Something strange is going on in Hogwarts. The magical staircases have malfunctioned. Whenever a student steps off the stairs, they end up somewhere in the future! Because of this, Dumbledore has decided to close the school until he can rectify the situation.

Rose, Lily, Hugo, James, and Albus end up staying behind, because their parents are away working and can’t come back. A few other students are in the same predicament. Dumbledore has told them to stay on the lower levels of the castle, and to avoid the stairs at all costs. However, the students get bored and decide to go on a little adventure.

This RP follows their adventures through the future, but what happens if they can’t get back, or if they even want to go back?

She was about to scream.She looked at him and walked closer to him.Why wasnt he getting any of this.Was he just think or in denial.She knew which one was the right one.And she was going to finish this now and for all.

She frowned at him."You just dont get it do you?"she said,her cheeks flushing a little."Maybe I want to waste my time on you.."she said,"I dont want to do better.."she said to him."I like the mysterious,sometimes arrogant,smirky,ignorant childish boy you are.."she said,"Im not stupid..and bright.. so I would understand.."shen said

"Stop acting like your not bothered,and stop acting like you dont care.."she said,"and stop lying to yourself..stop it.."she said,"Just Stop It!!"she said,shouting.Her chest rising and falling very quickly.Her voice echoed around the room.

Everything that she was saying hit home with him, it really did. BUt honetly at this point Stefan had her best interest at heart. She didn't need him. He was not the person that she needed to be with. "I know you think you understand but you don't. You don't realize what I would do to you. You wouldn't ever be happy with me" He said to her. "Maybe you don't realize that now, but you will thank me for this one day." He said to her.

Right about now he wasn't sure if they were both talking about just being able to be friends or actually having feelings for each other. From the sounds of it, it was the latter. He was such an idiot. He should have never even acknowledged her. It would have saved them both all this trouble. "You dont' like me. You like who you think I am, but thats not me" He said to her.

Then he did something drastic. He walked over to her and pulled her strongly into his arms and kissed her. He felt something. There was definately something there. The kiss was strong and hard, but there was passion behind it. Then he pulled out of it. "See nothing, I didn't feel anything" which was a lie, "and you didn't feel anything either. Now will you quit lying to yourself and just go back over to Jack and quit worrying about me" He said sternly trying not to think about the kiss.

Issy almost growled at him."Why dont I understand..?"she said to him,"Because Im a girl..because everything looks 'peachy' and fine on the outside.."she said quoting his words.What makes you think you understand me..and what I want a need.."she said to him."Im in the now.. not in the future.."she said to him

She was getting agrovated with him,he didnt see anything that was so obviously clear to any normal person."Who are you then..tell me..honestly.."she said,"who are you Stefen?"she said

She wasnt even thinking of kissing him,but he seemed to be thinking of kissing her.She felt like the word seemd to get a whole lot hotter within the next few seconds.She felt his passion come through in the kiss.He had just given away the biggest detail of him."Shh.."she said to him.Her heart was going ten to a dozen.

"Stop telling me what I feel and I dont.."she said,"And look me in the eye and tell me you dont feel a thing..If you honestly didnt feel a thing..Illl leave you alone.."she said to him,moving closer to him,"But if you did feel something.."she said,stroking his soft cheek,"Then stop lying to yourself..I know what I am and how I feel..its just you.."she said,almost whispering,her chest pounding

She was getting very angry now. Stefan could see that. She was losing it and he hated that he was making her that upset. He didnt answer her question but simply just looked at her. His face was still cold. But he was surprised. She was still trying to figure him out. Why couldn't she just give up. It would be sooo much easier for her, sure it would hurt him but it would be better for her. THats what he had to keep thinking about.

He had to tell her he didn't feel anything. he just had to. But Stefan had never been a lier, and he coudlnt' start now. But he was going to have to. But then as she moved closer he felt himself leaning into her hand as she stroked his cheek. "Isabelle, I can't" He said to her quietly. "I just can't" It was true. She deserved better than him. She deserved someone like Jack. Not him.

Issy sighed,at his cold expressionless deatiledless face.She didnt know why he wouldnt let her in,he'd just kissed her,and she'd felt more in the past few minutes than she had in 3 years.She looked down,taking her hand away.She knew he wasnt going to let anyone in,not even her,as soft and as caring as she was.

She looked at him once more,"Your never going to let anyone in are you.."she said, to him,half smiling,lifting up and kissing him once more.She half smiled again,"Im sorry Stefen..if I caused you any trouble or pain.."she said,but she knew she was the one who was hurting right now.He thought he was doing this for her own good,but he was infact hurting her more.

She turned away from him,not wanting to upset or waste anymore of his time.Her eyes were glassy from the tears that had just pricked up.She shook her head and rubbed her eyes of the tears,dispite them falling.

Stefan watched as she finally gave in. He should have felt triumph. He should have been happy he didn't have to worry about her anymore and that she wouldn't be hurt by him anymore. He should have gone on and been happy. But he wasn't he felt defeated. He didn't want to lose her and that was excactly what he was doing. She had given in and gave up, but he wanted her to keep trying. He wanted to be able to show himself to her. So why couldn't he.

He felt like his legs were about to give away. He backed up against one of the walls and slowly slid down so that he was litting resting his arms on his knees. He was looking down at the ground trying to avoid looking towards Isabelle. BUt he couldn't stop himself. He looked over to her and saw her wiping away tears. What had he done to her. He had hurt her. Why did he have to kiss her. if he hadn't this never would have happened. All he wanted to do was take her into his arms and tell her everything was going to be alright. But he couldn't bring himself to do it. "Issy" He whispered. She probably hadn't heard him and that was probably best but he still had said it.

Issy felt like a string had broken,and something had snapped.She felt like something had disappeared or been torn away.She didnt like that feeling.She didnt like the cold,and she felt cold.It was as if all the warmth had gone,and her happiness had somehow fanished.She didnt know what she'd done,or said.She new she shouldnt have said anything in the first place.She knew she shouldnt have wanted to talk to him,or wanted to know him.She was letting herself slip,and she was hurting.

Issy sniffed a little and rubbed her eyes.Why was she even crying.She knew why she was crying.Because she'd tried to befriend the beast,and the beauty gotten shouted at and pushed away.She had been pushed away from any part of him.Her thoughts made new tears stream.She heard his voice.Softly,gentle.His voice in all the silence."I tried.."she whispered,her voice breaking.

Stefan had never felt like this before. He had finally found someone that he would have been able to call a friend, someone who he was willing to let in. Someone that he truely liked being around. And now because he was an arrogant idiot he had lost her. The only one that he had felt comfortable around since he had lost his parents. The only one that made him feel. And now he was feeling pain. More pain than he had felt in a long time.

He was still watching her. She was crying harder now. They had had a connection and he had broken it. The cord that had held them together that he hadn't realized was there was gone now and both of them could feel it. Then he heard her words. She sounded so empty and broken and that was all because of him. He got up from his place on the ground. he coudlnt' stand to see her hurt. He had to give in, give in to the part of himself that wanted to get out.

He walked over to her. He put his arms around her and leaned his head down on top of hers. He didn't say anything, he didn't know what to say. BUt he coudlnt' stand to see her like this he had to do something to stop her pain.

Issy had had her fair share of tearing the heart out moments,but nothing compared to this.This boy,she didnt know what he was.He was something that had had a big effect on her,her feelings her words her emotions her actions.Something which he had a hold on.She just wanted to cut him loose.She didnt want to feel anymore.Why couldnt she be like him,with no care or emotion.

She knew what it was like to loose someone,someone you cared for.She had gotten stronger,but meeting this boy,had shown her what lying to yourself for years or months can do to you.She wanted to help him or talk to him,just be there for him.But he didnt realise how alone you can be when life moves on.

She had feelings for this boy,and that was true.

She felt something warm,something comforting,something she just didnt want to let go of,wrap his arms around her body,and pulled her close."Let me in Stefen.."she whispered against his chest."Tell me.."she said,moving back enough to look up at him into his eyes."You can let me.."she said,stroking his cheek softly once more.

Stefan felt her against him. His head was spinning. He felt the pain slipping away. With her in his arms everything was all right. All the pain he had been feeling, from loosing her, from loosing his parents. Everything was okay. Or at least it felt like it was going to be okay.

He didn't want her to leave his arms. He didn't want to loose the feeling of the pain being gone. He didn't want it to come back. He looked down at her, meeting her eyes. He had to look away from her. He knew that she could read him. there werent' tears in his eyes but the pain was there. He didn't say anything. This was the hardest thing he had done in a long time. He had never let down the wall for anyone and now she was penetrating it.

Issy knew she was getting through,she could tell in his painful eyes.There were a million things rushing around in his head.She could see because of those painful memories in his eyes.She knew that his parents had died,but he'd never really touched on it.

She realised that his parents might be partly the reason for the wall.She she stood up tall on her tip toe and kissed his forehead gently."Tell me about your parents?"she said,knowing that he probably hadnt talked about them alot to anyone,if not ever.

maybe you should go back. obviously you dont want to see whats wronge with the staires and thats fine but you cant stop us. Leena said looking as Rose grabbed Hugos hand and started to try and pull him back to the common room

Laughing at the look on Roses face, Hugo grinned down at her. "Yeah, but he's like, a firstie, right?!" he exclaimed, scoffing at the idea of an eleven year old loose in Ancient Room. Besides, Rose couldn't really order anyone about, except for him, cuz she was his sister. But he wouldn't listen to her.

Hearing her next comment, his eyes lit up. "Besides, I want MY face on a vase. Or a big statue, or a plate, or a....." Trailing off, Hugo grinned helplessly at his sister.

"Why thank you Leena!" Hugo gasped as he gave a small bow. "I think that that's a compliment, right?" His brow was frurred, as he was slightly confused. Shrugging, his goofy grin reappeared.

"Oi, woman!" Hugo shouted as Rose grabbed his hand. "Eww! INSEST!" That touch was enough to make him stumble, this time backwards. Hugo ended up sitting on the stairs. Jumping up, he ran a hand through his dark curls. "Besides, if we did go together, my dear sister" Hugo shuddered at these words "Our little Prefect, budding next years Head Girl, you sure you don't want to come? Cuz then if we do get stuck somewhere, you can help, right?!"

Ginning up at his sister, he grabbed Leenas hand. "No time like the present, though, right?!"

Stefan could tell that Issy was trying to get through to him. That made it all alittle more tollerable, but at the same time he was hurting more than he had in years. But some how she was getting through.

He felt her delecate lips on his forehead and then her touch on his face. "Carter and Meradith" He said to her. He hadn't said the names in years and it sent a chil up his spine. He backed up like he had done earlier and sat down against the corridor wall again. Then he looked back up at her. "They" He paused. "They were having a rocky marrige and were fighting over my well being." He told her. "They got into an argument and then a duel, and well you can probably guess what happened after that" He explained as he looked down at the ground not wanting to meet her gaze.

Issy knew he was starting to give in.She could see it in his eyes,the determination in his eyes was fading slowly and the true colours seemed to be appearing.His eyes were a soft colour,and they were becoming filled with Pain and agony.

She listened to him talk about his parents.He told her there names,so that was a break through.She heard him take a breath before he spoke any words at all.He sat on the floor like he'd done before.Something about this story wasnt right,and she'd heard what it was,once he'd said how they both died.They'd had a duel..against eachother...

She frowned at him."They..?-"she said,stopping herself.She took a sharp breath in and then stood straight.She bent down slowly,coming to his height.She looked into his eyes."Stefen .. "she said,"You cant blame yourself.."she said, to him softly."I know thats stupid to say,but you cant blame yourself.."she said,"I dont know them..I hardly know you.."she said,"But you shouldnt blame yourself..and by putting your wall up..you close any chance of coming to terms with that.."she said,stroking his cheeks softly.

She had a tear in her eye,of pure sorrow and pain for Stefen.She hadnt realised it was this bad

Three second wait. One.....Two......Three. He opened his eyes and let out a sigh of relief, he wasnt dead.

No portraits were occupied. He could tell from his next couple of steps across more portraits. "Issy." He whispered as he took another couple of steps. No answer, he whipped round on a foot and rolled his eyes.

They were not kissing! They were. "Helloooooo, we could be in danger and like.. eugh." He sighed, leaving them to their now unlocked lips and conversation that he couldnt make out. They had five minutes. That was all he was giving them. All of it. He was going to be brave and look at some more empty portraits.

"Oh do grow up Hugo!" Rose shot back at his exclamation at incest. She was trying to help them. As both Hugo and Leena sat down, along with Lily stood by them, Rose knew that she was going to be in so much trouble, and as Hugo had said, she did want to be Head Girl, and her actions would most definitely put that at risk.

Resigning to the fact she couldn't leave her little brother, she too sat down on the bottom step and crossed her arms. She looked up at him, "Someone's got to look after you. You're obviously incapable." She concluded, pointing at his laces - the whole reason he had scared her to death before.

Stefan kept looking at the ground. He could tell that she had not been expecting that. No body ever really would have expected that. He should have just told her that his parents had gotten sick or been in some kind of accident. But she had asked for the truth.

he met her eyes, and could see a tear running down them. He lifted his hand up to her cheek and wiped it away gently. "But Issy it is my fault. It was because of me that they got into that fight" He said to her and looked down at the ground again.

Then he reached up and took her hands away from his face and set them down in her lap so that they weren't touching. Then he looked up at her. "See this is why i told you that you didn't need to be with me. I will only cause you harm" And the truth was he was afraid of loosing her like he lost his parents. He would do something and it would turn out badly for her. He was sure of it. "So you need to go back over there with Jack. just forget about me" He told her finally.

Then it hit him. Jack was still in the room. He could only imagine what all of this looked like to him. He glanced over at the boy to see annoyance on his face. Well that was to be expected. He didn't excactly get the feeling that Jack approved of him, persay.

Issy knew that he was going through some pain,even though she couldnt relate to it,she new it was hard and it was tough to face.She looked at him.He was taking and when he took her hands and put them in her lap again,she knew he might say he was going to let someone in,and he might,just not all the way.

She didnt know what to do,every second she was with him,she was falling for him even more.Something about the way he made her feel when she was around him.It made her feel safe.But that didnt matter,and it wouldnt anymore.She nodded and sighed,putting both hands together.

"Ok."she said,"If you want to believe all of that.."she said."Theres nothing I can do or say to change your mind is there.."she said,"I think I get it now.."she said to him,as she moved away from him,wiping her own tears away.

She looked at him."I wont bother you again.."she said to him,with a small smile.

She walked over to sit with Jack."I give up.."she said to him,closing her eyes and leaning on him

Jack sighed inwardly. Looking at empty portraits wasnt fun, especially when you had no idea where they portait people had gone, and where the rest of the group had gone. He slumped slightly to the floor and leant his head back, colliding it lightly with the wall. He glanced over at the other two and realised Issy was walking towards him. He gave her a tiny smile as she sat down with him and watched as she leant her head on him. "Give up on what?" He paused for a moment to think and then mentally slapped his forehead, he knew what she had gave up on.

And he didnt really disagree with her.

Stefan opened his mouth to say something, something to keep her there. Something that would keep her with him and make everything okay once and forall. But he stopped himself.

He had fallen for her. Every bone in his body told him to get up and chase after her, but he couldn't. What he had said to her before was true. She needed to forget about him. He would only cause her trouble. Sure it would hurt both of them, but she would eventually get over it. In the end, he was doing the right thing. He was keeping her safe.

But he could see just how much it was hurting her to walk away. It hurt him just as much to watch her go. To see her walk back to Jack and say that she had given up on him. That hurt too, the one person that showed him compassion and care had given up on him. But maybe that was best. Jack would take care of her. Stefan was doing the right thing. But if it was the right thing why didn't it feel like it.

He burried his head into his arms waiting for the two of them to leave. He didn't want to keep watching her. It would only hurt more. Just let her leave. He kept repeating that to himself. Its for the best. He never looked up, only listened for footsteps that showed that shew as forgetting about him just as he had asked her to do.

"Why thank you Leena!" Hugo gasped as he gave a small bow. "I think that that's a compliment, right?" His brow was frurred, as he was slightly confused. Shrugging, his goofy grin reappeared.

"Oi, woman!" Hugo shouted as Rose grabbed his hand. "Eww! INSEST!" That touch was enough to make him stumble, this time backwards. Hugo ended up sitting on the stairs. Jumping up, he ran a hand through his dark curls. "Besides, if we did go together, my dear sister" Hugo shuddered at these words "Our little Prefect, budding next years Head Girl, you sure you don't want to come? Cuz then if we do get stuck somewhere, you can help, right?!"

Ginning up at his sister, he grabbed Leenas hand. "No time like the present, though, right?!"

Leena looked up at Rose, Leena had never thought of Rose as one to give into peer pressure, but there she was, giving in. "So let me get this straight," Leena stood up, releasing her hand from Hugos lightly "Your brother trips and you agree to go but at the thought of people disappearing you cower in the common room?" Leens shook her head in distaste. "whatever" She sat back down and took hold of Hugos hand again and this time grabbed Roses with her free hand. "Lets go!" She stood up yanking Hugo with her. "Which step first?" She looked around at Hugh, Lily, Rose, and Hugo, the only people actually paying attention to what has happening.

Hugh closed his eyes, waved his hand around, and when he opened it was pointing at a random step. "Let's go on this one!" He said, pointing at the step and looking at everyone but Hugo, Lily, Rose, and Leena. "You all aren't scared to go, are you?" He asked them, smirking.
