Hi, My name is Sophie, or Soph if you like. This is my first ever Fan Fic and I'm so nervous to see what you think. I don't own anything in the Harry Potter world but a HUGE thanks to JK Rowling who does and does such a good job at brining the characters to life through all her fab Harry Potter books.

So here's whats happening. Sirius has just died and Harry is returning to the burrow before school starts back. Only difference is that I've made Harry and Ginny go out with each other in the last few weeks of school like just after Sirius death and that Dumbeldore has already told Harry of his task he will have set for him when he returns to Hogwarts, oh yeah, and Bill and Fleure's wedding is THIS summer instead of it being the following year. So this story follows Harry and Ginny over the next few years at Hogwarts and we follow the story as they rekindle their relationship so this is a Harry/Ginny Fan Fic

So here goes...

Chapter 1

It was all set. Harry was to arrive at the burrow tonight.

I don't know how I feel about this. On one hand, it will be safe for him here untill we all leave to go back to Hogwarts where he will complete Dumbeldore's task but on the other it's difficult for me to be around him. After we broke up my whole world came crashing down. My life is black hole without him and as much as I want to see him, it will leave me heartbroken if something bad happens at this dangerous time in the wizarding community.
You see, after the fight at the mnistry, Dumbeldore told Harry that there was only one way to destroy Voldemort, that is destroying the Horouxes he has made. So Harry this year at Hogwarts is to attempt to defeat the Voldemort-again. So that is why Harry and I are no longer, because of Voldemort.
I remember how sick I felt when he left me, apparently in order to "protect" me. I don't need protecting! I need him. He is the only thing that could hurt me and he did. Hermionie tells me it out of love, yeah well, love sucks in my opinion. I'm sure he didn't intentionly mean to hurt me, but he did. It only makes it worse when he talks to me just like when we were friends. I can't stand the politness of the tone of his voice. I would just gaze into those emerald eyes whie listening to his tenor voice. It inflicted pain upon me but I felt close to him, because I knew he was right there with me. Mum was so worried at first. She told me it was for the best "Things like this happen for a reason, Dear," she would say "Your lucky Harry cares so much about you." I would turn away and cringe at the sound of his name. We haven't seen each other in so long, well about two weeks but thats a long time for us to be apart.

Harry arrived just after 7pm accompanied by order member Kingsley Shacklebolt. Mum pulled him into a tight hug saying how wonderful it was to see him. He shook my dads hand then looked at me. I looked back with an expresionless face showing no sign of emotion. I could feel tears welling up in my eyes. I looked down at the floor and I felt myself being pulled toward him in a weak but friendly hug. I inhaled deeply. I was home. Back in Harry's arms. The famous Harry smell incircled me but he let go too soon. Everyone watched carefully to see how I would react. I looked up avoiding everyones stairy eyes, shrugged, smiled weakly then continued to the sitting room.

"Dinner!" Mum shouted. I put my book down and made my way to the dinner table. Harry went for the same seat as me. I tryed to show no sign of emotion but failed when I breathed out heavily and shook my head. Why me? Why does he have to make this unbearably painful than it already is? I turned to go to the furthest away seat. "Gin," he pulled out the chair and gestured with his hand for me to sit. It saddend me when he called me Gin. Only called me that. "Thank you." I replied, in an emotionless tone and obediently I sat down and ate my dinner in silence.

Chapter 2

Later that Night...

Kingsley left the Burrow as soon as Hary was settled in. Hermionie had arrived shortly after dinner. Her arrival seemed to lighten up a rather moody Ron. I don't understand why Harry and Hermionie put up with his sulky attitude
I was in the spare room with Hermionie. She was unpacking a few nessesities for her short visit. "So," she said "...How've you been, Ginny? You didn't put much in the letters"
"I won't lie to you, Hermionie, I've been better," I said in a flat tone and I shrugged as I stared up at the celling trying to hold back tears. I knew where the conversation was going.
"Oh Ginny," Hermionie stopped what she was doing and came over and sat down beside me. She wrapped her long boney arms around my shoulders and I broke into tears. "It's so hard to face him," I sobbed "I can't look at him and when I do, I feel like I've been punched in the stomach. It hurts to be in the same room as him. He said it's for the best. How is this better than when we were together. I don't know about him, but this is know good for me Hermionie. If only he knew. I mean,I..I..I"
"Ginny," she smoothed down my hair "you have no idea how much this hurts Harry. Your his everything. Your all he talks about, when Rons not there obviously, but this is why he's doing this, for you. He has to defeat Voldemort and this is the only way he can. It will be tough for both of you, but once this is over you both can get on with your lives, without Voldemorts annual interuptions. Harry loves you Ginny. Trust me."

Hermionie and I contiued talking and laughing. I was winding her up about how Ron liked her and we both burst out laughing.We were interupted with a knock on my room door. We both coposed ourselves before I opened it.
It was Ron. We both started laughing again. He looked at us with a puzzled expression. "Um... Mum sent me up. She's made tea and said you've to come down for some before bed." He bounded back down the staris
"Put on a brave face for Harry." Hermionie said with a smile. I nodded in agreement before pulling a jumper on over my pyjama top and slipping on my slippers before heading downstairs.

Chapter 3- Part 1

I woke with the sun glaring through the blinds. I rolled over onto my side. My alarm clock blinked 7:30am. I gazed around my bedroom. "Good morning Ginny." Hermionie said. "Morning" I replied only half awake . I sat up and looked round the room "Are you comming down to help?" Hermionie was already up and dressed. She sat at my dressing table brushing her hair.
"With..." I asked dazed and confused
"It's Harry's birthday and your mums having a special birthday brunch. Plus there's last minuet plans for Bill and Fleur's Wedding. Fleur's Parents and sister arrive tomorrow." Yuck. Can't say I think much of Gabrielle. She should know that Harry will never be her's and that he only has eye's for me.
"Oh yeah. Do me a favour. There's a gift bag in my cupboard. It's for Harry. Can you take it down to the kitchen with you. I'll be down in five" Hermionie left the room and I climbed out of bed, stretched and put on a navey top, tights and navey and white skirt. I walked out of my room and across the hall to the bathroom. I tied my hair back and washed my face with hot water. Then I brushed my teeth and rinsed with cool minty mouthwash. I now felt quite awake. I joined my mum, dad and Hermionie in the kitchen. Mum, once again had outdone herself. She must have made enough to feed fifty, but then again we've got Ron to feed!
Harry came sleepily down stairs followed by Ron. "Happy Birthday Harry!" Hermionie handed him a small bag. "It's for when we leave," she told him as he unwraped it. "I find that writing all my thought and feelings down in a diary helps plus that is possible the most interesting book I've ever read"
"Thank you Hermionie. I love it" The diary was beautiful. It had a leather cover and the book was about magical creatures. It looked very interesting. I'm sure Harry will enjoy reading it.
"Happy Birthday Mate." Ron said while handing him a rather small peculiar box. It was well wrapped in shiny red paper with a golden bow, which made me think who wrapped it because it obviously wasn't Ron. Harry opened it carefully. "I couldn't think what to get you so it's the broom polish PLUS and I O U." but that was just an act. I knew fine well what Ron had got Harry. A book called 'Fail Safe Ways to Charm Witches.' and I only knew that because I was with himwhen he bought it. He was obviously embarrased about what Mum and Hermionie would think of him getting him a gift like that.
"Thanks Ron. You shouldn't have" Harry said laughing.
"No bother ,Mate" I just glared at Ron and Herionie rolled her eyes. I was about to had Harry his birthday gift when Ron but in and said "Aw, Mum what's for breakfast? I'm famished!"
"Yeah, cauz you look starved, Ron!" I glared at him. He gets in the way of everything!
"Geez, Ginny. What's with the attitude? What's the problem?"
"Your face, Ron. You git!" I stormed out the door and into the garden. This was too much. He is so insensitive sometimes!
"Ronald!" Hermioie tutted
"What did I do. It's not my fault she's in a bloody bad mood! Time of the month or what!" I heard him mutter.
"RONALD!" I heard her scream "Ginny's right. You are an insensitive git!"

I can confirm that Sophie is completely against young people doing what Connie is thinking. There are a few people in our school who laugh at us if we say that because they think it is cool to do what Connie is thinking.

Chapter 5- A long one

"Gin" Harry whispered opening my bedroom door.
"Hey" I replied. He wallked over and knelt beside the edge of my bed. I slinked my arms around his neck and he brought my face to his. He kissed me passionatly. One of my hands broke away and gripped the collar of his shirt. I pulled him up into bed beside me. I snuggled up to him. There was a plesent warmth radiating off his body. His arms were wound tight around my body. "I almost forgot. Your birthday present" I went and got it from my dressing table where it was wrapped up neatly in gold paper and red ribbon inside a red giftbag. I handed it to him with a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Happy birthday Harry"
"Thanks"
"What is it? It's a big present"
"Well, it's actually just a few little ones" I told him. There were four presents in total. He opened the first. It was a book called the 100 Greatest Wizards of all time.
"Thanks Gin." we flicked through it quickly spotting wizards like Albus Dumbeldore, and then there was Harry, the boy who lived. He laughed when he saw his picuture. He lay the book across our laps and he put one arm around my shoulders. "Thanks Gin, I love it."
The second present was a box of belgian chocolates from Honeydukes. We munched on a few of them together. We shared our favourite ones and the nasty tasting ones we dared each other to each, though some were just too revolting.
The third, was a voucher for a subscription to Quiditch Weekly. "I asked if they would sent it to Hogwarts and they said it would be no problem." I told him.
He kissed my forehead. "Gin, this is far too much. Thank you and I've not even opened all of them yet."
"Anything for you Harry."
"And you said I was hopelessly romantic." he laughed
He opened the last present. "I love it Gin. Thank you, sooo much" He gave me a tight squeeze and kissed my cheek.I held out my hand for him to take. It was a scrapbook I had put together of his six years at Hogwarts with pictures of the four of us, Harry, myself, Ron and Hermionie and there was also a few pictures of his parents. On the front was a picture of the two of us He was so like his dad it was unbelievable. But he has his mums eyes and lovely eyes they are to inherit. We're going to have beautiful children. Then I laughed then relised it was out loud.
"Whats so funny?" He asked smiling at me.
"I honestly can't tell you" I laughed
"Yes you can, you can tell me anything," he pressed his lips to my neck.
"Harry." I shook my head, "I'm so scared. Don't ever leave me again."
"I promise. But Gin, you know how angry your mum was with you for joining in the fight at the ministry, so if something like that happens in the future, there in no way you will be taking part. Your way to precious. And thoses weeks appart form you prove that." He hugged me tightly
"My mum and dad can't stop me. And niether can you! I'm practically an adult!"
"Your fifteen Ginny. Your still young, practically a baby and at least have a whole life to live."
"Harry, be quiet. you sound even worse than my mum. Plus your sixteen and you still have your whole life ahead of you too. Plus, I doubt that a baby would kiss you like I do!"
"And this is what you found funny?" he asked.
"No. That was something else" I said as I cuddled closer to him.
"So what was funny?" He asked again.
"Promise me something, Harry"
"Anything for you Gin" He said repeating me line from earlier. I rolled my eyes
"Stay with me." I said as I gazed deep into his eyes. I was serious
"Gin, you know I will." He answered.
"And then I'll tell you. In the near future, if you remember."
"Aw don't do that."
"You just promised to stay with me. That way, we have the rest of our lives, together." I put my hand on his cheek and brought his face round to mine. "I can't see a life without you Harry. It wouldn't be worth living." He kissed me softly.
"Thank you Ginny. For all the lovely birthday gifts. And for you. I love you Gin." I pulled him toward me and kissed him passionatly. My head hit the pillow and I pulled him with me. I drew away for a breath but he continued to kiss me under my throat and down my neck. I pulled him back up to my face. He rolled over so I was on top of him. His hands were sliding down my body. They were under my t-shirt and then it was on the floor. His fingers traces soft patterns up and down my back. They were warm and soft on my skin. I reached for his t-shirt. He helped me with it, and it too was on the floor. We laughed in unison. My hands touched his bare chest. I stopped what I was doing and sat on top of him, my legs at either side of his body. He was unbearable beautiful. My hands glided along his chest. He put his arms around my waist and pulled me back to him. It was nearly dawn, but we didn't have a care in the world. We had each other.

Chapter 6

I woke with a loud noise. There was lots of talking but I was much too comfertable to get up I was lying across something and my hands were knotted in something soft. Without opening my eyes, I streched. Then I realised what I was lying on. Crap. My eyes fluttered open quickly to find Harry sleeping peacefully with me in his arms. Then I noticed I had falled asleep in my bra and pyjama shorts. I didn't remember that either. "Harry! Wake up." I said jumping out of bed and rummaging around the floor for my t-shirt.
"Mmm...Gin? Is that you" His eyes opened. I stood in front of him half naked with a stern look on my face. "Harry, you fell asleep in here last night and knowing our luck Ron will awaken any minuet to come and find you." I told him. He sat on the side of my bed and took my hand and pulled me into the circle of his arms and kissed my stomach. He sat holding me while I kissed his hair once then continued to look for something clean and presentable to were as the Delacours were arriving today. Harry stared after me, lounging along my bed. "Are you enjoying the view?" I asked him as I caught him looking at me from through the mirror on my dressing table
"You mean your half-naked being?" He asked back. I just stared at him.
"Is that all you care about?" I said with my back to him while looking for my hairbrush on my dressing table.
"No!" He said quite appaled. Suddenly his arms were around my waist for behind me.
"Thats ok then." I said turning around in his arms. "But you need to get ready Harry!" I said sternly
"Ok, I'm going" He moaned. He kissed me quickly on the lips before walking to the door. "Love you Gin"
I smiled "I love me too" I laughed and waited to see if he'd notice my error.
"What?" He asked wondering if he had heard correctly and peeping his head around the door.
"Just kidding. Love you too Harry" and I blew him a kiss.

I know its only short. I might even post chapter 7, since its Friday and I have a long peaceful weekend ahead :D Comments Please!

Hello Sophie, OK, yeah, it was a short post, but that's ok. You got your story point out, and made us want more. Those are the important things. I'm thinking Ginny isn't going to be having a good day, what with Gabriella (sp) arriving in a little bit. I really don't know why Ginny feels threatened by her. But, just the same, I'll be watching for your next post.

I think Ginny feels that she's just got Harry back and with Gabrielle (I checked the books for the spelling) turning up, who has a bit of a thing for Harry, she doesn't Harry to leave her again. I can assure you that the next chapter will be rather interesting.

Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I was out all day shopping for dresses for weddings...... Anyway.......

Chapter 7

I don't know how we got away with it. Everyone was so caught with the arrival of the Delacour that our little sleepover seemed to go unnoticed.
I wore a simple green summer dress with a white cardigan as again, today was sunny. Harry was waiting for me outside my room door. He hugged me tight and then took a step back to admire, what he calls 'My beauty'.
"You smell nice, Harry." I told him "And I must say, you are very, very presentable."
"You smell nice too, Gin" He said taking my hand "And you suit green. Brings out the colour of your hair"
"Harry, thats the perfume you got me for my birthday."

We waited in the kitchen, quietly sipping coffee. Ron clearly wasn't happy that Harry and I were back together. When Harry asked him if he slept well he said, "No, not really, Harry. Not with your snoring." Ron spoke in a disgusted tone. I almost spat my coffee out but then almost choked trying to swallow it. I burt out into hysterical laughter. "What's so funny, Ginny." he asked, but I laughed harder and Harry joined in. The look of anger on Ron's face was priceless. "Fine then." He said and walked out the kitchen.
"Well it wasn't me keeping him up." Harry told Hermionie. "I'm lucky if I was in that room for thirty minuets last night." Hermionie finally got what we were on about. She laughed too

The Delacours arrived shortly after ten in the morning. I was too tired to be bother with the comotion and I was sure Harry felt the same. We were leaning against the worktop at the back of the kitchen with our eyes closed. Harry had his arm around my waist and I leaned against him with my head rested on his shoulder. "Come on," He said taking my hand, "Let's get out of here." Gabrielle looked at Harry and batted her eyelashes but then looked awfully disapointed that he was taking me with him wherever we were going. She drew me a dirty look but I just smiled and waved before we headed out to the garden.
Harry sat under the old oak tree in the small forest area behind the orchard and pulled me onto his lap. We sat in silence for a few minuets lost in the time we finally had together, obsorbing the moment. Harry broke the silence.
"Gin, I've been thinking" He said
"About...?"
"Us"
"I think about us too"
"Well, I was thinking, about when all this is all over. I mean, you'll deffinatly stay with me?"
"Of course, silly" He hugged me tighter to him.
"I'm going to marry you one day, Ginny Weasley." He told me gaazing into the distance.
"Are you serious?"
"You don't need to but I've told you before, Gin, I love you and you said it yourself last night that you can't see a life without me in it." I threw my arms around him and he kissed me softly.
"I love you too, Harry" I told him before he kissed me tenderly. "But for now lets take it easy. I like this, the way things are. We're going at a nice pace."
"I agree." he said before rolling over on the grass and kissing me passionatly.
