Just don't touch the pictures or go into her study, and we'll all get along.

Ren looked over at Callum. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked, sitting up gently so she wouldn't disturb Kai. She used one hand to smooth Cal's hair from his face.
Callum looked over at Ren and nodded, a fake smile on his face. How fake could that smile be? A pretty amazing smile, yeah but still fake. "I'm fine" he lied. He laid back down again and sighed deeply, his hands over his face. He was such a screw up when he was a teenager. He still was. "Do you remember the prank my friends and I pulled on you the week after we bumped into each other in the library?" he asked before biting his lip. He did and his friends still hadn't earnt respect after that. He was still the one who people feared but respected at the same time.

Callum looked down as Ren recalled the worst thing he could ever have done to her. He was mean, still was at the best of times. But at least he stepped up and apologised for everything. Everything but what he'd done to Ren. "You know I tried my hardest not to let them do it. Obviously didn't try hard enough. And they still didn't earn my respect" he repleid truthfully, his Australian accent stronger than usual. He just stood by and watched as they did it, he didn't actually do anything. Though he should've. It wasn't as if he had anything to fear, everyone else feared him. Including his 'friends' come 'followers'.

Callum sighed. He was a failure. An epic failure. And Ren was in love with him after everything he did to her back in Hogwarts? He was shocked she even acknowledged him after that.

Callum walked toward the Great Hall hearing laughter rawr through. Slytherin. Again. He sighed and looked at his 'followers' Again they'd upset Ren. He rolled his eyes and made his way over to the group of boys tormenting Ren as usual.
"You guys really are pathetic, try targetting the enemy. That means Gryffindors, not Slytherin's" he told the boys and sat down between them and Ren'Ai. He looked at the crying Japanese girl and bit his lip. He really did like her but his chances were destroyed, again.
"Who'd have thought Callum McGuire would be fratenising the enemy" one of the boys said.
"Maybe he's turning to the good side" another said. Callum turned his head an narrowed his eyes at the boys.
"Either leave Ren'Ai the hell alone or all of you will be at the bottom of the lake with no way out" he warned them and walked off. First time for everything. Including sticking up for the girl he'd targetted for so long.
Callum looked over at Ren and took hold of her hand. Then he moved closer and sat up before wiping away her tears and kissing her.

Ren simply nodded. "He never wanted it to happen. He stuck up for me at the end!" she argued.
Kyoko sighed. "Just be careful. You've had your heart broken quite enough" she said, turning on her heel and walking away.
"Kyoko, I love him" Ren said, grabbing the ash blonde's shoulders.
Kyoko's black eyes became troubled. "But Ren...after all that happened last year...you love him?"
Ren simply nodded. "He never wanted it to happen. He stuck up for me at the end!" she argued.

Ren bit her still trembling bottom lip.
Callum sighed and crossed his legs. Why was it only bad memories flowing back. He knew he was a failure, he didin't need the memories to remind him of that.

"If I don't, I'll never get the chance. I'm not running that risk, that's one risk not worth taking" he replied.

Ren was yanked out of the memory when Callum whispered in her ear. She looked up at him and smiled. "I love you too" she whispered in return.
Callum smiled again. He was knocked back again by yet another memory. One he didn't like that much.

"Callum McGuire, detention for a week" the professor shouted from the front of the classroom. Callum looked at him and sighed.
"You know what, I could but, then I'd just come out ten times worse" he pointed out rather slyly. The professor narrowed his eyes.
"Then you'll be spending the rest of the term in detention. Better?" he replied. Callum looked at him and shook his head.
"Good luck trying that, Professor" he replied and walked out.
