"Classic, but with an individual twist, yet none of the flowers you listed. H'mm..." This was going to require some serious and careful consideration. "Perhaps, in addition to the purple roses, Irises would be the thing, both the European and the Asian varieties. For the white flowers, narcissus create a very clean shape, they aren't very frilly looking and are generally small, though I've had some luck with cut ones responding to a simple 'engorgio' charm." Pua reached into her portfolio and pulled out images of the flowers in question to give Ms. Taylor an idea of what they looked like done up in an arrangement.
"For the bouquet, I was thinking maybe using the dusky purple as an accent amongst a mostly white bouquet. Using heather with babies breath and gardenias. Do you think she would approve?" Reagan glanced over the page on Irises to get an idea of what they might look like in a bouquet. She nodded in agreement, "Oh I do think the Lousiana Iris or the Siberian Iris would work too. Narcissus may work, but it would have to be the variety with no yellow visible in the center. That would throw off the whole color scheme."
Reagan continued looking over the page until the florist said something about babies breath and heather. Her head snapped up and she exclaimed quickly, "No! Babies breath are must too generic for Ms. Belle. EVERYONE has babies breath and that's not going to work for her. I know it sounds strange because they like traditional things, but they despise the overused generic types of things. No babies breath. And as for heather, I don't think the bride would like that in her bouquet. Gardenias, on the other hand, are absolutely beautiful and would work perfectly."
Reagan had been trying to picture the type of bouquet Ms. Belle would look perfect holding and decided to try to sketch it out. She borrowed a quill and paper from Cambell and began sketching. She talked while she drew, "I'm not much of an artist, but I'll show you how I envisioned her bouquet, and then maybe you can tell me what flowers we can use to recreate the image." As she finished sketching, she pushed the paper toward the florist and said, "Something like this."
