(Similar to my Fan Fic Watching in Silence but with different Characters and a slightly different plot line

Back again. I don’t understand why people get so excited about going back to school. Ok I guess when you’re a first year it’s exciting but after you have been at the same school with the same teachers and people for the past five years it loses its touch. So here I am, once again, on the Hogwarts express.
I was quite content sitting in my chair and looking out the window while my friends played some muggle game called ‘Truth or Dare’. Once I heard the rules I automatically said I wasn’t taking part because I knew nothing good could come from it. Although about twenty minutes after they had started to play my best friend Alice convinced me to join in for one game.
“Ok Hayley, it’s your turn, Truth or Dare?” Lauren asked me. I didn’t really like her. She always had to be the best at everything and was a stuck up snob but she was cousins with Alice so we couldn’t really kick her out of the group but her being here means that Jessica and Nikki, her followers as me and Alice call them, are also here. So it’s really just me and Alice who liked each other and the other three hated us back, who knows why they hang around with us but we just can’t seem to get rid of them.
“Oh come on do I seriously have to do this?” I looked at Alice, who glared at me and told me to pick one or she would hit me. You can never say no to Alice.
“Fine, I’ll do it, Truth.” To be honest I knew the question before she even asked it. She always asked me about him.
“Xavier Smith.” was all she said.
“You do know that’s not a question, right?” I said, getting annoyed at myself because the minute his name is mentioned I blushed. Ever since I started to date other guy’s people have started to think I had finally gotten over Xavier but I haven’t the only person that knows this is Alice but Lauren will never stop asking me about him.
“Ok, remember you have to tell the truth.” I nodded and she continued. “Would you be mad at me if I asked Xavier if he wanted to date me?” I instantly froze. Come on Hayley, play it cool.
“Why would I be angry? It isn’t like I like him anymore.” I couldn’t get my mouth to stop and before I knew it I was telling her:
“You know what? I’ll get you guy’s together.” Ok I’ve gone mad.
“Oh Hayley, that would be great! Can you go ask what he thinks about me?”
“What, right now?” I asked in shock.
“Yes. Go!” Then she pushed me out of the compartment and into the corridor in the train. I can’t believe I was about to ask the boy I was practical in love with what he thought about another girl.
I stopped outside the compartment he was in with his friends. I took a deep breath and walked in.
Hayley has been in love with Xavier since she first laid eyes on him but now that Lauren like him she worries that they will never be together because Lauren always gets what she wants.

But what they don’t know is that Lauren is slipping Xavier a love potion

Hayley is in her 5th year along with Lauren, Alice, Jessica and Nikki. Xavier and his friends are in 6th

Hayley is down to earth and smart. She has a good heart and thinks of other peoples happiness before her own. She is in love with Xavier and her only real friend is Alice.

"Yeah but we don't know if a love potion actually has been used on them or not. But if you can brew up a potion to reverse that one then you'd help a lot. And as for what keeps me grounded, that would be quidditch and DADA" replied Alex. Alex looked at Maddox. "Dude, not cool. But yes, it would be entertaining but we're only trying to get the old Xavier back, not embarass everyone else" he said.

"Right, sorry." Maddox mumbled. He finally had gotten reprimanded by a older student.He had wondered how long it would take them, seeing as Alex was a 6th year and had left him, Maddox, off so easily. "I , I just don't know how powerful these girls and Xavier are. Are they powerful- now you got me thinking, I don't want to cross them."

Jessie thought, hang on she said, nipping next door and picking up her travel bag, she brought it back next door and began to search through it, chucking her other books on the floor and her robes on the seat next to her, until she found it-she pulled open the tiny black book and began to search through it, until, yep should be fairly easy to make she said, thinking, yeah if I adjust the newts with toad then yeah that should work, she had enough brains to adjust the base potion at least, she looked up and watched Maddox dance, sweet she thought then shook her head, it was strange, she was actually starting to like this boy, he could be a good friend, particulary if he was in Slytherin, and as for effects she looked down at the book, well they are perfectly easy to create, you can make hair fall out, give her pimples, have a memory loss she frowned at Alex, look nothing would be permenant and it's not going to kill her to be shamed is it, Lauren had been starting to get on her wick, don't get her wrong she did like Lauren, but she was such a jar at the moment, she could do with a dose of realism, anyway, I can do both, she finished up, save one for later on perhaps?

"S'ok and I woudn't class Xavier as powerful. Just an egotistical maniac" replied Alex. Then he looked at Jessie. Totally a Slytherin. "Then let's do it. If you can make the potion, and do the effects Maddox wants to do, then we're good to go. Kinda. Then we need to slip them the potion" he replied.

Lauren is easy to slip, anyone else, you might have some trouble with, who do you want this for? she asked, pulling out her quil and scribiling down the things they were saying, the potions, the place where they would plan..

"Well we really only need it for the girls.They're obssessed with him and we'll just have to work on Xavier without a potion. He's so full of himself. We can only talk him round really" replied Alex. They could only make him see the impact of his popularity and what effect it was having on the real world.

Right so, all the girls or just a few? she asked, a whole house or year of girls would take an awfull long time to brew, not to mention how costly it would be to create litres of potion, but as she added it up in her head, it could be done, if she asked the potions teacher, she had always liked her and often let Jessie borrow the ingridients and stay after lessons and at break to brew something

"All the girls that are obssessing over him" replied Alex. That meant Lauren, everyone. They were all to caught up in Xavier's world to think about anything else. It was pathetic and annoying.

Yay Jessie murmered writing down ALL OFF YEAR!!!!! how she would do that she did not know, any particular time frame? she asked, hoping that this train journey would be over soon so she could start on this potion, besides she'd have to go and find Lauren and Nikki again before they smelled a rat

"Yeah thats her." Hayley said "But the reason I'm really here is to see how you thinkk of her Xavier." She said nearly slaping herself for acctully doing this. Maybe he would start to be around her more often though that would be better she thought but she would rather he would be around alot because of her and ot Lauren.

Maddox asked help from Alex to grab his trunk. He went off the train onto the platform. Maddox stood there, with his fellow short classmates and craned his neck to see a giant man with a black bushy beard and worn clothes. "First years follow me.! Other students you know the drill- use your carriages." The Hogwarts gamekeeper called out. "So see you later then, and don't forget, potion making ." Maddox told Jessie.

'Hey, sorry I was in a daydream, am I invited to these meetings?' Nikki hoped so, she couldn't bare to see anyone go through humiliation and Lauren had to be stopped. An obsession is never healthy. 'I would like to join, it sounds like quite a good plan.'

Maddox was in disbelief as he traveled the lake on a small, bobbing boat. He was soon enough inside the castle, walking inside a big hall, 4 benches lined up with empty plates for each eager student. He stood very still as a Professor with a pointed hat came around, holding a piece of paper. She called out names, Avery Jade, Cal Seth.... Vanni Tori, Whetton George... Woodler Maddox... He froze up in place, slowly he walked up to the stool, the ragged hat falling over his forehead...

Yeah but so am I Jessie said, getting defensive and standing next to Nikki, yes you can join Nikki, you can help me with the potion, we're going to meet in the room of requirment on certain days she smiled at her, then turned to Maddox, look she said reading Maddox face, she's not going to tell Lauren, neither am I, so is that good enough for you? she asked annoyed, no one tried to get one over on her friends unless she was involved, and besides she said her tone softening again we need more people and Nikki's good for ideas arn't you Nik

That was not what she wanted to hear. "Well thats kinna the reason I'm here. She likes you and wants to date you." she said inwardly cringing that she had just said that. She was trying really hard for it not to show that this was difficult for her to hear since she had basically been in love with him for ages.

"Don't bother me about time frames" replied Alexander. He didn't really care, just as long as they got Xavier back to normel and the girls to quit obessessing over him.

Right, so it doesn't need to be done really soon? she asked, scribiling out the "time frame" note and instead focassed on changing around the ingridients so they fitted the potion they wanted

Yelled the hat. Maddox was relieved it was all over, he went to the table in the far right, where a group of silver and green robed students stood, clapping for him...

Alex looked up as Slytherin was shouted out. "Cunning kid alert. And no it doesn't really matter, but preferably within the next few months. We need Xavier back to normal and those girls a freaking me out" he replied. He shuddered at the thought of them.

Jessie nodded and watched Maddox run over to the Slytherins, ok so fairly soon, well that shouldn't take to long, I mean the potions not that complex, she looked to the staff, exactly the same potions professor, she smiled yeah shouldn't take too long, me and Nikki can work on it in the evenings almost straight away
