This is the official sequel to P&P. The majority of the 'old' characters know the storyline. I am afraid that no new characters are avaliable for this RP, so I am sorry but nobody new can join.

This wont be starting untill tommorow, but seeing as I had a title in my head, I sussed it would be best to open it now. Plus I would like everyone just to put up a brief character analysis and explain how their character/s have developed up to this point.

If anyone comes up with a better title, then tell me. I'd like everyone's thoughts on it, as i didn't really think about it much.

"He could be planning for us to stay. Your teaching positions free and Kristi takes after you in potion brewing. While that'd keep her busy and happy, I don't see any future for me, here."

"It may keep her busy but, I doubt she'd be happy," Snape said, wondering how he knew this; it wasn't as if he was that close with his daughter. "She's planning on leaving with or without the Headmaster's blessing. That is why I would feel better knowing the two of you were together; you would be safer if you looked out for one another."

Kristi flopped down on her bed and stared up at the ceiling, her hands behind her head and her feet crossed. She thought about how she should be studying for NEWTs but, once again, couldn't care either way. She still didn't know what she was going to do once she got out of this place. She'd been so wrapped up in her studies and spying during her first six years that she hadn't really thought about it. This year, her sole concern was getting her father out of prison. It was only now, that the end of term drew near, that she thought about the future.

"But it's not up to you." she said, after hvaing looked out of the window, noting that many of the candles within the castle were still lit, it could not be much past midnight. "Ultimately, it's up to Dumbledore what's best. I've had to learn that the hard way. As kind as his intentions are, he's as stubborn as ever and he wont let me go without protection. Although, I don't suppose I'd mind being protected, if the order could spare a few aurors. I can't pretend I'm not worried about my father trying to get me again and I'd prefer to live away in the knowledge that I was safe." Realising she were babbling, she shook her head and laughed, "Look at me, gibbering on. I really shouldn't. It could all prove to be one ridiculous fantasy."

Snape sighed, he knew exactly what Marcella meant in regards to the Headmaster and he also knew that Dumbledore would be hard pressed to let Marcella out of his sight, especially after what had happened. Snape wondered if the old wizard had plans for Kristi or, if his daughter would be free to do as she wished. "Yes, it is probably nothing but a fantasy," he said, looking up at the castle which had been his home for most of his life.

Exiting the carriage, she wrapped her travel robe tightly around her shoulders as the night breeze kicked at her ankles and her shoulders. Motioning for him to step beside her, she pulled his arms forward and wrapped them around her waist from the behind, so that he were stood behind her. Looking up at the windows, watching flames flicker and then blow out, she sighed, wondering why she wanted to leave such a beautiful place. She then looked at Severus briefly and closed her eyes, knowing why. As captivating as this place was, it just held too many painful memories. Sighing, she leaned in closer and relaxed, running a hand down her arm.

He stepped out of the carriage beside Marcella and allowed her to pull his arms about her waist. As she leaned in, he tightened his grip and closed his eyes, kissing the top of her head. "If only they could stay this way forever," he found himself thinking.

"We should get inside," he whispered, reluctantly.

"We should." she said, echoing his declaration butnot making a conscious effort to move. Instead, she held him tighter and continued to look upward, toward the sparkling stained glass windows as the thestrals pulled the carriage away from them, leaving them no means of going back.

Snape felt her arms tighten around him. He shared her reluctance but, there was nothing to be gained delaying the inevitable. He kissed the top of her head once more and then, twisted her around so that she was facing him. He kissed her, briefly, and then, moved to walked inside.

Taking his offered hand, she reluctantly walked toward the castle and opened the wooden vast doors. It creaked unusually in the gloomy darkness and she was surprised to see that Dumbledore was not waiting for them.

Snape was surprised to note the Headmaster's absence and hesitated for a moment after the doors swung shut behind them, causing an echoing boom in the deserted entrance hall. He scanned the shadows out of habit, looking for anything out of place before slowly walking toward the staircase which led down to the Slytherin dungeons.

For a few moments, Marcella had stood still, in stunned silence at how empty the hall was. Seconds later, she rushed forward and, knowing no-one else was there, she slipped her hand into his as they headed down toward the dungeons. She bit her lip in hurried thought as she tried to think of a way to leave him for her Kristi's quarters, or whether to actually leave him at all.

They walked in silence, Marcella slipping her hand in his. He held onto that hand as if it were a lifeline and as the doors to his office and quarters came into view, he wondered if he should lead Marcella through the office in order to get into Kristi's quarters. It would be too tempting not to let her go if he allowed her to enter his private rooms.

Kristi looked over at the clock on her desk. It was midnight and she still hadn't heard from her father or Marcella. She smiled as she thought that they were able to spend this time together. SHe hoped they'd make the most of it, pushing all thoughts about Snape being her father and Marcella being her friend and many years his junior. She needed some happy thoughts and clung to the thought that at least the two of them could be happy for even just this one night, as she extinguished the lights and closed her eyes, waiting for sleep to overtake her.

Reading his thoughts, she clung to his hand tightly and nodded her head toward the office. Using her free hand, she held the door knob firmly before turning it and entering, closing the door behind them and pulling him closer to her, failing to note that not a single candle was lit in the room.

He entered the office and as the door clicked shut, they were enveloped in darkness. He was going to move to light a lamp but, Marcella pulled him closer and he wrapped his arms around her, without thinking. If he had been in another state of mind, his reactions without thinking would have disturbed him, greatly. But, as it was, all Snape could think of at the moment was Marcella.

She was caught between two options. Light a lamp and alert Kristi to their return, or embrace him further and stay relatively silent in the comforting darkness. Unsure of waht to do, she merely leaned her head upon his chest sidewards, eyes flicking about in the darkness, paranoid that Kristi will have heard them despite not having lighted a candle.

Just as she drifted off to sleep, Kristi was aroused by sounds coming from Snape's office. It sounded like a door opening and closing but, why would the door to his office be opening and closing? Afraid some student had gone and broken in to steal potions ingredients or cause mischief, Kristi quietly picked up her wand from her bedside table and crept over to the door on the side of the room next to the office.

Taking extra care, so that she didn't betray herself to whoever it was (her identity still being secret- she didn't want them wondering what she was doing here). Kristi slowly pushed the door open a crack and she could just about make out two figures, embracing. She breathed a sigh of relief and opened the door the rest of the way. "You're in the wrong room," she said, laughing. "Unless, you were planning something kinky, in which case, I don't want to know about it."

Gently, she caressed his jawline with her index finger, tracing the small amount of stubble upon it. Her ears pricked up, she felt sure someone else was in the room. Diverting her eyes, she saw Kristi and laughed at what the girl said, adding, with a giggle, "I think your dad is a bit old for anything kinky..." she joked, only realising afterward that maybe reminding Kristi that she was embracing her dad, might not be a good idea.

Snape turned as Marcella spoke to the newcomer in the room. He sneered at the comments the two were making and slipped slightly away from Marcella's grasp.

"Now you've gone and insulted him," Kristi laughed, pointing at the disgruntled Snape, trying not to dwell on how disturbing this entire scene was. Catching her father with her best friend in a compromising situation was never on her list of things that she wanted to be doing. Yes, she wanted them happy; but, that didn't mean she wanted to witness it. SO, why was she still here joking about it?

Picking up on the awkward tension that seemed to making itself more and more obvious, she coughed a little and then withdrew her hand from his. Stepping up on the tips ofher toes, she kissed the cheek that Kristi could not see and whispered, "I'll come back later." before breaking her lips away from his cheek and standing away from him entirely. Removing her robe and slinging it on a stand, she turned to Kristi, dusting her hands and added, "I hope you don't mind, but now that I'm out of danger, so to speak, I don't need to stay in the hospital wing anymore. And, now that your father is back, his quarters should rightfully be his again. Would you mind awfully if you I wanted to share your quarters?"

"Of course," Kristi replied, relieved that Marcella and Snape weren't quite so close. "Just come on in when you're ready."

With that, Kristi turned her back on the two, in order to give them some privacy and walked into her room. She left the door open so Marcella could come in without thinking she needed to knock. As she lit a lamp, she noticed books and potions paraphenalia were strewn all over the small room, not to mention the two piles of clothing: one for dirty robes and one for robes she'd only worn once and could be worn again.

Kristi flicked her wand and the books reshelved themselves. Another flick and the clothing was neatly tucked away in a cupboard. That left the potions stuff and the box of ashes she'd saved from when Darrin had burned her wand. It was a terribly sentimental thing to do and Kristi hated herself for doing it but, she just couldn't bare to part with her first wand and the one physical memory of Darrin which was left to her.

With one flick of her eyes, she smiled and shoved him lightly in the chest, mouthing the word, "Go!" before turning her back on him. Looking once over her shoulder at, a small smile playing at the corner of her lips, she slipped in through the door and greeted Kristi with a casual "Hi." frowning at what looked to be a pile of ashes.

Seeing Marcella's eyes flick to her open box of ashes, she quickly but casually shut the lid and slid the box under her bed. "Hey," she said, turning her attention to the potions stuff, carefully placing the items and ingredients back into their places by hand. "I just have to clean the rest of this stuff up and we can conjure up a second bed."

Snape gave Marcella's back a querying look before leaving the room and going back to his quarters. He had a feeling that he hasn't seen the last of Marcella tonight.

Sitting on the bed that was already there, cross legged, she studied Kristi as sh nervously hovered around, tidying the room and giggled, "I'm not royalty, you know. You don't need to clean up just for me. You're forgetting that I had to spend the majority of this term in Snape's quarters and he is the least tidiest person on this planet. I don't even think he knows what a broom is."
