Ravenswood Manor

Adrianna Charday’s life has been a rollercoaster, to say the least. When it all becomes too much, she slips away from her home in the middle of the night, as she has done many times before. Only this time, it’s for good. She goes to the beautiful wildlife preserve that a close family friend owns. Ravenswood. The ideal place to go if you need some alone time. But no one knows what’s really going through the raven-haired teenager’s depressed mind. She was slowly losing herself in self-pity, depression.
Her best friend since she was an infant, Cassandriana Brant, visits daily, but can never find the girl she once knew as her friend inside the shell of a person she finds everyday.
But if you do find old Adrianna, she will gladly welcome you into the humongous manor house that she now calls home. There are eight bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a large den with a fireplace and mantle, two kitchens, and a sunroom throughout the house. Two wolves, Dreamer and Stormbringer stay in the den by the fireplace during the winter, but during the warmer months, they are either running around the preserve, or lying by Adrianna. There is a very large library on the top floor, where Ad spends most of her time. A sign on the gates leading to the preserve says:
Ravenswood Wildlife Preserve
Take only photos and leave only footprints.
Please don’t feed the animals, and stay on the paths.
Garbage in, garbage out policy.
$200 fine for littering.
Open from dawn till dusk.

Brennan put her hand a few inches away from Justin's mouth, and nodded, then watched the heart monitor. "His breathing isn't distorted anymore..." she said, eyes fixed on the monitor.

Ad felt her eyes getting teary and she clutched Justin's hand tighter. "Please" she whispered, a tear rolling down her cheek. She looked down at Cassie, who's emotions were getting worse at watching her unconscious brother.

Cassie hiccuped and clung to Addy, burying her face in the older woman's shirt. She looked up at her mum and held her arms out to be held. "Mummy!"

Wow! So this was the outcome of everything going on in Justin's life? Alexa was furious. She wasn't going to deny it. Her son was unconscious probably close to a coma and instead of trying to wake him up Anna just stood cradling her own daughter. She shook her head and stood beside Alex taking her sons hand in hers. "Justin, sweetie" she whispered trying not to make it obvious she was in the room. She didn't want to scare the little girl. She brushed her finger against Justin's cheek gently so he knew of her presence. Maybe it would wake him up.

A shiver ran through Alex's entire body feeling someone brush against him and a finger brush against his pale cheek. Was it him or had it turned horribly cold in the room. He glanced down at Justin with a hopeful look on his face. But he couldn't take it anymore. He looked away and walked out into the corridor trying to hide the tears appearing in his eyes.

Her attention went to Cassie. "Nice to see her smiling like that, giving what her oldest brother's put her through" she sighed.

Cassie grinned and crawled off Addy's lap to hug Justin. "Jus'in!" she giggled happily. She looked up at the strange woman and nodded. "Okay" she smiled cheerily at her. She watched her mum leave the room and tilted her head against Justin's shoulder. "Mummy?" she asked, biting on the tip of her thumb like she had earlier.

"He'll come to his senses eventually" he said hugging his little sister.

Alexa shook her head and tried to contain herself watching Anna walk out. "Someone please shove a brick in my mouth..." she said. She looked at Ad curiously. "By oldest brother I'm guessing you mean Callum. What's he done?"

Cassie watched as Justin threw his phone, and her face dropped. She felt her bottom lip start to tremble and she looked down, sniffling slightly.

Anna sighed guiltily. That wasn't making her anymore confident in herself. She bit her lip.

Justin looked at Cassie and sighed. He honestly didn't know what else he could do to get a smile back on that little face of hers. He glanced at Ad and shrugged. "Maybe because she's blinded by all the 'good' qualities he claims he has" he replied. He looked down at Cassie again guiltily. "I tried, sweetie"
