I needed to have a new pirate RP haven't made one in awhile!!

"A WHAT?!?!"
"A test Mr. Potter. To see if you can survive without your wands in an unusual situation" Professor Binns said as he floated towards the front of the classroom once again.
"It might be fun Harry to travel back in time" Hermione whispered as she scanned the project outline.
"Ms. Granger is quite right" He drolled. "Look on the top of page one and you will see the summary of your project. Ms Granger you will read the paragrahs following Summary"
Hermione nodded. "Your group of four people will travel back in time to a specified period without your wands for the spring term. You will be forced to find lodging and work and fight your way through your period of time and when you return at the start of term your seventh year a full 6 sheet report is due for a grade" Hermione said slowly.
"Exactly now look on the back page and see your group mates and where you will be" Professor Binns said slowly.
Hermione bit her lip and turned the page over scanning it for their names. "Harry, you me Ron...and....guess who? MALFOY" she said with utter disgust. "we are going to be.....in Taelic City...we are going to be pirates!"

Okay if you don't get it yet this is a pirate RP. Harry,Hermione,Ron, and Draco are going to be transported to a city i made up where Pirates are well known. They will be forced to learn how to live without their wands for a full term. So the only thing they can do is work at a dock. Thats where they hear of the notorious David Oiellete captain of the sea, Pilaging and Plundering all he likes. So Hermione being the smart one talks Harry and Ron into joining this man's crew so that they could add it to their report for a better grade. After having to drag Draco aboard of course!! They get on board just fine and join the crew forced to do the things that the other crew members just really dont want to do. Hermione being the only girl is worked the hardest. She refuses to give up and continues to work her hardest.

Artemis glanced around. "It was Harry the one with the scar" she said slowly. She smirked and glanced at Hermione as she worked. "Maybe she is tricky I dont know she just needs to learn to keep her mouth shut and learn" she said slowly. She finished on the mast and and turned around. "I think we should be good unless the wind picks up capt'n" she yelled up to him.

From her seat, Danielle could hear Sintra and Artemis talking. She rolled her eyes, and stood up. Gossips, she thought irritably, heading for the main mast, and avoiding eyecontact with everyone.

"I'll take first watch." She mumbled, and began to climb the rigging of the main mast, heading for the platform up top. It took her about half the time it took most of the crew. Once out of earshot of everyone, she laid down, curling herself around the mast to avoid the ledges, and hooked her legs up over them, so they hung down, visible to anyone wondering who was up top.

Her eyes were fixed on the clouds over head, if they needed her to tie off anything, she'd hear. They just needed to be loud, everyone knew it. Being up there suited her fine. She'd watch, see if a storm was heading in....

"Mates... lets get going to Tortuga!!!" She heard a familiar deep voice shout, a glare appeared on her face, and she was glad to be alone. She didn't look down, she didn't need to. She knew she'd first see Captain Ouellette at the wheel--

No, don't even start Dani! She ordered herself glumly, her frown deepening.

The only good thing about Tortuga, in Dani's opinion, was that she could get off the ship. She hated the residents of the ridiculously small island. She hated the men assuming she worked at the brothel, the women's curious stares. Dani heaved a sigh, trying to calm herself down, to not think about it.

Sintra saw Dani as she went to the mast. She's a really great girl Sintra thought. Real nice. Maybe she could help me get together with--what are you sayin--thinking. Christian is too busy with Granger. She scrunched her nose at the thought of Christian with that bushy~haired freak.
"Dum.....pid.....Cap....tho...," she began to mutter incoherently.

Chris turned, watching Dani climb up the main mast, and fold herself down into the platform up there. He could see her bare feet from the knee down, hanging over the edge. The typical signal that it was her up there. Dani, he knew, would spend most of the day up top. She preferred being the one to fix the sails to having to deal with all the females on the ship. A fond smile touched his lips, and he turned away, heading towards the side of the boat.

Once he reached his destination, Chris sat down, his bare back to the warped wood, and reached into the pocket of his pants. He pulled out a chunk of wood, a chunk of wood that had some pieces taken out of it, but the shape was yet to be defined. His second hand fell to the top of his boots, from which he pulled out his dagger. Keeping an ear turned towards the conversation going on around him, he began to whittle away at the chunk of oak.

Sintra saw Chris walk to a side of the boat. She sneaked to the end with him. Just then she saw a look in his eyes. Following his eyes, Sintra saw he was looking at Dani. Her breath became shallow. "He likes her?" she said barely audible. "Too bad he don't look at me that way," she said a little more loudly. She quickly looked around to see if anyone was near enough to have heard her.

Next to him, he heard someone speak. Chris pulled the blade of his old dagger away from the wood, and looked up, one chunk of the oak was only hanging on by a few fibers.

"Sorry what was that?" He asked Sintra, uncertain if she needed his help. "You'll have to speak up." Christian explained. The waves were crashing against the side of the ship. Though it wasn't loud, it was distracting.

After taking a moment to look at her, he noted her irritation, and lifted an eyebrow.

"You sure your alright Sintra?" Chris asked her, knowing something was on her mind.

"I--I--I'm fine," Sintra stammered. "I--well, I was just wondering where th--Hermione--that's her name right?--was. You see I wanted to ask her about a person whom I've read about who I think went to the same school she did." she knew she was rambling, but she couldn't help it. There was something about Chris that did that to her. "And--did you know that she does magic? I mean like real magic. I bet she could make something appear out of thin air."
Oh, I'm an idiot. He probably thinks that too. Why can't I disappear into the 'thin air'? she thought.

"Well I've heard rumors to that extent, but I don't know if I'd believe them." Christian responded with an easy laugh. Chris started carving away at the wood before speaking again.

"I heard about Hogwarts at the school I went to in Australia." He explained to Sintra. "People said a lot of weird things about it. I think it's just another school though." He insisted. "I don't believe in magic." Chris concluded. It was a lie of course. Everyone at his school knew about Hogwarts because he'd gone to a wizarding school. He tended to ignore that part of his history. Magic got you nowhere in this world.

Aww....he has a really great laugh--Oh no, is he laughing at me? Sintra thought.
"You--you don't believe in magic?" she asked him. "You see nothing magical in being saved at the very last second when in a heavy storm? Nothing when the whole world seems to have become still and you see only stars, the moon, and obviously the ship," she giggled. "There is no magic there at all?" She said this time a little more seriously, and praying her eyes didn't give her heart away.

"Well those are two different matters. That kind of magic is different from making something appear out of thin air." Christian responded not stopping the movements of his dagger. "Of course I believe in that moment...the..." He hesitated, his dagger freezing, as he looked up at the dissappearing shore. He stared for a moment, trying to think of a way to discribe it.

"The moment when, life just feels so amazing, you never understood how amazing life is until then." He answered finally. "But other than that? I don't think people can change a dog into a cat. I don't believe someone's anger can make another sick. People that say otherwise are just spiteful." Christian stated finally, as he began to carve again.

"That's true," Sintra said after a moment. She tried to shrug of the idea of no magic.
"But if you believe in one thing, don't you have to believe in the other?" she tried to think of a way to explain it. "Kinda like--you know--a boat. If you have a boat, don't you have a person to stear it? make sure nothing bad happened to the wood? Make sure it won't sink due to a leak?" she asked a little pointingly as she kneeled down to see what Chris was carving.

Artemis turned and saw Dani climb up to the main mast. Why not make her stupid first mate. she thought to herself. She closed her eyes for a moment and turned around. She leaned over the edge of the ship watching the town shrink into an unidentifiable mass. She reached back and let her hair down so it could blow free. It was one of the few times that she would do that. She turned and glanced at Sintra and Chris. Sintra likes Chris Chris most likely likes Dani and its practically obvious Dani likes the captain or maybe the captain likes her who cares...and here is poor poor Artemis all alone again. She shook her ehad to get rid of her saddening thoughts and turned to look at the ocean again.

"They are completely different types of magic." Chris insisted. "I believe in the natural type. I believe that I was born the way I am, and other than growing up, that's not going to change." He stated, The area he was carving at had the faint appearance of a dolphin's tail.

Out of her peripheral vision Christian spotted Sintra, standing alone, looking irritated. His hands halted for a moment, but he wasn't about to call her over. If she was determined to be anti-social, that was her own choice. He was getting tired of trying to keep peace among the crew.

Heaving a sigh, Dani finally sat upright. Her hands were coiled around her bare feet, keeping her upright, knees tight against her chest, as she looked around herself, checking that everything was properly attached. Her expression was completely void of any true emotion. Though she doubted the rest of the crew would notice. They were probably too busy hating her. They were all polite to each other, of course, but Dani truly doubted that anyone genuinely liked her...well, other than Christian. He was like her older brother. He was the only that treated her like a human being.

Before flopping back down, she looked down at Captain Ouellette, carefully maintaining the emotionless expression on her face. Sighing again, she fell backwards, and hit her head on the edge of the platform. A very un-feminine curse shot through the air as she rubbed the back of her hair. She was annoyed, tired, and alone. Today was going to be horrible.

The Captain steered the ship hearin the talking of the crew. Have I gone too soft? he asked him. Well then I mustfix that. he thought with a smirk. "Crew! there is no time for talking get to Work!!!' he bellowed. he sneered. They want hard... Ill give them hard. he thought a furious look on his face.

At the order, Christian sighed, and put his belongings away. He swayed with the ship once he got to his feet, and looked down at Sintra.

“I suppose we’ll have to finish this later.” He told her, trying to think of something to do. After mentally touring the ship, he decided it would be nice to clean the kitchen. Which, at the moment, was a mess. It would keep him away from further orders too.

Christian made his way across the deck.

“Excuse me sir.” He called to the captain, standing one level below him, but still in his line of sight. “I figured that since the kitchen seems to be working on a mold coat, I’ll go clean it some. I thought I should tell you...incase you need me.” He explained. The weather was good...he didn’t anticipate a storm any time soon. That and, he didn’t seem to think anyone else would be willing to take on that disgusting job.

Dani didn’t move from where she lay up on the platform. She was working...technically. Did it matter that she had a very low stress job? Instead of getting up, making herself useful, she crossed her legs at the ankles, mentally daring the Captain to get mad at her.

The Captain nodded his head at Christiain. "You are to work on that. But as soon as you are done. Grab some of the crew nd begin cleaning the floors. They look... dispicable." he said grunting. He was in a foul mood after having heard his crew saying he was too soft. Looking around he noticed they had begun to work. Different jobs but at the same rate. All except one. "DANI!!" he called out crossing his arms galring at ehr above. "Down here now!"

Chris was half way down the stairs when he heard Dani's name being shouted. He winced slightly, knowing she was in for it.

"I'm on Watch!" She called defensively, as she began to crawl down. It didn't matter if there was reason behind her being lazy...he was boss even if she didn't agree.

Her feet hit the deck loudly, her knees bent to prevent anything breaking. As soon as she had her balance, Dani moved across the deck, up the stairs, and stopped next to Captain Ouellette.

"Yes sir?" She asked, trying to keep her voice calm, hating the way her heart seemed to choke as it continued to pump the blood through her veins.

Despite her suddenly swollen heart, she kept her eyes fearlessly on his, her chin held high. Even standing at her full height...which kept her taller than most females on this ship, she was shorter than him. Nearly a full head shorter. Part of her laughed at the pathetic attempt at confindence. Inside she was terrified.

The Captain shook his head as she neared him. He was glaring but inside he knew he was being harsher on her because .... well he knew. He whispered in a harsh tone. "Does it look like s storm is brewing? You have no need what so ever to be up there. Now you need to stay down here with the rest of the crew. Grabb a mop. Hands and knees. Scrub." he pointed to a bucket. "Now." he said point blank.

Dani stared at him for a moment, her jaw tense, eyes hardening the longer they were fixed on his. After a moment she felt something warm, wet, burn behind them.

"Yessir." She mumbled, her voice soft, respectful. Behind her ribs she felt her heart lurch, felt something swelling in her throat. She didn't wait for a response before walking off, heading to the lower regions of the ship for the cleaning materials needed.

Dani spent a good deal of time trying to hunt down all of buckets. He didn't have to know she found one right off...maybe the tears would give her a little bit of slack though. A few moments of alone time to gather her wits.

Sucking in a deep breath, Dani returned to deck, and made her way to the opposite end of the ship as Captain Ouellette before dropping to her knees, and beginning to scrub.

The Captain watched as Dani went down below. He lowered his head. HE knew he had hurt her but what could he do? He wasnt one for relationships. Never had one never needed one. He saw her come back up. Not even a glance in his direction. He went back to the steering wheel and took the boat towards Tortuga.

When her knees made contact with the hard wood deck, she felt a sharp pain shoot up to her spine. She didn’t flinch, didn’t respond to the pain at all. Danielle dipped a hand into the bucket of water, grabbed the brush, and began to scrub viciously at the deck. The pain of the initial contact didn’t go away...it got worse. She scrubbed harder.

When the dam holding back her tears broke, she couldn’t tell if the problem was him...or the pain in her knees. She didn’t stop scrubbing, her eyes were fixed determinedly on the deck, watching as small droplets of water scrubbed the clean area directly below her face.

Dani couldn't tell if the crew could see her tears, her hair was hanging down around her face, collecting water.

Ouellete saw Dani hit her knees hard AFter a few seconds of looking to see if she was ok saw tears fall down. He didnt know whether or not to go and help her up or not. Sighgin he walked over. Kneeling he rested a hand on her shoulder. "Dani. You ok?" he asked a blank expression written on his face when deep inside he heart called out for her. He shut it up tight though adn threw away the key.

"I'm cleaning if you don't mind." She snapped at him. Wanting to scream at him to go away. But she couldn't. It was his ship. He could do as he pleased. He was god as far as this ship was concerned.

The struggle not to react to the fact that he was touching her distracted her from the pain in her knees, distracted her from her anger. She moved out of his grasp, and pushed the bucket farther back, moving on down the boat. It felt to her, like she would get blisters on her palms if she kept scrubbing so hard. So she scrubbed harder. The wooden portion of the almost-new brush was flat against the deck, the bristles poking out from every side.
