Hi, My name is Sophie, or Soph if you like. This is my first ever Fan Fic and I'm so nervous to see what you think. I don't own anything in the Harry Potter world but a HUGE thanks to JK Rowling who does and does such a good job at brining the characters to life through all her fab Harry Potter books.

So here's whats happening. Sirius has just died and Harry is returning to the burrow before school starts back. Only difference is that I've made Harry and Ginny go out with each other in the last few weeks of school like just after Sirius death and that Dumbeldore has already told Harry of his task he will have set for him when he returns to Hogwarts, oh yeah, and Bill and Fleure's wedding is THIS summer instead of it being the following year. So this story follows Harry and Ginny over the next few years at Hogwarts and we follow the story as they rekindle their relationship so this is a Harry/Ginny Fan Fic

So here goes...

Chapter 1

It was all set. Harry was to arrive at the burrow tonight.

I don't know how I feel about this. On one hand, it will be safe for him here untill we all leave to go back to Hogwarts where he will complete Dumbeldore's task but on the other it's difficult for me to be around him. After we broke up my whole world came crashing down. My life is black hole without him and as much as I want to see him, it will leave me heartbroken if something bad happens at this dangerous time in the wizarding community.
You see, after the fight at the mnistry, Dumbeldore told Harry that there was only one way to destroy Voldemort, that is destroying the Horouxes he has made. So Harry this year at Hogwarts is to attempt to defeat the Voldemort-again. So that is why Harry and I are no longer, because of Voldemort.
I remember how sick I felt when he left me, apparently in order to "protect" me. I don't need protecting! I need him. He is the only thing that could hurt me and he did. Hermionie tells me it out of love, yeah well, love sucks in my opinion. I'm sure he didn't intentionly mean to hurt me, but he did. It only makes it worse when he talks to me just like when we were friends. I can't stand the politness of the tone of his voice. I would just gaze into those emerald eyes whie listening to his tenor voice. It inflicted pain upon me but I felt close to him, because I knew he was right there with me. Mum was so worried at first. She told me it was for the best "Things like this happen for a reason, Dear," she would say "Your lucky Harry cares so much about you." I would turn away and cringe at the sound of his name. We haven't seen each other in so long, well about two weeks but thats a long time for us to be apart.

Harry arrived just after 7pm accompanied by order member Kingsley Shacklebolt. Mum pulled him into a tight hug saying how wonderful it was to see him. He shook my dads hand then looked at me. I looked back with an expresionless face showing no sign of emotion. I could feel tears welling up in my eyes. I looked down at the floor and I felt myself being pulled toward him in a weak but friendly hug. I inhaled deeply. I was home. Back in Harry's arms. The famous Harry smell incircled me but he let go too soon. Everyone watched carefully to see how I would react. I looked up avoiding everyones stairy eyes, shrugged, smiled weakly then continued to the sitting room.

"Dinner!" Mum shouted. I put my book down and made my way to the dinner table. Harry went for the same seat as me. I tryed to show no sign of emotion but failed when I breathed out heavily and shook my head. Why me? Why does he have to make this unbearably painful than it already is? I turned to go to the furthest away seat. "Gin," he pulled out the chair and gestured with his hand for me to sit. It saddend me when he called me Gin. Only called me that. "Thank you." I replied, in an emotionless tone and obediently I sat down and ate my dinner in silence.

Chapter 2

Later that Night...

Kingsley left the Burrow as soon as Hary was settled in. Hermionie had arrived shortly after dinner. Her arrival seemed to lighten up a rather moody Ron. I don't understand why Harry and Hermionie put up with his sulky attitude
I was in the spare room with Hermionie. She was unpacking a few nessesities for her short visit. "So," she said "...How've you been, Ginny? You didn't put much in the letters"
"I won't lie to you, Hermionie, I've been better," I said in a flat tone and I shrugged as I stared up at the celling trying to hold back tears. I knew where the conversation was going.
"Oh Ginny," Hermionie stopped what she was doing and came over and sat down beside me. She wrapped her long boney arms around my shoulders and I broke into tears. "It's so hard to face him," I sobbed "I can't look at him and when I do, I feel like I've been punched in the stomach. It hurts to be in the same room as him. He said it's for the best. How is this better than when we were together. I don't know about him, but this is know good for me Hermionie. If only he knew. I mean,I..I..I"
"Ginny," she smoothed down my hair "you have no idea how much this hurts Harry. Your his everything. Your all he talks about, when Rons not there obviously, but this is why he's doing this, for you. He has to defeat Voldemort and this is the only way he can. It will be tough for both of you, but once this is over you both can get on with your lives, without Voldemorts annual interuptions. Harry loves you Ginny. Trust me."

Hermionie and I contiued talking and laughing. I was winding her up about how Ron liked her and we both burst out laughing.We were interupted with a knock on my room door. We both coposed ourselves before I opened it.
It was Ron. We both started laughing again. He looked at us with a puzzled expression. "Um... Mum sent me up. She's made tea and said you've to come down for some before bed." He bounded back down the staris
"Put on a brave face for Harry." Hermionie said with a smile. I nodded in agreement before pulling a jumper on over my pyjama top and slipping on my slippers before heading downstairs.

Chapter 3- Part 1

I woke with the sun glaring through the blinds. I rolled over onto my side. My alarm clock blinked 7:30am. I gazed around my bedroom. "Good morning Ginny." Hermionie said. "Morning" I replied only half awake . I sat up and looked round the room "Are you comming down to help?" Hermionie was already up and dressed. She sat at my dressing table brushing her hair.
"With..." I asked dazed and confused
"It's Harry's birthday and your mums having a special birthday brunch. Plus there's last minuet plans for Bill and Fleur's Wedding. Fleur's Parents and sister arrive tomorrow." Yuck. Can't say I think much of Gabrielle. She should know that Harry will never be her's and that he only has eye's for me.
"Oh yeah. Do me a favour. There's a gift bag in my cupboard. It's for Harry. Can you take it down to the kitchen with you. I'll be down in five" Hermionie left the room and I climbed out of bed, stretched and put on a navey top, tights and navey and white skirt. I walked out of my room and across the hall to the bathroom. I tied my hair back and washed my face with hot water. Then I brushed my teeth and rinsed with cool minty mouthwash. I now felt quite awake. I joined my mum, dad and Hermionie in the kitchen. Mum, once again had outdone herself. She must have made enough to feed fifty, but then again we've got Ron to feed!
Harry came sleepily down stairs followed by Ron. "Happy Birthday Harry!" Hermionie handed him a small bag. "It's for when we leave," she told him as he unwraped it. "I find that writing all my thought and feelings down in a diary helps plus that is possible the most interesting book I've ever read"
"Thank you Hermionie. I love it" The diary was beautiful. It had a leather cover and the book was about magical creatures. It looked very interesting. I'm sure Harry will enjoy reading it.
"Happy Birthday Mate." Ron said while handing him a rather small peculiar box. It was well wrapped in shiny red paper with a golden bow, which made me think who wrapped it because it obviously wasn't Ron. Harry opened it carefully. "I couldn't think what to get you so it's the broom polish PLUS and I O U." but that was just an act. I knew fine well what Ron had got Harry. A book called 'Fail Safe Ways to Charm Witches.' and I only knew that because I was with himwhen he bought it. He was obviously embarrased about what Mum and Hermionie would think of him getting him a gift like that.
"Thanks Ron. You shouldn't have" Harry said laughing.
"No bother ,Mate" I just glared at Ron and Herionie rolled her eyes. I was about to had Harry his birthday gift when Ron but in and said "Aw, Mum what's for breakfast? I'm famished!"
"Yeah, cauz you look starved, Ron!" I glared at him. He gets in the way of everything!
"Geez, Ginny. What's with the attitude? What's the problem?"
"Your face, Ron. You git!" I stormed out the door and into the garden. This was too much. He is so insensitive sometimes!
"Ronald!" Hermioie tutted
"What did I do. It's not my fault she's in a bloody bad mood! Time of the month or what!" I heard him mutter.
"RONALD!" I heard her scream "Ginny's right. You are an insensitive git!"

Chapter 8

The sun was very bright and gave a plesant warmth to my skin. It was very peaceful to be lying in Harry's arms. My white cardigan had lots of lovely grass stains thanks to us rolling around on the grass kissing. Mum will be very pleased I thought though I was having a great time. We walked back to the Burrow hand in hand. We were just in time to see Ron steal a kiss from Hermionie much to my surprise but Harry said it was inevatible. Gabrielle came floating out the kitchen with a wonderous look on her face. "Fleur haz been lookeein for you" she huffed in her poetic french accent.
"What for?" I asked. "I'm sort of... busy." I told her looking up at Harry. He smiled at me and kissed my hair igroring Gabrielle. She threw me one dirty look and muttered some jiberish in french. She stormed into the house. "Gabrielle!" I yelled after her but she ignored me. Harry and I laughed as she turned around and made rude signs at us with her finger, before entering the house. "Sheesh. I knew she liked you but not that much. So much for her being the pretty blonde innocent french girl"
"Hmm...blonde girls," he shook his head "not really my type...but you know something?" I looked at him, "I prefare redheads" I blushed then gave him a quick hug before letting go of his hand. "Where are you going?"
"To see Fleur and Gabrielle." I made a face. He laughed and pulled me into his arms.
"You don't need to go." He whispered into my hair.
"But I do. I have a feeling it will be something conserning the bridesmaids dresses" I stuck my toung out. "The dresses are horrible. I look like a meringue."
"If you were a meringue, Gin, I'd eat you" I looked at him a shook my head. "Thats a compliment" He said but kissed him on the cheek and went straight to see Fleur.
"Love you, Gin" he shouted. I stopped and turned around.
"Love you too, Harry" I shouted back before blowing him a kiss and stepping inside the kitchen.

I know its short and so is the next chapter but bare with me. Tell me what you think :D

Hello Sophie. It's great you include real things into your story. Ginny noticing the grass stains on her clothing, Ron sneaking a kiss, and just walking hand in hand talking about nothing. This is a very sweet image to watch. I myself hate grass stains, but if I was a witch, then I woudn't mind them at all.

I am sooo sorry. I know I've not posted in DAYS and those of you whos fan fics I read, I'm sorry I've missed your posts. I'll try to get round them all tonight or the near future. I've had maths NABs, Chemisty tests, Macbeth character essays. Please forgive me :/

Chapter 9

I climbed the stairs to Percy's old room to where Gabrielle was sharing a room with Fleur, knocked once and peeped inside.
"Hi Fleur. Gabrielle said, you were looking for me"
"Ah Ginnee." She smiled "It iz for thee dresses" she said as she pulled two dresses out of a closet. "Ee slight change" The dresses were a slight improvement, only slight. It was awfully low cut at the front, now strapless. I don't like strapless anything. But it was now too rufled at the bottom. It wasn't the disgusting gold/yellow colour anymore. It was lighter, a champagne colour.
I tried it on. "Ez lovely Ginee" It wasn't any better. I smiled and nodded in agreement, but out of politness. "Tomorrow, ze hairdressour arrivez at eight o'clock sharp."
"That great Fleure, really. And I'm so glad your going to be my sister in law. Bill couldn't have picked a better bride." I smilled angeiclly.
"Zat ez all Ginnee so you can go if you av plans" she smilled, obviously complimented by what I had said about her becoming my sister in law. "or we girls are to shop at Diagonalee, if you care to join us." She said in her perfect accent. I could see Gabrielle roll her eyes and sigh heavily as she sat in the chair in the corner of the room, quite clearly dissapointed at her sisters welcoming invitation she had given to me.
"Thanks for the invite but I've made plans with Harry this afternoon so I'll be unable to join you." I told Fleur while looking at Garbrielle and smilling. I opened the door and made my way to Rons room because I knew I'd find Harry there.

I know it short... sorry. They get longer soon :D

Chapter 10

I knocked once and opened the door. I found a half naked Ron lying under a half naked Hermionie.
"Nice Ron. You shout at Harry and me for getting back together yet you think it ok for you and Hermionie to fool around but your not even a together. Very charming, Ronald." Hermionie was very embarassed and jumped up and pulled on Rons shirt to cover herself up.
"I'm sorry Ginny" she told me
"I'm not annoyed at you Hermionie, its just the fact that Ron has trouble with his sister and best friend getting together, but expects me to be fine with you two, which I am by the way but its just that Ron is a hypocrit. And on that note, do any of you know where Harry is?" I asked. They both shook their heads. "Well then, I'll let you continue doing what ever it was you were doing" I said with a smile as I walked out the room and closed the door then continued to find Harry.
As I was walking down from Ron's attic room, I found Harry walking up. "You don't want to go up there" I told him "Unless you want to be scarred for life"
"I thought you were away with the girls." He said
"No, I told them I'd made plans with you."
"And so what do you have in mind because," he said slinking his arms around my waist "your dad took the rest of the boys to a quiditch match, but Ron told him that we wouldn't want to go so..."
"Well Ron and Hermionie seem to be occupying there time so we could do something just the two of us, without any interuptions." I said, then kissed him lightly on the lips. My stomach interrupted with a loud rumble.
"First though lets sort out your stomach." He took my hand and lead me downstairs "What did you have for breakfast?"
"Umm... Coffee" I replied.
"That's terrible Miss Weasley a young growing woman like you needs food for energy."
"Harry, two words." I told him folding me arms across my chest, "Shut up!" He smiled while I stared up at him with a stern look on my face, "Plus, I'm too tired to eat in the morning and I could quite easily live on coffee."
"Well, we could go out for lunch if you like?"
"Well, I'd need to get changed quickly. I mean just look at the grass stains on this cardigan!" So as we made our way downstairs we stopped via my room so I could change quickly. I pulled a purple vest top out my wardrope along with a black skirt that had a flowery print. I turned to Harry who had absentmindedly pick up a muggle book I was reading and continued reading where I had put it down. He caught me watching him "Arn't you getting changed?" he asked
"Yeah, but I thought you were going leave the room first."
He gave me a funny look. "Ok, if you like but Gin, I know what you look like with no clothes on. Its nothing to be embarrased about." He told me.
"Ok, now I'm embarrased." I said blushing. Harry went back to reading the book and I turned my back to him and pulled on tan tights, then the top and skirt. "Harry," he looked up from the book "can you fasten this for me" I asked struggling with the catch on a necklace.
"Sure." He walked over and fastened the necklace. He put his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek "Your so beautiful Gin." I blushed "So where do you fancy going for lunch. We could go to Diagonally or I know this small restaurant place where I used to escape to when it was the holidays in Privet Drive."
"There's a good chance we would bump into mum and the Delacour girls if we go to Diagonally so could we go to the restaurant you know?" I told him looking at our reflection in my dressing table mirror. It looked perfect.
"Yeah. Its more of a pub sort of thing but its nice all the same. Plus theres no mums or Delacours."
"Sounds great. Lets go then"
