Why was she suddenly leaning in towards him like that?

He liked kissing girls and all that, but he didn't really find Kanedie appealing in that way. She was more of a friend than anything.

"Errr..." He blinked at her. He had no idea how else to react here. And it was weird because it was Dan McDean, he always was so smooth and amazing and girls were kissing him all over the place on a daily basis.

Ken felt MORTIFIED. She stared dumbfounded at Den who was not kissing her back at all. He completely did not feel the same way, and that was really obvious. And really, really embarrassing. She remembered something suddenly. She had stepped inside the Leaky Cauldron earlier that day and heard someone saying they were meeting Vannie later that day. She looked at Den, said, "Wait right here!" and made a mad dash across the street, almost allowing a Muggle taxi to obliterate her.

He really had no idea what to think of all this. She was acting really odd, and it was sorta freaking him out a little. Not that he would ever say that because he was Dan McDean, and nothing freaked him out ever.

"Okay?" he said before watching her dart off.

Kenedie stepped back out of the Leaky Cauldron scowling and stomping. She could see Den, and she began walking his way. It felt like it took an eternity with all of the anger boiling up inside of her. She finally reached him, and for a second she was completely silent.

"You're not getting married," she said simply.

She was mad at him. He could see by the look on her face as she went back over to him.

"No, I'm not. I'm single. Though I have something with her." He shrugged as he took a sip of his tea. It was starting to get cold now.

"It was all just for fun. I figured you wouldn't really care." That was how he played, and he wasn't going to apologize for it.

Kenedie stared at him in disbelief. "You're really something, Den. Hmm, you have something with her. Yeaah, I don't care to know what that means." She chuckled. Men. Such pigs. "I don't really care," she said, flipping her hair casually. "I just felt bad after I accidentally kissed you. I'm a real honest person, so I felt that I needed to be upfront about what I had done." She shrugged and hoped that she was playing off the I-don't-care attitude well.

Well, he was glad that she didn't care really. She was embarrassed he assumed. He wondered what she had told Vannie, and what Vannie said back to her. But it didn't really matter to him much because he didn't think there would be any trouble with this.

"So why did you kiss me then?" That he didn't get seeing as he and her were sorta just... platonic.

Oh, I don't know, Ken thought. Couldn't be because I am insanely attracted to you, despite the fact that you OBVIOUSLY don't feel the same way for me. Nope, couldn't be that at all. She groaned miserably.

"I don't really know why I did it..." she said in all honesty. "It was stupid, and I'm sorry. I know it was really awkward and stuff." Gahhh, the conversation just kept getting more weird. What happened to the nice talk of Muggle theme parks and stuff?

Eh. This was sorta odd, but it was okay. "It's fine. We can forget it. It was meaningless." He shrugged and went back to his paper. If only it had been Becca or Brenna that kissed him. Now those ladies were hot. Too bad Becca was married...

Sure, it might have stung to hear Den basically say that her kiss meant absolutely nothing, but she would be stupid to stop talking to him. They had been hitting it off wonderfully as...friends?...before that weird incident. She decided it'd be best to pick right back up.

"So have you ever been to any type of theme park? I have been to loads and loads of them." She smiled at him.

He shrugged at her question. Theme parks were never really his thing. "Er, maybe when I was little. Never was too interested in them." He was too interested in himself to care about anything else.

"I might want to try a roller coaster though." They seemed rather fun to him.

She smiled at his attitude, something that she liked, though she didn't know why. He seemed really self-centered, but she loved the challenge. She didn't know why she was so into him, but she was. Saddest thing was that he wasn't into her at allllllllll.

"Roller coasters are the freaking best," she said excitedly. "We really should go soon. It would be awesome. Tons of fun." She nodded enthusiastically.

He smiled and nodded. But he was getting a bit bored here. "Yeah, they sound awesome. Can't wait." He wasn't sure when they would be going or anything, but that didn't matter. They could work that out later. "So, you planning on doing anything else today?" Because if it sounded interesting he would stay with her. If not, he would go home or something.

Kenedie thought about it for a second. "Actually," she said suddenly, "I was thinking about apparating over to the US for the day to watch some Nascar races. I haven't in a while. My parents and I used to go to almost every race. It's super easy when you can apparate. And they'd always drag me along for side-along since I loved it so much. I miss that." She thought about her parents and made a mental note to go visit them sometime soon, except that she was afraid they would try to shrink her again. They thought she was mentally disturbed because of the kidnapping, which she kind of was. She just sort of forgot about it around Den.

He raised his brow at her. "You're into car racing?" He never would have taken her to be that sort of girl really. She seemed to be... well, not really the NASCAR kid of girl. "Sure. I mean I like racing. And otherwise I'd just go home. Or hit on someone." Because that's what he did. He thought of Brenna. Maybe he would see if she was doing anything later. She was so hot.

She raised her eyebrow? Really? Why couldn't he just hit on her? Before him, she had thought she was pretty attractive. Ugh. Perhaps notttt...

"Yeah," she said casually, "I've liked car racing since I was like...a toddler. We have pictures of me on my first Halloween. I was a race car driver. Pretty awesome, right?" She smiled at him. "You should definitely come with me."

"I've only watched that stuff on TV," he admitted to her. But that was okay, because it was pretty awesome on TV. "But yeah, I'll go with you. When is it?" Because he wasn't sure if they were to leave now, or he would have time to do other things first.

"I believe it starts in like an hour. If we wanna get seats and all that stuff, we better go now. I actually already have two tickets. One was for Asher, but he...he said he had better stuff to do," she said, trailing off. She wasn't sure why Asher was so mad at her. The kidnapping hadn't been her fault, and if she hadn't been there, they would have never made it out. They only did because she was a fully trained witch. She had saved his life, and he seemed to hate her for it. She didn't understand at all. It made her really sad. She had bought the tickets in hopes of reuniting with him, but he had been so cold.

Birce, with a long yawn that felt like her lips were tearing apart, entered the cafe, eyes watered because of the power of the yawn. Should have... slee--eeeeept... more than three hours. Going half blind, she ordered herself a cup of coffee and not even looking around, sat at the nearest table, gulping it down. Then it occured to her that this café was very close to Ministry--meaning, there was a high possibility she could see an acquaintance with this messy hair of hers. It wasn't that messy to be laughed at, of course, she looked to it at home in the little five minutes she got ready with the fear of being late, but still... it wasn't her usual tidy hair either. Where was the rest room here?

Dominic shook his head, giving Khloe a large smile. "Nothin'. Merely thinking. I swear, it'll one day be the death of me." Too much stress on the brain. Chuckling slightly, Dom shook his head, "She'll calm down. She can't always be a ball of energy. Can she?" Hopefully not. Always destroying the house. Making everything...messy. Dominic couldn't stand an unoderly house, and that's what Kaydence happened to be most fond of.

Flinching, his face even near twitching, Dom slowed his breathing. He was not going to have a panic attack. No, no, no. "Welllllll....THAT just doesn't make sense!" he nearly exploded, so much for being calm. "I mean, it would just be so completely weird if everyone in the house's names started with a K, besides my own. The boys HAVE to start with D. Or we can just be deemed unethical and not caring about what other people think of are family!"

Khloe chuckled, "Thinking will be the death of you, eh ? "she said, laughing. Oh Dominic....he could be so weird at times. Khloe snorted hearing him speak, "your wrong, when we are alone she never calms down but when you are around it is a whole different story."Khloe shook her head, the kids took after her father. Weird. It's like she cahnged around Dominic ? Maybe she was more scared of him...? Khloe didn't know, it's not like Dominic yelled at Kaydence or anything.

Khloe's eyes grew as Dominic exploded on her. She knew he had problems but it just came so out of the blue ! It always happened this way though, it always did."Dom, baby, calm down."She said, holding onto his hand in hopes of getting him to calm down."The boys' names can start with a D,it is alright..."MERLIN. Carrying a little pile of books Ryan Chambers who was wearing his usual suit, walked in the muggle cafe to relax a little with a cup of fine earl grey tea. Yes, Ryan was a tea man as he always preferred tea over coffee and he was happy about it. Tea was the best! And real men did drink firewhisky tea. Whatever...

Finding a new empty table to himself, at first he set the books on the table then he sat down comfortably and looked around for any waiter or waitress until his light blue eyes spotted a woman he knew : Birce. Since it had been quite a time since the last time he had seen her, the blond man was not sure about how to approach her nevertheless he stood up, grabbed his books and walked near the woman's table. ''Ehem, ehem.'' he cleared his throat for attention ''Hello, Birce''

This café either had no rest room, or it was her eyes' incapability to spot it. Just as Birce was about to get up and ask to a waitress, she heard a rather familiar cough. Flickering them to the man, the brown eyes narrowed at the sight of Ryan Chambers, the very man who had not called her in a while.

"Hello, Ryan Chambers." she said coldly and formally, forgetting all about her appearance now. She was angry, and her messy hair would give her anger a different dimension. Since they hadn't seen each other for a LONG time, she should be formal, right? 'Cause obviously, they weren't friendly and close enough to be casual. Indicating at the empty chair, she asked "Would you like to sit?" Sir. She'd get to his reasons of not calling her in a bit... right after this "breaking ice" formality.

Ryan Chambers. Looking at Birce especially at her beautiful face Ryan raised his eyebrows at the formality. Obviously the woman was angry or upset for some reason he could not figure out. Strange. How come his skills did not work properly when he was with this woman? That was a mystery. She was cold like ice. Reason why was a mystery.

Yet since she asked if he would like to sit the case would not be too bad, would it. Maybe even he could help her. ''Mmm thank you'' he said smiling at her warmly to soften her a little and after setting the pile of books on the table he sat down on the empty chair she had indicated. ''Is there something wrong?''

Oh. Oh. That handsome, smiling and cute face, which Birce had almost forgotten. But how could she forget him, although he could obviously so easily forget her? Looking into his eyes, she softened a bit as her lips were about to return the smile, but remembering he had blatantly ignored her, she recovered. She wasn't going to make concession. He had to explain first.

Something wrong?! Did he really ask if there was something wrong?! She laughed a bit, though there was no humour in it. He hadn't called her for months right after telling her he was sick or something! Although she had a feeling he was doing alright, she had been worried without one single letter. There were MANY things wrong! But no, she wasn't going to yell. Yet. She'd wait for him to understand. "Except the fact that you practically ignored me and haven't contacted me for a few months, leaving me in GREAT wonder in the meantime if you were alright, everything's perfect." She crossed her arms as if she was daring him to say one more wrong thing. Hmpf. 'Is there something wrong?'... I'll show you what is wrong!
