Ravenswood Manor

Adrianna Charday’s life has been a rollercoaster, to say the least. When it all becomes too much, she slips away from her home in the middle of the night, as she has done many times before. Only this time, it’s for good. She goes to the beautiful wildlife preserve that a close family friend owns. Ravenswood. The ideal place to go if you need some alone time. But no one knows what’s really going through the raven-haired teenager’s depressed mind. She was slowly losing herself in self-pity, depression.
Her best friend since she was an infant, Cassandriana Brant, visits daily, but can never find the girl she once knew as her friend inside the shell of a person she finds everyday.
But if you do find old Adrianna, she will gladly welcome you into the humongous manor house that she now calls home. There are eight bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a large den with a fireplace and mantle, two kitchens, and a sunroom throughout the house. Two wolves, Dreamer and Stormbringer stay in the den by the fireplace during the winter, but during the warmer months, they are either running around the preserve, or lying by Adrianna. There is a very large library on the top floor, where Ad spends most of her time. A sign on the gates leading to the preserve says:
Ravenswood Wildlife Preserve
Take only photos and leave only footprints.
Please don’t feed the animals, and stay on the paths.
Garbage in, garbage out policy.
$200 fine for littering.
Open from dawn till dusk.

Tours there were very popular. But now, in the winter months, not even her fellow guides could break the icy barrier that wrapped itself around Adrianna’s heart. She didn’t punch anyone who called her “Addy” anymore.
Adrianna’s life was crumbling down. But that would never stop her friend and her cousins from trying to help.

Alex looked at Callum and narrowed his eyes. "You mean your afraid Kai's gonna get pushed out even more" he replied. He knew exactly what Callum was getting at. He scanned his son from top to bottom looking in disgrace and walked downstairs.

Callum watched as his scanned him then went downstairs. "Still a complete hippocritt" he said as his dad walked downstairs not caring if he went after him or not.

Justin walked into the hallway and stepped aside when Alex stormed past. He looked at an angry Callum and walked upstairs following him into his bedroom. "You and dad have gotta sort something out, Callum. For Ren's sake if not for Kai" he told his brother.

Callum looked at his younger brother. "When he apologises for abandoning me maybe" he replied and sat on the bed trying not to wake Ren up.

Ren sat up and sighed. "Keep your voice down, I'm trying to sleep, dammit!" she snapped irritably at Ad, flopping down back into the pillow.

Callum shook his head. "No he just doesn't like it when I throw up some home truths. Like how he abandoned me at three and doesn't treat Kai as if he's his granson" he explained. And it stung. He didn't mind but Kai needed a grandfather.

He looked at Ad then at Ren and shook his head. "No you can leave her alone" he replied sternly as he stood up.

Callum sighed. "He can't even make an effort for Justin let alone Kai" he replied truthfully. But they never fought. They were more mature than that.

He looked at Ad when she begged and glanced at Ren. "Okay but don't say I gave you permission" he replied.

Anna sighed and came to the top of the stairs. "Ad, stop it. Ren isn't the only one who wants some sleep around here" she said, running a hand through her hair. She knew she wouldn't be able to sleep with the headache she had now.

Alex sighed and listened as Ad spoke. "I don't mind you doing it just not when Anna's asleep, you know how loud Ren can be" he replied.
