Separated from the main offices on level one, by a large windowed wall, the conference room is brightly lit. The room is sparsely furnished, containing what could be considered a simple table and chairs. However, the long table is of a richly stained wood, with ornately carved legs. If you stare at the legs long enough, you see scenes from the most famous goblin wars of the 19th century. The chairs are plushy and covered in dark green leather, while the wheels seem to float inches off the floor and make no sound at all. The biggest of the chairs sits at the head of the table. In fact, it's significantly bigger, almost reaching throne-like proportions.

There is one broad window across the far wall of the conference room. The scene would be better suited for a ski lodge, as it overlooks a vista of impossibly craggy mountains hovering over a quaint alpine village. A herd of dairy cows mosey across the hillside just down the hill, each with a huge bell around its neck. The room is complete with a ornately carved fireplace, currently empty, as well as a coffee bar and snack station just inside the door.

Melanie's eyes opened hugely in surprise. She wasn't supposed to be there? She could feel the blood rushing to her cheeks " Hm.." she said quietly before composing herself, her hand already on the door " I'm so sorry, I must have confused myself, it wasn't my intention to disturb this conference, my apologies " she said, quickly leaving the room. That had been really embarrassing, but that kind of stuff happened to her all the time, wrong classes, wrong reunions, on her way there she could have swear to see... never mind. She must have got confused as she saw some workers she knew entering, but now that she thought it properly, already on her way up to level three again, that didn't mean she should assist the reunion too.

"I will be sure and send an owl when it's the Division Heads' who are to be called into a meeting with the Minister," Samantha said as the woman left the room. "Don't worry, you won't miss it." Samantha guessed that she had come into the conference due to over-diligence, but that wasn't always a good thing.

Ben blinked in surprise when Reagan started addressing someone behind them. He turned and saw to his surprise that Melanie was in the room. Whaaaa? When had she shown up? And why was she even here?!

Poor Melanie. Ben felt bad as she left the office in a fluster, and his own cheeks began to flush as well. He cleared his throat. "I do apologize for that, Minister. She is my division head and I will be sure to talk to her and some sort of reprimand will be involved," he told her. Not a HUGE punishment, but he would have to do something nonetheless. Perhaps an essay? Hmmmmm. Oh my, this was embarrassing.

She had to have had good intentions, though. At least that showed that she was eager to do her job, right? She was just...a little TOO eager.

Just as Bella finished jotting down the last few sentences on some notes she'd been taking, she heard conversation which directed her attention towards the back of the room. Apparently one of Benjamin's division heads had gotten the wrong memo and shown up at the meeting. Bella flashed the woman an apologetic smile, then turned to look at Ben. He seemed very apologetic about the mistake, so Bella smiled at him, as well. Seeing that the commotion seemed to have ended, Bella redirected her attention back to Reagan, who was still discussing assignments. The Quidditch World Cup! Anna Greingoth...er, Newell...was going to flip!

Ready to finish up the meeting, Reagan carried on, "Games and Sports Department, I think your role is pretty self explanatory, but for the record... You'll need to approve the location found by Security and Accidents Departments. You'll also be in charge of ticket design and production, as well as uniform design and production.

"Maintenance Department - Practice cleaning charms and try to develop mass effect charms. Also, work with Transportation to develop an organizational system for tagging portkeys.

"Security - Work with Transportation to determine how the checkpoint searches will be conducted. You'll also need to find location for deserted moor with Accidents Department.

"And last, but not least, Mysteries... Well, I can't really go and reveal this information in a meeting this size, now can I? I'll send a private memo with the details."

"Any questions before we dismiss?"

"I think I got it," Syd said, sitting back in his chair, reading over his notes.

He doodled a little snitch as the bullet points he had jotted down all over the page. This may be more fun than he had originally anticipated. Though hopefully his new employees would think so...

"I believe I've gotten all the details. Thank you, Minister Taylor," Samantha looked up from her notes. She wanted to make sure that she had everything down, the quidditch world cup was a very big deal and she knew how important it was that everything go as planned. She also looked forward to working with the liaisons and the department heads on the coordination of this effort.

Just as the Minister began to address the Department of Mysteries, Bella finished the last of her note-taking and glanced up. "I believe I have everything I need, as well. I can't wait to break the news to the employees on my level and get started with the planning and implementation," she said. Bella smiled at Reagan when she was done answering the woman's question. The first meeting between the newly-elected minister and several of the employees had gone quite well! She slid her parchment and quill back into her briefcase, as she was done, for now, with her note-taking. If she needed to jot down anything else, she could always pull them back out.

Selena got up and left when the minister that, that was it and she headed back to the liaison desks. She thought that she got all the information that she needed maybe she will get a special job from the minister.

Assignments were up for his departments. So..Time to put wheels below his shoes. Brian leaned forward and nodded as a sign of self-agreement. "So..far no doubts Ms. Reagan. I cant wait to work with other departments." he said, a small smile running across his lips. He had to work out this, kinda big plan. He stretched back and drowned in random thoughts.

Sophia was only really half listening as details about assignments for individual departments came through. None of them concerned her so far, and since she was Head of Mysteries, hers would be the last to be brought up. Idly - and subconsciously - tracing the letters on the parchment, the brunette looked up once the Minister said Mysteries.

Ah of course; her details wouldn't be divulged at a meeting this size. It was at those words and the mention of size that it dawned on Sophia the presence of the liaisons at the meeting. Ah well at least she noticed before the meeting ended.

Nodding at Reagan in agreement - in case she was waiting for a response - she piped up softly, "Yes ma'am. A private memo would work well." And because she had no further questions, she simply shook her head and waited for the meeting to be called to an official end.

Claudian brushed a drying spell over the last of his notes and gathered them as he mentally prepared questions and ideas for the upcoming meeting with the other Liaisons. He couldn't wait to discuss the possibilities of contributions from Diagon Alley and who was going to do what at the event.

Selena had gotten up to leave but then she heard the Minister say that the liaisons needed to stay behind so she sat back down again and got parchment and a quill and ink ready for the next meeting.

Samantha stayed behind with the liaisons. She had an idea that the Minister would want to meet with them a bit more to help flesh out some of the details of their duties for the Quidditch World Cup.

Katy waited for their meeting to begin as the department heads left the room. She was so excited to being planning and helping out with the Quidditch World Cup!

This was going to be exciting and informative. Flipping through his stack of parchment, Claudian made sure that he had clean fresh sheets available for more note-taking. He waited patiently for Minister Taylor to begin their meeting, though inside his mine was racing with thoughts of what this could mean for Wizarding Britain's foreign relations, marketing, promotion, and possible budget constraints they might be working with.

Chad leaned back in his chair comfortably and waited for Reagan to start the second part of the meeting. Twirling his quill in between his fingers, he leaned his chair onto the two back legs and stared at the ceiling. He was tempted to steal a chair nearer to Reagan, mainly so that he could annoy her, but wasn't entirely in the mood today. Oh well.

Syd nodded to those who were allowed to leave and remained in his seat. He sat back and tapped his pen to his chin as people filed out into the hallway. They probably had to discuss restructuring issues or something... Maybe that werewolf incident... Maybe something about the world- He shut himself up inside his head and looked back to his notes.

Brian stood up and thanked the Minister and others before walked out of the conference room. He had a task in hands. Huge task. More staff meetings are in que. But before all of them, he had to meet his wife first. Four hours seemed a long time. Silly. As hands in his pockets as usual he walked down the corridor, heading back to his office.

Sarah just nodded her head as she remained in her seat, twiddling with the quill in her hand. She glanced up as the Department Heads slowly filed out of the Conference Room. She then flipped through her notepad to a blank piece of parchment in case there needed to be more notes taken for this next half of the meeting.

On that note, Bella shoved a few loose pieces of parchment back into her pink briefcase, snapped it shut, then gathered all her belongings. She was anxious to get back to her office and begin planning the meeting where she'd announce the Quidditch World Cup news and assign jobs to all of her employees. "Thank you, Minister Taylor. I look forward to helping make this exciting event a success," she remarked. She said the rest of her goodbyes, then gently pushed her chair back under the table. Seeing that a level one meeting was about to begin, Bella exited the room and headed back to her own level.

Reagan resumed the meeting once the appropriate Department Heads had cleared out. "First and foremost, I'd like to congratulate one of our liaisons, or should I say, former liaisons on being made Department Head of the Magical Creatures department - Mr. Chad Stryker!" Reagan gave him a short bit of applause before continuing, "And as Mr. Stryker's first order of duty as department Head, I'd like for him to head to my office for a brief and confidential meeting.

"Mr. Wordsmith and Mr. Ryder, I'd like you both there in my office as well to discuss what I alluded to before." Yes, she was being vague, but what choice did she have? She couldn't go blabbing this information all over the place!

"Ms. Rose, please begin our meeting with the liaisons and discuss the raffle. I shall return."

Jake, who had been too busy with writing down EVERYTHING the Minister was saying, nodded in understanding, his quill never leaving the parchment. It was his first ever Meeting and he wasn't about to go and forget it all, now was he?

Plus, he detested Quick Quotes quills. He found them annoying, slightly irritating and hugely judgmental since they usually picked up on what he was thinking and not what he actually wanted on paper.

Done for now, Jake hastily packed up his things and got up. Right... Minister's Office. Again. He wasn't complaining exactly, but he felt that he was in that office way too much lately.

Philip had been scribbling on his parchment, as his neighbour appeared to be doing also. He was rather nervous, and as a result his writing was almost all over the place, but he wasn't that surprised since this was his first ever meeting. He wondered if the guy next to him was also sitting in his first meeting.
