Ad nodded weakly. "Yea..." she said, her voice trembling a little.

Justin sighed. He looked at the door hoping he'd enter but he didn't. Well this was awkward.

Ad sniffled and slowly felt herself lose consciousness. "Justin..." she whispered, looking up at him weakly, her eyes glazed over in pain. "I don't know how long I can stay conscious" she said weakly. She coughed a little, blood dripping onto his shirt before she passed out on him.

Justin looked at Ad. Uh-oh. This was not good. Everybody freeze. And that was what if felt like. It felt like the entire world had come to a halt. And he didn't like it. He looked down at the blood stain that had just formed on his shirt and gulped, trying to avoid fainting even though he held the blood drain from his face. This was not a good sign. And now Ad had passed out on him. That was twice as bad. He needed to get help but he couldn't do that whilst Ad was on him. He tried his best to move him to the bed and laid her down before quickly escaping from the room to get away from the horrible stench that masked the room. The smell of blood. Ad's blood. "H-HELP!" he shouted with a stutter and he fought to stay awake. He didn't want to faint. But he felt himself falling to the ground. And he was gone.

Jordan looked up when he heard a familiar voice shout for help. Ah, the boy who thought he looked younger than he was and way too young to be a doctor. But something was horribly wrong. But he couldn't find out what because the boy had collapsed. He quickly made his way to the room the girl was in. On his way he stopped to look at another doctor. "McCallister, take care of him. Bring him round and make sure he's okay. If he is, bring him into this room. It's important he's in here" he told the slightly younger doctor as he made his way inside the room the girl was in. And even she had passed out. He rushed toward the bed and checked all of her vitals. Next, to bring her round.

Ad lay on the hospital bed, unmoving but for the slight rise and fall of her chest as she barely took in breath. Sweat beaded on her forehead and cheeks.

Dr. Langley tried his best to bring the girl round but everything he tried just didn't work. Time to bring in someone who had been qualified for a lot longer than he had. He glanced at the door as it opened ever so slightly. And the boy appeared not looking too good. "Take a seat, I'll deal with you when I've sorted your girlfriend out" he told him. And even though the boy had given him reason to take a dislike to him, he suddenly felt oh so sorry for him. Then he attempted to make the girl come to again. Well, coughing was a start. But there was blood. And he had the impression that was what was wrong with the boy.

Ad coughed violently, slowing coming to. She opened her eyes slowly and closed them again at the bright light. She wiped the stream of blood weakly from her mouth, only to cough more.The sharp pain in her stomach returned, causing her to cry out as tears welled in her eyes.

Dr. Langley looked at Ad and then glanced over at Justin. "It might be best if you turn away whilst she coughing" he suggested and smiled slightly as the boy did as he said. He turned his attention back to Ad again. "When did this actually start?" he asked.

Ad shrugged, in too much pain to respond.

Dr. Langley raised an eyebrow.Well that was gonna help him sort the problem, wasn't it. The 25 year old looked over at the boy as he tried his hardest to stay conscious. "You're gonna need to try and tell me something somehow. Even if you just write it down" he told the girl. He didn't want to push her but he needed to help her.

Ad whimpered and nodded, taking a deep breath. "I-I started coughing about, I d-dunno, an hour and a half ago? I-I can't remember..." she stammered, her eyes tearing up more.

Dr. Langley took note of what she'd told him. "How much pain are you in? And don't say you're not 'cus I can tell you are" he replied.

Ad wiped away a few tears. "Excruciating would be an understatement, let's put it that way" she said, sobbing a little. She looked up at Dr. Langley helplessly.

Dr. Langley sighed. He honestly had no idea what the problem. "Okay, I'll run some tests. In the meantime, I'll give you a potion to help with the coughing and the pain" he told her.

Ad nodded, thankful for anything that would help.

Dr. Langley took a deep breath. "I'll go get that sorted out. Make yourself comfortable" he replied.

Ad nodded. "Thank you" she whispered. She looked up at Justin apologetically. She hated doing this to him, and her eyes teared up again, this time not from the pain. From the fact that Justin had to see her suffer like this.

Justin looked up as Dr. Langley left, his face still pale for some reason. He got up and weakly made his way over to Ad. "Looks like even the best of doctors can't figure this one out" he said in a slight whisper. What?! Less than an hour ago he was saying D. Langley looked too young to be fully qualified.

Ad burst into tears again. "I'm sorry Justin...for making you see me like this"

Justin sniffled slightly, the colour in his face not returning. "It's not your fault" he replied.

Ad coughed a little, sobbing more as the pain-emotional and physical-increased. She looked up at Justin, her teary blue eyes pained. "What's gonna happen to me, Justin?" she asked timidly.

Justin sighed shrugged. "You're gonna get better. Whether Dr. Langley knows what it is or not. He'll get to the bottom of it and make sure you get better" he assured her. Even though he knew this was far more serious than they initially thought.

Ad brought her hand up to her mouth and bit down hard on her hand and managed to sit up without screaming. She unclamped her jaw from her hand and looked properly up at Justin. "But admit...it's worse than what McKenzie said" she said. A sharp gasp escaped her lips when she shifted, and she took off her once-white jacket totally, revealing the purple tank top underneath, and motioned for Justin to turn away as she coughed violently into the jacket, each cough more painful than the previous.

She finally finished and just broke down, the pain way too much to bear. "Justin..." she whispered as she tossed the jacket so the blood stain was covered. "I honestly believe I'm not gonna make it...I've lost a horrendous amount of blood...I dunno if I can get through this" she said, any confidence she was gonna make it dissipating as she cried more, looking up at Justin, her eyes giving it away. She was giving up.

Justin sighed and nodded in agreement. "Langley's a doctor in a hospital, they always look deeper. Plus McKenzie wasn't even sure how bad it is" he replied. He wasn't defending McKenzie but it was true. He had no idea of the full extent. He looked away when Ad coughed hoping it'd stop.

When he looked back, tears formed in his eyes. She was giving up. And he hated it. "Don't you dare think negatively"

Ad sniffled. She knew Justin was right.

Ad blinked up at Justin, tears still pouring down her face. "I can't help it Justin..." she whispered, coughing again. She licked the blood off her lips and shakily stood up, facing Justin fully. "I can't do it Justin...I just can't" she whispered, hugging him again. "I'm sorry"
