He never really listened to his father but it was important to take anything he said for granted just in case. He was just about to make it to the phone booth when he spotted a wallet lying on the ground. He picked it up, and noticed a man standing right above it. "Is this yours? It looks like you were begging for someone to pick it up for you." He grinned. "My names Joeseph. Were you planning to use this phone booth?"
Oh come on, when was the coast going to be clear? There, finally. He was about to open the door of the phone booth when a man turn the corner and stooped down next to him. Mason casually ran a hand through his hair. Casually, riiight. Then the man approached him with a wallet. HIS wallet. What?! He dropped it?!
"Oh..." He briefly checked his back pocket where his wallet usually stayed. Empty. He raised his eyebrows at him
"Yeah, it is! Thanks, mate." He said, taking the wallet and quickly checking to make sure all of his belongings were in it.
Phone booth. What phone boo- Oh. Right. Now was the part where it got tricky. Was this guy a Muggle or a Wizard...? He looked... human. Gah.
"No, I wasn't." Pause.
"But if you're looking to make a phone call, you won't have much luck. This ol' things been broken for years." If you want to go down to a super-secretive low-profile magical organization, however... That was a different story.
