Winter, 2063.
Its abit past mid november, slowly but surely making its way to december. Certain places in Canada already had snow, or where expecting it. And most of the younger kids, Angelina Johnson knew, would be getting out for winter break tomorrow.

It would be the perfect time to have her grandchildren and their little friends over. With the older grandkids still away at wizarding schools, Angelina would atleast get some bonding time in with the younger group. But when their week of fun turns into something odd, wizarding family or not, what happens..?

Okay, Since I don't mind if others join, (I know the normal group will join of course.) If you want to join, I encourage you too! Just pretend your character and/or his/her parents know my characters Grandmother, Angelina Johnson, If they don't know Kaitlynnh or Julian yet. If you have any questions just ask, or better yet PM me! And Please please keep in mind, the kids are normally from six to seven, so I'd prefer no younger then five, and no older then eight.

"i don't want to eat, if i come inside i'll have to take this puffy monster out and then put it back on and by then the sun would have made it's revenge and there would be no snow left and i'd prefer it if you just came out here with meee." at the end he gave a charming grin as if he didn't totally just sound like a child.

"Ok, be right back." Monica dashed inside, grabbed a muffin, thundered upstairs, threw on her snowsuit and boots and ran back outside still swallowing the last bite of her muffin. "Ok, I'm here." she smiled, laying beside him.

Wyatt blinked afew times and watched as she ran inside and ran right back out in less then ten minutes. wow. "so what are you planning to do after this week?" he asked giving her a small kiss on the cheek before laying back down in his snow.

Monica looked at him Shocked! He had forgotten Christmas! "Darling, you're coming to my house for Christmas next week, Remember?" She asked. "After that, well I don't know, School's not the same without you. Alex and I don't hang out much, and Izzy, well she seems to have forgotten that we are best friends. She tends to ruun off, and forget when we have plans, and I don't see Savannah that much. I spend a lot of time hanging with Excelsior. But it is really lonely without you there." She turned her head so that he would not see the tears she was trying so hard not to let go.

"Err right. sorry." Wyatt felt uncomfortable when he figured out he had forgotten that - it wasn't a surprise after the summer events. but he would not admit it was because of that. "Izzy is only little still and it is her first year.. give her time i'm sure by next year thing's will be different. - Savannah isn't a good example on that so don't think Iz won't calm down, Ducky's always running around doing something but she's been that way since she could talk and walk." when she turned away Wyatt frowned with guilt, getting a glove off and gently turned her face so she would look at him again. kissing her softly, he lowered his voice quite alot. "i'm sorry Monica. i know i should be there but life throw's unexpected thing's at all of us, i'm lucky to still be sitting here - my best mate lost his life and that could have easily been me and not him. i am sorry."

"That sounds like a lovely idea, Teri. We'll have to go over some activity ideas abit later, for not I say we all go get ready and go outside to play together. And as for that snowman, I think thats possible. If not the biggest around, the biggest in this town will have to made do." Giving the child a wink, Angelina turned next to Axel.

Holding a smile, Angelina merely nodded when Axel spoke. Whispering back; "Don't feel terrible. You should know me by now.. I wouldn't be doing this under other circumstances, I'm guiding a fate that could have been just as the other had," But this was to protect her family.

"Enjoy today to the fullest, as if tomorrow will never come. Because I need to talk to you and my granddaughter, alone, tonight." It made her feel guilty, and upset inside for her reasons but she'd put everything out on the table late tonight.. until then, the day was to be enjoyed.

Turning with a warm smile to Legend, Angelina clapped her hands together before addressing all the kids. "Alright then.. if you guys are ready, go on outside and start going crazy. I want today to be 'fun day' maybe.. just maybe we'll do everything and anything you guys want. Maybe,"

Goodness, just like back then she felt like it was obvious, but it seemed only to her. "You can't be serious.. Yes Axie, yes."

"Aw, I like her already." Em giggled lightly, tilting her head to the side slightly as she used her hands leanning against the counter for support. "I'll have to find a babysitting one day so I can take Valencia, Savina and afew of their friends out for a day.. a spa day or something," She suggested as she thought about what she could do to spend bonding time with the girls.

I wish that were true, but its not. She thought but merely gave him the realist smile she could muster (Which wasn't much).

"Eih not exactily.." Emmylyne shook her head, amused at the thought of those terribly annoying snowsuits as she made to grab her daughter.

Noticing this, with one quick motion Angelina stepped in the middle of the highchair and mother. "Emmylyne, Go get changed and come outside. I want pictures dear, I've got Lainie quick under control now off with you. You too Axel," Not letting either get another word in, The grandmother turned and slipped the child out before leaving the room completely.

Placing a hand on her forehead, the young woman looked back to her best friend since childhood. "I hope she knows not to use lilac soup on her.. and to dress her as warmly as possible and get her-" The rambling stopped as she realized she sounded an awful lot like a paranoid mother; not that she wasn't one.

"Lets gooooo the snow falls and calls," Julian exclaimed, running or rather waddling as quick as he could down the hall. Nearly tripping as he reached the door and grabbed the door knob.

Her ideas were the stupidest? He was insane! And looked it too! .. Googles.. goggles were for swimming, and for quidditch in the rain. Not for snow.

Deciding to be good and leave her comments to herself, She followed closely after as they went for outside. Though she couldn't stop herself this time: "Seys the king mole," teasingly, Kaitlynnh stuck her tongue out. He was talking about digging tunnels in snow. Moles dug tunnels in the ground, same difference.

As Juls finally opened the door, and ran out into the snow, Katie watched as he went right for the fairly old stumpy tree; trying to climb it, it seemed.

"I know Darling." Monica tried hard to stop crying but failed miserably at it. "I just miss you so much. When I didn't find you at school, until Alex told me what happened, I though maybe you had..." She gulped. She was afraid that everything they had both suffered might be her fault, but she did not say that. She just hoped it showed in her eyes. "I know it's hard to talk about what happened. Just know that when I found out, I cried." She whispered.

Jae attempted a jump of enthusiasm as Lengend spoke about making tunnels to their forts. "Tha' would be brilliant!" he exclaimed. He then nodded at the mention of the gigantic snowman. "The biggest in town! Wonda'ful!" He then waddled to the door and reached for the doorknob, unable to reach it. "C'mon Ax, get ready so we can go outside. I'll fight ya, just like Finn," he said with a smile.

Axel shook his head lovingly at his cousin and nodded. "No worries. I'll be ready in a flash," he said with a smile. He then turned his gaze to Angelina and frowned slightly, unable to decipher the tone of her voice. "What circumstances?" he whispered urgently. Too late. Emmy was already talking to him and Ang told them she needed to speak, to the both of them. About what, he didn't know, but he hoped it wasn't something too bad.

"Course you do," he chuckled, in regards to his cousin Hannah. "She's really smart, in different way," he added the last part, laughing lightly as he thought of his cousins spit-fire humor. That wasn't strange, was it? "If you wanted to do that, and Lainie allowed me, I wouldn't mind taking her. She should get used to this face soon anyway," he smiled lightly, blowing a little kiss to the small baby before she departed with her grandmother.

"Let's get dressed," he nodded, offering her the more feminine of the two jackets. "Emmy, cool your jets. I'm sure your grandmother knows how to take care of children," he teased, throwing the jacket he grabbed for himself over his back. He then placed the rest of the garments on him more gracefully than he thought he would have.

Once fully dressed, the young man headed for the door and opened it, allowing the youngsters to run outside. "You guys can have a head start. Me and Ems will be out in a few minutes," he permitted them with a light smile, hoping his scarred faced didn't phase them too much. "Careful Jae," he said, quickly grabbing his young cousin after her almost fell flat on his face.

"Thanks Ax," Jae said, regaining his balance in his cousins arms. He then grabbed for Danny's hand and led him outside. "Don't want ya ter fall down," he said with a smile at the young boy. Ah yes, the joys of snow. James bent down and grabbed a handfull, packing it slightly and nodding his head; he knew perfectly well that the snow was ripe for snowman-making.

Danny chuckled as Julian and Katie ran outside. He then felt his hand being grabbed and he was running outside. He wasnt going that fast, the suit was huge after all, but he was happy all the same. Looking around at the white surrounding, his brown eyes widened. He had seen snow before but not so much! He bent down, almost falling, and took a hold of some snow. It was cold and begining to melt in his hand so he threw it up in the air. He let out a giggle, as it rained over his head.

Looking back over to Jae and Axel, he waddled back toward them. "Are you and Legend going to make a tunnel? And a fort?" he asked, his eyes gleaming. He was more happier than he could ever remember.

Excelsior made his way into the kitchen. "Hi, Grandma Angelina and everyone else! Grandma Angelina, I always tell everyone that you have the best food anywhere, don't the rest of you agree? No one cooks as good as you do!" Excelsior rubbed his stomach and took a seat at the table. "What are we going to be doing today, decorating the tree, making cookies or playing in the yard? What do the rest of you want to do?" he asked, looking at the rest of the group.

Watching her dear old friend closely, whom was gazing over at her daughter as she left, She turned back to her coffee she'd left on the counter. Taking a sip, before speaking. "You know, Your going to make a wonderful father one day." Her tone was soft, and sincere. Em hadn't actually meant to let that slip from her mind, but it was true and something a friend would say anyways."As for Lainie, If your really up to the challenge I wouldn't mind."
On quick reflexes Emmylyne caught the puffy white jacket, laying it against the counter for a moment so she could slip her boots on; Ironically not the best for snow, as they had abit of a (Thick) heel to them but that didn't faze her any especially since she'd grabbed these ones.

"I..know, that." The young woman mumbled, feeling silly for her little panic thing. She hadn't honestly ever been away from Lainie for more then atiny bit at a time, never had she let anyone bath or dress her.. or brush the little hair she had. There was only one time she could remember being away from her daughter for about ten minutes, and that was last summer when she let her little sister take her upstairs to feed from a bottle since it was calmer there then in the same room as all the kids.

Throwing the coat over herself, zipping it up, Em quickly grabbed the funny looking camera, gloves and hat before following after the children and Axel. Only glancing up as she put on her white matching hat, "Julian Shaan MAE." Emmylyne called sternly, shaking her head when he looked over. "Leave the tree bee. You'll dent it if you hit your head.." Yes, the woman loved that tree, but she was only joking.

Finally completely ready, gloves and all, Emmylyne smiled brightly. Stepping forwards to look around at the pretty white scenery.

Patting her gloved hat on her thick silky snow pants unconciously, Kaitlynnhs baby blue eyes turned from watching her twin to her big sister. "Are you going to come play with us Emmzie?" She asked in the most innocent voice she possibly could, and for once it was clearly not an act; the little girl would make a lovely actress one day but she had her sincere and serious moments.

Bending down to her sisters height, Em whispered happily: "Of course Cub, you run ahead though. Start things up; Grandma wants me to take pictures but I'll play too. You go show those boys whos boss!" while playing with Katies hands. Giving her a wink, The young woman straightened up once more and patted the younger girl on the head.

Baby blue eyes sparkling with joy and excitement, Kaitlynnh had to stop herself from squealing. "Okay! I will!" Immedinately after finishing that sentance, She ran out into the snow.

"YES MUUUM- I MEAN MAAA'AAM." Julian shouted back cheekily, grinning through his already rosy face. The light wind that hit the only bare skin visible was definitally no less cold. "Snow war? Anyone?" Ohhh. Forts.. Tunnels.. IGLOOS! Snow.. he wanted to move to alaska or something, somewhere with alot of snow all the time.

Re-entering the kitchen/dining room not too long after, This time with a very clean Lainie dressed in a similar snowsuit to the other childrens but just perfectly sized for the one year old. "Aw thats very sweet dear, Thankyou." Angelina patted his head gently as passed, straightening out her Great Granddaughters light green snow pants and once getting her hat on (Gloves already on) she brought the hood of the coat up and over the little ones head; the warmer she stayed the better.

"I believe everyones gone outside to play, as I am about to do with the rest of them. Coming along Excelsior dear?" Ang asked, casting a curious look towards him as she put on and zipped up her chorcaol black snow coat. Picking Lainie up from her seat on the edge of the table right were she'd been standing.

Ruinng outside the best that he could in the puffy snowsuit Legend grabbed a handful of snow and made it into a snowball. Thinking about what he was going to do, he decided that it would be ok and threw it playfully at Katie. "Ops, sorry the king mole has a little problem with people making fun of him."

Teri face lit up as her grandma liked her idea too. She finished off the last of her breakfast and then went upstairs to change into her pink snow suit, warm gloves and a cap. Teri suited up and then ran down the stairs and into the kitchen again. Seeing her brother she walked over to give him a morning hug before going outside into the snow. Looking around she saw Monica and Wyatt deep in conversation. Teri stood still for a moment taking in the smell of the snow and the feel of snow on her face. At that moment she was very happy and content with the world. Teri looked over at her sister and Wyatt calling out "Mon, Wyatt! Can't you come over here and help me make a big snowman?"

Excelsior came out and saw that his little sister Teri was trying to build a snowman. "Hey, let me help!" he called out, running over to where she was working. "We're going to need a bunch of stuff for this, I think, probably not just snow. It would be cool if we had some kind of hat to put on his head, and a broom or something for him to hold, that should be easy. Then we need something like lumps of coal for the eyes and a carrot for the nose, and some kind of corn cob pipe or something to stick out of his mouth. I've seen a picture of that in a muggle story called Frosty the Snowman." Excelsior smiled. "Okay, anyone who wants to help, let's start looking for stuff!" He hoped as many people as possible would want to help out with this project, they wanted to make the biggest snowman possible!

Teri had started building her snowman when her bigbrother came out to help her. Looking up at him she said eyes thoughtfull "It's hard to form it like a snowball. The snow isn't wet enough. What should we do? It has to be formed like a big snow ball." She started gathering snow in a big pile. After a while she stopped to catch her breath and give her brother a sideways hug. Teri looked at the pile of snow saying "I agree.. It would be very cool if the snowman had all those things. Do you think grandma has a carrot, coal, hat and the other thing you mentioned.. Cob pipe or something like it?"

Excelsior showed Teri how to roll the snow up into a ball. "It takes a long time, it's kind of a lot of work for just two people," he said, puffing and panting. "That's why we need as many people as possible to help us!"

He paused for a moment. "You know, I bet Grandma Angelina DOES have some of that stuff! I bet she has a carrot and a broom for sure. Let's go check and ask her if we can borrow some of that stuff for our snowman! Come on!"

With that, Excelsior turned and started toward the house, waiting for Teri to catch up to him. He took hold of her hand and they walked toward the house. It seemed she was having a hard time keeping up with him, so he reached down and carried her the rest of the way inside. "Grandma Angelina, we have something we want to ask you!", Excelsior announced.

Teri watched as her brother showed her how to form the snowball. She nodded her head at his comment saying "Yes, i know.. Who knows maybe everyone will come and help us soon when Grandma comes out? Anyway Mon and Wy's coming to help us after they have finished their conversation. So that's two extra helpers." Teri shuffled some more snow onto her growing pile puffing and panting along with her brother as she did it. Stopping she listened to her brother's idea of getting the clothes and other stuff for the snowman before continuing. It sounded good.Teri dropped the last snow on the pile and followed her brother back to the house. He was walking too fast for her so she was delightened when he picked her up and carried her the rest of the way. Teri gave him a kiss on the cheek as Excelsior carried her through the kitchen door. After his words she added smiling redcheeked "Grandma.. We need some things for our biggest snowman project. Do you have a carrot, coal, hat, scarf, broom and cob pipe?" Teri wrapped her arms around her big brother's neck content on being in his arms.

Walking past Emmy, Axel and then the two little kids near the door; Her grandson and Jae, Angelina went further out into the snow. Barely missing the snowball meant for Katie and chuckled lightly, letting Lainie down into the white fluff. "Its snow. You play in it," She explained as her great granddaugher looked wild at the snow and then back to her gran.

Turning right as she heard Legend, Kaitlynnh was hit with the snow ball in the arm and had to giggle. "The king mole has no humor!" She stated, sweeping snow up into her hand and formed it into a snowball. "The king mole should have made his tunnel before challenging the Princess of snow," Katie continued by throwing the snow ball at him.

Ducking right before he almost received the snowball meant for Legend, Julian quickened his pace over to Axel, Jae and Danny. "Why are you guys standing around? We're suppose to be having a blast!" The young boy said with a wide grin.

Stepping away from the boys, Emmylyne adjusted the camera strap around her hand as she walked out in the snow; making sure to stay closes to the house far from the younger snow throwing kids. Glancing down as she finally got the camera ready, the young mother noticed Lainie crawling over and laughed lightly.

Taking a quick picture of Katie and Legend playing, She then turned her attention back on the little one. "Stand up and walk to mummy," Emmy instructed, beaming as she tried. Only making it to her mums side before falling on her bottom, "Good job Laih!" She praised, picking up and kissing her daughters rosy red cheek.

"Maamaaaaaa, swooow," Lainie spoke excitedly, patting the ground once her mother put her down again. It was clear, as the child sat beside her mums feet to play with the snow instead of play with her Grammy, she was very attached to Em.

Allowing the little one to wander off, Ms. Johnson turned to the two voices whom addressed her. "One moment," Pulling out her wand, and waved it with 'Accio snowman basket' a navy blue and white speckled snowman came flying out of the house. "Heres the scarf, hat, coal and cob pipe.." She said, handing the basket to Teri and accio'd the broom and carrot next which landed gracefully in her arm, wand going back into her pocket. "Good?"

Danny was still letting snow fall down onto him when he saw Julian running toward him. He chuckled as his cousin ducked a flying snowball. Looking over toward Jae and nodding, he said to Julian, "So are you guys going to start a snowball fight?" A smile played on the six year olds face. He was loving every minute of this.

"Thanks," Axel said, his cheeks burning red suddenly. He'd make a good father? He always thought he was good with kids, but he never thought he was perfect. Although, when was anyone perfect? Emmylyne is, he thought suddenly, then shaking his head in disbelief at his thoughts. Push past it Ax. You'll be fine.

He then turned his impenetrable sea green eyes to the young Julian yelling towards them. "Jae, I think we need to give this little son of a gun a lesson," he said wisely, taking a step out closer to Jules. "All I have to say is, you better run," the young man chuckled, mock-glaring in his direction. He then took off, running at top speed and taking Julian high into the air with his strong arms and tumbling down in the snow. He was having so much fun with this, he felt just like a child again, wrestling with his cousin Finn in the snow.

Jae laughed and began throwing snowballs in the direction of his cousin and friend. "Jules you betta' run! He's fast!" he chuckled, unable to contain himself. He then turned his excited twilight blue eyes on Danny and smiled widely. "Of course we are!" He then threw a snowball in Danny's direction, hoping that they would finally start a very large fight. Yes, this day was quite perfect.

After Axel's lively wrestling match with Julian, he stood up and helped the boy stand as well while brushing the snow off him. "Nice. You put up a fight. You could definitely take down my cousin Finn..who is also my age," he laughed, playfully punching Julian lightly in the arm.

Just then, a large black and white owl flew directly towards him, landing silently on his arm and holding out the letter attatched to his leg. "I've seen you before," he said softly, his smile was illuminating. Untying the letter hastily, he threw it open and read; his sea green eyes opening wider and wider as they whipped past every line. It read:

Axel,
This has been a long awaited letter my dear cousin. I haven't talked to you since your hospital days and I daresay that I'm craving to see you. I just wanted to write to tell you something...something no one thought I could do. Something I'm very proud of. Well, here it goes. I asked Elissa to marry me and she said yes. As of right now, I'm still in shock. I seriously don't remember the events of that..wonderful night, but the images are definitely coming back to me. Hah, me, speechless. Didn't think you'd ever see the day huh? I feel like the luckiest man in the whole world. You've no idea.
I've one last thing to say. We haven't exactly started planning the wedding yet, but I was wondering if you'd like to be my best man. I'll be having two of course; you and Seamus. You're the two most important guys in my life and I couldn't possibly think of standing up there without you. Please consider.
I expect we'll be seeing eachother soon. Please give my best to Ems and make sure she reads this letter.

Axel couldn't believe what he had just read. It took a few minutes for him to come to, then he stalked over to Emmy and grabbed her hand, thrusting the letter in it. "Read that and then you might be as dumbfounded as I am right now," he said, still souding like he was in disbelief. He finally got to her. Hopefully I can be as lucky."Oh and I have to go to his next game," he chuckled. Of course he'd threaten him. Why wouldn't he? It reminded Axel of their childhood.

Jae had noticed this too and asked Axel what it had been about. Axel kindly obliged and Jae couldn't be happier. He hadn't met Elissa, but he was sure that Finn had picked out a nice match. He was just like that. Always looking for perfection in the weirdest ways. That was his cousin though and he strangely took after him quite a bit. Not to mention in appearance he looked much like him. Their twilight blue eyes were uncanny, but their hair was much different.

James walked off in high spirits towards his friends as he thought about going to another wedding. He always had so much fun at family events that he could hardly contain himself.
