Teller Window 4: Currency Exchange and Potions Market
Have a wad of British pounds, Spanish Euros or American dollars on you? Well that simply won't do. Queue up and exchange for some of our fine goblin gold. To keep the goblins sane I would advise exchanging whole amounts. Or do you want to try your hand at in the explosive Potions market? Think you are savvy enough to survive? Then why don't you buy a few shares in Weasley’s Explosive Enterprises or WonderWitch Inc. And if you don't survive our dragons are always hungry!

3 Galleons, 14 Sickles and 17 Knuts. Okay. But why only?
Unable to figure out the reason that this word might have been used for, Josh blinked with and empty expression as the band worker person-thing took his money and did the necessary procedure with it. Well...whatever. It had always been so hard to tell what money was like to bank workers anyway so just choosing to ignore the questions in his mind, the Gryffindor smiled and kindly nodded at the bank worker person-thing when his business was done.
''Thank you'' he said right before taking the money and two or three steps back to leave. However when he heard the exchange between the bank worker person-thing and the next customer, he halted immediately.
Bank fee?
''Excuse me!'' so he turned back to the Teller Window. ''Is not there a certain amount that i need to pay too for...your work? You did not mention any.''

Bok didn't want to embarrass the young wizard with his small amount. It was obvious he was happy about his wages and she didn't want to draw attention to his transaction. She shook her head, "No sir there is no charge for the services today." she informed him. She sneezed again and her eyes watered.

She eyes the girl suspiciously. "You just walked out of the bank and you just suddenly found $4,000 American dollars in your pocket?" she asked her. That was highly unlikely. "I think we need to have a word with security." she said to the girl. Gringotts goblins took theft very seriously. She got off her stool, "Follow me." she told the girl sharply. She showed the girl to the security offices.
Devon heard the goblin chastised the girl and he felt sorry for the girl for having to go to security, this goblin was the nicest one he saw here and goblins aren't that kind in money matters.
Although he knew that any money coming from questionable sources is important, it didn't explain why his request was ignored... He approached the counter again and ask the goblin more firmly this time "Excuse me ma'am, I'm here to exchange the 4000 euros my parents gave me... They're in Flourish and Blotts picking up my books." He refrained from explaining further that they're waiting for him to come back from Malkin's to pay for the books so they can go to the carnival.
''Excuse me!'' so he turned back to the Teller Window. ''Is not there a certain amount that i need to pay too for...your work? You did not mention any.''

This was OUTRAGEOUS! A SCANDAL! No one, NO ONE up until this moment had spoken to Marcelo Teixeira Neves, a son of TOP RANKED ambassadors, in such a fashion! Once he told about this to his father--it was totally irrelevant that he was a Muggle, the man had a specialty about making excellent contacts in any situation, under any title--he'd watch with cruel pleasure the fall of that shameless piece of director.
As he was walking with such fury and rush that could knock someone down, he passed by the currency exchange window on his way out... and as adrenalin has that effect; his senses were sharper than normal and he heard a boy ask a question. A question that made him stop dead in his track and turn his head and glares towards them.
He was not charged any exchange fee? The goblin HAD NOT mentioned any?! What kind of a business was they conducting here?! Did their policy change according to people?! Then what about that bloody humiliation in the manager's office? Was she all bluffing?! Watching with even more fury than ever, as if that was possible, he held his breath and waited for the answer of the goblin... which said they were not charging anyone today. The very SAME day that he had to pay bloody 5 galleons for a stupid work!
"WHAT does THAT mean?!" he roared towards the goblin, making a very cool turn that could have waved the skirts of a long cloak, if he wore any. He didn't care AT ALL that he was fifteen, and that goblin probably had much more age. This was about being fair and equal to everyone here, which the very manager of this ROBBER and CORRUPT bank hadn't held herself to explain so in a high voice.
"WHAT do you mean by 'no charge today'?" Hopefully, that director heard all of this commotion. Or maybe she wouldn't care at all, since it was probably she who told to look after this boy and who knew how many more 'special' people to charge nothing for their work. "You have just sent me to your director because I -rightly- complained about the five-galleon fee. Your director gave me a very enlightening speech about how no one worked for free, and how that five-galleon fee was right. And yet, now, just a few minutes later, you charge this boy of none. Do you realise this is practically saying we are fools?" He took a breath. It didn't help him calm down at all.
If looks could kill, all the goblins here were dead right now.

Staring back at the bank worker person-thing carefully, Josh waited for the reply to his question wondering how much he had to pay for the exchanging progress. Probably the bank worker forgot about it so it was a good thing that it took Josh's attention and he reminded him/her. Him or her? Well...it was kinda hard to tell since Josh did not really know much about those bank worker beings yet judging by the voice tone the worker had spoken with, the Gryffindor could assume that was a she.
Then she spoke replied to his question making the boy blink a few times at her all over again. No charge for the services today? ''Ah!'' well...he had no idea how much of his money he could give anyway if he was charged for a fee. ''Then i suppose i misunderstood that. Thank you and good day.''
Now to the owl shop to buy some pellets...
...or not.
Upon hearing an angry male voice yelling about, the Gryffindor stopped again and curiously looked back. What was going on? Hey! Apparently this dude was annoyed about the fact that...there was no charge for the services today. That was weird and...
Huh?
No one worked for free? There was a five-galleon fee for everyone?
Josh narrowed his eyes and took a few steps closer to the angry boy just when he voiced the 'you charge this boy of none' part of his loud complaining...which made him immediately look back at the bank worker ''Is that...right?'' But she had said there was no charge for...today? Now the lion boy was utterly confused and...felt pretty weird since he did not have any 5 Galleons. Maybe he should not have come here at all.

IC: Bok had a total sneeze fit as a line of customers came and went. She was not improving and she was wondering how much longer she could stay at work, before she was ordered home. "I'm sorry," she said wiping her nose and blowing her ears. She took the money from the boy and weighted it out. "Its going to be 542 galleons and 2 knuts. With the 5 galleon bank fee its will me 537 galleons and 2 knuts," she slid the money into the bank bag. "Sorry about the wait." she said with a small smile.

She nodded and smiled at the boy. It was mighty noble that he had come back thinking she forgot to charge him a bank fee. She didn't think anyone else would have done that. "You have a good day," she told him shooing him away with a smile.

She was about to close her window to head to lunch and to make soak her ears to unclog them. She was just having an all around bad day when that annoying little wizard came roaring back towards her. She jumped off her stool, "You will hold your tongue. This is not a playground it it a place of business." she told him sternly. She was not going to be yelled at by a human child. "The banking business of each customer is a private matter and not open to discussion by you. Now if you continue in this matter. I will have you detained and turned over to the MLE." She eyed him. "Irregardless of who your father is." she added. He thought his father's position was a trump card for him to bandy about with.

"Whoa! Um- I mean- thanks ma'am" he said. He tried avoiding those small droplets flying off the goblin's ears but failed. He hoped the goblin's flu wasn't contagious, because for sure that anything these goblins had to make them sick would probably kill ordinary people like him.
Devon looked wide-eyed at the stack of gold coins the goblin put into a bag. He didn't expect that much gold. Good thing it comes in a bag, he didn't think that much coins could fit in one pocket.
He grabbed the bag staring at the paler looking goblin "You're starting to look a little funny. Hope you get to that break soon. " he said. Before he strolled to the main hall he added "More power to you, I guess. Thanks again, don't worry about the wait." Because I thoroughly enjoyed the other customer complaining about 5 galleons he thought to himself.
Devon walked to the main hall often glancing back if the goblin was winning the argument with the young man...

Obviously it wasn't a playground. The Brazilian could see that quite clearly. No, it shouldn't be a playground, but they turned it into one. Charging someone for FIVE galleons, and then requesting none from another... such things didn't even occur in his country, and here was Gringotts, where things were taken more seriously.
Private. HMPF. On the contrary it was quite open who they favoured and who not, but he didn't tell anything. It was clear they were had a corrupt management and without anyone by his side, with his underage situation he couldn't do much. Plus, he guessed that MLE people were the security here--he didn't really know what their name were--and he had a specialty in avoiding trouble as much as he could. It just wasn't in the name of Teixeiras and Neves to get involved with security as a suspect/criminal... thus, he merely said "I won't stay in this corrupt place anyway. Have a, eh, day full of money," and with the question of 'Did she just read my mind?' left the bank never to return again.
A scared looking boy and his parents walk up to the counter. Seeing as how they are a muggle family they have never delt with anything magical before today, and are rather nervous at the sight of so many goblins. They are not scared of the goblins themselves rather than the fact that, less than a month ago, humans were the only intelligent species that lived on this earth. However they swallow their fears and approach the counter. "Excuse me, I was told that this was where I could exchange my US dollars for some wizard money."
Isabelle glanced nervously around at the goblins in the different teller windows. She had never seen creatures such as these, but she continued on to the fourth teller bravely.
"Hello," it came out just barely above a whisper. Isabelle cleared her throat. "Uh, hello, I was wondering if I could exchange some of my muggle money for, uh, galleons?" This was all new to her. She wasn't entirely sure what the magic money was entitled.

She frowned, "I'm sorry." she was a total leaky mess today, but she couldn't help it. Goblins didn't take sick days even if they were sick. So she had to be at work. She gave the small boy a smile at his concern. That was nice. "You're welcome young sir." she told him with a nod of her head.

"You didn't have a choice in staying. Just in the manner of your exit." she informed him as he stormed out of the bank. She was rather hoping he would have put up a fight.

After whispering to his parents Zacharias looks back to the teller, "we would like to exchange 1000 us dollars," he answers shyly. "We think this amount should be enough for his school supplies.. we've never had to buy anything like this. He will be able to put any excess money in his bank vault once he receives it wont he?" the boy's father steps in and asks with a friendly smile upon his face.

She takes his money and weighs it out on the scale. "Well that will be 99 galleons, 5 sickles and 5 knuts." She pulls out a gringotts bag, "And with the 5 galleon fee you will get 94 galleons, 5 sickles and 5 knuts." she swept the money into the bag and handed it to the boy. "Since he is the wizard yes he will open up his own vault and any left over gold and anything else can be stored in the vault. If you want to open a vault window 1 and 2 can help you." she explained slowly. Hmm, maybe they should make a pamphlet for muggle born children and their parents about gringotts.

"Thank you very much, you have been ever so helpful." said his father. Now Zacharias what do you say? Thank you for helping us, he responded. He took the bag full of his new "wizard money" and walked out of the bank with his parents.
Salima walked into Gringotts to the currency exchange counter, looking at the (Witch,Wizard,Goblin) "umm Hello I would like to exchange 456.75 british muggle pounds to Galleons, sickels and knuts please"

OOC: just like in the books Gringotts is manned by goblins
IC: Bok looked as the young witch walked up to her counter. She took the money and put it on her scale. "It will be 91 galleons, 5 sickles and 27 knuts." she took out a gringotts bag. "With the 5 galleon fee its 86 galleons, 5 sickles and 27 knuts." she placed the money in the bag and handed it over to the girl.

She nods and takes the money for the young witch. While weighting it on her scale she blows her ears again ans sneezes. She felt like a wrung house elf at this point, and she was praying for her lunch time. "Its 496 galleons 8 sickles and 26 knuts. And there is a 5 galleon fee." She pushed the money into the bag. "So you get 491 galleons, 5 sickles and 26 knuts." she handed the bag to the small witch.

"Thank you" she said as she took the bag of money from "Bok"
Her parents following closely Kynthia approached the counter. Fortunately window four was empty. "Hello. I need to exchange this money..." she said taking the 2000 Euros from her father and putting them on the counter, which was a little difficult to do if you were an 11 year old. It seemed that goblins liked the fact that by making the counters so high it forced even adult wizard and witches to look up in order to see them. I for one, had to stand on my toes and stretch my hand as far is it could go.

She blew her ears hard an wiped her eyes. Bok was really sick and her shift wasn't even over yet. She took the money from the little girl and placed it on the scale, "266 galleons, and 1 knut," she swept the money into the bag and handed it over to the little girl.

She was totally in the pits now. She had been at work 8 hours and since that little Brazilian boy's blowup she missed her lunch as she had to explain the situation to her boss. BOk was looking terrible and feeling worse as the next customer walked up. She nodded slowly and took the money to weight on her scale. "193 galleons, 10 sickles and 10 knuts," she swiped it into a bag and handed it over. She didn't trust herself to say anymore without sneezing all over someone.

"And I hope you feel better soon. Tea with honey always seemes to help me whenever I get sick."
