Maria let out a breath she had been semi-holding in. "Can I see?" she asked.

Janice went to the Student garden to find some plants for the Potions Storage. Somewhere inside, she found a Belladonna, like what Professor Bentley said. She pulled the plant out, and put it in her bag. After eyeing the garden for a couple of minutes, she spotted a beetle, and levitated it to the place where the daisy roots and the Caterpillar has been.

Mikey smiled and showed Maria the portrait. "What do you think?" he asked.

Maria's eyes lit up. "It's beautiful, Mikey. Thank you" she said in awe.

Mikey smiled sweetly. "You're welcome" he replied. He had to draw a copy of it. One for Maria and the other for his portfolio.

Maria smiled and hugged Mikey tightly.

In his squated position, Riley began to edge closer to the center of the little Flutterby Bush out-cropping to allow for a better angle on the empty jars. He was concentrating on moving one particular jar closer to two bushes when Mina spoke about the watering can he had mentioned. He looked up and stared at her for a second, had she thought he was serious, asking if she carried a watering can with her?

Well at least she didn't, that was reassuring. "Ok so you can help me then!" the Gryffindor said, gesturing to the jars, glad for some sort of distraction from the awkward moment. "Alright there are six jars here, you take those three over there, and I will do the three over here, ok?" Riley pointed his wand at the first jar and a shot of light left the tip and landed in the glass. Two more unspoken spells and the three jars on his side where all glowing and emitting warmth to the two students and the plants.

Mina blinked as she caught that look Riley had given her. Seriously, it was in the nature of a 'claw to have things at the ready and it was like a running joke for most of them to have the strangest things ready on their person. They were all expected to be thinkers and all, thinking outside the box and whatever. It wouldn't have been all that surprising if she did have one on her, but her attempt at a joke was a bit of a fail, this time.

"Of course," she nodded as she gathered the three jars and went to work on them. Moving them all over to her side, she set them down around the nearest Flutterby bush and stood back. Aiming her wand at the first, she silently cast the needed spell and watched the first shot of light left her wand and find it's way to the first jar. Following suit with the other two, she stood back ant looked at her three jar, all glowing brightly and emitting warmth.

Rather content with her work, she knelt back down beside the bush she was nearest to. It was only a matter of them before the warm would do its job.

Aiden came to the student garden to finish Herbology homework as soon as possible so she could continue with Potions later. She is well prepared to do the planting. For now, Aiden decided to plant the Mimbulus Mimbletonia.

Aiden draws out her wand from her robes before pointing it at an empty space for plants. "Diffindo!" she recites the incantation causing a small area of the soil to cave in. Next, Aiden starts to loosen the soil at the edge of the pot. She removes the Mimbulus Mimbletonia carefully from it's pot as the plant starts to croon. After that, Aiden puts it into the hole she dug earlier and pats some soil on its base.

The Mimbulus Mimbletonia croons happily when Aiden showers it with water. Finally, she sprinkles some dragon dung fertiliser so that the plant will get enough nutrients.

Penny walked into the Student garden, intent on finding a nice place for her plant for herbology homework.....

Penny had decided to plant Knotgrass seeds, because firstly it was a very magical plant and also it had healing properties (having once read that just touching the leaf of knotgrass could heal up a cut and bring the skin back with in two or three hours.... and the leaves help cure sicknessess and illnessess.)

Walking around the many plants and flowers, she spotted a place that would house the plant...noting that she had to plant the knotgrass seeds in full sun and moist, well-drained soils. And reading her textbook, growth will begin in early March and will last until winter's first frost.

Removing her gloves form her bag and putting them on... she took a small shovel from her bag and began to dig a drill a half inch deep and a foot long...clearing the planting area of a few weeds...

Taking the seeds she scattered them into the drill... and covered them up again with the soil... Patting the soil down firmly, she scattered some dragon dung on top of the bed of seeds... marking it with a tag..

Gwen decided to take a break from studying and go in the student garden. As she walked in, she remembered she had to do her homework in herbology. She turned around and left.

After a while, she came back, holding a book in her hand. The girl started studying it. Gwen came across a plant called Asphodel. Wow, it looks really unique and fascinating! Reading more about it, the girl realized it was extremely important too.It can be used in brewing potions and you can use the plant for medicinal reasons, an aspect that really appealed to Gwen. Without even willing to look at other plants, she decided to plant this one.

Now...let's see what I can do...the plant needs plenty of sunlight and must be placed in special pots so any extra water will be drained out. Every 4 to 6 weeks, the plant should be moved from its one pot to another, if you keep it in a pot. However, it is better to allow the plant to grow outside and without boundaries, the young ravvie read from a book. So, I won't plant it in a pot,that would cost me too much time.

Finding a spot for her plant, she checked out the book again. It is recommended you use mooncalf dung because it helps not drown the asphodel, she informed herself.

The girl made a hole in the soil, placed the seeds into it, also putting in some mooncalf dung, and then covered everything up with the soil.

She took her book again and read more about it: Asphodel can also be used for snake bites and other venomous creature bites. With a brush against the area, the flowers toxins work against the venom causing the venom to become no more. Hmm, interesting, the girl thought, feeling proud of the choice she made. She nodded and continued reading: This plant is traditionally associated with the afterlife and the underworld.The asphodel was the flower said to fill the plains of Hades, the Greek underworld. As it was considered the favorite food of the dead, the Ancient Greeks would often plant it near graves. The asphodel was sacred to Persephone, the daughter of Demeter, who was forcefully taken to the underworld by Hades. Again, she nodded as a sign of approval.

Penny had been in the greenhouse, but after 15 minutes, she had found the heat unbearable...

Going to go back into the student garden again, for fresh air... She figured she might as well plant the second plant for her Herbology homework...

Penny had decided to try and grow some Wormwood... Reading her textbook, she read that Wormwood, like Knotgrass, could help to cure sicknesses and other illnesses. The plant was also used in the Draught of the Living Dead and was one of the key ingredients in the potion...Wormwood is a well known plant in the muggle world, as well. Muggles use it in many medications.

Making sure that she had a good bit of space with some shade, before planting, because apparently Wormwood had this chemical called 'Absinthin', can be toxic to other plants. So for this reason, she had to grow it several feet away from other plants in the garden.

Scattering the seeds on the ground.... reading the book again, it said to lightly walk over the area to press them into the ground.....

So that's what she did, having scattered the seeds, she lightly walked over them.... then standing back to admire her work, noticed the ground dry....

Getting the trusty watering can from the supplies closet, she gave the soil a good watering making sure not to over-water (she didn't want to drown the newly planted seeds)..

Looking at her Wormwood and turning around to look at the Knotgrass, Penny thought that Healer Lilyan Moretti, would at least be happy with her work, having planted two items that could be used for curing sickness & illness...

As soon as Kurumi has told the little Hufflepuff that her flowers would grow faster than normal flowers would she squealed a little and bounced a little and clapped her hands. She smiled brightly,"Spring is my favorite season!"

Violet then had relaxed a little when Kurumi was talking to her about Quidditch. She smiled a little and then said lightly,"Well then, if Sely has been training you then I'm sure you'll be a pro-flyer in no time.." Then she said,"And I have confidence in you too Kurumi, like I'm sure you're entire team is!" Violet smiled and then said,"I'm sure that fear of flying for you will go away and you'll love nothing more than to fly Kurumi, don't worry..." Violet smiled sweetly at the older Gryffindor.

Mikey smiled and hugged Maria back.

Cue awkward silence.

"So..." Maria said, rubbing the back of her neck.

Thea had been digging a hole for her plant for some time, but finally she had finished. Popping the Tingling Tambourines into the hole, they jingled merrily. They were only little, but hopefully wit hThea's care, they would grow!

To start them off, Thea patted the soil around them so the roots would be snug. Taking out her wand, she first cast a little spell to repel burrowing beetles. She had found this useful spell in the library. Sprinkling a little water around it, Thea patted the soil to make sure it was moist enough. Finally, Thea gave her Tambourines some dung. At this, the again jingled happily. They made Thea grin like a loon.

Mikey looked at Maria and smiled slightly. "You know you really are beautiful" he told her sweetly still looking up at the beautiful snake.

Maria looked up in shock. "Y-you really think so?" she asked. No, she didn't bully herself, but come on! Her father had dark red hair and her mother's hair was white blonde! And neither of them have green eyes. Compared to her mother, she wasn't beautiful in the slightest.

Mikey nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, of course I do. You're the most beautiful person I know" he replied truthfully, smiling.

Maria smiled. "You're the first person to ever say that to me. And I'm not kidding" she said softly.

Mikey smiled cutely. "And I'll be the second, the third, the fourth and the fifth. Scratch that, you'll here it a lot while your dating me" he replied sweetly.

Maria's deep green eyes widened a bit. "Thank you" she said softly.

Mikey smiled. "You're welcome"

Maria took hold of Mikey's hand and leaned against him a bit. "You make me feel like I belong here" she informed him, smiling. She kissed his cheek sweetly.

Mikey looked down at their hands and smiled. "That's because you do belong here" he replied, looking up at Maria cutely.
