Ravenswood Manor

Adrianna Charday’s life has been a rollercoaster, to say the least. When it all becomes too much, she slips away from her home in the middle of the night, as she has done many times before. Only this time, it’s for good. She goes to the beautiful wildlife preserve that a close family friend owns. Ravenswood. The ideal place to go if you need some alone time. But no one knows what’s really going through the raven-haired teenager’s depressed mind. She was slowly losing herself in self-pity, depression.
Her best friend since she was an infant, Cassandriana Brant, visits daily, but can never find the girl she once knew as her friend inside the shell of a person she finds everyday.
But if you do find old Adrianna, she will gladly welcome you into the humongous manor house that she now calls home. There are eight bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a large den with a fireplace and mantle, two kitchens, and a sunroom throughout the house. Two wolves, Dreamer and Stormbringer stay in the den by the fireplace during the winter, but during the warmer months, they are either running around the preserve, or lying by Adrianna. There is a very large library on the top floor, where Ad spends most of her time. A sign on the gates leading to the preserve says:
Ravenswood Wildlife Preserve
Take only photos and leave only footprints.
Please don’t feed the animals, and stay on the paths.
Garbage in, garbage out policy.
$200 fine for littering.
Open from dawn till dusk.

Tours there were very popular. But now, in the winter months, not even her fellow guides could break the icy barrier that wrapped itself around Adrianna’s heart. She didn’t punch anyone who called her “Addy” anymore.
Adrianna’s life was crumbling down. But that would never stop her friend and her cousins from trying to help.

Not a good thing. And it never was.

Out in the cold? It wasn't even that cold. It never was on top of the creek. Oddly. Justin got off Midnight and tied his reigns to a post. He looked over at Ad and shrugged. "Not like I'm sleeping out here" he replied. It was true. And he didn't care if he wasn't allowed to. He wanted to stay out there for a bit longer. It was his only escape from all the thoughts coming from inside the house.

Ad nodded. Justin was right. She slid off of Miley and copied Justin's actions. Yeah, she was staring to feel a little uncomfortable. She looked down and scuffed her foot a little.

Justin sat down near the edge of the cliff and looked round at Ad. Okay she didn't look too happy. "What's wrong?" he asked.

Ad sat down next to Justin. "Nothing's wrong. I feel kinda...uncomfortable, for some reason" she said, shrugging. Not a rare occurence, so she wasn't worried.

Justin crossed his legs and shifted his head to one side when Midnight rubbed his head against his cheek. Naww he was so cute. "Here you go, boy" he whispered taking a carrot out of his pocket and giving it to Midnight.

Ad smiled sweetly and rested her chin on his shoulder, pulling him a little closer. "I know you do" she whispered, smiling, not letting on how much her leg was killing her.

The blonde dressed in a sweet summer blue dress made her way towards the front door. Merlin, Emma hoped she wasn't late. She knew she had spent too much time picking out a hostess gift for Adiranna. That would be terrible. And Justin and Adri would both be upset with her. She hated being late and seeing her friends upset, but with invitation in hand, she knocked at the door and waited. Hmmmm... Sorry?! Meep.

Adri looked up and smiled wide wen she heard a knock at the door. She opened the huge doors and smiled again. "Emma! Hey!" she said, moving aside to let her walk through the doorway. "Yu're just in time. I'm only waiting for Kita now...." she paused. "You don't have a problem with Kita Lewis, do you?" she asked uickly, biting her lip. As she waited for an answer, she looked behind her whe she heard a sharp bark.

Dreamer barked sharply and ran into the frnt room, skidding to a stop when he saw the strange female human. He came up baside his mistress and looked up curiously, smiling wolfishly.

As usual.

You'd have thought that her hate for running would have taught this young girl to have better time-keeping skills. Some things were just never going to change.

Huffing and puffing, the brunette ran the last couple of metres and skidded to a halt outside the front door. She flapped a hand near her face, trying to regain her breath.

Seriously, what she was doing here, she didn't know. She was great friends with Maria and Ad but... there were WOLVES here for Merlin's sake! How was she meant to enjoy her time over at her friends house if she was constantly going to have to worry about being attacked?!

Raising a hand, Kita knocked on the front door, a huge smile on her face. So what if she was late? Maybe she could style it out...?

Ad was sure Emma was just about to answer when someone knocked on the door. With a wide smile, she opened the door to reveal Kita. "Kita! Hi!" she greeted.

Dreamer tilted his head to the side and barked happily.

Ad looked down. "This is Dreamer, by the way" she said, kneeling down to muss up his fur. "You're not gonna attack, are ya, boy? No" she said, smiling as Dreamer licked her face.

The blonde smiled at both of them and saw Adri's companion who was a four legged creature. Emma turned and gave the four legged creature a quick smile too, to let the creature know that she was friendly and that she wasn't going to attack anyone.

This is only a branch of the main preserve that my grandmother Adriane and my grandfather Zachariah own. Dreamer, his mate Stormbringer, and their pup Moonshadow all belonged to grandmother Adriane. I swear they're magical sometimes" she said.

Emma grinned and nodded again. "Welcome. Well you guys do an amazing job," she explained, with a small smile across her lips. And then the blonde nodded again. "You know, I really do think so. Awesome! I'm not much of a big Muggle History person. My parents don't like me dealing with too much 'Muggle' stuff. Well you know that already but they won't find out a thing," said Emma, winking at her.

Adri smiled wide. "Thank you!" she said. Adri smiled. "Thanks, Emma. No, my family is Pureblood. I can't think of any Muggles in my family, so if they do find out, you won't be in any trouble" she said honestly. A small yip caused her to laugh as a little wolf pup collided with her ankle. She reached down and picked Moonshadow. "Hey, cutie!" she said, giggling as he licked her face.

Justin smiled cutely and pulled Ad into a hug. Yeah, for someone who didn't know them that well, it would be pretty obvious they were madly in love with each other. Even Mikey guessed that the first time he met them.
