Hey everyone! I’m Ashley for those of you who don’t know me. I have been gone for a while but now I’m back and have decided to start another RP!!!!
Its Christmas themed so just hang with me!

Twas the night.....

The Holly Home is a home that was started for the students of Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang to go when they can’t go home for Christmas. Whether you don’t feel like going home, your parents don’t want you to go home, or you have no home to go to the Holly Home is open.

Mrs. Pinkler is the old woman who created and takes care of Holly Home. She is the old grandmotherly type that everyone loves.

This year Mrs. Pinkler finished getting everything ready for all of the students to come. Everyone arrived and was having the times of their lives. Until one night, the children found Mrs. Pinkler dead. Not only was she dead but she was murdered. They knew for a fact that no one that other than the children had been in the home. Who had done it.....

Noah could feel the passion behind that kiss. It was so overwhelming, she couldn't even believe it. She felt Ian pulling away and resisted the urge to make a whimpering sound. Instead she just stayed quiet. She could feel herself breathing heavily as she met his eyes. Slowly she brought one of her arms down from his neck, leaving the other one exactly where it was, and place her now free hand on his cheek. Stroking it slightly with her thumb.

Ian's breath was still coming ragged as she put one of her hands on his cheek and began stroking it lightly. His own hand moved from Noah's jaw to the back of her own neck, holding itself within her soft hair. And somehow, his thoughts moved to Carter downstairs. What would happen to their friendship now? I'm sorry I put you in this position, he whispered.

Noah stayed exactly as she was. She didn't feel like moving. Ever. Then she heard what Ian said and all of the sudden she was back in reality. Carter was right downstairs. What was she going to do? She had no idea. She let out a little sign. "Its okay" She said very quietly. 'i'll" She paused. "I'll figure out what to do" She said more to herself than to him. What was she going to do. Things were so much more complicated.

Ian swallowed hard and finally pulled back from Noah, though his eyes never left her. He didn't want her to have to figure out what to do - Carter was probably his best friend, and he had just met Noah, and that sure didn't make it fair. I can't.... Carter.... he whispered before shaking his head.

But then she regained some of her power and brushed the tears away. "But...but that's no reason to ignore your emotions forever. I'm sure...I'm sure you're mother and father would not have wanted you to be like this..." She trailed off, and then finally broke their gaze and looked out at the snow covered mass in front of them. She had lost her mother and father as well, but it was a different story. But perhaps she should let Finn know, since he had poured his heart out to her.

Noah watched as Ian pulled back and shook his head. Noah had feelings for both of them. Before this she would have told you her feelings for Carter were stonger but now she wasn't sure anymore. She knew this was wrong. It was completely wrong. She couldn't have both, she couldn't put them both in that situation. She had held such a strong stanture with Ian up here but all of the sudden that was gone. She felt her head fall down into her hands. "I don't know what to do" She whispered. She wasn't even sure if it was audible. Part of her hoped that Ian hadn't heard.

Finn watched Izzy as he told her everything. As he saw the tears well up in her eyes and slowly fall down her cheeks he felt himself reaching up to wipe them away. "Don't cry" He told her. It wasn't worth her tears. He had come to terms with what had happened with his parents. He didn't want Izzy to feel that taste of his pain from so long ago. Then he heard what she said. "Izzy its not a burden for me to keep in my emotions. Its become natural for me. Its my way of coping with things" He told her. It was true. He wouldn't recommend his way to people, no he knew it probably wasn't healthy. But he had learned how to manage it.

Ian couldn't hear exactly what Noah said, but he heard a few words of it and could pretty much fill in the blanks. He tried to swallow again, but it wasn't working very well. It's selfish to make you be the one to choose, he whispered. I don't want you to have to; I give up.

Noah listened to what Ian was saying. She couldfeel a tear whelling up in her eyes. She tried extremely hard to keep it from coming down her face. Merlin she wished that it were that simple. Finally she looked up at Ian. "How are we supposed to go down there and pretend that everything is normal and nothing happened up here?" She paused for a second. "How am I supposed to go down there with him and just forget about all feelings I have you?" Why was there not a simple answer here.

Ian was breathing through his teeth, finally tearing his gaze from Noah as she spoke. He shook his head once in reply to her words. It won't be easy, but.... he gulped softly once, ....but I won't let this screw up anything with anybody. And he wasn't just talking about him and Carter anymore.

All that Noah could do was sit there. She was trying to take this all in. How in the world was she going to do this. Ian was practically saying that he chose Carter for her. How was she supposed to go down there with him and hide all feelings for Ian. Noah had no idea what to. Somehow though she didn't like the idea of Ian just choosing for her. After everything that had just happened between them. Before she even realized what she was doing Noah felt herself look up to Ian with pleading eyes "you just let me in, how can you already be pushing me away?" her voice was quiet. She hadn't planned on saying that it had been impulsive but yet she didn't regret it.

Carter nodded at Robert's question. "I've been wondering the same thing, my friend... and I don't like any of the answers I came up with," he said quietly. He looked up at Robert's second question and shrugged. "Well, we honestly didn't know much about her... think about it. We saw her during Winter Breaks, some during summer- but did anyone really know her? For all we knew, behind the sweet kind exterior, there could have been a darkness none of us could fathom." He didn't believe any of what he had just said- but it was a possibility that had to be considered.

Mrs.Pinkler having a dark and bad background,horrible enough for her enemy to murder her? he thought and a shiver went down his spine.He couldnt somehow take in the words and imagine Mrs.Pinkler to be someone like they just thought right now.

Robert had missed what Carter and Isabella spoke but again got back to listening to them just in time to hear Carter saying that it surely seems to be like a murder.
Robert sighed at the conclusion drawn but he couldnt do anything but second on what Carter was saying and what Isabella and he had discussed earlier.

"There has to be a reason... and I'm going to find it," he said, his jaw set and a determined look in his eye. "Did either of you notice anything strange last night?" he asked, looking over at Robert and Isabella. He had been a little focused on a certain individual, but he couldn't let that distract him from the investigation.

Robert looked at Carter as he spoke and nodded.He agreed with him on finding out who and what was the reason for this incident.
Robert rewound his last day as Carter asked him for anything strange happening anywhere.
After a lot of thought Robert looked at Carter and shook his head
sorry,mate.No,i didnt find anything weird or strange happening? he said.
Robert looked at Isabella to see if she did find anything weird,but he doubted that because she had slept earlier then the rest of them.He himself had dropped her off at the corridor leading to her room.

Ian blinked back the tears that were trying to betray him by leaving his eyes, and he very nearly lost - he was such a baby! I'm not pushing you away, he whispered, pulling Noah into a hug to emphasize the point. We don't have to be together for you to be past the wall, Noah.

As Carter asked them both if they'd seen anything strange the night before and Robert turned for her answer after he'd already done so, she shook her head in Carter's direction. I sleep like a rock. I didn't even wake up when Noah screamed this morning, she said with a small shiver.

Noah could feel the tears welling up in her eyes. Why was this so emotional for her. Why did it even matter. They were both just guys, she had never been in this kind of situation before. She let Ian pull her into a hug and she rested her head on his shoulder. Slowly she let herself nod her head. "i know, I just had no clue that this would be as hard as it is" She told him. She didn't know what else to do. Ian was right they couldn't do this to Carter, and it didn't mean that they had to be together in order for him to let her in. "Its not going to be easy hiding the feelings that I have for you" She told him almost in a whisper.

Ian let a small, very small smile cross his lips at Noah's words and he gave her another small squeeze. You'll do fine - and besides, come a few days from now, you might even have the pleasure of stronger feelings for my good friend Carter than me, he said with a chuckle, though he didn't find it funny at all. He was doing what was best for all three of him. Ian could go back to being sarcastic except with Noah, he and Carter would still be friends, and most importantly, she would be safe.

Izzy smiled as he rubbed her arm, and nudged him a bit. "Well, we don't you freezing either, do we?" She added with a slight giggle. She walked through the open door and took the coat off, hanging it on a hook neearby. Then she rubbed her hands together, trying to get warm. "Where is everyone?" She said softly, peeking into the living room. Ahh, there they were.

Noah stayed there with her head on Ian's shoulder. She didn't want to move. She liked it right here where she was. At his words Noah suppressed what was meant to be a small laugh. When in all reality it was more like she was exhaling a lot of air. "Everything would be so simple if that were the case" She told him. Right now she didn't know who she had more feelings for out of the two of them. If she knew, well then she wouldn't be in this little predicament that she was in at the moment.

Ian sighed and pulled back from her finally; he was far too comfortable where he was with Noah and that wouldn't help anything. He'll grow on you, I swear, he said with an encouraging smile that he couldn't manage to keep on his face for more than a couple of seconds before it fell once more. Grrrr....

Noah resisted the urge to sigh as Ian pulled away from her. That was it their moment of them had ended. Ian and Noah were not together, nor would they ever be. No matter what objections she had Noah knew it was the right thing. She just hoped she didn't come to regret this. All that Noah could do as she heard Ian say that he would grow on her was look at him. It wasn't that he needed to grow on her. Noah had a lot of feelings for Carter already. It was just he wasn't the only one that she had feelings for.

Ian could hardly stand the way Noah was looking at him. Ever second she did so, another piece of his heart broke off. He brought one hand up to stroke her cheek softly and whispered, It will be alright, my dear. He leaned forward and kissed her forehead once softly before pulling back.

Finn gave Izzy a smile as she nudged him. He was glad that their serious conversation was now over, well for the time being. As he walked in the house with her he noticed that the room was empty as well. "I'm not sure" He said to her. "Come on lets check the kitchen" He said placing his hand on her back to lead her into the kitchen. As they entered he saw Robert, Isabelle, and Carter sitting in there.

Noah could see the pain in Ian's eyes. She knew that this was harder than he let on. Part of her hated how he had chosen to do the right thing, but then again she knew that it was the best option. Without even thinking about it Noah felt herself leaning into his hand as he stroked her cheek, and then his lips were on her forehead. She closed her eyes until she felt him pull back. After a second she finally opened them. "I'm holding you to that" She told him, attempting to smile. It didn't work out so well.
