The Ministry of Magic Department Heads want to welcome you to Wizarding World Roulette! The adult character complement of Hogwarts Roulette!
Just like it’s inspiration, the hope of this idea is to:
a) Interact with characters and RPers you might not have interacted with before
b) Inspire you to play those characters you might not have other opportunity to play
c) be reminded that the RP is about FUN All good things must come with guidelines. Please bear in mind those below. - As always, all Snitchseeker Site Rules must be adhered to.
- This is open to all adult characters (17+ and graduated) whether or not they are a postbit character.
- Please only sign up with one character per round.
- If you're assigned an RP, please don't leave your partner hanging. We expect to see reasonable effort from both sides for the RP to continue.
- But if something DOES come up irl, this does not mean you HAVE to prioritize this RP - just communicate with your partner! We’re an understanding and supportive community.
- Post back here when you have started your RP, so we can link them up for stalking purposes.
- If you wanna talk about what’s going on in the RPs, use the Wizarding World Chat, this thread is just for signing up for the Roulette or any questions you may have!
- if you absolutely HATE your given scenario, you can tweak it somewhat (and interpret your character's motivations in a way that suits you), but please remember the idea of this is to try something new so we ask that you be open minded.
- RPs can be any length, and you don't have a time limit in which to complete them - however you will not be assigned a new one next round if there was no reasonable effort to interact with your last partner, or reasons of why you could not were not communicated. This is simply because it would not be fair to your prior partner.
- if the other person hasn't started your roulette in a reasonable amount of time, contact them first. If it still doesn't happen, please reach out to Waddles, Chelliephone and Nordic Witch, and we'll make arrangements to re-pair you.
Quote: Please note: Majority of these RPs are encouraged to take place in Diagon Alley or the greater Wizarding World/United Kingdom, which are public spaces where another character conceivably can come along. Please be open to the idea of other people also participating, especially if the scenario you receive is a noticeable event that would make sense for others to react to. Please also feel free to invite others to join your RP - Wizarding World Chat is great for this purpose!
We will be having up to 10 pairs per round, but if we don't have a full round as of TBD, we'll go ahead and kick off the round with everyone that has signed up thus far. This might mean you'll get a group of 3 if we have had an odd number of sign ups.
To sign up, the only requirement is to post in this thread with your character's name, age and occupation. You’re also welcome to link your character biography in your post, just for the viewing purpose of whomever you are later matched with. If you are using a non-post bit character, the SSRPG Character Biography thread is a great place to store bios for linking elsewhere on site. Once it is time to start, Department Heads will use a random generator to match characters and provide a likewise randomly generated scenario for your characters to play out. The list once available will be edited into this post so make sure to check back. Again, once you have also started your RP, remember to come back and link us so we can add to the master list of RPs in the post below!
