| | | ••KA: RPotW•• -> Going to Grandmas.. ♥ Winter, 2063.
Its abit past mid november, slowly but surely making its way to december. Certain places in Canada already had snow, or where expecting it. And most of the younger kids, Angelina Johnson knew, would be getting out for winter break tomorrow.
It would be the perfect time to have her grandchildren and their little friends over. With the older grandkids still away at wizarding schools, Angelina would atleast get some bonding time in with the younger group. But when their week of fun turns into something odd, wizarding family or not, what happens..?
--------------------- Okay, Since I don't mind if others join, (I know the normal group will join of course.) If you want to join, I encourage you too! Just pretend your character and/or his/her parents know my characters Grandmother, Angelina Johnson, If they don't know Kaitlynnh or Julian yet. If you have any questions just ask, or better yet PM me! And Please please keep in mind, the kids are normally from six to seven, so I'd prefer no younger then five, and no older then eight. Hogwarts RPG Name: Alexander James Wright First Year | Elder Quad "Nice to meet ya Nik," Jae said with a bright smile. He then beamed. "Of course I am! Wouldn't dream of doin' anythin' else would I?" he laughed, thinking about his future in dragon keeping. Chloe caught the wink from Nik and chuckled lightly while brushing her vibrant red hair out of her honey colored eyes. "He'll be the best Nik and don't you forget it," she laughed, poking Jae lightly in the ribs. She then turned her attention back to the baby she was now playing with. "Oh 'ello Lainie," she cooed, giving her a swift kiss on the forehead. "You've grown 'aven't you?" She began playing with the small toys on the edge of the baby's walker as if making a small puppet show. As Axel watched Emmylyne's facial expression while she read the letter, he suddenly had a sinking feeling in his stomach, some void that would never be cleared. After the letter fell to the ground he quickly grabbed it and read it, twice.
"Absolutely not. This...it...can't...not..he's not..." His sentences were broken. He had absolutely no idea what to say or do. "Oh god." His breathing quickened and he suddenly felt hot tears fall quickly down his cheeks. He was crying, something this young man did rarely. The last time was probably when he found out his parents were killed. His hands found his hairline and pulled extremely hard out of anger. He couldn't help but think it should be him pushing daisies and not his best friend.
"Oh Emmy," he whispered desperately as he snapped back into reality. He wrapped his arms around his sobbing friend as he too couldn't stop the tears. Now what was to happen? Ben was gone, Lainie left without a father, and Emmy left without a husband. He rocked her back and forth, rubbing the tears out of his puffy red eyes and brushing Emmy's hair away from her face.
He hadn't even noticed that Angelina had left the two in the room until he finally looked up and noticed they were alone. He then looked back down at Emmylyne and sighed deeply. So many emotions were racing through his body at this moment it was almost unbelievable. What was to happen now? Chloe glanced at the library door then up to Nik as she gave Lainie another toy. "Wha' d'ya think 'appened?" she whispered. "Somethin' terrible I'm guessin'." She bit her lip and looked back to Jae who had now moved over to the couch where another boy was residing. As Angelina walked back out she leaned in to hear what the old woman had whispered. Her honey eyes grew wide as she too fought back the urge to cry. No, she wouldn't. Not in front of the children. "That is terrible," she whispered. Wow, that was bad. She planned to talk to Axel and Emmy later, but now was definitely not the time. Jae plopped himself down on the couch right next to Danny and smiled. "Sleepy?" he asked with a small giggle. He then looked back to Chloe, obviously wondering exactly what sort of present she had brought him. The twenty two year old greeted the new arrival with a warm smile. What was her name? Ashleigh? Yeah that was it. She could honestly say that she had never encountered this young woman before. She was always up for meeting new people. Oh yes, this vacation was going to be very fun...hopefully.
ooc: Obviously I'm back So let's get this plot going, shall we?! Please stay active everyone! Sorry again for my absence, but I'm back for good

| Fortress of Brilliance ღ Mommy Quad "MMmmmMMm," Bouncing abit in her walker-seat, Lainie snatched up a plastic toy cow from her tray and put the head in her mouth, covering it in just abit of slobber even if that wasn't why she'd done that. Laih was teething, it was chewy for the most part. Anyone could do the math. After deciding it be best to put the game away instead, Nikolas finally managed to get all three younger sisters settled down again. Lydia curled up, nearly falling asleep on one side of Julian and Kaitlynnh layed on the floor against the couch with a pillow under her head, Lissy was alseep on Juls over side.
It was.. basically quiet time, actually it would probably be bed time but Nik wasn't sure what to do since his grandmother seemed to disappear upstairs again.
He too hard heard what happened, by nosily butting in [not that Angelina would have minded] and regretted it. Refraining himself from muttering what he really wanted to Nikolas ran a hand through his hair out of nervous habit. "Yeah..definitally not what I'd have expected," He whispered back with a grim frown. What Emmy was feeling, was not descripeable. One thing for sure, is she wasn't thinking properly, rationally. At the moment, she would give everything in the world to turn back time, to when they where five years old again no matter it risked all her siblings after Regina, and the past.. present and future. She didn't think about that, all she could think about was this was utterly wrong. Emmy felt responsible too, for her own reasons.
Everything in her mind was a complete disaster, and she couldn't even control her own emotions. Em couldn't stop the tears from flowing, each delicately tracing her unnaturally paled cheeks.
Emmylyne was meeting that teenage confusion she swore she'd destroyed before offically considering herself an adult.
At first she allowed herself to sit, as if frozen in time, in thought, while Axel held her comfortingly though crying too, understandbly. After a moment, She shook her head again, closing eyes tightly and opened them again. They hurt, her whole body hurt but not physically really.
Unable to find her voice, Emmy carefully pulled away from Ax, not daring to meet his watery gaze as she weakly stood, walking silently over towards the desk which she felt greatful for reaching without falling, where she placed the once more abandoned letter and could only shake her head again, lips pressed tightly together as if an attempt to stop crying, or stop any sound from coming out..
Raising shaky hands to tuck waves of blondish brown behind her ears, the young woman let out a shallow breath. Her hands supporting her from behind on the desk edge she leanned against, slightly. "I shouldn't have s-said yes." She managed to whisper, faintly. It made no sense really, because it followed up more thoughts..memories..mistakes..

Hogwarts RPG Name: Alexander James Wright First Year | Elder Quad Chloe looked up from Lainie to see the other woman who looked to be about her age. She smiled brightly and shook her hand. "And I'm Chloe Jade O'Callaghan. Pleased to meet ya," she said brightly. She loved meeting new people, it was quite obvious.
The twenty two year old then glanced back to Nik, taking note that he looked quite uncomfortable with the situation. "Absolutely not what ya'd expect." She shook her head. "Alright Nik, shall we get everyone into bed?" she asked, standing up and trying not to trip over her own feet. It was a challenge, especially for her. Merlin only knows how she keeps her dragon keeping job.
"I'll let Ems take care of Lainie. Not really sure wha' to do 'bout her. But everyone else we can get in," she said with an authoritative nod. Jae giggled and poked Danny playfully before leaning back on the couch. "It's alrigh'. I'm exhausted," he said in agreeance with his older cousin. "Chloe, what didja get me?" he asked with a small grin. Chloe shook her head. "You'll see when you get it," she teased, giving him a kiss on the forehead. The only thing that could describe Axel's emotions was guilt. He felt guilty. He felt he should be the one dead and not Ben. He hadn't even started a family and yet he had. Ben deserved this life and Axel hadn't even started. He didn't deserve anything, especially after his thoughts about Emmy.
Emmylyne: the love of his life was in pain and he couldn't fix it. That was probably the thing that hurt him the most, which made him feel even worse because his best friend was dead. He felt worse for the living person than the cold one. But the worse part was that he wasn't even thinking of his own siblings. They had lost both their parents in the past two years and now Axel was wishing they had lost their older brother as well. Sick. You're just sick, you know that? He felt utterly disgusted with himself and didn't know how to make it right.
After Emmy pulled away from him, Axel placed his face in his hands and rested his elbows on his knees. The tears were still flowing freely and he had no way of stopping them. His emotions were flowing through him like poison and he felt at any minute he might explode.
His normally lightly tanned face was now pale and sickly looking and his hair was wet from his hands moving from his face to his hairline. All he wanted to do was scream, but now sound would escape him. He felt like he had lost his voice and it would never return.
As more thoughts raced through his mind he heard Emmy speak. Looking up at her for the first time. Did she really say what he thought she said? Was he actually feeling better about this conversation. No! Idiot! Shut up! "Said yes to...what Ems?" he managed to say. Apparently he had found his voice again, but for all the wrong reasons. |

| Fortress of Brilliance ღ Mommy Quad Wiping her stinging eyes, furiously, in a sad attempt at clearing all the tears, thoughts of Lainie managed to drift into mind. Her beautiful little angel. Emmy wanted badly to go see her, to go check on her, make sure with her own two eyes that the child was just fine, but she couldn't do it.
Before she could even compose herself, and keep something she had for many many years now inside that only one person in the whole world knew, slipped. Slipped right from her soft pink lips in a rush: "To Benjamin. I shouldn't h-have said to the engagement, I-I shouldn't have said yes all those years ago when he asked m-me out the first time. I s-shouldn't have fallen inlove with m-my best friend and I r-really shouldn't have had to r-re-think which best friend I loved m-more a-and an-and I shouldn't have fallen for a best friend at all!"
Emmylynes misty greenish brown hazel eyes widened as she realized what she had just said. Slapping a hand over her mouth as if to scold herself, and or keep anything else that she might not have already said, in.
It was true, since she was fifteen years old. Thats when feelings had started growing stronger then they should have.. for both boys in time. She loved them both. They had been there since day one.. since the age of five, when they had all met, she had literally been inseperable from those two. If she wanted them to or not, both boys had always been right by her side, in the hard times and good. To protect her from 'dangers' or even other boys, and just to have an adventure of theirs. To sit through, and enjoy tea parties with Miss Agatha.. they had been her whole world, Elissa and Finn too. but she had gotten more attached in a different way, to Benjamin and Axel. And that wasn't a good thing.
Oh god. Emmylyne felt awful, for good reason. Cursing herself silently as she somehow managed to carry her numb body around the desk, dropping into the desk chair. Why couldn't she disappear? Thats ALL she wanted right now. That.. Benjamin back.. a timeturner. Yes, a Timeturner would be perfect! She could go back not just far enough to erase what Ax had just heard but enough so she could make sure Benji lived.. so far back that nothing had ever happened between them, back far enough so she could magically make sure feelings were ignored until forgotten.. maybe even so far back that she'd get her dad back too. And Aggie.. yes. And.. And she'd take Lainie with her, she'd find a way to keep her even in the past, raise her anyways.. as if adopted from a teenage girl.. she didn't care, Emmy wanted out, she wanted to fix what she messed up. But she wasn't willing to give her daughter up either.
The young woman over all, awful, guilty, upset emotions, felt like a selfish child. Could she have possibly deserved this? As a punishment for something she had done wrong? or maybe it wasn't that at all? Em didn't care either way, this was not 'Destiny' losing her husband was not 'fate'. If it was, the world had evil ways of doing things. "Sounds good to me," Nikolas nodded, trying to push past the situation they knew of, and to the one at hand. Giving her another nod, the twenty year old strolled over to his neice and picked her up carefully. Figuring while they were getting the kids upstairs Lainie shouldn't be left on her own, so he'd take her with them. "Short-stop, wake up. Come on, lets get you lot up to your room and into your beds." He instructed, using his free hand to help the half-asleep Lissy to her feet, allowing Julian to get up, and had him make sure one twin didn't sit down while he got the other up.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Alexander James Wright First Year | Elder Quad Chloe nodded, smiling as Nik took small Lainie in his arms. "C'mon Jae, let's head upstairs. Let's take your little friend as well, shall we?" she said, smiling down at the tired looking Danny. She took Jae hand then looked at Dan. "Would you like a piggy-back ride young man?" she asked, her honey colored eyes sparkled. She absolutely loved being with little kids, so naturally she was ecstatic that Jae's mother was pregnant with twins. Jae yawned and took Chloe's hand while rubbing his twilight eyes. As she led him upstairs his mind wandered to the last couple days he had spent in this house with all of his friends. He smiled even though he was ridiculously tired and had absolutely no idea where he was going. Axel's jaw dropped as Emmylyne spoke the words he had been longing to hear for so long. The only thing that was strange was her last sentence. Did she in fact love him enough to be with him? That was a stupid idea anyway. She had been married to his best friend and he wasn't even in the ground yet. How could he be thinking these things?
He had loved her since he had first layed eyes on her, but he could probably say the same thing about Ben. Ben loved her in a different way than he did though. At least, that's what he thought. He hadn't thought someone could mean this much to him, even after his parents death. She was the best thing that had ever happened to him and she wasn't even his.
Axel stood up, legs wobbly, and placed his hands on the desk that Emmy was now residing on. His sea green eyes tried so hard to read the expression on her face, but it was so difficult. All he wanted to do was grab her and kiss her, but he refrained. He couldn't do that. What was he thinking?
Did she really regret falling for Ben? Would she have done the same if she had fallen for him? Nothing was certain anymore. Then again, when had they been? She would have to start a new life now, her and Lainie. And he desperately wanted to be a part of it.
He took a deep breath, exhaling for quite sometime. Now or never Ax. Just do it. Without even thinking, he moved to stand next to her, took her cheeks between his strong hands, and kissed her. It was a soft, short kiss, but it was high impact. That's all he had wanted to do. And now his heart felt like it wanted to jump out of his chest.
Not wanting to see her reaction, whether good or bad, he quickly moved out of the library, shutting the door as he left. Making contact with no one, he moved silently up the stairs and into his room. Shutting the door with a snap, he began to pound his head steadily on the wall. What did you just do? Seriously? Think about it. You're the biggest idiot in the entire world, you know that? This battle continued in his head for some time as he began to pace. Back and forth, back and forth. His hair was a mess, face tear-stricken, and there was a constant worry in his normally caring eyes.
Finally after many injuries he had given himself, he collapsed on his bed. then he let it all come out. He began sobbing as hard as he had ever sobbed. After a while the sobs came from the back of his throat, sounding angry. His hands were plastered over his eyes as if trying to be rid of everything that was going on, but the more he fought it the more it came back, even stronger. After depositing Danny and Jae into their beds and saying goodnight, Chloe walked out into the hallway. She stopped abruptly as she moved past her cousins room. Was he..crying or screaming? Whatever he was doing made her feel very worried. Yes she had thought of going in there, but knew it was not the time. When he was ready, he'd let her know.
She traced his door while hovering there for a second, then she moved silently down the stairs. Plopping down on the couch, she was completely alone as she gazed out the window. She moved her vibrant red hair out of her eyes as she thought about what she had just heard, as if trying to put pieces of a puzzle together. It baffled her, but she was truly worried about her cousin and friend. |

| Fortress of Brilliance ღ Mommy Quad Emmylyne snapped out of her thoughts, taking notice that Axel had found the ability to move too. Slowly, she was calming. Earth toned eyes fixed on the library room floor, He still hadn't said anything. She was taking this as another very bad mistake, until his next action corrected her.
Lifting her head slightly, as he was walked over to her, now extremely close. Breathing in sharpy, for a short moment she forgot to breath. Though, her heart started pounding faster as his hands gently found her face. Unable to think straight, Em felt frozen. Brownish green hazeled eyes staring up at him, in wonder. She wasn't sure if she wanted to move..or if she could. She should, was one thing that was obvious. But, she..didn't.
It was a very short kiss. When he moved away from her, she kept her eyes shut and turned to the side, wondering what she had just gotten herself into. Wondering if this was a roller coaster dream.
Hearring the door shut quietly, Emmylyne's eyelids opened once more. Tears rolling from them just as soon. This made her disloyal to Benji..even with the situation she was in, from the start she had been no matter how badly she wanted to take it all back. Emmy hadn't been honest with either men or herself, and did infact regret it. All of it.
This was not something she did, she understood well that mistakes were apart of life, you learned from them and shouldn't regret. But at the moment, she thought differentely. This wasn't just any mistake, this was something she could have prefented from happening; from hurting herself, and both best friends.
Finding the little strength she still had, Emmylyne swallowed hard, wiping her face of all tears and proceeded to leave the room. Stopping at the stairs where Nikolas tried to usher four children upstairs, Lainie in his arms.
Balancing Lainie on his side with one arm, Nikolas held onto one of Lissys hands and one of Lydias. Kaitlynnh and Julian wearily strided up the stairs infront of them in which Nik let go of the younger twins at the sight of his older sister and had them follow upstairs. He waited till each reached the top before turning brownish grey eyes on Emmylyne next. "Em.." He softly said, but was interrupted before he was able to say anything more. "Nikolas.. please, I really don't want to talk," She responded faintly, reaching out to grab the baby.
His concerned expression didn't change, but he handed his sister her daughter. "I'm here when you need to talk Em.. go get some rest," He instructed and continued up the steps to check up on the kids, whom were suppose to be getting into bed. Instead of going up to her room, the young mother slipped into the kitchen, craddling a tired child close. And grabbed a baby bag she'd left downstairs that afternoon, quickly heatting a formula bottle and gathered her things. Turning off the kitchen and hall lights on her way upstairs.
She tried keeping all thoughts off everything. Everything except Lainie, she was her only concern at the moment, or atleast she was trying to make it so.
With her bedroom door closed, Emmylyne finished changing her little ones wet diaper and into a pink, flowery, onesie. She set her down on her lap, sitting crisscrossed against many pillows as she attempted to feed Lainie. Thoughts still drifting freely back and forth, the flow of water had slowed, but hadn't stopped. Babies could sense feelings and vibes quite well actually, and clearly Laih did. Because she kept fussing when her mother would try to get her to drink from the bottle, she looked close to tears too. Upset, because she could feel Emmys tention, although she didn't understand any of it, not really, it still affected her.
The radio in the corner, like afew days prior, had turned itself on at random.. loudly, though. Startling Emmylyne quite badly, and Lainie started crying. "Shh. Mummy promises its okay LaihLaih.." She whispered, glancing around cautiously. Although the radio had done that afew times already, it still made her uneasy.
The lights, throughout the whole house, went off. Covering everyone in pitchblack darkness, with only the light of the moon to help. All the electronics, and anything working off of power, immediantly died.
Grabbing Lainie's baby blanket, full of animals from the zoo, Emmy wrapped it around her daughter rushedly and stood, quickly grabbing her wand on instinct. As if they hadn't been through enough already..
Right as Nikolas neared the room Chloe sat, everything went out. "Oh great." He murmured, stopping in his tracks.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Alexander James Wright First Year | Elder Quad Jae layed in his bed after his cousin tucked him in and gave him a kiss on the forehead. He slowly drifted off to sleep, a very deep sleep at that. His stuff dragon tightly clutched in his arms, the little one dreamed of the days events and all of his friends. Finally realizing how much he had just injured himself, Axel stood up and groaned from the feeling of his aching body. He began pacing around the room again, taking note of the children going into their bedroom for the night. That was a good thing. Less that they would know. He knew Jae would be asking what was wrong if he saw the look on his face at this very moment.
Many many thoughts raced through his mind as he began levitating just about everything in his bedroom. Anger getting the best of him, he smashed one of two lamps in his room against the wall. He didn't even bother to repair it because he was so emotional. You're a man, you're not suppose to get this emotional. Oh what do you know? There was obviously a battle of good and evil taking place in his head.
He knew his cousin was worried about him. She always got like this. She and Valencia were so much alike. Although he could probably say the same about every female in their family. He knew he'd talk to her later, but he just wondered how well he'd be able to keep himself from crying no matter how much Chloe would tell him to just 'let it out'.
Axel stopped pacing for only one moment when the power went out. "Dammit," he uttered. "Lumos!" His wand illuminated as he made his way into the hallway and down the stairs. Not hearing any screaming from the children's room he figured they were all asleep already. Another plus for this dismal night. As Chloe's thoughts wandered, the power suddenly went out. She rolled her honey colored eyes and whipped her wand out with a flourish. "Lumos!" She walked quickly from the room where she found Nik coming towards her. "Odd isn't this?" she asked, glancing up the stairs. "What happened?" Axel asked, sounding a bit too harsh as he entered the room with his wand held high. "Erm..sorry...long night," he murmured. This was quite strange for the power to be out. It didn't happen often, especially within wizarding households.
A thought suddenly came to mind. Without even saying anything, he turned sharply and took the stairs two and three at a time. Breathing a bit heavier than usual, he stopped in front of Emmy's door to find her with her daughter. "This is strange. Where's the electrical box outside? I'm gonna try to fix it," he said to her. He attempted to make his eyes speak to her, to say 'I'm so sorry for my actions', but he had no idea if she got the message. "That's my cousin," Chloe chuckled as he walked away again. She turned back to Nik, a serious look on her face again. "Did you get to talk to Emmy?" she asked, sounding like she wanted to keep things hush-hush. "I'm really worried, 'bout the both of 'em," she said sincerely. "I think I 'eard Ax beating himself up in his room. I know him. He's so...masochistic when it comes to situations like this. He doesn't want to 'urt them so he 'urts himself, literally," she said with a nod. |

| Fortress of Brilliance ღ Mommy Quad Getting his wand from his back pocket, Nikolas finally had it lit with magical light. "Well, Chloe, I can't say I remember this ever happening before." He answered, gazing around carefully for any sign of kids still being up and out of bed, or any unwanted guests. Emmylyne held her wand gripped tight, unlit, and couldn't help but gaze out of the window. Only snapping back to reality at the sound of a voice and continued soothingly rocking her crying daughter. "I guess, either that or in the basement," She said, trying hard to keep the anxiousness from her tone. There was one thing that had always bugged her, even since she was just alittle girl, and that was the dark. Only in some situations it made her nervous, and this was one of them.
Grandma's a witch, Agatha was a witch, thats about the only two houses in the area. For all she knew, the house could be powered by magic.
Em had understood, and didn't know what to say. "Ax.." She mumbled, refraining from saying anything else. She knew how she felt, knew better then voicing it, and, also knew she didn't know what to do at this point. Going against better judgements, She met his gaze once more, responding quietly to the guilty apologetic look in his eyes. "..Don't be,"
Mixed emotions surged through her, yet again. Emmy was begining to feel very helpless, as if she couldn't figure out what to do anymore. On this matter atleast, that was for sure. And she hated it, that feeling, she was always strong and things had suddenly shifted on her.
Oddly enough, Lainies crying had stopped rather quickly. Sucking on her thumb with her head against her mummys shoulder as mummy and her friend talked.
"Nope, she said she didn't want to talk." Nikolas shook his head, sadly with a deep sigh. "Thats not good, none of this is. We've really got to butt in and fix this somehow, or atleast try." He suggested, determinedly. Nik too was worried, and really didn't want this to continue.
Where was their grandmother anyways?!
This night just kept getting odder and odder. "Ehm, anyways, back to the problem at hand." Nikolas spoke up again, after a moment. Shining the wand infront of him as he strolled down one all, then came back and checked the other. "Think this is just some muggle wire accident, or maybe a storm knocked it, or do you think its more..Witchy, then that?"

Hogwarts RPG Name: Alexander James Wright First Year | Elder Quad "You sound like an authoritative electrician," Chloe said to Nik with a chuckle. She moved past him and into the kitchen, making sure ever light was off before they decided what the problem was. "Yeah, this definitely is not somethin' that 'appens regularly in wizardin' households." She was utterly convinced that something fishy was going on and she did not like it one bit.
"I'll go check it out. This normally doesn't happen does it?" Axel asked, surprised at how calm his voice sounded seeing as his emotions were tearing through his veins. "Light your wand, it'll help," he said with a slight nod to the piece of wood in her hand. Even though they had just had a...weird few moments, he still felt like he had to keep her safe. She was his number one priority. He cursed himself for thinking this way, but he could ignore it no longer.
She knew what his eyes were trying to say. He blinked, keeping his eyes closed tight for a minute. He held up a hand to stop her as she said he shouldn't be sorry. "Please, don't. I can't go through any more pain tonight," he said barely above a whisper. After all, he was starting to form a bruise on his forehead and knuckles, from punching the wall. Not only was it physically painful for him, it was mentally beating him up as well. He had never had this many emotions flood through his body. And it was thoroughly scaring him.
His voice sounded strained, completely unlike his own as he spoke again. "C'mon. Let's go downstairs, try to figure this out. Me and Nik will go outside." He offered his hand to her, not matter how much it would pain him for her to touch him. For some odd reason he wanted no contact with her, or anyone for that matter. But there was another part of him that was driving his hand forward. He wanted to feel her warm skin, even if it meant going through all of those emotions again.
He too noticed how silent Lainie had gotten as he held his hand out to Emmy. He smiled weakly down at the child, but then his smile faltered and turned into a sullen look once again. This was definitely not healthy for him. One thing was for sure: he was not going to tell Valencia what was happening. Chloe turned around to face Nik once the two got into the kitchen. "Somethin' really bad musta 'appened." She bit her lip in thought while twirling a strand of red hair around her finger. "I could 'ear Axel..pretty much..torturing himself in his bedroom. I'm really worried, 'bout the both of 'em." This was so true. Different thoughts roamed through Chloe's mind as she stood there with her friend, but obviously it was nothing compared to what her cousin and friend were going through.
Snapping out of her trance, Chloe nodded in agreement to Nik's comment. "It's absolutely somethin' 'witchy'," she said cautiously. "I just...'ave a feelin'. That's all," she said quietly. If anyone knew her very well they knew that when she got these 'feelings' they were normally right. Sometimes they came in handy, but other times they were totally off. This time, she felt completely certain.

| Fortress of Brilliance ღ Mommy Quad "Cute, real cute." Nikolas hid no sarcasm in his words and shook his head with amusement. They were in the middle of a power outage and she was making a joke. Having had worked with and had known her for the years he had, the young man was and should be use to it by now.
He nodded in agreement, following her down the hall towards the kitchen. "In all my twenty years of life I've never heard of something like this happening.. except.. once, but that ended up pretty grim." Great, oh great. "No, never." Emmylyne answered, her tone and attitude switching from the one she was feeling, to a more composed, collected one. She needed to force the days events out of her head, all of them. The uneasy feeling she had made her question even herself, was it because of the day she had had? or was it because something was wrong?
Instead she tried focusing at what was going on now, With the house alone. With protecting everyone, if need be.
Because she heard no children at all, except the soft breathing of her own, the young woman assumed each of the kids were fine, for now in the least.
Nearly shaking her head no, to his request, Emmy stopped. Turning her gaze on the window again, for a moment, and then back. She was far too tired to even bother arguing, It was pointless after all. "Lumos," She mumbled, watching her Mahogany wooded stick tip light up brightly.
It pained her, more, being around him at the moment wasn't good. Let alone her still feeling quite sick, with the same pounding headache that hadn't gone away and could have thrown up by now, or atleast she felt that way. Too much trauma to her body, getting overly upset did that to her.
She agreed to going downstairs. But hesitated at his offer, turning hazel eyes on the ground for a moment and shifted Lainie up abit more. As her gaze lifted, she took the binky that sat on the endtable right beside her, of which she could barely see. No Em. Emmy thought. She didn't want to make anything, any worse then they already were. Over all, She was scared. Scared of what had come from her outburst, scared of what would be the future and scared of this night entirely. The young woman didn't scare easily, either, but power usually didn't die in a wizarding home. The eerie feeling, wasn't going away. "I-Its fine, Thankyou." Her whisper was barely heard by even herself, lifting her wand to waist high infront of her and slowly started walking from the room. Allowing waves of brownish blonde to frame and fall into her face, earth toned eyes dropping to her feet again, watching each step cautiously. "Yeah I kinda thought so." Nikolas frowned deeply. Pausing next to the counter and leaned on it, "Great.. that can mean nothing good. We're going to have to do something, Seriously Chlo." Finding out would be a good start. but taking care of this problem first if possible would be a good idea too. "Good, its settled. This isn't normal, we have an unwanted guest somewere near the house." Nikolas automatically went on to assume. "Follow that feeling, trust it. And get ready for whatever might be headed our way, though keep in mind I'm going in combat mode and there could just be something wrong with the power.. better safe then sorry still." They couldn't risk a 'sorry', not with everyone in this house.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Alexander James Wright First Year | Elder Quad Chloe chuckled once more. "C'mon Nik, you should know me by now," she said with a smile. At his next words she pursed her lips in thought. "Well in all of my twenty two years this has never happened, not even once, and now I don't like that it happened to you. you're a Mae after all. Does your family have any enemies?" That was definitely a thought she didn't think would come up, but it might be helpful. "This isn't right," Axel shook his head. power outages just don't happen in wizarding households, they just don't. The only time it ever had gone out was when his parents were killed, and obviously that wasn't a pleasant night. That thought made his insides turn. He placed an arm over his stomach, as if that might stop the uneasy feeling that was now flowing freely throughout his body.
He glanced towards the children's room next, worry occupied his normally handsome face. "Sounds like they're all asleep," he confirmed as he walked back into her room again. Yes, they were alright for now. When they started hearing screams from the upstairs bedroom, then they would have a new problem at hand.
Thankfully she decided to come downstairs with him, but she did not take his hand. He took this sign as a very bad one. While her back was turned to him, he squeezed his eyes shut for a moment, then opened them while taking a very deep breath. That only made his inside churn worse. Idiot. Look at what you've got yourself into. You're quite ridiculous, you know that? That battle he wished would cease to exist, but he knew that was impossible.
Axel walked slowly down the stairs behind Emmy, taking in all of her looks. Of course, now he was thinking after their little incident that this might be one of the last times he saw her. He wanted to memorize her eyes, the way she walked, her smile even though he thought she might never smile again. He wanted to remember everything about her if she wished not to see him anymore. He had no idea what he would do if that happened and he tried not to think about it, but he wasn't sure of anything anymore. Chloe nodded. "You're righ'. We can't let this go on. Look at 'em! They're both miserable! I can't see him like this anymore Nik, I just can't. And Emmy too. She's normally so 'appy. I don't like this at all," she shook her head frantically as she spoke.
"Glad you believe my 'premonition'" she chuckled, using the air quotes when necessary. She then nodded, holding her wand a bit tighter than she normally did. "Combat mode? Somethin' must be seriously wrong if you're gonna rely on tha'." It was no use. No matter how serious the situation was, Chloe could always come up with some silly little joke. It was just her way of brightening the mood, if only for a few seconds. Once Axel entered the kitchen with Emmy he turned to Nik. "Where's the electrical box?" he asked, heaving a large sigh as he felt his cousin rub his shoulder affectionately. He glanced at her, as if to say 'later' through his eyes. She got the message because she nodded and dropped her hand.
"We gotta get these lights back on before the kids wake up. I know Jae will think somethings wrong if he wakes up," the young man said with a nod. Tonight just kept getting better and better: not. Chloe completely understood when her cousin stopped her. At least she knew he'd talk to her about it later. Maybe he wanted to talk it out? She always felt better when she got those sort of things off her chest so maybe he was the same way. Whatever it was, she would be there for him because that's what a good cousin, and friend, does. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Christian Lestat Black Fifth Year | Ashleigh put on her robe over her sweats and checked on the children before she padded downstairs. She wound up with all the other adults in the kitchen, and one look at her best friend told her all she needed to know. Ashleigh herself had had the ssame shell-shocked look a year ago. She walked over to Emmy. No words needed to be said between them, she put her arms around her best friend and held her.

| Fortress of Brilliance ღ Mommy Quad "It didn't happen to my family, it happened close to my family." Nik corrected the misunderstanding, nodding his head to the left to signal it was the house that was once neatly taken care of, now old dirty and abandoned, through the over grown woods.
That was no comfort. None. Last time it happened, wasn't even a block from here. "As for does my family have any enemies? None that I know of. Conner did, but the kid was a kid. Really unlikely." The only one he didn't know of was Em. And she was most likely the one to have the enemies, no matter how sweet. Merely nodding here and there, Emmylyne stayed silent. Trying to pull herself out of thoughts, and back to reality. Though maybe this was better, knowing she was walking around in the unnatural dark made her feel worse, if that was even possible. "I know. We have to..plan something, after making sure the house is protected, along with everyone in it and nothing else is going wrong. Then, we need to focus on coming up with a killer plan to make them forget about their worries. So-" Nikolas stopped. Shutting his mouth as the two of the topic came in. He eyed his sister slightly, worriedly, and the little one she held. It was obvious Lainie didn't know of her fathers incident and it was best this way, though, Em knew. And looked awful.
Chloes joke caused him to crack a small smile. She was a complete goofball, but he enjoyed her energy. Even in this situation, atleast there was one person attempting to make the best of it. "Kaitlynnh will start screaming." Nik added, shaking his head wearily. They had to hurry, that kid was a light sleeper and if she woke up, everyone woke up.
Moving to Ems side, the young man took Lainie from her, hushing her before she could protest. "I'm going to put her upstairs, with the other kids. Need to atleast protect that room..She'll be fine there," He explained quickly, his neice was already nearly asleep. A binky in her mouth instead of her thumb.
As a thought accured, with a loud 'POP' he vanished from the kitchen, apparating upstairs in the hall and continued to the kids room. Setting the tired baby in a already set up play pen and made sure she was going to be okay, before exiting. Casting whatever protection spells he knew of, on the room itself, anywere you could get inthrough.
Apparating back down stairs, as it was easier, and proved what he had thought of, Nikolas frowned. Wand light making him able to see his sisters face, she looked as if she were going to cry. "Outside, I think." He said, to Axel. Only glancing over and then back to Em. Nikolas had been here afew times, quite afew. As a child, but he never really tried finding the electrical box. "Emma.." Holding onto the counter, for support, Emmylyne stared into space. Eyes fixed on the wall across from her, they were starting to sting again, as she held back the urge to let her tears flow freely. She was stonger then this, this wasn't her. This was emotion talking and feeling for her, not Emmylyne Mae. She was letting the evening get the best of her, the darkness get the best of her.
Slowly turning her attention on her little brother. She shook her head, as if to say 'Don't worry', Wiping away a tear that had managed to escape her pools of brown and green hazel. "Wait, You just apparated." She asked, or more like said, faintly. Ohh dandy, there was a good chance they weren't alone. Hadn't Angelina protected the house? Just to be cautious? As he remembered something, he brushed away her question as it was obvious and he had something more important to ask in return. "Emma, do you have any enemies? Any at all?"
Emmylyne looked away, avoiding making contact with anyone. It was all too obvious to guess the correct answer, she didn't need to say anything.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Alexander James Wright First Year | Elder Quad Chloe shrugged. "It's still near and it doesn't make me feel any better about the situation," she said, shaking her head all the while. "Wait...are you talking about that run down house just there?" she suddenly asked, pointing in the direction the old house was in. If that were true, this was way too close to be comfortable. This was not a good thing, not a good thing at all.
"No enemies huh? I know that Axel had some strange encounters at school, but I'm not really sure if they ended on a bad note," she said thoughtfully as she began to pace around the room.
Nodding along with him as he spoke, she stopped pacing and leaned against the kitchen table. "What could we do though? We don't even really know what exactly happened. We know about..Ben..but we don't know why the two separated. you'd think they'd wanna be together at a time like thi-" Chloe too stopped at the two in question walked into the kitchen silently.
She smile in spite of herself after making Nikolas laugh. Hey, it was in her nature to be this way. Anyone who knew her little brother Finn knew that the family was known for their comical attitudes. Axel nodded at Nik, knowing full well that Katie was a definite screamer. He had a good idea of securing the children's room. That way they could be sure they were all safe. Jae was a heavy sleeper so he didn't need to worry about him.
A sudden thought came to him as Emmy spoke. "Find Angelina. Somethings not right," he said urgently. "I'm going outside to find the box and see what I can do. Look for anything out of the ordinary in the house. I've got a bad feeling about all of this," he finished as he began walking towards the door. He didn't even notice that Ashleigh had joined the group when he began walking. "I'm coming with you," Chloe piped in. She tightened her shoes and followed Axel out of the kitchen. Axel twirled around to face her. "Chlo, stay here. They need you. I can handle it," he assured her, although he was quite unsure of himself. "You think I'm just going to sit in there while you might be electrocuting yourself out there? I know what you were doing to yourself upstairs," she hissed. "And besides, I'm older than you. You can't tell me what to do," she said with a small grin. "Fine, come on," he said, grabbing her arm and leading her out the door. It was quite eerie outside seeing as all the lights around were out. The two raised their wands higher so the light would carry out farther. "There," Axel finally said, pointing to an old, rusty looking box.
He got down on his knees and opened the box with some effort. He began poking around the wires, occasionally stabbing himself in the finger with the loose ones. "Axel...Talk to me. What happened in the library?" Chloe began, sitting on the grass next to him. She knew this might erupt some feelings, but she wanted to help. "It's alright. Just let it out." Axel's sea green eyes narrowed as she began speaking, speaking and not stopping. "God dammit Chloe!" he yelled, punching the side of the electrical box. "Nothing happened. I put myself out there and...I don't know what to think now." He began poking around in the box again, clearly agitated. Chloe furrowed her brow and grabbed his hands. "Don't you dare think for one moment that she doesn't care for you Axel Phoenix. I see the way she looks at you. You're the one she's meant to be with, even if it isn't clear right now," she said softly, but firmly. "You don't know! You don't know what happened! You don't know what I did!" Axel yelled, not even bothering to take his hands from her grasp. "I feel like a complete a-" He stopped and perked up, hearing a rustling in the bushes behind them. "We're not alone," he whispered. Chloe's sharp intake of breath was stopped by Axel's hand as she heard the sound. It didn't stop. "C'mon," she whispered, standing up and pulling him along with her. Axel stood and grabbed her arm again, leading her back to the house, this time in a much quicker pace. Slamming the door shut behind them he walked quickly back into the kitchen, not knowing exactly what to say. He was so frazzled that his mind was playing tricks on him. "We're not alone," Chloe said quickly as she moved to stand beside Nik once again. "And I don't just think there's someone outside. There's someone in here as well." |

| Fortress of Brilliance ღ Mommy Quad "Emmylyne!" Nik groaned, He should have guessed. So, it could be an enemy, and again they could all just be high strung at the moment and taking everything over seriously. "Nikolas, shuttup." She said, forcedly. The young woman didn't mean to be or sound rude, but this wasn't helping. It wasn't as if she had asked for this to happen and they again didn't know what was going on, This was all assuming.
It only took a moment to dawn on her that everyone, the adults, all knew. About Benjamin. Emmy rubbed her eyes abit, wishing that when she opened them again, it would be three months prior, and she'd be at home with her little family.
No such luck. "Yeah, that house." Nik nodded, to show Chloe was right. "Miss Aggies house," Emmy piped up, straightening herself up and glanced sideways at Ashleigh. She knew her friend was only trying to help, but it wasn't. "I'm okay, Ash. Thanks though.." Her tone never left its quiet level, giving her a one-armed hug to show she wasn't angry or anything.
The young woman just wished that this would have stayed private, atleast for the timebeing. It was still sinking in, even for her. And that wasn't even her concern right now, the situation at hand was.
The thought had never struck her, not until Axel said to find her grandmother. "Oh god," She hadn't seen Angelina since the library.. Oh no.
As Chloe and Axel went to go outside, she immediantly darted to leave the kitchen, heading for the stairs up was grabbed by the wrist. "Nikolas let go." She demanded, becoming furious, when she was unable to get out of his grip. Blasted brother. "I don't want you going upstairs, I'll go, stay with Ashleigh." Nik said firmly, letting her go.
Emmy huffed, angrily. "Don't tell me what and what not to do, don't act like you have to watch or take care of me! I'm the older one Nikolas, I know what I'm bloody well doing!" She snapped and turned on her heels again, running up the stairs as fast as her legs would carry her.
She wasn't worried about herself, She was being treated like a child, when she was far from it. Em had gone through half of her auror trainning before quitting, it wasn't as if she were weak. Checking almost all of downstairs, Nikolas went back to the kitchen right as Chloe and Axel came back in, rather alarmedly. Their fears had been comfirmed, unwanted, unnone guests had arrived.
He didn't need to ask, all he had to do was look at Chloes expression and he knew they were serious. Doing a head count in his head, of the adults. They were still missing one, plus Grandma.
Emmylyne.
Cursing under his breath, Nikolas didn't say anything but went for the stairs, halting at the bottom. "EMMA!" He yelled, anger noted in his tone. Nik had pacifically told her no, not to go upstairs! They weren't allow but she was now. And he could only hope she was still on her own.. because anyone that should be with her was downstairs..
With all the commotion, it was good he'd blocked all sound from the childrens room, if all went well they'd never know of this.

She would not admit it to anyone, but she was scared.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Alexander James Wright First Year | Elder Quad Chloe looked hastily from each person to another, finally resting her honey colored eyes on the rough looking face of her cousins. She was truly worried about him. He had never risen his voice to her before, usually the two got along very well.
She bit her lip and nodded. Aggie's house. She remembered Axel talking about her when they were a bit younger and still in school. She seemed like a nice old lady, but she had suddenly disappeared. She realized something, maybe that was what was about to happen to them. Axel glanced at his cousins worried face then quickly looked away. Realizing they were one short, he suddenly heard Nikolas bellowing Emmy's name from in the other room. "Dammit," he muttered, following his voice. Where was Angelina? This was not like her at all. After the power outage he thought for sure she'd be checking on all of them, not just the little ones.
He saw the tail end of Em as he saw Nik's angry face at the bottom of the stairs. "Is she up there?" he asked urgently. Without waiting for his answer, Axel shot up the stairs, using Nik's shoulder to boost him even farther as he took the stairs three at a time. This is not how he planned for this night to go. He didn't even know what he wanted right now, but he knew it was not this. He knew they were in danger, but of what he did not know. It scared him, more than anything at this very moment.
Hearing Nik's and her cousin's urgent voices, Chloe grabbed Ashleigh's hand and led her out to where the commotion was happening. "What's going on?" she demanded as she saw her cousin's form disappear into the darkness above. She sounded extremely worried. There were no jokes, but an intense notion about her voice. As Axel disappeared into the dark hallway, he couldn't wait any longer. He began kicking open each door as he passed it out of rage and worry. "Emmylyne!" he bellowed as he went. Now the tears began to flow freely once again and he had no way of stopping them. His hands were shaking and his body ached, but that didn't stop him. He would find her and do whatever he could to keep her safe, even if it meant hurting or possibly sacrificing himself for her. "Oh my!" Chloe's hand went up to her mouth as she heard Axel's urgent voice and the banging of each door. If she went up there she knew she'd just get in his way. Then again, what if he needed help? This decision could be the difference between life and death, yet she had no idea which choice would give her what she wanted. |

I held Emmy for a bit and tried to comfort her but she just went all wierd." Ashleigh replied in a scared voice. "All i know is I have a feeling something bad is here." | Fortress of Brilliance ღ Mommy Quad After taking a quick glance in each room, still insearch of her grandmother, Emmylyne continued swiftly. Slowing at a corner, that had two doors on each side of the corner, one was just a linen closet and the other lead somewhere. With short, spiral wooden steps. She, even as a little girl, hadn't seen this room before and slowly kept going, taking each step cautiously.
The only light in the room, came from the wand held aloft in her right hand. Tucking afew strands of stray hair behind her ear as she gazed carefully around. Dust covered everything, from the one window and walls, to the endtables and their lamps to the small bookshelf with its odd books, to a locked chest near many, many boxes that nearly overtook the whole room.
A loud 'Creeeeeak' came from the door, shutting from behind the corner at the bottom of the steps. Em sneezed, covering her mouth quickly at the same time. All noises from downstairs went unheard, from the place she was in. Quite clueless to what was going on downstairs, and then, a shuffling of boxes echoed around the terribly messy, empty room. And a low growl was released. "She went upstairs on her own." Nikolas replied roughly; trying to keep anger to a minimum especially since he wasn't angry with Chloe or Ashleigh, it was his sister. If she would have just listened, they wouldn't be going through this. They could be figuring out what was going on with the house, now he had to worry about his sister, older by a year, a mother at that. What was she thinking?! He thought. "Emmylyne went upstairs even after I told her not to leave, especially not without a partner." Nik repeated himself, as Chloe demanded to know what was going on. "Emmylyne is in trouble, whether involving whats going on or with me. She couldn't just listen, shes too bloody stubborn. No, proud, oh I don't know. She just doesn't listen, she always thinks she right and knows what shes doing, but she obviously doesn't." He ranked on for five seconds, in a murmur to himself. Understandably furious.
Hearring Axel, Nikolas shook his head and turned his brownish grey eyes back on the two young women. "What are we doing? Going up to help, or making sure everything down here is normal?" He asked looking from one to the other. A great gray wolf, the timber wolf, came out of lurking from behind a stack of boxed junk. It weighed, by the looks of it, just about as much as her. Give or take alittle bit.
The creatures ears were erect, and its fur bristled. Arching its back in a crouch, the wolf paced back and forth. Lips curling up to show teeth, snarling viciously. Its narrowed eyes never left the human, and the animal never broke the straight line it walked in.
It, the wolf, was a boggart of course. Wolves didn't just appear in peoples upstairs rooms.. attics, whatever this was. Especially not in a wizarding one. Emmylyne knew that, perfectly well, but that didn't stop her from freezing on the spot. "N-Nice Wolfie.." She mumbled, fearfully. Very few knew, and or remembered, the young womans fear of wolves. Something from her childhood, had probably effected her view on them.
As afew moments passed, Emmy remembered her wand was in hand and gripped it tightly. "Nox," She had to extinguish the light, for a different spell.. but as the light went out, the wolf snarled louder. Taking a deep breath, as water managed to refill in her eyes, some escaping down a trail on her face, The twenty two year old swallowed hard, coming to her senses and attempted to take afew steps back. If unnoticed she would have tried to run.
Why? Why was she not just pulling her wand on it, and saying 'Riddikulus'?
Because, she was too scared of what would happen, if she didn't do it right the first time. Could a boggart act as the shape it took form of? Physically? This was something she was trying not to chance.
Emmylyne was trying not to make a sound, slowly stepping backwards. But, most unfortunately didn't remember, or maybe even know till then, that something was behind her and caused her to trip. Falling on her bottom and ankle, the wolf growled once more and stomped the ground in a warning way. Still though, he did not move so much from where he was originally.
Biting her lip slightly, nervously, She silently moved her legs in towards her and winced. Too afraid to stand, or make any sudden movements to make the thing any angrier. Plus, she wasn't sure of the pain she felt in her foot and couldn't see enough by the moonlight seeping through the window. Em was terrified, absolutely terrified, of wolves.
Her fear, was only helping the boggart.
