Stepping out onto the muggle sidewalk, Kenzie sighs with unknown feelings. She's not sure what just happened, and isn't sure what she should do now. She loves Erik, but can't bring herself to split him and Nessa up. She wouldn't do that.
Yet hadn't she just done that, by not pushing him away and allowing the kiss and even kissing him back just as passionately? Leaning against the building on behind her, she rubs her temples. She'd made mistakes before, but never this bad. Nor had she fallen this hard.
She promised Erik she'd stay, and she would. Leaning her head back against the building she looks up at the sky.

Erik stepped out onto the sidewalk and found Kenzie leaning against a building. Walking slowly over toward her he leaned against the building as well with a sigh. "What a day..."
He turned his head and looked at her with a small grimace, "She yelled..then slapped me..and now I'm here. With ye." He swallowed and looked at her, "I'm sorry." It seemed he was apologizing a lot today.

Watching as he exited the building, Kenzie's face softens as he explains what had happened.
Pushing herself away from the wall, she stands up to her full height again, not much of a difference but it's something. Turning to face him, she places her hand on his cheek.
"Even if this means, you are staying Nessa, I'm so happy it happened. Because I learned that you love me. That's all that matters." Lowering her eyelashes she sighs with nervousness more then anything.
Putting both hands on either side of his face, she stands on on her tiptoes and kisses him gently on the lips. Though that might have been the last kiss she gave him, she wanted to at least give him one in parting. "I love you Erik Jensen."
Erik's face softened as he felt Kenzie's hand on his cheek and he closed his eyes. He felt bad for doing that to Vanessa. He really did love her and her little girl. He knew she was going to hate him now but...it was something he needed to do. Now that he thought about it every girl he dated reminded him of Kenzie...dark hair...short.... He opened his eyes and looked at her.
"I'm not..." he said softly as his hand went to hers on his cheek. "I couldn't do that ta her..not when my heart is elsewhere...she'll realize that one day."
He looked at her as she put her other hand against his other cheek and kissed him. He chuckled as she had to stand on her tiptoes. "I love ye Kenzie...I always have. Was just...too stubborn ta realize it." He wrapped his arms around her and gave her a tight hug, sighing. "I wish I didn't feel like a right git fer doin' that ta her," he whispered more to himself but knew she would hear.

Her eyes shining with unshed tears, when she realized what he was fully saying. Leaning her head against his hand, she closes her eyes. She finally felt that everything was going to be all right. She was in love with this wonderfully perfect man, and she knew he was in love with her as well, now.
Being wrapped in his arms felt perfectly wonderful. Laying her head on his chest with her hand resting next to it, she sighs contentedly. "I'm glad you finally realized it." she whispers.
Hearing him say he felt like a git, she remains silent for a moment. She knew what he was feeling and knew nothing she said would change it. Though one concern still nibbled at the back of her mind. "If the baby is yours, I would like you to at least be there for her and the baby." she says just as softly as he had just been.

Erik smiled as Kenzie rested her head on his chest. This was right. He was right and as much as he didn't want to admit it, he was glad this happened. If Kenzie had left he'd have spent the rest of his life wondering what could have happened. "I am too," he gave her a squeeze and rested his head against hers again.
Hearing her words though he looked thoughtful, "If it is mine o' course I would." He wouldn't think twice if that was the case. But she seemed so sure it wasn't. Pulling his head back he smiled at her then the smile fell, "What about that job o' yers in the States?" Surely they would be expecting her.

Feel safe nothing could deter her from the happiness she felt. This is what she had longed for, and it took both her and Erik being so stubborn, before they realized what they almost lost.
Nodding her head against his chest, she smiles "Good, I would want you to." she said simply. Pulling her head away slightly as he asks about her job, she looks up at him. "I will send an owl directly to them. Thanking them for the job, but declining it." Nothing not even a job was going to stop her from being with him. "I have some money saved up, so until I find a job I'll be fine."
Her eyes sparkling with the newfound love, she can't wait to see what the future would bring for them.

Erik smiled more to himself since her head was against his chest. He should have realized this ages ago. How could he have been so stupid, he almost lost her. Looking down at her as she spoke about her job. So she was going to stay. A grin formed on his face and he smirked, "Well...if ye need anythin' I can help."

He was so happy it was a little scary.
Seeing his smirk, she giggles. "Well there's just one thing I need, at the moment." Raising her finger to his lips, she touches them lightly "and that's you."

Erik laughed and shook his head, "Not exactly what I meant." Looking at her fondly he kissed her fingers, "But good ta know none the less." Pushing her hair back behind her ears he smiled, "I meant if ye needed a place ta stay or some help or somethin'."

Loving hearing his laugh once again, she smiles with her eyes twinkling. She had known what he meant, but couldn't resist. Giggling, she curls up in his arms.
"Mmmm, a place to stay would be nice...but..." thinking to herself, she wonders if that would be moving too fast. "I could stay here, at least for now...I have the room already, I could just extend it."

He wrapped his arms around Kenzie tighter as he heard her giggle and smirked. A place to stay.... Looking at the building opposite them thoughtfully he reached into his pocket and pulled out the key to the estate in Scotland that he didn't live at but visited cause of the owls.
"Well...I have a place ye can stay at. I don't live there mahself. If ye want ye can stay there...ye'll have ta apparate though it's a bit far." He held the key so she could see it with a shrug. It was the least he could do for her giving up everything for his stubborn self after all.

Mmmmm, she sighs inwardly happily in his arms. Not too far, I hope for frequent visits.
Biting her lip, she keeps a smile from forming, just so she seemed serious about the not living together thing, though she wouldn't mind in the least anyway. Her eyes twinkling in laughter despite her best efforts to look serious.
"Thank you" she murmurs, happily. She couldn't believe they were together finally, it seemed too unreal!
She knew she'd still give him time, though she hoped more excitement would flood their future together, very soon! She wanted him to have as much time as he could possibly need though.
James stared at the man. "Could you repeat that?" He asked tiredly, ""I missed what you were actually trying to say with all the repeated consonants." The writer was perplexed as the man thanked him for his sarcastic remark. "Lad, I do think.." But he felt that straightening him out was harsh - even too much for his standards. "Yes.. well I do try," James told him with a sigh. What the wizarding community was coming to these days. "Where did you find that jacket?" It was certainly .. unique.
"You got in through the telephone box?" James frowned and the nodded understandingly. "That's the Ministry's muggle entrance. It's meant to look inconscipuous and is therefore the most commonly found thing in London - a red phone box. Personally, I thought it should've been a McDonalds but whatever floats their boat." He looked the man up and down and then laughed as he recounted his adventures, "Right. Well you're lucky you managed to trip over me and not some chav because then you would've been in a right dog's breakfast." Lucky really. Riiiiight.
"I don't think it's me you need to worry about," James told him off-handedly. The reporter was unscathed, this other James on the otherhand looked like he would fall to pieces. "Really?" James asked, geniunely interested. "I started last week. That place is strange and extremely poverty stricken. The editor told me they couldn't afford desks. How odd!?" Well no, she'd said there might not be enough but .. that was ridiculous! Had they heard of Duplio. Golly. "Does he? What's his name?" Then again, James knew more of the woman at the Prophet than the men. Smiiiirk
James's creamy cheeks flushed a bright pink. This man's honesty about his stutter was something James had never encountered before and it took him completely off guard and made him even more ill at ease if that was possible. He wanted to cry – this was impossible and he only to get back to the safety of the Ministry. He flinched when a heavy lorry roared past them at top speed and backed further away from the road. “The M-Minstry!” He whimpered looking at the muggle with wide alarmed eyes. “D-d-do you know th-th-th-the way there, sir?”
His jacket? The rapid change of subject took James off guard and his usually open features darkened slightly into a frown. “Malkins. The s-second hand Mu-muggle section.” He offered and looked down at his red jacket with big shiny gold buttons. He loved this jacket dearly– it was his favourite item of clothing in his vast and eccentric wardrobe.
OH! That was a telephone box! James had read about such contraptions but never imagined they would look like that. He started to relax a bit when the muggle fellow explained what it was for. “G-goodness, your knowledge is out-outstanding, sir.” He said, a smile creeping up his face. “But what is this Muck-McDonalds you speak of?” He asked curiously. The only McDonalds James had heard of were the wizards of the McDonalds clan. Chav? He blinked looking confused. “Is that a b-breed of dog?” A vicious dog who would want to eat him by the sounds of it. The irony of that wasn't particularly funny to James and he bit down on his bottom lip nervously.
The Daily Prophet couldn't afford desks? James look perplexed. How does a writer work without so much as a desk? Refraining from asking.. because he couldn't bring himself to form the sentence, he merely nodded. “O-odd indeed.” He agreed. “Na-Nath-Nathaniel G-G-Greenwood.” He managed. “Do you kn-know him?” James's favourite brother. His other brothers could be rather scary – James was positively terrified of Oliver and that harsh tongue of his. He found himself quite unable to speak when he was around the boy he made him so nervous.
Were people with speech impairments also remarkable stupid, too? He watched the man with unguarded boredom and nodded at his question. Duh. "You'd think so, wouldn't you?" What a losty.
Yes, the jacket was certainly.. charismatic. He tried not to sneer at the rather poor choice in clothing. It was ostentatious and looked like it had come out of a poor elf's clothing pool. "Right." Did he care where this man had got the jacket? No. He'd just wanted to change the topic. His slight concession was lost on this sort.
It made it so much worse that the guy was looking at it like he liked it. Merlin.. he DID like it! "You .. er.. like it then?" What a fashion disaster.
James had concluded the guy was either a hermit, a pureblood or an complete doink. And despite his obnoxiousness, he was leaning towards the 2nd one.
He smiled slightly at the compliment. He was very worldly and cultured.
McDonalds? Who hadn't heard of the greatest cause of heart disease on the planet? "It's a fast food company - they make burgers and chips and stuff.." Man..
He guffawed at the man's idea of a chav. A dog? *snigger* "They're kinda like dogs, aren't they? Terrifying when unprovoked, incredibly stupid and they growl at you when you're trying to be friendly."
James had tried to date one once but he quite fancied his appearance. She seemed to think his nose was dispensable ><
"Just.. if you ever end up here again - avoid muggles altogther. They're a crazy bunch. They might get their credit cards on you.." ha. Oh, he was so mean. Poor guy was stuttering on like a shy 5 year old and James was going to make him scared of a piece of plastic
Odd indeed was right. How hard was a duplio spell? Didn't they know how to use their wands?
Hmm. Nathaniel.. Nathaniel.. "Married to Egypt? He's all 'peace out Homie' type thing? He's a nutter.." But in James' opinion if he'd managed to bag a woman like Egypt he was a legend.

Kara walked along the sidewalk, muggle cell phone in her hand. She came from a magical family that always had a strange love for muggle technology. Kara wasn't sure exactly what she would do with out her cell phone, muggle laptop and that ipod thing. In one hand was the ipod and the other was carrying onto her leather Betsey Johnson purse. Savannah had picked it out for her. That girl always had great taste.

Tinsley, as usual, was completely lost in her iPod. Flipping through her music, she couldn't figure out which song she wanted to listen to. There were just so many! Was she in the mood for rap? Pop? Alternative? She loved it all. Except country. Yuck. Finally finding a song to her liking, she pressed play and BAM! She had bumped into someone! Looking over, she saw it was a girl. "Oh, I'm sorry!" she said. "I got a little lost in my iPod." She gave the girl a one-over. "Oooh, I love your bag! Is it Betsey Johnson?" It had to be.
Tins, of course, was dressed in Jimmy Choo heels, True Religion jeans and a Betsey Johnson blouse. Designer from head to toe, and she rocked it, too.

Getting her phone out, reading a text message from Amberly back in the States Kara smiled. All of her friends were sending her so much love since she left. They missed her but they all seemed so excited she had gotten a good job. Texting back.....
I'm so excit
BAM. Another girl bumped into her and Kara's phone fell on the ground. Kara's green eyes grew, a bit worried for her phone's safety. She picked the phone up and sighed, happily. The phone was okay, thank goodness. "It's okay."Kara said, finishing the text message and putting the phone back into her purse, now smiling at the girl before her."Oh, and yeah it is. I'm guessing your shirt is Betsey too ?"It sure looked like it.

Yay for someone with good taste.
Tinsley smiled. Yay, the girl was nice! And she knew fashion, too. Thank the gods! "Of course it is. Betsey is one of my favorites!" she gushed. She was such a little fashionista. Her iPhone began to beep - she looked down to see a message from Oliver. Her smile grew but she wasn't going to be inpolite and text while she was talking to the other girl. So she stuck her phone in her pocket and stuck her hand out. "Tinsley Silverstone. Nice to meet you!"

Kara slipped her phone into her purse and smiled warmly at the girl. What was p with people being so friendly here ? Of course, Kara didn't have a problem with it, Kara wasn't the type of person who liked rudeness. "Mee too ! My niece picked the bag out for me, I love it. It's one of my favorites."K said while thinking about her 17 year old niece. Yeah, there was less than a 5 year age difference and the fact that they behaved more like friends than family.
Kara shook the girls hand, Tinsley, cute name. "Kara Carter, I just moved from Miami."She said with a nod. The weather felt so....cold even if it wasn't cold, it was actually pretty warm for spring in London but it was cold to Kara. Hehe.

"Nice!" Tinsley replied. Finally, she had met someone in London who understood her fashion sense. She wish she had a niece, but her big brother probably wouldn't be settling down to have children anytime soon.
She nodded. "I love Miami! I'm from Atlanta, actually, but we have a beach house in Miami. It's one of my favorite places." Hmm. Was there a possiblity that Tinsley had found herself a new bff? Maybe!

"Really ?"Kara said her eyes wide. She had an uncle Robert that lived in ATL as well as many cousins, she had never been to Atlanta though even if she wanted to though. She drove through it once with her family if that counted ?"I've never been to Atlanta except for the air port and driving through it to get to Virginia to visit family." Cue the eyeroll. Stupid mountains. "That's really awesome though ! I kind of miss Miami but I needed a change."

*shrug*
Tinsley nodded. "I loveeee Atlanta. It's amazing. My only complaint is that it gets too hot down there during the summer. That's why some people call it 'Hotlanta'." She laughed. Tins had always thought that was a stupid nickname for such an epic place.
She nodded. "I kinda needed a chance, too, really. I just wanted to go somewhere so that I could be on my own for a little while, without having to be around my family." Yeah... none of them would ever come to England if they could help it. Snicker.

Kara laughed for a moment, "I know how you feel even though Florida is a bit worse. Hotlanta ? Okayyyyyy....?"Kara said while shaking her head. In all honesty though, she didn't really mind the heat anything was better than being cold. *shrug*
hotlanta was still a dorky name for a city, hehe. It sounded like something Hirik would sat. Nodding as Tinsley spoke, it seemed like these two girls had a lot in common."I'm doing the exact same thing you are, there is a lot of drama going on back home and I just needed to escape it all."Kara said with a sigh. She hoped things would get better for her sister.

Tinsley agreed. "Florida is definitely worse." Although the heat was unbearable in Atlanta, with all the concrete around to absorb it. Ugh. "Yeah, I think it's an awful nickname, too." She laughed.
She nodded. "Understandable. I'm not escaping from drama, I'm merely flying out of the nest, going on my own adventure." She giggled again. It sounded funny, but that's really what she was doing, going on an adventure of her own for once. And she was having fun, too.
