This is the official sequel to P&P. The majority of the 'old' characters know the storyline. I am afraid that no new characters are avaliable for this RP, so I am sorry but nobody new can join.

This wont be starting untill tommorow, but seeing as I had a title in my head, I sussed it would be best to open it now. Plus I would like everyone just to put up a brief character analysis and explain how their character/s have developed up to this point.

If anyone comes up with a better title, then tell me. I'd like everyone's thoughts on it, as i didn't really think about it much.

"Our problem is simply that there is no solution to our problem and I think we are both struggling to come to terms with that."

Snape pulling his arm away from her as he shifted in his seat to face Marcella. How could she say that he didn't want her; that he had never wanted her? Did she not realize how she affected him? How a simple touch or even a glance would set him on fire? That it took every ounce of self control to sit here and stay in this place rather than swoop her up and take her with him into hiding somewhere, anywhere? But, he couldn't do that to her, it was no life for such a vibrant, young, beautiful, woman. And besides, he deserved his sentence and owed it to Dumbeldore, who would no doubt find him anyway should he run off, to accept the consequences of his actions.

As much as he wanted to tell her all this, Snape knew Marcella would hear none of it. So, he looked into her expectant eyes and responded, "Anything."

"This may sound petty," she replied, sitting too to face him, her hands in her lap, her eyes only just meeting his, "But I dont want Dumbledore to think he's won. He told me it wouldn't last, that I was foolish to start this, sordid affair, as he called it, with you. He assured me that it would all end in tears hurt and pain. I want to, if just by appearances that are superficial, prove him wrong. I suppose, as odd as it sounds, that I'm asking you to accompany me tommorow to the Easter Ball. Albus thought it a good idea to hold one, he said to try and lift the spirits of the kids before they go home for the holidays. I dont suppose any of them will notice us, they'll be too wrapped up in their own pathetic social lives, but I do know that Dumbledore'll probably be watching every move I make. It's also our last chance to actually be happy." she added, as if this was a closing statement to her argument, seeming almost as if she believed she'd have to convince him before he ever entertained the idea of actually saying yes to her.

Dumbledore had pretty much told him the same things about their relationship. Though he knew the Headmaster to be right, he also had had fantasies of proving the old man, and himself, wrong. But, it would petty and could even help in further proving him right should he take Marcella and parade her around like some ornament or prize in front of all the students and staff. It would not help in their "getting over" each other should they even pretend to be "an item."

However, the idea of attending the Easter Ball at all sickened him but, he knew Albus was forcing him to attend and going with Marcella might just make it bearable. It was for this reason, if any (so he told himself) that he extended his hands, placing them over Marcella's which were folded in her lap and said, "I would be honoured to accompany you, Marcella."

"You doubted whether you should," she whispered observantly, narrowing her eyes ever so slightly. "Why?" she asked, preparing herself for another emotional onslaught.

Kristi had dinner in the Great Hall. She sat alone at the endof the table, closest to the staff table. Every once in a while she'd catch Dumbledore looking at her but, paid it no mind; continuing to eat her meal in silence as she worried that Snape would mess up the romantic evening Kristi hoped he and Marcella could have together.

Within seconds Marce had nudged further toward him on the bench and, without warning, had snuggled her head into the crook just below his shoulder and above his armpit. Closing her eyes gently, as if it were almost a natural reflex, she sighed contented and placed a soft subtle hand upon his leg, just above the knee.

Snape covered Marcella's hand with his own and squeezed her a bit with the arm he had around her. Inclining his head toward her, he lightly kissed the top of her head. It was so peaceful for the moment and he wished they could keep it that way for a little while longer.

Watching the sun sink lower, she realised that with every moment that the area around them grew darker, her heart would sink further and further. Without a shadow of a doubt, she knew this was the last time they would be alone, possibly forever. Could she survive without him, wasn't even a question that could be asked. She'd have to.

Smirking, she tilted her head ever so slightly, so that their eyes met and asked, "Are you suggesting that we dont return tonight? I didn't think you'd even entertain the thought."

"I must admit that I'm feeling rather.... rebellious," he said. He didn't think he'd entertain such a thought either but, Kristi's words pressed on his mind. If this was to be his last night as a free man...

"Rebellious?" she murmered, in mock thought, pressing a finger tip to her lips. "That's not at all like you; should one take advantage of this oppurtunity, having been caught in this rare eventuality?"

He'd actually been rather rebellious in his youth. It hadn't gotten him anywhere except in trouble. However, he was already in as much trouble as a wizard could get so, he wasn't too worried about that. Besides, hadn't Marcella told him she could make her own decisions? "If one wished to take advantage of such a situation then, one probably should, as the opportunity is not likely to present itself again," Snape responded with a smirk.

Leaning forward, a bemusing smirk on her face, she smiled, "So if one," she whispered, prodding a gentle finger into his chest, "And one.." she smiled, pointing at herself, "Equals two, then does that mean that one and one.." she whispered far quieter, pointing at the both of them again, "Should take advantage of the situation that the two are in, with one another?" She did not know why she had a grin like a chesire cat plastered over her face and she wasn't even quite sure of what she had just said or what she had meant. However she was certain that it sounded very provocative and not at all like her. Or at least, not like her of late.

Marcella was being completely nonsensical. He thought he understood exactly what she meant but, the way in which she said it... If he didn't know better, or she hadn't been perfectly coherrant not five minutes before, Snape would have supposed her drunk and would never have taken advantage of her in that position. She seemed to be merely not quite herself similarly as he was not himself with his own suggestive comments. They were going to regret this later but, pushing those thoughts from his mind, he leaned forward and tasted her lips in reply.

Completely taken aback by his movement, in sweet surprise rather than disgust, she gently closed her shocked eyes and lifted a rough hand. In her slightly drunken state, she placed it not so softly against his cheek, the tips of her fingers brushing along the familiar lines of stubble and gave back to him with another kiss, wholeheartedly.

Snape wrapped his arms around her as she returned his kiss. This was exactly what he had been dreaming of. To enfold Marcella in his arms and shield her from everything which threatened to harm her body and mind. Of course, he knew, by this very act, he would only cause her further pain. Maybe it was the wine but, his thoughts didn't dwell on it for long as he gave into his own selfish needs; there was only one thing that existed in the world at that moment and her name was Marcella. His eyes were shut and he slid a hand up her back and through her hair until he was holding the back of her head, pulling her closer.

The sheer force of the kiss, the strong lustful pull drew her in closer as she felt tugged upon. Sighing in between kisses, she stiffened and then relaxed as she felt his hand move upward her spine, every nerve running through her body tingling in both anticipation and fear. Feeling the tender stroke of his hand resting on the back of her neck, she inched forward, almost sitting on his very lap, her once firm hand now sliding from his cheek, grazing it lightly with her fingernails and trailing it down to his shoulder, all the while permanently attached to his lips, clinging on the edge of them, but not in a needy way, in wanting way, caressing his shoulder blade and smiling as she opened her eyes.

That was incredibly hard to write.

Oh but, it was beautifully written.

For just a moment he thought she might pull away and at that moment he was suprised to feel such a pull to his heart. But, she relaxed once again, inching even nearer. His heart raced as they kissed and everything around them seemed to have melted away. Their lips still touching, he opened his eyes to find Marcella had already opened hers and he smiled at her. Though he didn't wish to move from this spot, Snape knew Moody was probably lurking somewhere nearby. "We should retire to somewhere more private," he whispered in almost a growl, his voice coming from deep within his throat.

"We should." she replied, biting on her lip a little, a flush arising on her face as she found that she was in fact, propped on the edge of his knee. Casually laying her right arm over his shoulder, she sighed and admitted, "That's one thing I didn't plan for. I suppose I didn't want to be, presumptuous. But then again, I did just see that bush move," she said, pointing with a funny gaze in her eyes. "And I dont remember anything in herbology about bushes being able to move of their own accord..."
