Nicoli appeared through the doorway of the office. His eyes were a sharp, icy blue and his features were brooding. He caught the last of Forrester's sentence and smiled a little ruefully.
"Yes, I suppose that is required," he said taking a seat behind his desk and motioning for Forrester to do the same.
He sat upright in his chair and faced Forrester head on. "The Foreign Ministers are thankfully safe. However, I gather the Japanese Minister's necklace was stolen? By our elusive thief no doubt. That, I suppose was a blow to the already weakened."

Nicoli's eyes narrowed. "The woman who appeared," he said to his colleague, "I think should be given top priority; that display was rather malicious. She is a severe risk to the Minister and Mrs.Cooper, and more so as she is an animagus."
Nicoli only required to know the woman's name and for that, he believed that he and Forrester would have to interview the powerful couple-if they would agree to that. He'd heard someone say that the Minister had been very relaxed throughout the performance. That could only mean that he had faith in law enforcement- now they'd failed him.

"Yes you are right but before that I need us to put together a better way to communicate... A better way to play our parts in protecting the magical community... If you didn't understand I would like us to start working together much more like a team then two different division... You have your weakness and we have ours so together we can overcome this" Forrester added as he sat down.
"Now as for the thief and the woman... I guess we better start with the woman and get to her before she does anything else... Lets not forget that she has a very unusual animagus form, a mosquito is something you don't notice so I guess we need to start sealing the ministry against mosquitos.
As for the thief, he seem to know our each move before we do... He still is a way in front of us and he seems to have a certain intrest in me, sending me notes and such, he wants to test me it seems and you have been working on analyzing him so I guess you have the answer why he wants that... The only thing I can come up with is that he wants to be caught" Forrester revealed.
"The thing is that he wants to be caught while being chased and he wants it to be a good chase... However lets go back to the woman.. How about we begin asking Miss. Reagan as she has hired the entertainement?" Forrester asked.

"I completely agree with you there," Nicoli said smiling, "Thus far, we've been working without consulting each other-and that resulted in inefficiency."
He cracked his knuckles quickly, the uncomfortable memory of his last mess floating across his mind. Nicoli placed a quick-quotes-quill on a miraculously clean sheet of parchment and nodded in agreement with his counter-part.

"Yes...though she might be swatted if she's not careful..." Nicoli smiled. "Did we get the name of this woman? Or do you think it is possible to get a physical description?" he asked watching his quill scratching away. It maybe an old fashioned way of keeping track of things-but it had worked wonders for Nicoli in school.
"She obviously has some sort of fascination with the Minister and a hatred of Mrs Cooper...so I gather she has something to do with their past." he frowned. He knew all too well that the couple will be most unwilling to answer to their own employees. Another line was added to the already lengthening paragraph on the mystery woman.

Nicoli watched as the quill began a new paragraph; he swept his eyes towards Forrester's. "You're a challenge," he said. "The thief is rather arrogant, and so it would be more appropriate to say that he enjoys avoiding getting caught. He's a sort of thrill seeker, and I suppose he enjoys waving his success under your nose as well..."
Nicoli smiled, knowing full well that that success had been flaunted around him also. He tapped his fingers on the desk. "You could say he wants to go down fighting," he nodded.

"Ms. Regan will definitely be the person to begin with," he said as the quick-notes-quill squeezed in an extra line. "Though she may not have meant to have the woman come up...No. She's the person to ask-she may even have a name, which will make our job easier."

"So what are we waiting lets go ask her or shall we ask her to come here to the interrogation room?" Forrester asked,

Nathan decided that he must be in the right place because neither Nicoli nor Forrester had pointed out that he should be doing something else. He sat back and propped his feet up on the desk and looked over at them from his desk in the corner of the room not able to help eavesdropping on their conversation. ...Well... it was either that or have a doze. A wry smile curled up his lips as Nicoli talked of the thief enjoying waving his success under everyone's noses. He always found it interesting how the two division heads communicated with each other.

After a few moments he stood up, thinking it a bit rude just sitting there gawking at them and made his way out of the office and to the break room to have a coffee before the action started. If, indeed, there was to be any action...

Forrester seemed to be pre- occupied with matters. "Sir, my name is Crash Maddux and I know you are pre-occupied with matters, will you assign me to an office? he asked him' I know you need a lot of help and I would be good as an auror because I like to catch all the bad guys" Crash told Forrester. Hopefully this time he would not be ignored.

Forrester watched as a new comer came crushing into Nicoli's office and talked to Nicoli as if he was him. "Sorry I missunderstood you are you here for me or for Nicoli" Forrester said as he pointed at himself first before pointing at Nicoli

Nicoli thought for a moment. "Well, we wouldn't want to embarrass her in front of her employees...so I suppose it's more considerate to ask her to the interrogation room."

Nicoli blinked at the new comer. Like Forrester, he was at a loss as to whom he was talking to.
"I'm sorry, uh...Mr Maddux. Were you not assigned to a division as you were hired?" he cocked his head slightly.

" I was hoping someone could tell me where I was assigned because when I got hired, the department head never told me anything" Crash told Forrster and Nicoli. " Actually, someone in the Aura department told me to ask you Mr. Forrester HufflePuff about my assignment" Crush tod him.

Forrester looked at the new employee. I don't think would fall to hire someone suspcious, Forrester thought before looking at Nicoli and back at the employee.
"Ok usually they tell you that in the letter they sent you stating that you have been accepted in this or that division" Forrester explained. "So maybe you can check that and if you are in any of our divisions than we will let you know of the situation for the mean while why don't you go and check the whole department" Forrester added as he looked at Crash.

Nicoli added a reassuring smile at the man. He could of course just ask the Department Head...but they wouldn't want to send a criminal in there. Nicoli waited until the man left, before giving Forrester a wry look. He pulled out a sheet of parchment and scribbled a letter to their Department Head before tapping it with his wand. The letter folded itself into that of a paper aeroplane and flew out of the doorframe.
"So...do you want to contact Mrs.Reagan?"

"Yes I will surely will" Forrester said as he conjured a paper and a quill. He wrote down a couple of words before tapping it with his wand and watch it fly to Miss. Reagan.
"For the meanwhile what should we be doing?" Forreter said as he looked back at Nicoli.

Apparently, I have been assigned here" Crash told them. " Mr. Wordsmith is my boss" he told Forrestor and Nicholi. " Well, should I ask Mr. Wordsmith for my assignment? Crssh asked both of them.

Samantha looked around the Magical Law Enforcement Squad Room, was she coming to the right place? She hoped so, this Department was so big. "Hello," she called out. I've brought a visitor here with me. This is Miss Rachel Rider, she's a student at Hogwarts, the niece of one of my employees in the Department of Magical Education, and I'm giving her a brief tour of the Ministry. I wanted to bring her by so she can see how this Department works, as well." She smiled, knowing that Rachel was far from the usual kind of visitors to this Department.

Rachel walked in behind Samantha, a little nervous. All the big heroes worked here... she thought as she looked around while Samantha introduced her. She smiled shyly at everyone and then turned to Samantha, "Er, who's the one in charge here? This floor seems huge!" Her voice was filled with awe and a sense of respect was evident in it.

"Well, the Department Head is Mr. Syd Wordsmith," Samantha told Rachel with a smile. "He's a very busy man, but perhaps he might be around in a little bit."

Rachel nodded and looked for a Mr. Wordsmith. She tried looking for a tall broad man that looked important, but soon gave up on that because they all looked like that. Well, I guess I'll just have to wait until someone points me to him... "I can imagine he's busy... The Ministry seems to be a big place to protect," she said to Samantha, trying to make conversation as she kept her ears alerted for the name Syd Wordsmith. That's a cool name; Wordsmith...

"Well, though I'm sure Miss Egypt has everything under control..." he began, arranging the sheets on his desk as his hair fell over his eyes.
"It may be best if we step up the security in the Ministry in the meantime. This may include anti-apparation spells as well as human detection spells." He tapped his fingers on the desk. "It may be useful to know exactly how many people are on each floor..."

Nicoli blinked. "Yes. Mr.Syd Wordsmith is the Department Head of Level Two. He's pretty much everyone's boss. But it's the person below him we need to know about..." Nicoli paused thinking.
"When you say 'here' do you mean the Magical Law Enforment Squad?"

Nicoli's head snapped up in surprise. This he wasn't expecting. Though he'd already been interrupted by Mr. Maddux, he hadn't counted on another one so soon after the blunder during the conference.
"Hello there!" Nicoli said kindly.
His mind was rooted intensely in a possible way to fix everything. If Miss Reagan knew anything at all, and she hadn't been sacked, then maybe...just maybe.
"I'm Nicoli Vanhatck, Divison Head of the Magical Law Enforcement Squad." he said to Miss Rider before shooting a smile at Miss Samantha. "Long time no see!" he added to her.
"This," he continued motioning at Forrester, "is the Division Head of the Auror Division, Forrester Hufflepuff."

Rachel's head snapped around as someone turned to them. She smiled brightly as Mr. Vanhatck introduced himself as Division Head, and she got even more excited when he introduced the Head of the Aurors. "Hello," she said in a small voice, her eyes big as she looked at Mr. Hufflepuff. "Um, I was wondering if it was possible to ask you some questions," she continued, directing her question to both men. The guys are going to be so jealous when I tell them who I've met...

The corners of Nicoli's mouth turned up at the expression on the young girl's face. He glanced sideways at Forrester, the smile still plastered across his features. Of course, her excitement was mostly about meeting Forrester, but still. It was...cute. If he'd been in her place, he most surely would have had the exact same expression on his face.
"Shoot!" he said moving a few papers out of the way of his desk.

Forrester smiled back to the girl as Nicoli introduced him. "Oh a Hogwarts student, I remember Hogwarts like if it was just yesterday that I have done my NEWT." Forrester said as he got up to shake the girl's hand.
"Of course, ask what ever you have in mind" Forrester added.

She almost died as Forrester shook her hand, but managed to maintain a decent look and smiled as she asked her question. "How do you guys organize the protection of a place as huge as this? And the whole wizarding world as well?" she asked, a sense of awe evident in her voice. She beamed up at both men, feeling ecstatic. I wouldn't trade this tour for anything... she thought to herself brightly.

Samantha beamed. Rachel seemed to ask all the right questions, she was just as sharp as her uncle. She felt sure she would be a true credit to the Ministry some day, maybe she would even be the Minister one day. One never knew.

" Hi, Rachel and Miss Fox- hope it is Miss, I am new to this department, my name is Crash Maddux" Crash told them. "Yes, Nicolai, this is the department I have been aqssingend to for my assignment" Crash told him.

Forrester looked at the young girl before looking at Mrs. Rose and smiled. "You have a clever child here!" Forrester declared before he turned his attention back to the girl.
"Well it's not the easiest job, we try to maintain a steady stream of action, while some of us try to protect the internal parts of the ministry the other tries to maintain one on the outside. We try to get a hold on everything before it goes out of proportions, check everything as it can turn to a disaster, Nicoli and I try to do that to the maximum of course so stuff just passes underneath us... But in the end we are humans, so we are allowed to make mistakes but not as much as everyone else." Forrester explained. "I hope I have answered your question anything else?"
