Hi, My name is Sophie, or Soph if you like. This is my first ever Fan Fic and I'm so nervous to see what you think. I don't own anything in the Harry Potter world but a HUGE thanks to JK Rowling who does and does such a good job at brining the characters to life through all her fab Harry Potter books.

So here's whats happening. Sirius has just died and Harry is returning to the burrow before school starts back. Only difference is that I've made Harry and Ginny go out with each other in the last few weeks of school like just after Sirius death and that Dumbeldore has already told Harry of his task he will have set for him when he returns to Hogwarts, oh yeah, and Bill and Fleure's wedding is THIS summer instead of it being the following year. So this story follows Harry and Ginny over the next few years at Hogwarts and we follow the story as they rekindle their relationship so this is a Harry/Ginny Fan Fic

So here goes...

Chapter 1

It was all set. Harry was to arrive at the burrow tonight.

I don't know how I feel about this. On one hand, it will be safe for him here untill we all leave to go back to Hogwarts where he will complete Dumbeldore's task but on the other it's difficult for me to be around him. After we broke up my whole world came crashing down. My life is black hole without him and as much as I want to see him, it will leave me heartbroken if something bad happens at this dangerous time in the wizarding community.
You see, after the fight at the mnistry, Dumbeldore told Harry that there was only one way to destroy Voldemort, that is destroying the Horouxes he has made. So Harry this year at Hogwarts is to attempt to defeat the Voldemort-again. So that is why Harry and I are no longer, because of Voldemort.
I remember how sick I felt when he left me, apparently in order to "protect" me. I don't need protecting! I need him. He is the only thing that could hurt me and he did. Hermionie tells me it out of love, yeah well, love sucks in my opinion. I'm sure he didn't intentionly mean to hurt me, but he did. It only makes it worse when he talks to me just like when we were friends. I can't stand the politness of the tone of his voice. I would just gaze into those emerald eyes whie listening to his tenor voice. It inflicted pain upon me but I felt close to him, because I knew he was right there with me. Mum was so worried at first. She told me it was for the best "Things like this happen for a reason, Dear," she would say "Your lucky Harry cares so much about you." I would turn away and cringe at the sound of his name. We haven't seen each other in so long, well about two weeks but thats a long time for us to be apart.

Harry arrived just after 7pm accompanied by order member Kingsley Shacklebolt. Mum pulled him into a tight hug saying how wonderful it was to see him. He shook my dads hand then looked at me. I looked back with an expresionless face showing no sign of emotion. I could feel tears welling up in my eyes. I looked down at the floor and I felt myself being pulled toward him in a weak but friendly hug. I inhaled deeply. I was home. Back in Harry's arms. The famous Harry smell incircled me but he let go too soon. Everyone watched carefully to see how I would react. I looked up avoiding everyones stairy eyes, shrugged, smiled weakly then continued to the sitting room.

"Dinner!" Mum shouted. I put my book down and made my way to the dinner table. Harry went for the same seat as me. I tryed to show no sign of emotion but failed when I breathed out heavily and shook my head. Why me? Why does he have to make this unbearably painful than it already is? I turned to go to the furthest away seat. "Gin," he pulled out the chair and gestured with his hand for me to sit. It saddend me when he called me Gin. Only called me that. "Thank you." I replied, in an emotionless tone and obediently I sat down and ate my dinner in silence.

Chapter 2

Later that Night...

Kingsley left the Burrow as soon as Hary was settled in. Hermionie had arrived shortly after dinner. Her arrival seemed to lighten up a rather moody Ron. I don't understand why Harry and Hermionie put up with his sulky attitude
I was in the spare room with Hermionie. She was unpacking a few nessesities for her short visit. "So," she said "...How've you been, Ginny? You didn't put much in the letters"
"I won't lie to you, Hermionie, I've been better," I said in a flat tone and I shrugged as I stared up at the celling trying to hold back tears. I knew where the conversation was going.
"Oh Ginny," Hermionie stopped what she was doing and came over and sat down beside me. She wrapped her long boney arms around my shoulders and I broke into tears. "It's so hard to face him," I sobbed "I can't look at him and when I do, I feel like I've been punched in the stomach. It hurts to be in the same room as him. He said it's for the best. How is this better than when we were together. I don't know about him, but this is know good for me Hermionie. If only he knew. I mean,I..I..I"
"Ginny," she smoothed down my hair "you have no idea how much this hurts Harry. Your his everything. Your all he talks about, when Rons not there obviously, but this is why he's doing this, for you. He has to defeat Voldemort and this is the only way he can. It will be tough for both of you, but once this is over you both can get on with your lives, without Voldemorts annual interuptions. Harry loves you Ginny. Trust me."

Hermionie and I contiued talking and laughing. I was winding her up about how Ron liked her and we both burst out laughing.We were interupted with a knock on my room door. We both coposed ourselves before I opened it.
It was Ron. We both started laughing again. He looked at us with a puzzled expression. "Um... Mum sent me up. She's made tea and said you've to come down for some before bed." He bounded back down the staris
"Put on a brave face for Harry." Hermionie said with a smile. I nodded in agreement before pulling a jumper on over my pyjama top and slipping on my slippers before heading downstairs.

Chapter 3- Part 1

I woke with the sun glaring through the blinds. I rolled over onto my side. My alarm clock blinked 7:30am. I gazed around my bedroom. "Good morning Ginny." Hermionie said. "Morning" I replied only half awake . I sat up and looked round the room "Are you comming down to help?" Hermionie was already up and dressed. She sat at my dressing table brushing her hair.
"With..." I asked dazed and confused
"It's Harry's birthday and your mums having a special birthday brunch. Plus there's last minuet plans for Bill and Fleur's Wedding. Fleur's Parents and sister arrive tomorrow." Yuck. Can't say I think much of Gabrielle. She should know that Harry will never be her's and that he only has eye's for me.
"Oh yeah. Do me a favour. There's a gift bag in my cupboard. It's for Harry. Can you take it down to the kitchen with you. I'll be down in five" Hermionie left the room and I climbed out of bed, stretched and put on a navey top, tights and navey and white skirt. I walked out of my room and across the hall to the bathroom. I tied my hair back and washed my face with hot water. Then I brushed my teeth and rinsed with cool minty mouthwash. I now felt quite awake. I joined my mum, dad and Hermionie in the kitchen. Mum, once again had outdone herself. She must have made enough to feed fifty, but then again we've got Ron to feed!
Harry came sleepily down stairs followed by Ron. "Happy Birthday Harry!" Hermionie handed him a small bag. "It's for when we leave," she told him as he unwraped it. "I find that writing all my thought and feelings down in a diary helps plus that is possible the most interesting book I've ever read"
"Thank you Hermionie. I love it" The diary was beautiful. It had a leather cover and the book was about magical creatures. It looked very interesting. I'm sure Harry will enjoy reading it.
"Happy Birthday Mate." Ron said while handing him a rather small peculiar box. It was well wrapped in shiny red paper with a golden bow, which made me think who wrapped it because it obviously wasn't Ron. Harry opened it carefully. "I couldn't think what to get you so it's the broom polish PLUS and I O U." but that was just an act. I knew fine well what Ron had got Harry. A book called 'Fail Safe Ways to Charm Witches.' and I only knew that because I was with himwhen he bought it. He was obviously embarrased about what Mum and Hermionie would think of him getting him a gift like that.
"Thanks Ron. You shouldn't have" Harry said laughing.
"No bother ,Mate" I just glared at Ron and Herionie rolled her eyes. I was about to had Harry his birthday gift when Ron but in and said "Aw, Mum what's for breakfast? I'm famished!"
"Yeah, cauz you look starved, Ron!" I glared at him. He gets in the way of everything!
"Geez, Ginny. What's with the attitude? What's the problem?"
"Your face, Ron. You git!" I stormed out the door and into the garden. This was too much. He is so insensitive sometimes!
"Ronald!" Hermioie tutted
"What did I do. It's not my fault she's in a bloody bad mood! Time of the month or what!" I heard him mutter.
"RONALD!" I heard her scream "Ginny's right. You are an insensitive git!"

Hello Sophie. Wonderful post! It was hard to see them get in trouble, but you're right, they needed to get caught. I'm glad they took it so well, and also, you did very good with Harry refusing Ginny to come with him to look for the Horcrux's. It really isn't up to Harry to say she can go. She is still underage, and under her parents thumb still.

I had a bad dream. I woke to the quilt covers wrapped snuggly around my body. I searched for Harry's arms but they wern't there. I opened my eyes quickly and sat up straight. I noticed all his belongings were gone too. I called out or him. "Harry! Harry!" He came running into my bedroom dripping wet with a towel wrapped around his lower half-obviously just out the shower.
"Gin, Whats wrong?" He said looking anxious and worried.
"I...I...I had a bad dream. You were gone then I woke up and you wern't there and...and. Oh bloody hell Harry,"
"Ginny," He sat beside me on the bed and took my hands in his. "I told you last night, I promise I won't leave you. We tried that before Ginny, and it didn't work out to well, Remember?" I nodded. He lay back on the bed pulling me with him, wraaping his arms around me. He smoothed my hair out and stroked my cheek. Hermione barged into our room. Doesn't anyone know the art of knocking? "Come on you two. You'll be late for breakfast. Ron and I are leaving in five. Or if you're not ready, we'll get you at the table." She closed the door behind her and I jumped off the bed and into the shower. When I came out I quickly dressed and tidied the bathroom quickly. Harry came into my room, still fussing with his tie. I walked over to him and helped him. "What are you like?" I smiled. He responded by wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me onto the bed. He rolled over so he was on top of me and kissed me . He pulled away and smiled, "OK, I'm quite finished now." He told me, taking my hand and pulling me off the bed with him as he got up. We walked out the dorm together and made our way to the Great Hall. I could see people look and whisper to their fellow students as they noticed Harry and I walk hand in hand to the Gryffindor table. But I must say , I wasn't too bothered that Harry and I seemed to be the talk of the school. One thing I did notice though was the furious look and the jelousy boiling up on Cho Changs face. She pretended to igrore the fact that Harry and I were together, but she couldn't help steal a few glances in our direction. Harry walked me to my first class of the day, Herbology. He kissed me at the door then made his way to Dumbledore's office. After Herbology, I walked out the class to find Harry leaning against the wall waiting on me. He hugged me then took my hand. I could tell that something was up. Maybe it was the way that he held my and too tightly and that he hugged me too long and protectivly when he greeted me after class? I was off second, but I knew he was not, however he continued out to the school grounds. He finally spoke. "Dumbledore gave me the period off."
"Oh...Ok...Umm....Why?" I asked
"Well, It seems that Professor McGonagll informed Dumbledore about us...and when I told him you wern't coming away with us, he said I could have this period off to discuss whats going to be happening." Harry stopped talking and lay down on the ground. He pulled me down beside him. He kept one arm wrapped tightly around my body and I wrapped both of mine around him refusing any space between us.
"So what is there to tell, Harry?" I whispered against his chest.
"Nothing you didn't already know. Although, I'm leaving in two days." He told me.
I sat up quickly. "Two Days! Two Days! We've only just got here!" He sat up to join me.
"I know, and I'm not happy about it either Ginny."
"How long will you be gone?" I asked suddenly frantic. I knew he was going, but I didn't relise it was so soon. I began to feel all the happiness and life drain away from my body. I was scared, but I had to be strong for Harry. I couldn't begin to imagin how he was feeling. My emotions got the better of me and tears began to escape from my eyes.
"I don't know Gin." He pulled me tightly against him.
"It won't be for too long. You'll be back for the beginning of October at least, won't you?"
"I don't know." He replied. "But when I do come back, I'll won't be doing any school work. I won't be attending classes this year either. Which means one good thing is coming out of this."
"What?" I asked
"I'll be comming back with you again next year." He said with a smile in his voice. So there was something to look forward to.
We stayed cuddled together for the full hour. So much for it being a study period. He would be back soon. Its only a month untill the begining of October... Yeah, keep telling yourself that...ONLY a month!

Please don't hate me...I know he leaves and its all say and stuff so it gets just a tad depressing but we need to stick by Ginny. So please tell me what you think...Thanks,

This was a good post. Let's hope Ginny copes and doesn't go mental or anything. Or someone bad (DEAN THOMAS) doesn't annoy her. I had forgotten about the Dean/Lavvypan incident but when Harry goes everything will start back again.

Well I don't know if it just males I know, but if something bad has happened or they have done something bad, but they tell you by just slipping it into the conversation. Please anyone don't think that I'm sexist-I'm not! But it's just something I've noticed. I thought it'd be a nice wee touch

Post 25

"I love you Ginny, so much." He had his arms tight around my waist.
"I love you too Harry. Come back as quickly as you can." I told him. I was trying to disguse me fear with sarcasim. "And make sure you kick Voldemorts butt. Keep safe. Oh I love you Harry." I told him kissing him passionatly in front of proffessor Dumbledore and McGonagll. Harry was overwhelmed at the surprise passion but kissed me back with just as much enthouisiasim. "Can I send her Owls Proffessor?" Harry asked Dumbledore as he broke away. I looked up at the headmaster hopefull.
"I'm afraid you'll be unable to do so, Harry. Sorry. But time is of the essance and you must be on your way". I said my final goodbyes to them and kissed Harry and hugged him tighter that ever. "I'm going to miss you so much Ginny." He told me.
"How will I sleep at night without you to cuddle. A pillow won't be the same." Proffessor McGonagll gave us a stern look.
"I'll pretend I didn't hear that." She said smiling but serious at the same time. "But seriously, it must stop!"
"Love you Ginny."
"Love you too Harry" Then he disappeared along with Hermione and Ron. I broke down into tears screaming his name. "HARRY! HARRY! COME BACK HARRY! DON'T LEAVE ME! HARRY!" but he was gone. There was nothing I could do but wait untill he came back.
"Oh come, dear child." I heared professor McGonagll in the background. I felt myself being lifted, but then as I put on my feet on the ground, my legs colapsed, everything went black and I fell to the soft green grass.

"Ginny, Honey, wake up." my eyelids fluttered "Mum! She's awake! Mum."
"Ginny!" I heard my mother but I was being hugged so tightly, I couldn't breathe.
"I... can't breathe..." My voice was hoarse. Mum was hugging me tightly though her arms wern't comferting like Harry's
"Oh sorry dear. Go get Madame Promfrey Charlie."
"Charlie?"
"Yes, Dear, Charlie is here. He missed is flight back to Romania"
"Poppy! We've got oursel's a fainter. Oh 'iya Mrs.Weasley an' theres yer' Charlie. How you gettin' on wif them dragons? And hows you gettin' on Ginny? Feelin' bett'r" Hagrid came in carrying Lavender in his big chunky arms and placed her gently on a bed. Madame Pomfrey gave her a once over and a spoonfull of a glowing pink potion. Her eyes fluttered open as she came around. She began to monover herself off the bed. She spotted me with my mother and Charlie then smirked and began to yell, "The baby, Someone help! The baby!" She looked up at Madame Promfrey.
"Miss.Brown, please sit down. There are other sick patients besides yourself, and I will have to give you my diagnosis first, as I have nothing on your record to say there is a baby, though I must ask, if you are with child, how much longer do you plan to stay on at school?" She asked Lavender.
"Well I'm showing but I think people just think I'm getting fat. I'm four months. I've not really had morning sickness, but I've had plenty of cravings! It seems to be the chocolate fudge cake. I've been eating three to four pieces every night! Its so delightful" She gazed around the hospital wing at the small audiance and spotted my mum. "Mrs.Weasley, I assume Ron told you the news? Where is he? Someone should go and find him?"
My poor mother looked as puzzled as ever. "Tell me what?"
"About our baby ofcourse." She said as she pulled her school shirt up slightly to reveal a tiny bump. It was barely a bump. It was tiny. Minescule. She could easily just tell people she's put on a bit of weight instead of telling the whole school about the pitter patter of little feet because personally, I was affronted.
"May," I said aloud. "June, July, August, September" I counted the months aloud. "Wait, you split up with Ron in May and thats when you concieved. It can't be Ron."
My mum was still in shock. "Actually, I split with Ronikins at the end of May so practically the start of June, and I was four months exactly the day we came back to school so there you go work that out Weasley."

"He didn't Charlie, He told me he didn't."
"So you knew?" My mum asked.
"Yes, but Ron swore me to secrecy. And hold on but why am I in here?"
"You passed out Ginny," Charlie told me. "Just after...just...after they left. The school were worrided so they sent an owl to the burrow." He said in a hushed tone so only himself, mum and I could hear.
"And your here already?" I asked looking down, fighting my tears as I remembered the tearful farewell.
"Actually, Ginny, It's been three days." Charlie told me
"And thats another thing! I told that boy not to do anything stupid or recless, but allready a week into the new term he's taken of to do whatever it is he's doing and at the same time, concieved my first grandchild! When that boy gets back, he's in big trouble!" Mum said to herself.
"Mum, I told you Lavender is a bit wild, so its not true. Where's dad?" I asked
"He was here, but he had to get back for work." Charlie said to me. He waited a few seconds before speaking again. "When will they be back?" He asked. I shrugged. but gave up the fight with my already watering eyes.
"Don't know. Soon I hope." Then I burst into tears silently, letting the salty water escape from my eyes like a waterfall. Charlie craddled me in his arms.
"They told me they wern't going to go!" Mum barked.
"Mum," I moaned. "They've been planning this all summer. Dumbledore specifically asked Harry if he would do the task. He's the only one that can... He's, The Chosen One" I smiled with complete adoration. "That is why Hermione's face was stuck in books all summer. She was researching what they need.... Do you know what? I've said too much." Charlie winked at me. He knew what I was on about. Anyone who needs someone to talk to, confinds in Charlie and I knew that is exactly what Ron had did. We were all about to crack with all the secrets at some point.
"Ginny, when will they be back? They are going to miss out on so much school work." Mum was overreacting
"Mum stop worrying about silly little things. You should only be concerned about their safety. Dumbledore said they could stay on next year 'cause they will fall behind. Mum its important they do this. I don't know when they'll be back but trust them, please." I tried to reason with her.
Madame Pomfrey came over to my bedside. "Miss Weasley," she said to me "You will be free to go tomorrow morning then its straight back to class." She put some green potion in a cup. "Drink." She said handing me the cup. I downed it quick, alowing the liquid to run sraight down my throat so I didn't need to taste the foul medicine. I suddenly felt tired and so I closed my eyes. I murmered to mum and Charlie. "Send Daddy my love. Love you guys."
"Love you too, Ginny." They said in unison before giving me a hug and a kiss on the forehead. I didn't wake up that night or have any dreams or nightmares. All I felt was the worry I had for my best friend, my brother, and the love of my life.

So...sorry there was no Harry or Ron or Hermione, but still, leave a comment!
And the whole Lavender bit about the pregnancy- I know nothing about pregnant ladies and babied and thinks. So if any of its wrong then I'm sorry. Feel free to corect me and I can see what I can do to change it. Thank you.

I LOVED it! And I SOOOOO HATE lavender! Yes I enjoyed camp...it was go go go the whole time but lots of fun

anyways I love the post and the fact that your showing rons more emotional side with the crying part because of the whole hermione-lavender stuff and the fact that he confided in bill XD I love bill's character in ur story and J.k. Rowlings

anyways loved it! Can't get enough XD when's the next post?? xD
