Separated from the main offices on level one, by a large windowed wall, the conference room is brightly lit. The room is sparsely furnished, containing what could be considered a simple table and chairs. However, the long table is of a richly stained wood, with ornately carved legs. If you stare at the legs long enough, you see scenes from the most famous goblin wars of the 19th century. The chairs are plushy and covered in dark green leather, while the wheels seem to float inches off the floor and make no sound at all. The biggest of the chairs sits at the head of the table. In fact, it's significantly bigger, almost reaching throne-like proportions.

There is one broad window across the far wall of the conference room. The scene would be better suited for a ski lodge, as it overlooks a vista of impossibly craggy mountains hovering over a quaint alpine village. A herd of dairy cows mosey across the hillside just down the hill, each with a huge bell around its neck. The room is complete with a ornately carved fireplace, currently empty, as well as a coffee bar and snack station just inside the door.

Reagan smiled and stood from her chair, "I hope that answers some of your questions and helps you to figure out how you'd like to handle the matter. If you'd like to submit a letter to Minister Cooper, I'll be sure he gets all his mail upon his return from his trip. Your other option would be to visit with the Department of Education and perhaps they can help you in some other way.

"I really must get back to work now, but it was a pleasure meeting with you." Reagan extended her hand to shake each of theirs and then continued, "If you wish to visit with Education, they're on the same floor. If not, the lifts are just around the corner from this door. Take a right and you can't miss 'em."

Reagan guided the pair outside the conference room door and replied, "Thank you again for bringing your concerns to my attention. I'll be sure to look into the matters we've discussed."

Reagan slipped through the doorway of the conference room, glancing around at the all-too-familiar surroundings. Did she ever NOT have a meeting in here? Alas, all the important meetings happen in the conference room. Reagan took a seat and gestured for Bella to take a seat beside her. She wanted them to be sitting across from the liaisons so that they could make the appropriate eye contact with them as she relayed their tasks to the liaisons.

Bella stepped into the conference room after Reagan and followed her to the seat beside her. She was really greatful that this new Minister's Conference was comming up. A distraction just when you needed it. Although she had been planning on visiting her sister soon, looks like that would now be cancelled.

Sighing, the girl sat down and waited for the liaisons to turn up.

Chad strolled into the Conference Room, munching on a few peanuts. He decided to only take a few and leave the rest back at his desk. Peanuts in one hand and paper in the other, he took a seat the table. "Hello Mademoiselles," he said softly, shooting them a little smile before looking down to place the paper on the table and dig out his quill. Now, it was just a matter of waiting; he had pulled his quill out and was twirling it in his fingers.

Edie walked in to the Conference Room for her first ever staff meeting. Apart from being extremely nervous, she was actually quite excited. She smiled at the others in the room. "Hi." she said happily, taking her seat at the table. She got out her parchment and her quill and ink from her bag and sat quietly, waiting for the meeting to begin.

Cambell walked in the confrenece room giving Reagan a small smile. "Hello!" She said taking a seat next to a Liaison she didnt know.
"So, whats this immediate meeting for?" She asked, though she had already guessed. All this stuff happening at the school was crazy! Cambell didnt agree with any of it, but she wouldnt say anything; especially anything that might make her loose her job!

Reagan looked at her watch and wondered where all the liaisons were. They had a lot to do and not a whole lot of time to do it. She planned on starting shortly whether all the liaisons had arrived or not. They could get notes from one of the other liaisons or Bella later if necessary.

Reagan turned to Bella and whispered, "You may want to take some notes for the liaisons who don't arrive on time for the meeting. I'm going to send them to you if they want to know their tasks."

Looking up to Cambell as she entered the room, Reagan answered her question, "We're discussing the International Wizarding Conference that our Ministry will be hosting in just a few months time."

Brian seemed just entered the conference room in time. Great!! He just got back from the Games Department. Looked around for a minute to find the seat, he chose one. He raised his hands and said, "Sorry..if I'm late. But I guess I got in time.." his smile never leave from his face eventhough he was tired.

She was late, and she hated being late.. even if it happed a couple of times.
Angelina walked in the conference room just in time to hear Reagan's words.
She gave her boss an apologetic smile and quickly took a seat next to a someone she didn't know.
If it wasn't that little chat on Level Five she wouldn't be late.

Reagan figured enough of the liaisons had arrived and decided to start the meeting. She addressed the group, "Thank you all for meeting with me on such short notice. As I'm sure you've all read the memo, you all know that our Ministry is hosting the next International Wizarding Conference. This conference is a big deal. A VERY BIG DEAL. Our Ministry needs to be the most impressive Ministry these foreign Ministers have ever seen, as do our employees. As such, there needs to be LOTS of work in preparation. Which is why I have gathered you all here today. I am going to give you a list of tasks for yourselves and for you to relay to your departments."

Reagan looked around the room and spotted one of the newer faces of the liaison team, jogging her memory to do the appropriate introductions first. "Before I begin, there have been some changes to the staff. We have a new liaison to the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes, Ms. Edith Griffiths. Ms. Griffiths, why don't you stand up and tell us a bit about yourself?"

While Reagan was talking, Angelina took some notes.
International Wizarding Conference, that did sound like a big deal, and she couldn't wait to receive her task.
Oh well she liked that work.
A lot.

She moved her eyes from Reagan to the new Liaison. That was good.. to have new liaisons around.. it made her feel like she wasn't the one who didn't know anyone anymore.
Angelina smiled at the new liaison as she waited for her to introduce herself.

Cambell shifted in her seat with an smile smile on her face as Reagan spoke. Finally! Some work. She needed something to do. Though, the tasks she may recieve could possibly be very difficult, but she could handle them.
Cambell turned towards the new liaison with a bright smile, waiting for her to talk a little about herself.

Brian leaned back on the chair comfortably, listening Regan's speech. He had taken steps for the that meeting already with his respective department. No matter how hard it would be...he wanted to finish the job perfectly at least this time.

The he looked around and smiled at the new recruitment. Edith!! New faces are always good.

Placing her little notepad on the table, Bella pulled out her quill and wrote down the names of all the Liaisons who weren't there, leaving some space between each of their names so she could write their task down for them, in case they didn't turn up for the meeting.

Leaning back in her chair, she fixed her eyes on Edith as she told them more about herself. She did sound wealthy ... weird. How so many people working in the Ministry were from rih families. As for Bella, she was just from an average middle class family whose parents earned an above average income in their jobs.

Listening to the girl talk, Bella smiled at her. St. Mungos? She hoped her mother got better soon, if that was the reason she was there. She could be a Healer ... although it didn't sound like it.

She leaned forward once more, resting her arms on the table. She waited for Reagan to continue talking. She would have welcomed Edith, but it would have been kind of rude if she said that before reagan, right? Since she was the boss.

Her mother was in St. Mungos?
Angelina hoped she was there because she was a healer and not because she was sick.
But she wasn't sure.

The young woman leaned back on the comfortable chair and smiled at the new Liaison, then moved her eyes to Reagan and waited for her to continue talking.
After all, that meting couldn't be all about a new Liaison, and she wanted to know what was her task.

The chairs were comfortable, no doubt they were, but she was so used to be always walking from level to level that being sit started to be something uncomfortable.

Upon arriving at the Minister's office floor, Alec Dumond opened the door to the office foyer. Carrying a red leather bound folder, he proceeded to walk towards the conference room door and knocked on the door.

Reagan fought hard to keep her eyebrows level. Years of practice had made keeping her emotions secret rather easier for her than for others, though if asked, she would have had to admit she was a bit surprised. She'd expected the new liaison to describe her areas of success during her education and what she had done since graduating from Hogwarts, and was surprised to hear the woman so openly admit the status and whereabouts of her parents. Next time, Reagan would have to be a bit more specific.

Alec sat down in a chair at the bottom end of the Conference Table.

Alison was DEFINATELY showing now. 6 months was NOT making her any faster and she was walking as fast as she could in her flats, dressed very professionally for a woman who should have been in bed. She hurried in. "Quite sorry I'm late, Miss Reagan. There was traffic hold up in mid town." she said, taking a seat next to Brian and smiling briefly before digging out a eagle feather quill and a parchment notebook, ready to take notes.

Alec opened his red leather bound folder and protracted a ready ink quill and a piece of parchment, ready to take notes. He moved the rest of his files and papers obtained at the security desk and placed them in front of him on the table. He listened to the bustle of conversation, not daring to interrupt and make a fool of himself. Not on his first day at work.

Reagan strained to remember the young man's name and finally recalled what she had seen on his application. She explained to the group, "Everyone, this is Alec Dumond. He will be serving as the new liaison-in-training and will also be assisting both myself and Bella in a variety of other tasks as needed. I would like each of you to help him get acquainted to what being a liaison is all about. Explain your roles and show him around the office and the Ministry."

Reagan paused as a rather pregnant Alison entered the room. A couple months ago Reagan had thought Alison merely had gained a few pounds - perhaps spent too much time and money down at Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor, but now it was very clear that her weight was not from ice cream. It was a good thing they had a new liaison-in-training to help out because she assumed Alison would be taking a maternity leave and they'd need the extra hands while she was away.

After Alison had taken a seat, Reagan looked back to Alec and requested, "Mr. Dumond, why don't you stand up and introduce yourself. Tell everyone where you're from and what brought you here to work at the Ministry."

Alec took a deep breath, rose from his chair and began to speak.

"Good Morning Everyone,
My name is Alec Dumond, I'm 24 years old. For the last seven years I have worked in a wizarding insurance firm. I was sorted into Ravenclaw at Hogwarts, which I attended till I was 17. The main reason for me joining the Ministry is because I wanted to get involved with the day to day running of the wizarding government.

Thank You."

Alec decided to end his short speech there and sat back down in his chair
