Winter, 2063.
Its abit past mid november, slowly but surely making its way to december. Certain places in Canada already had snow, or where expecting it. And most of the younger kids, Angelina Johnson knew, would be getting out for winter break tomorrow.

It would be the perfect time to have her grandchildren and their little friends over. With the older grandkids still away at wizarding schools, Angelina would atleast get some bonding time in with the younger group. But when their week of fun turns into something odd, wizarding family or not, what happens..?

Okay, Since I don't mind if others join, (I know the normal group will join of course.) If you want to join, I encourage you too! Just pretend your character and/or his/her parents know my characters Grandmother, Angelina Johnson, If they don't know Kaitlynnh or Julian yet. If you have any questions just ask, or better yet PM me! And Please please keep in mind, the kids are normally from six to seven, so I'd prefer no younger then five, and no older then eight.

Excelsior was really enjoying spending the time with his sisters and Monica's boyfriend Wyatt. The holidays were the best time of the year, the food was great and the atmosphere was simply wonderful. There was no place else he could think of where he would rather be.

You've lost it, haven't you Wy?" He remarked, getting up and headed out of the room.

Teri listened attentively to what Julian was telling her about his school, but she sensed that he was doing it a bit reluctantly. Hmm. So the teachers were regular muggles, unless they had a magical relative."If you have one muggle and one magical relative than your a halfblood?? and if none of your parents have magical powers then you are a muggleborn?"Teri was surprised that Julian seemed so indifferent about going to muggle school. To her muggles were a mysterious folk with weird inventions. Understanding Julian's point of view was really hard. Teri gave him a comforting smile saying "I'm sorry that you have to spend so much time in the muggle world and so little in the magical world. But that will change wont it, when you start Hogwarts?" To not be around magic was to Teri like not being around a part of yourself.

"Ice cream? Sounds good to me!", Excelsior exclaimed, jumping up to get a helping of ice cream. He really loved ice cream more than anything else, and there wasn't a single flavor he could think of that he didn't like. Well, maybe if they had meat flavored ice cream, he thought to himself, that wouldn't go over so well. He had even tried chocolate ice cream with jalapeno peppers once, in Diagon Alley, and he thought it was pretty good, though he loved the traditional flavors like vanilla, chocolate and strawberry most of all. "What flavors do we have?", he asked excitedly.

"Does she now? I love soccer, but I like Gaelic soccer much better. You'll have to see me cousin. I think he's on the tele lata'," Jae said glancing at the clock. He had just learned to tell time a couple weeks ago and was getting quite good at it. He was very proud of himself.

Jae's eyes lit up when Danny asked about his cousin's sport. "It's actually called Gaelic Football. It's kinda like soccer, but you can use your hands," he explained, holding up his two. "I know how to play. I'll have to teach you sometime," he offered. He really liked talking to Danny. He thought he was helping the young boy coming out of his shell. He loved that. He was glad he was that big of an influence on someone younger than him.

"I'm sure Vee would have liked the help, but she literally wrote a letter every single day. They were all dated. I've got them in my office at the Ministry," Axel told her. Maybe she'd want to see them one day. He hadn't even looked through all of them because there were so many. He looked down and chuckled slightly at her compliment. "Thank you." Apparently the Ministry thought he was becoming an amazing auror as well or they would have fired him a long time ago. Wow, and he was only twenty.

"I know, I know," he said extremely quietly. He knew he shouldn't have said that. She was right. He had no idea it was going to happen the first time and it did. Luckily he had been ready for it and he had his strong team. He could have gotten stronger without getting..tortured..Gah! He hated that word even though it was so relevant. He didn't think he knew anyone under twenty that had been tortured more than him, or even once for that matter.

He sat there staring at her for some time, wiping away the tears that threatened to fall onto her beautiful face. Finally getting enough couraged to speak, he asked the one question on his mind at that very moment. "Em, why aren't things better? Where's Ben?" His voice was very serious. He was suddenly very afraid of her answer. Ben was his best friend. If he wasn't...alright..Axel would never forgive himself for leaving after graduation. He never even said goodbye to the both of them.

He brushed her hair away from her face, unsticking it from the dried tears. Wow. He really got a chance to look at her now. She was probably the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Stop! Stop looking at her like that! There could be something happening with Ben and this is all you can think about?! He scolded himself badly in his head. He scratched his own head to try and get the thoughts out, but failed miserably.

"Vee is sweet, I'm going to have to apologize, I could have taken her down there daily," She mumbled sincerely. Better yet, they would have been down there till they got to talk to whoever was incharge of that. After they got tired of being hexed that is...

That was a first. Erm. Slightly. Axel agreed with her more then Ben, instead of agruing over it. Though Em knew most of the time it was only because Benjamin was goofing off, but the other time was because of his ego.

Emmylyne shook her head, taking a deep breath. "Because there n-not," She cried almost silently, but loud enough so she knew he'd hear her. She absolutely hated the question that was uttered, and reluctantly told him: "H-hes been gone for t-two months n-now," the young woman stuttered, wiping her own face even though the tears just wouldn't stop tumbling. "N-no one will t-tell me wher-where Ben is." Merlin! She couldn't be acting this way! She was suppose to stay stronger, for Lainie atleast!

Axel nodded. "I bet she would have loved that, although, knowing her, I bet she would have gotten into loads of trouble. She feels like she has to act the mother now. I mean, she's the only woman in the family, but she's still a girl. She's growing up way to fast. I want her to be a kid as long as possible," he explained.

He paused then spoke again, this time more softly. "She blames herself for the things that happened that night with my parents. She thinks it's her fault that Dusty can see Thestrals now. She wouldn't leave. She stayed to fight with us, and she almost got expelled, but they dropped the charges when they found out the whole story." That pained him the most. He hated that his sister tortured herself with those thoughts. She was a very strong girl, one of the strongest he'd ever met.

As his best friend broke down again, it just broke Axel's heart. Something terrible must be up. He grabbed her shoulders and squeezed them gently, trying to let her know that he was there. He scowled as she spoke. Ben? Where the hell was he?! "Was he on a job?" he asked. He knew Ben had become an auror like himself, but it always surprised him that they had never gotten a job together.

It tore him apart to see her crying. He moved closer to her and wrapped his arms around her, rubbing her back gently. Wow, Ben is gone and she hadn't heard from him in two months! That's not like him. That's not like him at all. This was definitely rough and he had no way of fixing it without going to find Ben himself.

Em shook her head. "I wouldn't have let her get introuble, Shes still a child. But, I can understand how she would feel like the mother, or feel that she needs to act it. Its just something most girls feel after losing parents, motherly instincts." Her tone was soft, as it hadn't changed at all. Her watery gaze was on the tree across the lawn, As she spoke.

"You have to get her to accept that it wasn't her fault, it had nothing to do with her. Remember that saying, Aggie always use to tell us? 'Everything happens for a reason,' Which is true, everything does happen for a reason, good and bad. N-no matter if we want to believe that or not," At this point, she didn't want to believe it, but still.. after all those years of visiting Agatha, she wouldn't stop. The elder woman had been very wise, and wonderful, For that, Em was greatful.

Having a hard time finding her voice, Emmylyne nodded to the question of was Ben sent on a job. "I-I hate that place. H-he promised to s-stay intouch and something is wrong I kn-know it." She managed to whisper, Sniffling slightly as she inhailed. It wasn't like Benjamin to go back on his words.. especially not like this.

Leanning into his hug, She couldn't help but feel the tinniest bit of comfort. Her tears had slowed, and were slowly stopping. As if she had just drained herself, "God.. I'm sorry Ax, I haven't changed since we l-left school, I swear that. I.. I just don't know what to do anymore, I can't handle it.."

Walking down the upstairs hall, now in his cozy navy blue pajama pants and long sleeved shirt, that had footballs, soccor balls, baseballs, ect. Very sporty, and just his style. Glancing to his twin sister whom was laying on her bottom-bunk bed, as he walked through the room, Julian ran a hand though his golden brown hair for a moment. "I want Emma to come back inside now.. I don't like how the teenagers downstairs are acting like they have control over us.. Telling us to get ready for bed," He informed her in a rather bitter tone, shaking his head. It wasn't okay in his book, they weren't adults and he only listened because he wanted to come upstairs anyways. "And Wyatts suppose to be keeping an eye on Lainie? Isn't it?" Jul added, raising an eyebrow as he plopped down on his own bed under Legends.

Playing with a curl, Kaitlynnh layed ontop of her soft bed. Still not feeling quite right after their'll little adventure, The young girl sat up more. Leanning against her pillows, "Simple fix.. Ignore them, I would. Grandmama said we have to listen to Em and Axel. Not anyone else.." She responded with a small nod of her head. There was no way she was going to be bossed around by just anyone, and couldn't imagine why JuJu would.

Her baby blue eyes widened in shock as her twin asked if Wyatt was suppose to be watching their neice. Was he not?! "Does he not have Lainie with him?" She asked quickly, sitting up straight.
Julian shook his head, "No, hes downstairs with Monica and that lot.."

Immediantely after getting her question answered, Kaitlynnh jumped up from her seat. Darting out of the room and down the hall, Juls following right behind.

And into Emmylynes room she went, peeking at the crib to see if Lainie was asleep before letting her brother turn the light on, the baby was awake.

"Hi Lainie," Katie cooed, leanning on her tiptoes as she tried to pick her neice up, whom was trying to make it easier by pressing herself against the crib bars as she stood difficultely.

Finally, somehow, she managed to get the baby out of her crib, without falling or hurting either of them.

"Aun Ka..." The child mumbled in an upset whine, becoming rather fussy, She was tired after all.

"What should we do with her?"

Well.. that was a no brainer, "Lets go take her to her mum, you'd like that wouldn't you Lain?" Julian asked the last part directing it to the little one his sister was holding.

Nodding her little head, as if understanding every word her uncle Jul said, Lainie let out a small "Yeshh.. Mamaaa seeeee."

Shrugging slightly, Kaitlynnh took that as a yes, like Julian and allowed him to head the way out of the room. "We'll go see your mum, don't be sad." Katie whispered, holding the baby close. As they went on it was getting rather hard, since Katie herself couldn't weight much, and the baby was probably around twenty pounds.

Nonetheless, thankfully with abit of help from Julian, they went downstairs carefully, without even upsetting the little one more. At the end of the stairs, they paused. Letting Jul get the baby from Katie.

Shifting the baby in his arms, slightly. Julian followed closely after his sister whom know looked as if she were chewing on a strand of hair as she led the rest of the way.

Reaching the door that led to the backyard, the young girl infront of him tried to open it, pressing her weight against it before it opened. Then let Jul go ahead, and stayed behind beside the open door, as Julian stepped carefully outside. Lainie still clinging to his neck.

"Errrrm, Sorry.. Emma," He mumbled, rather uncomfortably as he noticed his sister was still talking with Axel.. she seemed upset, but he didn't want to pry. And he already had a problem on his hands, or technically in his arms.

Oh, crap. Wyatt, they've gone and woken up Lainie after I had her asleep!" Monica said worriedly. She did not want Wyatt to get in trouble with Emmy, because he had done nothing wrong

"Yeah. Its a lot of fun when my sister plays soccer with me. We sometimes try and get Benny to play with us, but he is always busy." Danny said happily, thinking about his older siblings. He then began to miss them. Sammy and her energentic attutide. Benny and his older ways. He also missed his dad, who would probably be putting him to bed right now, with a smile on his face.

Hearing Jae talk about Gaelic soccer, took his mind off of his family for a moment. "You use your hands?" he asked amazed. "It sounds like Rigby or Rougby." he said trying to pronunce the sport where you fight over the ball in a kind of hudle. He was never great a pronuncing things.

"You get to watch him play? And he is a professional? Thats cool!" The six year old said. He thought that was awsome. He would love to go see him play sometimes. "You can teach me how to play?" he asked, getting excited again. He was warming up more and more to the older boy. He was glad he was here with him right now.

"What should we do tomorrow? Well, let's see. We could bake cookies, maybe, or do some decorating? Or maybe we could wrap some gifts? What do you girls want to do?"

While the others talked about what they wanted to do tomorrow and got their ice cream Wyatt went over to the table and plopped down into a chair, ruffling the front of his hair a little with one elbow on the table. "They didn't wake her up. they know better then that.." he muttered in response to what Monica said about the twins with Lainie. He was in trouble, knew it, and felt guilty since he was suppose to be watching her.

Jordan walked into the living room with Carissa and Brigitte. She watched as they sat down and started talking to each other. SHe then realized that she had forgotten something upstairs. She walked up there and opened her trunk. She pulled out her sketch pad and closed the trunk. Right then an owl flew in and sat down on her trunk. Jordan took the teh piece of parchment from it and then watched it fly away. She opened up the piece of paper and reconized her mother's hand writing.

"No bubba, you don't get it. They've already taken her out there To Emmyline. She'll be bursting in her at any minute, all mad!" She turned around and ran upstairs, her hair flying behind her. She flopped on her bed, too angry with the younger kids to do anything but cry in frustration.

Monica just sobbed. "I heard everything Julian said to Kaitlynnh on the baby monitor. I just can't believe he'd do this! He;s going to get Wyatt into trouble just because we left Laine in her crib sleeping."
