Golden Ticket to Paradise Party (05/06/2012 - 07/05/12)
Welcome to the Grand Opening of Paradise Piercings and Tattoos!
Reigning Triwizard Tournament Champion, Hogwarts alumni, and former Gringotts Curse-Breaker Duncan Fletcher and his newly hired Tattoo Expert (Assistant Nolan Park) are ready and waiting outside the glass double doors to Paradise. As you walk in to the shop, Fletcher hands you a fancy golden ticket and Nolan places a lei over your head, as per the theme of the shop! If you look more closely at the ticket in your hand, you'll notice that it's actually a coupon for 2 galleons off your choice of tattoo or piercing! You can either use the coupon toward your first purchase or you can toss it into the fancy fish bowl standing at the checkout counter for a chance to win a top-secret, super awesome prize.
The prize raffle will be held toward the end of the shop's grand opening party. But while you're here and waiting to win something, why not check out the place? Grab a beverage or some food from the table near the entrance and then wander into all the other connected rooms, snacking as you go! There's a lounge and gift shop with Paradise merchandise, drinks, music, and snacks; an actual tattoo parlor where you can get inked (only open for serious, paying customers); and a counter where more tattoos are displayed and where customers go to buy their tattoo/piercing/merchandise. You can hang out in two of the rooms or just mingle in this general party area.
No matter where you are in the shop, you're in Paradise!

As he accepted the golden ticket, Alexander Greingoth glanced down at it long enough to read what the offer was. With a smirk, he looked back up at the boy. "Thanks, kid," he said, patting the Fletcher man on the back. He'd heard the boy had moved up to shop owner, which actually impressed Alexander in a way. Owning a shop was an excellent way to meet acquaintances and business partners. He'd learned that long ago. "So, ...a tattoo parlor, hmm?" Alexander looked the shop over then turned to see if his wife had made it in, as well. "Pretty decent place you have here."

Hecate came following into the store and she was handed something. She looked up at the person handing them out... "Fletcher?" She said remembering the glitterpuff well. "You work here?"
So the Alley had made some changes since he last had been here.
Chris Potter was walking through the cobbled streets of the wizarding shopping center after his 4 year hiatus abroad studying dragons in Romania and an giant tribe in Albania. The Hogwarts Alumni had been in the Alley mainly to stop by and pick up some things from the Apothecary for more healing potions but an unfamiliar shop caught his eye.
Tattoos?
'That could be fun.' the 22 year old thought to himself with a grin spreading across his tanned features. The man walked torwards the doors and saw that it was actually just opening--how fortunate of him to be here right now.
"Hey there, new shop?" he asked the man out front.

Fletcher straightened up, adjusting his dapper coat and fancy stuffy clothes, and elbowed Nolan as THE Minister of Magic, THE guest he'd been looking forward to meeting the most, arrived at his lowly little opening party with his beautiful wife on his arm.
Should he bow? Er? Just hand him the ticket?
He went with the latter and apparently received a REAL LIFE PAT ON THE BACK as a token of his good choice. Atta boy, atta boy. Fletcher was beaming already.
"Thank you, sir, it's a pleasure to meet you, sir." BEAM! "We've been working hard on remodeling this little place for a while now. So glad you and your wife could make it." He nodded to Lafay. Oh yes, he'd be talking to HER later. Wink wink.
"Please, feel free to go in and help yourself to some refreshments. The whole shop is open for you to explore." Well except the parlor, but was Fletcher really going to go shoo the Minister out of there? Naw. Never.

Now then, on to Mrs. Minister, aka Dragon Lady aka Lovely Lafay. Fletcher thought briefly about trying to call her 'Hecate,' since he was like, an adult and alumni and whatever now, but thought better of it. He didn't want her to call him Duncan, after all.
"Yes ma'am, professor, Mrs. Greingoth." Er. "I actually own the place. Bought it with my savings." Almost all of them. Fortunately, curse-breaking had paid him well.
Now then. "Please, enjoy the party," he smiled and gestured for her to enter as well... well as soon as they got lei'd anyway.

"Hello!" Fletcher answered the next POTENTIAL CUSTOMER to stroll right up. "Yes indeed, welcome to Paradise!" He pressed a golden ticket into the slightly older, slightly familiar boy...er.... man's hand and nudged his head toward the interior of the shop. "Feel free to help yourself to some refreshments and/or to purchase a piece of Paradise!"
Man, he loved this job already.

Candi was excited to be going to this new shop on her end of the street. Plus it was a tattoo shop, Candi didn't have a tattoo, but she did want one. She bounced merrily into the shop excited to meet some of her fellow shopkeepers.
A golden ticket! A lei! Candi liked this place already. "Hello there," she said cheerfully to the shopkeeper and assistant. "I'm Candi September Powers. Owner of Scribbulus, thought I would come welcome you." And maybe get a tattoo, there was no telling.

For anyone that knew her, it would be absolutely no surprise to see Roxanne here. The woman obviously liked body art, seeing as had two tattoos that were completely visible depending on what she chose to wear. But today, the aforementioned art was covered, though one could sneak a peek at the one on her wrist whenever her sleeve moved.
Anyway, she'd been walking around Diagon Alley, spotted the newly opened tattoo and piercing shop and decided to go in. Taking off her sunglasses, she took a look around. The shop was amazing! Far better than all the dingy hole in the wall muggle places she'd visited. Who knew, she might even get a new tattoo here! Maybe even a piercing…

Dia hesitantly tugged the doors of the shop open, all the time hoping that no one would notice her walking in. Her heart skipped a beat as she suddenly found herself standing before a young man with a golden ticket in his hand. It took an extra second for her to realize that it was customary for this to happen and her face went red. She mumbled a quick "thank you" as the lei was placed on her head then hurried to the corner of the room.
What was she even doing here? Trying to prove a point? She hated body art and the thought of piercing any part of her made her light headed. This was a mistake. There was no way she'd be able to go through with it. For a moment she ran her hand along the ticket and nearly jumped when she realized that the ticket had more than one purpose. This was perfect! All she had to do was drop it in the bowl then tell her friends she found something cooler than a tattoo and couldn't pass it up! Now bursting with excitement she hurried over to the bowl and dropped the ticket like a hot rock. Dare or no dare there was no way she was getting a tattoo.

Gabriela Schultz walked in to the new tattoo parlour and piercing shop hesitantly, not even sure why she was there really other than the fact that this was a lovely place to socialize and possibly win free stuff. Parties and free things were always a good way to reel Gabi in. She doubted she'd be buying anything today since the fanciest piercing she had was her double pierced ears, but maybe she'd consider a tattoo...something small and dainty, like a flower on her shoulder or something. She'd always wanted one but had always been too busy to do something about it.
As she entered the shop, she looked around for whoever was handing out those golden tickets everyone was carrying when her eyes fell up HIM. That silly little Fletcher boy she'd met while on her lunch break one day. She smirked and crossed her arms.
"Hmm, I was considering getting a tattoo here but now that I see who operates this place...maybe I should reconsider," she said coyly. Maybe the prospect of a customer lost would make Fletcher re-think his earlier attitude towards her and treat her with the respect that she deserved.

Oh ho ho! And what did we have here? Handing the ticket to Ms. Candi September Powers had Fletcher grinning ear to ear again. So what if he was married? This right here was a FELLOW SHOPKEEPER/Business owner. A useful acquaintance to have, if he did say so himself. It helped that she was easy on the eyes, too.
"Well thank you for the welcome, Ms.... Miss? Powers," Fletcher shifted the tickets to his left hand and held out his right for a shake. "I'm Fletcher, just Fletcher. Thanks for coming! It seems we both have jobs that deal with ink."
Wink.

Fletcher handed off a coupon to another pretty blonde and nearly turned his head to watch the rest of her entrance into the shop. But. Alas. He would go work the crowd laaaaater. Hehe.

Fletcher smiled a bit to himself but let the customer be. Some people were just... different. Didn't mean he wouldn't try to weasel this one into buying something later, but for now, he was manning the door.

Candi accepted the pretty golden ticket with a smile. It was greet to be going to another new shop. Just as Candi took over Scribbulus, more and more shops started popping up.
"Candi please," Candi replied with a smile to the handsome shopkeeper as she shook his hand. Miss Powers sounded much to formal. Candi was still young, she didn't want to be called such a formal thing as Miss Powers. "Well Fletcher it is a pleasure to meet you! I'm excited seeing another new store," Candi said, it was fun seeing Diagon Alley blooming. "Yes!" she beamed. "Though I must say your job seems much more interesting. Yes, Candi already had a couple of designs she was thinking about. She'd been wanting a tattoo for a while now. It was perfect timing!

Dia began to feel a small level of satisfaction at the knowledge that she had cleverly avoided what might have been a disastrous mistake. Now with the shop filling up all she had to do was get a few people to see her face as evidence incase her friends were to drop by. This wouldn't be hard, afterall none of them had horns or fangs and the worst they could do was yell or brush her off and even that didn't matter as long as she was seen.
She slowly ran her eyes along the width of the room. She needed the perfect witness someone that was critical to making her story believable--the man handing out the tickets! oh no...she found herself blushing as she remembered what a fool she had made of herself on her way in. It got her thinking, maybe someone else...?

Alright, Legend had to admit, even the outside of this place looked pretty wicked. There wasn't too much of a crowd though, so he got to Fletcher quickly. He gave Neptune a slight nudge, with his elbow and smiled at the Puff. He wouldn't forget what happened LAST time they spoke but.
.....He was opening his own shop. And it seemed soon. So that made up for it right?
Legend took the ticket happily, but as soon as the lei was placed on him he pulled it off and placed it over Neptune's head. There, she could have two, it did not go with his jacket anyways. . He was only here because of her anyways. She had invited him to come and support her supporting Fletcher. He quickly scanned the ticket before looking back toward Fletcher with a small smirk. "It seems to be a nice place you got here. But i'm pretty sure if you give all your service away for free you'll got out of business pretty quickly."
His attention wavered just a bit as he caught sight of Lafay and THE Minister! Woah. He should have worn a tie.

Seeing was making a believer out of Neptune Bott. She looped her arm through Legend's so she could openly gape and not get separated from him.
The Champion had opened a shop.
A shop that put permanent ink and holes in people.
Neptune couldn't HELP but be proud of Duncan, but he was The Champion, not Hole-Punch McGruff. So there was that.
But also, there was Legend. He was going to try and get a tattoo, wasn't he? Oh, and the fact that he and Duncan weren't the BEST of pals. Still though, Neptune kept her YATI close, even at events celebrating weirdness beyond Neptune's imaginations.
She happily took Legend's lei, and traded him her golden ticket. HE was muuuuuch more likely to get a tattoo than her. "Hello, Duncan Fletcher." Tune pulled at the hem of her skirt with her free un-Legend-laden hand to give the shop OWNER a half curtsy. "He won't give it all away for free. Just free perks to us." His friiiiiiiiiiiiends. His cupcake friend. And his cupcake friend's.... friend. "Isn't that right, Mr. Owner?" Post-curtsy, Neptune offered that free hand to The Champion.

But you know, he was too nice to say that to sweet Candi.
"Please, go on in and help yourself to some refreshments, Candi," he gestured for her to enter the shop. "My assistant and I will be in shortly to mingle." And hopefully, more shopkeepers would have showed up by then too!

Fletcher WOULD play nice today, though, he WOULD.
"Thanks, Chosen," he responded to the manboy calmly, winking as Neptune sort of butted in. "It's not free, though, read the ticket." It was just a COUPON.
Merlin. Gryffindors really WERE dumb, weren't they? SEE THOUGH, he wasn't saying THAT comment aloud. All for you, Neptune, all for you.
"Hello Neptune Awesome Bott," Fletcher took her hand and bowed his head, giving it a Champion-like kiss. "You're always right, as you already know." He straightened back up, his eyes twinkling, and gestured for her to go on in. "Please, mingle and light up the place with your pretty. I'm glad you could make it."
He really, really was. It meant a lot to Fletcher to have Important and Pretty People at his shop's opening.

Speaking of pretty.... Fletcher just sort of stared as one gorgeous blonde strolled up, fetched her ticket, and then strolled on in to the shop. Well well WELL. He didn't even remember HANDING her a ticket. Oops. Apparently she'd gotten one though, and not minded his gaping...?
Could he just like, keep these people here for a while? Yeah? They sure were better lookers than that Mannequin of theirs...

Gabi wrinkled her eyebrows in confusion...that phrase was new to her and she wasn't entirely sure what he meant when he said she was a wolf in sheep's clothing. He probably meant it as an insult, no doubt, but Gabi took it as a compliment. Wolves were strong, duh! And obviously she was a Slytherin, so being cunning was something to be proud of. Silly Hufflepuff, trying to insult her when all he'd done was accidentally compliment her.
His next statement, however, made her jump a bit. "Wait, what??" she exclaimed, throwing a hand over her part instinctively before she remembered she'd gotten her hair done a mere 6 days ago...there was no way she had roots yet! She rolled her eyes and resisted the urge to stick her tongue out at him--she was in public, after all--and shook her head. "They are not, and you seem like the type of man to know that wizarding hair dye lasts twice as long as normal, muggle hair dye," she added. Oh yeah, she could see Fletcher rocking some frosted tips back in the day when the whole boy band look was in style.
Sighing and growing tired of this squabbling, she took the golden ticket and then looked around the shop in interest. "So, this is an...odd profession for a Triwizard Champion to go in to...is tattooing a hobby of yours?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Being engaged was weird. Honestly, Grayson was excited about it, but it was also just weird. That was an adult thing, and she knew neither her nor Demarcus really seemed anything like the adults she knew. They weren't anything like Uncle Nathaniel, at least, or her parents. They were just themselves, still hyper and loving candy and ice cream. Just now, they were all of that and in even more of a serious relationship than before. Which was just weird, and she'd needed a distraction. Diagon Alley was always a distraction, even though she hadn't had anything to do with more pranks there for ages.
She'd stopped off at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, anyhow. There had been no reason not to, just like there had been no reason not to go to the apothecary and buy more potion ingredients. She hadn't abandoned that part of the things she'd accomplished in school either. But then she'd just started wandering down the street, contemplating a visit to either Sugarplums or Florean's. Those didn't happen, though, as first she came across a new shop. Eyeing the sign, a slight grin crept onto her face. This could be interesting, she thought, turning to head towards the door. Even if she'd never thought about getting a tattoo or anything before, at least it was something new. And different, which she liked.

Deciding that she was perfectly willing to pay full price for whatever work she got done here and being extremely curious about what exactly the prize was, Roxanne folded the coupon in half and slipped it into the fishbowl.

When Dia saw someone else drop the ticket into the bowl her heart jump. That girl could definitely be all the witness she needed. Afterall she hadn't seen her fumbled in like a dog with it's tail crossed between it's legs on her way in. Straightening her back and lifting her head she made her way over to the stranger and put on a warm smile. Hi there, I'm Dia... so um I noticed you dropped your ticket in there too. What do you think the prize will be?
That was it, all she had to do as pace herself and hopefully the conversation would bloom. Then she could have her vouch for her when she confronted her friends later as to why she bailed on a dare that she swore her life on. She sighed internally, she should have known better than to take them on when it came to matters that she had no clue about such as the Quidditch Cup. It was truly stupid to agree to get a tatto if the team she was rooting for lost and she should have seen the warning when no one else was on that teams side. Some lessons shouldn't have had to be learnt the practical way.

SPOILER!!: Neptune & Fletcher

Well, him having an extra ticket really wouldn't do him any good. It was probably one per person. However if he tried to charm the tickets to merge together, now THAT would be awesome.
Oh..wasn't free huh? Legend looked down at the ticket again, this time actually reading the shiny golden paper. Oh. nay two galleons off? Pssh."But we are us, so we get stuff for free right?" Right Mr Champion? Huh? Legend gave a small nudge to the guy. The Legend Chosen and The Neptune Bott deserved more than just two measly galleons off something.
One thing that Legend would give Fletcher credit for was his ability to be all gentleman like. All winking, and kissing hands, and complementing.
He probably didn't even need classes!
Good job.

Legends eyes wandered over to another person who had arrived at the shop. He looked at her for a few seconds, blinked, and continued to look.
"They don't sell cool shoes here." He said simply, as he eyed the blonde.

She also wasn't going to READ the ticket. Duncan Fletcher knew better than that. She was here for HIM, not to give him money and permanently ink herself. Neptune forgave him QUICKLY though, him returning to her old nickname (Awesome Bott) and his Oohhhhh So Charming hand kisses.
The Champion was so dreamy. Forever. Always. Neptune giggled, but inched in closer to Legend. You know, lest the Champion forget himself. "I'll do just that, all for youuuu, Duncan. But don't leave us unattended too long."

"Come on, Mr. Chosen. Duncan is busy here. Let's go see what he's done inside," Neptune raised her free hand up and rested it against her other hand tucked into the crook of her YATI's escort arm.
Hmmm?
What about shoes? Was Legend regretting his shoe choice? Neptune had eyed them earlier herself. "We'll get you more. Don't worry, no one will notice here."

It had been awhile since Dominic ventured into Diagon Alley for simply leisure. But with the ickle students back at Hogwarts, who was he to resist sticking his nose into the new shops he read about in the Prophet?
Paradise Piercings and Tattoos? That was certainly different. And while Dominic Denton had no reason to taint his body with permanent holes or ink, he couldn't deny his natural curiosity to investigate. See who was running the place.
But as the 24-year-old stepped into the shop, he instantly felt as though he'd been taken back 7 years ago at sight of MANY familiar faces. Including one who he'd even worked with for a short time at Gringotts. The one who handed him a golden ticket.
"I hope this golden ticket isn't for chocolate, because I don't like chocolate, Fletcher." Because yes, even though the books were several decades old, that didn't mean he hadn't heard of the legacy of the Chocolate Factory.

Hmm… that was the million galleon question, wasn't it? What was the prize? "Well it's probably something related to the shop some how, so maybe and completely free tattoo or piercing." Yep, that was her best guess. After all, it would be great word of mouth advertising. "I'm Roxanne, by the way. Nice to meet you."
