Dr. Langley wrote what she said down. "Any other previous medical issues we should know about?" he asked.

Ad thought. "I have asthma, and last year I had my right leg crushed from the knee down. And when I was nine I was in a coma for a year and a half" she said. She couldn't think of much else.

Dr. Langley raised his eyebrows. This girl had been through a lot. "Okay, that's all for now. I'll be back soon to do a check up on your condition" he told her.

Ad nodded, surprised at how long she had gone without coughing. But she had spoken too soon. She coughed harshly, wiping away the blood.

Justin watched as Dr. Langley walked out the room. "That wasn't awkward" he said, his voice clearly sarcastic.

Ad sighed. "I'm not gonna comment on that"

Justin shrugged. "I made it awkward so yeah..."

Ad nodded. "Just a little bit..." she said, offering him a weak smile. She looked down again and stuffed her hands n her pockets.

Justin sighed. "Do you think I should apologise next time he comes in?" he asked. Not that he needed to ask that question.

Ad nodded. "Yeah, I think you should. Even though I agree with you, and for a minute thought he was only your age, I think you seriously offended him" she said.

"He does look younger than he is though" replied Justin.

Ad nodded. She opened her mouth to respond when a coughing fit took over. She let go of Justin's hand and coughed violently into her arm, tasing fresh blood. "Uhn...." she moaned painfully into hre arm.

Justin sighed and leant against the wall. He wished there was something he could do to help her but there wasn't.

Ad took a few deep breaths and calmed down, keeping one arm wrapped around her stomach. If she hadn't been in pain before, she as hell was now.

Justin sighed again. He honestly had no idea what to do or say so he just kept quiet.

Ad blinked away a few unwanted tears and took a deep breath. She brushed the blood away and smiled fakely at Justin. "I'm fine" she insisted. "Really"

She turned her head away and wiped sweat from her forhead with her other hand. "Okay, I'm not fine...I think I'm running a fever..." she said softly. She looked up at Justin, the look in her eyes still frightened, but not about the fact that she was in the hospital.

Justin just stayed where he was. "Let's hope the doctor figures it out soon" he replied.

Ad nodded and leaned against the wall, the cool surface feeling nice on her face.

Justin sighed. He still didn't know what on earth to do. "That doctor better hurry up" he cribbed out loud.

Ad nodded and coughed, pushing away from the wall to approach Justin and hug him. "I love you...and thank you again for staying with me" she whispered, burying her burning face against Justin's neck.

Justin managed a small smile. "I love you too and you're welcome" he replied.

Ad sniffled and felt a tear run down her cheek. "Why is it always us?" she asked softly. Even she didn't know what she meant.

Justin shrugged. "Because we're easy targets" he replied. And by that he meant they weren't exactly the strongest people in the world.

Ad sniffled. He was right. She looked at the door. "Where is he?" she asked, her voice quiet. She was dizzy again, and held onto Justin a little tighter so she wouldn't sway.

Justin shrugged. "Probably sorting ten ton of paperwork out" he replied. Wasn't that what doctors did?
