Separated from the main offices on level one, by a large windowed wall, the conference room is brightly lit. The room is sparsely furnished, containing what could be considered a simple table and chairs. However, the long table is of a richly stained wood, with ornately carved legs. If you stare at the legs long enough, you see scenes from the most famous goblin wars of the 19th century. The chairs are plushy and covered in dark green leather, while the wheels seem to float inches off the floor and make no sound at all. The biggest of the chairs sits at the head of the table. In fact, it's significantly bigger, almost reaching throne-like proportions.

There is one broad window across the far wall of the conference room. The scene would be better suited for a ski lodge, as it overlooks a vista of impossibly craggy mountains hovering over a quaint alpine village. A herd of dairy cows mosey across the hillside just down the hill, each with a huge bell around its neck. The room is complete with a ornately carved fireplace, currently empty, as well as a coffee bar and snack station just inside the door.

Reagan arrived at the slightly cracked door the conference room with her briefcase in hand. She raised her fist to knock on the door and then began to get worried that interrupting the Minister's lunch was a very bad idea. She knew how much he enjoyed 'Clara-time' during his busy schedule and she hated to cut that short. The Minister would definitely not be pleased with her for that. On the other hand, there was a huge problem in the Department of Mysteries that if not handled speedily and appropriately, could be even more disastrous. The Minister might get angry with her if she didn't contact him right away. Then there was the fact that she needed to meet with Miss Belle to get more details about the wedding so that the liaisons would have everything they needed to complete their tasks without needing her assistance any longer. Maybe then she'd be able to get some of her own work done!

As Reagan rationalized what to do, she paced back and forth, back and forth, in front of the doorway, gesturing to herself with her hands and muttering her options over and over again. Each time she got the courage to knock, she chickened out again and resumed pacing.

"Someone is dancing just outside or eavesdropping on us." Clara pushed back from the table and flung the door open. "Hello? Who is there?"

"Well, it's just that I'm so excited to help you plan the details of the wedding and to, of course, make sure everything is absolutely perfect for your special day! Oh, and I also have a tinsy, small message for the Minister as well." Reagan tried to read Clara's face for any reaction and hoped that this didn't backfire. She really liked her job, afterall.

"Oh," Clara's eyes narrowed as she tried very hard to read between brown-nosing and sincerity of BrenBren's little secretary girl. She seemed interested enough. "Well, you should have said so earlier! It is such a strain on me having to plan out all the details all on my own, while still keeping everyone in our world up to date with news!" Clara touched her forehead as if her head were about to spin off and fall to the floor. "Go ahead and give him your message. I know that the Ministry doesn't stop just because we're having lunch."

Reagan nodded and entered the Conference Room quietly. She walked to the side of the table where the Minister was sitting and spoke quietly since the door was still open and she didn't want any passersby to hear, "Sir, I'm sorry to interrupt your lunch, but Elijah Wright, the Head of the Department of Mysteries, has come to discuss an urgent matter with you. There seems to have been an... accident of sorts, and while he didn't provide me with many details, I can only imagine that any accident there could be highly dangerous. I assumed this would be something important you'd like to deal with swiftly and secretly. He's currently waiting in my office if you'd like to find him and speak with him.

"And if you're worried about leaving Miss Belle, I would be more than happy to keep her company while discussing details about the wedding." Turning to Clara, Reagan added, "I know my company doesn't compare to that of the love of your life, but hopefully I'll be a suitable distraction in the meantime."

As the Minister exited the room, Reagan took a seat across from Ms. Belle, reached into her briefcase and pulled out several different color blank parchments, a self-inking peacock feather quill, and a sheet of parchment already scribbled upon containing notes about the wedding that she had received from Minister Cooper.

With her quill ready to take extensive notes, Reagan started, "Shall we get to work on the details? Have you and Minister Cooper decided on a place or date for the wedding yet?"

Clara took up her seat again and started picking at her food once more. "He is so wonderful, no? Never too busy to drop his work and run to the rescue. He was such a catch, all those years ago..." Clara sighed happily and then looked to whatshername. "Well - I had thought... I wanted an outside wedding at that park or whatever. But, now, I'm thinking I'd rather have it here. I wouldn't be putting anyone out too too much would I?" It clearly didn't matter if she was - she wanted her wedding moved to the Ministry and that was that.

Reagan nodded and replied, "He's a wonderful Minister who handles situations quite well." She didn't want her comment to sound too complimentary, so she tried to keep it as unemotional as possible without sounding insincere. She'd heard that Ms. Belle was a somewhat curious bordering on jealous woman and she didn't want to give her any ideas that she appreciated Minister Cooper as anything more than a boss and leader of the community. That would likely result in job loss, or at the very worst, having her name potentially smeared in the papers.

Getting to the wedding discussion, Reagan fought allowing her jaw to drop when Clara mentioned wanting to change the location of the ceremony. After all the work the liaisons had done, and all the work their departments were doing to prepare the site, EVERYTHING was going to have to be changed. She'd have to issue dozens of new memos and contact all the vendors. More work. Always more work. Despite the overwhelming sense of impending doom, Reagan controlled her emotions and replied as simply as possible, "It will be no trouble at all. I'll get the liaisons to immediately change the plans and contact their departments. If you want your wedding here, consider it done." Reagan made a note on her parchment and then asked, "So, will the wedding be held in the Atrium on Level Eight? The fountain would look lovely in the ceremony."

"Yes, yes. That was my idea. However, I think my BrenBren wants it to be under the stars. So - I'm going to need you to arrange that." Clara clearly didn't care how - she just wanted stars and moonlight. "OOoo! You know - I think - Yes! Yes. I think I've just decided. I want it at dusk and I want dusky colors! Light purples."

Reagan jotted notes furiously as Clara described what she wanted. Minister Cooper wants stars and Clara wants dusk... Reagan had some ideas on how to make that work and please the two of them. Trying to please Ms. Belle, Reagan asked, "How do you feel if I have the items in the Ministry gift shop switched out for items that you and the Minister would like to start your lives together? Right now, there's a bunch of stamps, mugs, and other types of touristy souveneirs, nothing at all appropriate for the wedding of the decade! I would hope that most people will arrive with gifts already purchased, but for those who don't, I doubt you'd want them buying you both a Ministry of Magic breath mint tin! If I make it so the only items to choose from are items you and the Minister want, I think it will be a much better arrangement. Do you?"

Reagan smiled, gave Clara some time to think about her proposal, then continued, "A purple color pallete will be quite lovely. Shall I have the invitations made with a light purple, perhaps a small amount of silver, and then a purple just a slight shade darker than the light? Or did you have something else in mind?"

"Oh you are a greedy lil thing, aren't you?" Clara was grinning at the lovely idea of being able to get what she wanted from the gift shop. "I do like a girl that knows how to get what she wants," but woe be to her if she wanted her BrenBren. "You make that happen and I'm sure Bren will give you a raise." Clara's little nose wrinkled at the very thought of BrenBren.

"With stars," Clara reminded. "I want stars everywhere. And I want everyone to dress in black and purpe. If the guests are not dressed appropriately, we either change their clothes at the door or we do not let them in."

Speaking of which, "Has Brenny ran any names by you of people he wishes not to see on our happy day?"

Reagan fought back a smile at the thought of a raise, although she had to admit it probably wouldn't make a difference because she never had much time to spend it enjoying herself. She was always working. Always.

"Black and purple? I'll be sure that the invitations to the wedding specifically say that all attire must be black and purple at the request of the bride and groom." Reagan tried to think of color-changing charms that could be enployed if guests arrived in the wrong color attire and who she would put in charge of such a task. Jotting down several more notes, Reagan replied to Ms. Belle's question, "I believe he mentioned not wanting the Headmistress of Hogwarts or her husband Doyle Branxton at the wedding, but other than them, he has not mentioned others. Do you have others I should ensure are not given an invitation nor admittance to the ceremony if they show up univited?"

"No, no - I just want to be sure that you are top of the list of people uninvited. I do not wish for my Bren to be concerned for security on our day. He should be concerned with me, where we're going afterwards, and whether or not the photographer you picked out is any good - not his riffraffy sister and her loser of a husband." Clara smiled sweetly and tapped the words "Black and purple" on Taylor's notes. "You make it sound like a bruise. Use the word dusk. Or twilight. Be creative, darling. I know you can do it. But do not bruise my invitations."

Reagan continued writing, despite the cramping that her hand was suffering, until Clara tapped her notes and corrected her terminology. Utilizing every ounce of energy to refrain from making a comment about showing her what a real bruise would look like, Reagan kept her eyes down on the parchment and merely replied through a stiffened jaw, "Twilight. Got it. Now, where will you and the Minister be going on your honeymoon? We'll need to arrange a portkey to take you there after the wedding."

"Well don't be silly," Clara laughed at her. "That's his planning to do! Though - if he's taking to those mountains again you tell him that a beach would be better for a honeymoon." Clara's nose wrinkled and she got up, ready to go. "I'll be needing an update at the end of the day from you so I can put it in the paper. With the wedding next week, I'll need to be sure it's printed up sooner rather than later!" Clara explained in her sing-song voice. Before she left, she placed a list in front of BrenBren's secretary.

Reagan made a mental note to discuss honeymoon locations with the Minister. When on earth was her work going to end?! Well, it'll be over in a week. WAIT! Did she just say the wedding was next week? What?! Is she kidding? Get all this done in a week?!

Feeling a panic attack coming on, Reagan began deep breathing exercises. Just as she was about to ask Ms. Belle why the date had been moved up so soon, Clara placed a list in front of her and left the room. Glancing over the list, Reagan felt her face get flushed and her temperature rise. These people were insufferable! Expecting her to get all this work done in a week's time!

Despite wishing she could sit in the conference room forever and never have to face all the work before her, Reagan knew she needed to get started immediately if any of this work was going to get done on time. She jotted a new memo to be issued to each of the liaisons and went to place it in their box for pickup.

Cambell walked into the empty confrence room and set up her big book of layouts. She took a couple classical layouts from the book and put them out infront of her seat. She studied each carefully, making slight changes to them here and there.
Cambell took a deep breath thinking about all the stress and tension that the Ministry was experiencing at the moment. She felt horribly for Reagan. She was in charge of almost all the detials of the wedding. It must be hard for her...
Cambell looked at her bouquet and smiled. She leaned in and took a sniff. It smelled so sweet and refreshing.
No one had entered the room yet so she took out her wand and waved it at the Snapdragons. The spotted purple flower began snaping its jaw-like petals at her.
Cambell smiled and quickley took the charm off the flowers, waiting for the flourist to arrive.

She introduced them, "Cambell, this is Ms. Pua Williams, the florist for the Minister's wedding. Ms. Williams, this here is Cambell Robinson, Liaison to the Department of Education who has agreed to sit in on the meeting for a second opinion."

Reagan looked to the florist and explained, "The bride has chosen a pallette of black and dusky shades of purple for the wedding. The flowers should stick with that theme of purple as much as possible. So, with that said, where do we get started?"

Oh, and I can tell you right now, Ms. Belle won't like the following flowers," Reagan flipped through the book Cambell has put together and listed off flowers that would not be acceptable to Ms. Belle based on shape, form, color, or size, "wisteria, cone flowers, early purple orchids, Omphalodes Verna, Nymphaea 'Ronda Kay', Nigella, Nemesia, Lavandula Stoethas, Hydrangeas, Impatients, Echinacia, Daffodils, Buddleia, Blue Anemone, Aster, Allium, African Violet, Lilacs, Corni, and Crocus. SHe knew she'd just eliminated probably more than half of the purple flowers in the world, but just by looking at the pictures, Reagan could tell which ones wouldn't work for the wedding, even with alterations. She asked, "So, of the remaining purple flowers, which do you think might be a good choice with roses, and whatever other white flowers you think may work?"

Cambell stood from behind the bouquet and smiled as Reagan and the Florist stepped in the confrence room.
"Its nice to meet you!" Cambell said shaking her hand.
As they sat down she looked around at all of her more classical pages. None of them seemed to really match the sort of bouquet Mrs. Belle would like. She wondered what it would be like to meet her. She seemed difficult.
Cambell looked at the picture Reagan drew on her notepad and started flipping through pages of her layout book, trying to find some flowers that would apply...

Like a dear caught in the headlights, Pua froze when Reagan gave her the warning about baby's breath and heather. "Oooh.", she said in understanding now of the rule of classic originality that Ms. Belle and the Minister were applying to their wedding decor. "Gardenias it is, then." She said, giving a small smile, happy that she was not all wrong about the flowers she suggested. Pua paused as Reagan took out a parchment and borrowed a quill from Ms. Robinson and began to sketch out the ideal bouquet for Miss Belle. She leaning and inched a bit closer to get a better look at the sketch.
"Freesia and possibly tuberoses or creeping star jasmine. If she doesn't want to replicate the bouquet exactly, tearoses might be a nice alternative to the standard roses that these look like. Tearoses are fuller, almost double-blossomed and would balance out the bouquet and help marry the long cascading flowers with the squat Gardenias, which, if the happy couple would wish to have as the main focus of the bouquet, I think should be the largest variety we can manage. What do you think?"
