Lily Evans didn't know what she had gotten herself into when she agreed to stay with James Potter over the summer break. Her parents were making arrangements for Petunia Evans, and Vernon Dursley’s wedding. Lily wasn't a fan of Vernon Dursley or his family, and she wasn’t a fan of the arrangements that Petunia had helped to make. Petunia, had of course found her Diary, which she had written, “I hate James Potter” on the first page, and so to tick Lily off, she purposefully made her stay with him. How will her summer escapades and rampant mischievousness change her life, and how will they effect her feelings for a certain, James Potter.
NOTE: ONLY FIRST POST IS FROM THE SUMMER, IT STARTS IN THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.
Plot Information:
In the beginning Lily isn't fond of James Potter or his actions, but in the end she warms to him, and eventually the school year begins. This begins in the tail-end of the summer, but the first post is a basic motticum of emotions that Lily felt in the beginning of the summer before her new experience evolved into a whole new destiny. A Destiny that included a certain James Potter, as her new-found-love in her last and final seventh year at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

SPOILER!!: Dear Diary
Dear Diary,
Petunia has made me stay over-summer with the Potters, how weird is that? She got a hold of my Diary that I forgot at home over the school year and in it, the first words were "I HATE JAMES POTTER". I feel really bad about it now, because I know I don't Hate James anymore, he was so oddeningly kind to me over the past month. We've only got three more weeks of summer break left, and I wonder what will happen between us considering my change-of-heart and his so clear obsession with being around me and wanting to well, date me.
~Lily Evans
PS. I think I might possibly like him.
Lily read the note she had written the week before and smiled, today some of her friends were showing up and they were attempting to help her through the end of the month and the end of the summer break. She really loved the Potter's home it was such a beautiful building with a magical inside-litterally, the inside was enchanted so its expanse was much larger than that it looked like it would be from the outside. It looked quaint from the outside, and on the inside it was quaint, but still oh-so-lavish.
Lily walked out of her room in the Potter's home putting her Diary on the end of her bed and locking it quickly. She walked down the stairs and out the back kitchen-door of the house. Where a small crystal-clear pond was visible there were no creatures like Giant Squids or Grindylows in the water here it was so beautifuly an Azure water. She walked to the waters edge and looked at all the small fish swimming around, she loved watching the water as much as she loved dazing off into fire-places.
She heard a slight hoot and looked up seeing a tawny owl with a letter about its leg. Taking the letter and opening it, she realized it was the Hogwarts leters.
Reading the letter she almost screamed. "I'VE GOT HEAD!" She yelled out in shock, she was head girl for her year. Head Girl! She wondered who Head Boy would be and assumed James would not be him, if it was James she would probably feint or blink at him repetatively saying "thats impossible!" Because it really was impossible.
She smiled and heard the door bell ring, walking to the door and opening it she smiled welcoming all the visitors into the home, it wasn't like James's parents would mind. They were constantly off on buisness, which made it possible for them to--well, have many moments alone in their large home. One morning, she had woken and found him gazing at her, and as she stood up, he walked over and planted a kiss on her lips. That was the day she realized she had feelings for him. The day she realized she actually was quite fond of James Potter.

Lily looked over to James, who was jumping in the air, and laughed. As he stopped and ran over to her she smiled.
"Me? Not really thinking of much to be honest, I'm just relaxed you know? I feel, happy, honestly happy for the first time in well forever it seems!" She smiled, looking up at the sky, there weren't many clouds anymore and the rain ahd gone. The earth, damp, and oh that made her nose tingle happily.
"Also, that I am going to be happy," She smiled, looking over to him. "You were always so happy even when I wasn't giving you the time of day - or was that all an act?"

"I'm just generally a happy person. It's never an act. Well... sometimes it is but not often. I can't lie and say that you not giving me the time of day made me sad, but I knew that one day I would get you to finally notice me." James smiled at her.
"See it happened and I was right. I think I'm psychic. Wouldn't be the first time I got a prediction right. In third year I was passing Divination with flying colours. I even saw in the crystal ball." It was true. James had been fantastic in Divination.
James still remembered what he had saw. Hogwarts, burning, in a war. He didn't recognise the people though so had assumed it was long after his time.
Alex looked over at Lucien. His stomach started to growl. "You know what, I think I'm going to head down to the kitchen to get something to eat. Wanna join me Luci?" He pushed himself up off of his bed and slipped his shoes on his feet. He looked in the mirror and fixed his hair. It had gotten all messed up while he was laying down.

Lily rolled her eyes as he brought up the idea of being psychic - she wasn't ever really a believer in prophecies of well psychic abilities in general. That is, unless there was credible evidence to it - if someone said The dark lord will try and kill ever muggle she'd believe it. Her parents got killed by his minions. She sighed, feeling guilty about her happiness.
"James, I can't," her voice was small, meak, powerless no bravato, no strength. "I can't do this, do us - its too soon...I feel guilty... how am I able to be happy when they are dead?"
She asked, tears beginning to stream down her cheek, before he could respond she'd gotten up off of the bench and walked to the castle. "I'll talk to you tonight, okay its just - I just need to think." She spoke walking down into the school she ran down the stairs to the kitchens and creeped into the room, quietly before anyone else had arrived.

Luci nodded, "Sure, I'll you mate," Lucien nodded, looking over and seeing Alex fixing his hair made him feel like he himself looked bad as often times Lucien forgot to do the regular maintenance on his looks - not the important things like bathing. He did that often, but fixing his hair mid way through the day.
He smiled, looking in the mirror Lucien looked fine no hair to fix. Walking over to the door he turned to his mate, "maybe the house elves will cook you up something special." He chuckled, the house elves seemed to love him, and Lucien and not Potter - who caused them to clean all the time.

James watched Lily run off, his eyes full of worry and guilt. Had he done something wrong.
Walking into the castle, he searched for someone to chat to, eventually seeing Peter and Remus talking.
"Hey mates." James said, slumping on the seat next to Remus.
Remus saw James depressingly sit down next to him. "Hi James, what's wrong?" Remus asked.
James sighed. "Lily is feeling guilty about being happy with me when her parents have recently died. Or at least that's how I interpreted it. I don't really know."
Luci nodded, "Sure, I'll you mate," Lucien nodded, looking over and seeing Alex fixing his hair made him feel like he himself looked bad as often times Lucien forgot to do the regular maintenance on his looks - not the important things like bathing. Alex grinned. "Good. I could use the company." Before he wanted to be alone, but now company sounded good. Especially since Lucien would bad mouth Potter with him. Maybe they could find a pretty girl on their way down there. It would make it more fun and his perfect hair more worthwhile.
Alex chuckled at Lucien looking in the mirror. The boy always did stuff like that after he did. No one's looks could EVER compare to Alex's though. No one's. "Sounds good. All I'd have to do is ask and I get whatever I want."
Alex headed towards the door and started to walk down to the common room. "Let's go Luci!!" He called back up the stairs. "Your face can't look any better than that!"
Alice was holding all of her books as she walked into the room. She fumbled and caught herself only dropping one book in the process. "Oh bugger." As she reached down to pick up the book she heard fighting going on and she saw... the healer? What in Merlin's name had she missed.
Rubbing her nose free of any dirt Alice Longbottom clumsly tried to pick herself off the floor with books in hand. She failed once more.
"Seriously? Ugh." The brunette blew a straw piece of her short hair out of her eyes. This was unnecessarily difficult.
She let out a soft, "Excuse me? Would, uh, anyone like to help?"

Luci smiled, laughing at Alex's comment, running down to the common room he heard, someone a female's voice asking for help. Looking over he saw Alice, the very clumsy, very adorable Alice - maybe she was the exact medicine that Alex needed?
He thought running over to her, "Here you go," he smiled picking up her book for her - accidentally knocking his head into hers at the sametime. "Ruddy hell, normally I laugh at that but that hurts."
He laughed once more, "You alright?" He asked. "We were heading to the kitchen's if you'd like to put your books on the table and join us?" He offered, casting Alex a quick glance, one that read c'mon maybe SHE is what you need?
Litterally, two minutes after Alice walked into the common room, Lily walked in. Tears pouring down her cheeks - and these weren't because of Potter. She caught sight of Alex, but him not talking to her earlier made her feel, he didn't want to talk to her.

Alice looked up at the two boys who were standing a little far off. She was about to call out to them to help her pick up her books, but Lucien seemed to read her mind. "Thanks a load-" But she never finished her sentence. The two budded heads and Alice flinched in pain. She began to rub her forehead where she had been hurt. "Ow."
When he offered to have her join them down in the kitchen Alice looked away shyly. These two had never spoken to her before. She only ever really talked to some of the girl's in her dorm. Alice was not the most out going individual.
"Um... okay? Why are you going down there anyway?"
Just as she was about to leave she saw Lily Evans. She had always been really nice to Alice when no one else was. She was crying...
"Lily are you okay?" Alice called after her, but Lily was on a mission it seemed to not be in that area.

Sirius smiled as Gin leaned into his hold, resting her head on his arm in the cruk of his shoulder. It felt good to be so close, somehow better even from when she had laid over his lap only a short while ago when they were back in the Gryffindor common room. "So sorry...I'll remember next time," he spoke in jest as he looked down at her face framed by auburn hair. It seemed, for now at least, that he and his best mate were destined to be claimed by those of the firey redheaded variety.
"Well then in that case I too am thankful to miss a prank for once," the Marauder admitted. "Wow...that felt weird," he mused afterwards before laughing at the whole ubsurdity of it.

Lily, looked over to Alice and smiled. "I'm fine, I was an idiot." She exclaimed, walking over she told Alice how she and James had started dating together - then felt guilty about it, which why should she feel guilty her parents would have loved it for her to be happy. Which she was. And that she had broken up with him - and didn't know if he'd take her back.
Gin chuckled, "No next time its okay to notice it, I mean you already noticed that." Gin smiled up at him, as he looked down at her face. Leaning forward she rested her head in the crook of his neck.
"It felt weird saying it here as well," Gin commented about how odd it felt to say that missing a prank was good she was usually anti-missing pranks. "This, feels right you know, you are really comfortable" she admitted her cheeks flashing quite crimson.

Alice was never really good with personal situations. Especially including upset people. Maybe it was because she was so awkward and tried to avoid conflict at all times. But that was besides the point. Now she had an upset Lily Evans venting to her. Alice was never really the best girl talk kind of girl, but Lily's green eyes seem to plead with her for some kind of comfort.
She was going to give it her best shot. And when she was done maybe they both could go down to the kitchen with Alex and Lucien. They were nice, "Uh, well, I think that you are a very nice person. And nice people make mistakes too. I mean, uh, you see, James isn't the best and smartest bloke in the world. He makes mistakes and, uh, you dated him. Whatever it is that you think he will not take you back for is, um, dumb. I say, go and talk to him. Or spend the rest of your life asking 'what if'?"
"Thank you Alice," Lily smiled quickly hugging her. "I know you don't like doing the advice thing its just, your a good friend, and I'll be here for you no matter what." She smiled.
"I'll go talk to him." Lily nodded, leaving the common room, yet again and running to where she'd last seen James - the entrance hall.
"James! James" she called, running over to him, "I- I'm sorry, I think I just needed a moment to well...be sad, and I'm sorry I didn't mean it. Please take me back."

Lily saw James, and felt her stomach do a somersault maybe she did love him, she just didn't want to hurt him.
Walking over to James, she stopped in front of him, her eyes soft, understanding, sorry, every mix of emotion you could possibly think of pouring into him through her eyes. Mainly, she looked sorry, hopeful, and understanding. But there was a slight twinge of regret. Something you would hardly ever see off one Miss Evans
"James," she walked over to him - the had litterally met half way, half-way even between the third and fourth floors on the stairs. "James, I'm sorry" she repeated and with a jolt of the stair beginning to move was thrust onto him because of fear and gravity combined.

James looked up and saw an apologetic Lily in front of him. Hearing her apologize, he smiled at her, about to reply when the stairs moved and she fell into his arms.
He caught her and it was all dandy for about 2 seconds before he lost his footing and started falling backwards. Falling down the small amount of stairs left onto the third corridor, James was lying on the ground, Lily on top of him.
His head hurt. Like really hurt. Standing up, or trying to, he picked the unharmed Lily up, putting a hand to the back of his head and felt blood.
"Damn. Lily, you know any healing spells?" He asked, pointingto the back of his head. "This blood is making my hair ruined." Yep, that was at the tops what he was worrying about. His perfect hair. Well that and his seemingly unharmed Lily.
"James, of course I do" Lily nodded, her voice focused - she seemed intent on healing the poor fool. "Oh please, you running your hand through it all the time does that more." She joked, trying to lighten the situation as she cast a small healing spell - then quickly she scurgify'd all the blood out of his hair.
"Better?" She asked, honestly concerned.

"Thanks." James replied, putting a hand to the back of his head and feeling the blood gone and no wound. He winced as he pressed it.
"Gonna get a bruise but it's all good. Me running my hand through my hair makes it all the more amazing." To prove his point he ran a hand through his hair.
"Oh and Lily, I forgive you for all that stuff before." He gave her a quick kiss on the lips.
Lily chuckled, after he kissed, her, smiling laughing feeling suddenly brave - braver than brave she leaned forward slowly, very slowly she moved to kiss him but stopped poised no less than a centimeter from his lips. She was, in a sense teasing him, but in a playful and fully normal way. "I'm sorry you got hurt," she smiled. Brushing a hand through his hair, it was fun to do, she had to admit but probably felt better when she did it.

"See how amazing running your hand through my hair is." James commented as she ran her hand through his hair.
"Though I must say you do it completely wrong. It's the opposite way to make my hair perfect. The way you do it messes it up - and not in a good way." He said seriously for a moment, before grinning at her. Taking her hand, he led it through his hair, doing it the correct way.
"See?" He said, running his own hand through it. "That is the way you do it." He finished, kissing her lightly on the lips.
Lily smiled, as James corrected her hand as it pulled gently through his hair. It was adorable really, that he cared about his hair - but then again she had a vague memory of calling someone fuzzball in first year durring a fight. It was probably him.
As he leaned in and kissed her she couldn't help but press fruther into his lips. Pulling it from an innocent, or seemingly innocent peck on the lips to a full out passionate kiss. Oh she loved those slow passionate ones the most.
"Mmm, yes, that is better feeling." She smiled, looking him up in the eyes, "James was it you that I called a fuzzball in first year - in an, er fit of rage?" She asked, blushing.

Fuzzball? "I don't think so." James said, thinking hard. He never remembered being called fuzzball. Suddenly remembering the situation he gasped.
"I remember what happened!" For some reason he sounded excited about it. "You were having an argument with Sirius and you called him a fuzzball because he got angry at you gettign food in his hair. Ha, it was hilarious!"

Alex looked over at Luci who was now next to the wonderful beautiful Alice Page. She looked like she could use some help so Alex went to join Luci.
He smiled at her as she got up. He saw her rub her forehead. Alex really didn't know what to say so he smiled. Alex nodded as Luci invited her to join. It seemed Luci was capable of reading minds and Alex would have to start watching his thoughts. "Your always welcome to join us lovely." And time to pour on the charm...
"Me being the idiot I am decided not to stay at dinner. So we're going to the kitchens to see if the house elves will make us anything." Talking about food made Alex hungrier. But waiting for a pretty girl would be just fine with him and his perfect self.
And then Lily walked in. Crying. He was going to ask if she was okay but Alice beat him to it. And then she was over by Potter and he was NOT going over there. "Let's go down to the kitchens already. I'm starving." His eyes were still on Lily and Potter. You could tell that the boy was hurting.
"Got that, c'mon Alice we'll have some fun begging those little wonderful house elves for food." Lucien joked smiling. Yes Lucien was up to something. Lucien glared over to Potter's directection and walked over to the portrait hole door.
"Mate," Lucien whispered, "she already broke up with him once - the first day...its not going to last - just rejoice in that."
Lily laughed, remembering now that it had happened in the great hall, - at the first day feast and it was most hillarious. A big pile of mashed potato had decided to lob it self off her fork and into the bloke across from her's hair. A most miserable Sirius Black.
"Aw, I called him Fluffy up until fourth year," Lily remarked with a giggle.
