The following students DO have permission to help mod this thread when it is open: Kirstie McGonagall, Elijah Young, Jennifer_W, Mrs.Weasley, and Hermione_loves_Ron. Listen to them as they have authority from ME.

"Well, I'm not sure strength or stubborness is the reason," Spots responded to Professor Lainey. "You are correct, though, I will miss you if everything goes as planned," he said also looking towards the forest.

Spots turned towards the two Professors, "well since I'm already dead, more or less, I think I'll go take a look out there just to see what's going on.....I'll be back shortly with a report." And Spots drifted high in the sky and headed out across the grounds towards the Forest.

:: Elijah looked over his shoulder again, and could see Sir Spots, the Gryffindor House Ghost floating twoards the Froest. He blinked, hoping that everthing would go alright, and according to their plan. He rolled his shoulders and cracked his neck then continued his stance ::

Rae watched Professor Puppington take to the skies, and she worried momentarily about him. He was a ghost, though, and nothing would happen to a ghost. Nothing could. It bothered her even still that he believed her callous towards the plight of a ghost, and she wondered why she cared at all. She turned and stared at the castle, wondering again where the Headmaster was.

Terry scans the forest and notices Professor Puddington heading in that direction. She doesn't understand what's going on, but hopes he'll be alright. He may be a ghost, but she's afraid Voldemortist can probably still hurt him.

*Kirstie looked around at her fellow 'guards' and was thankful she was not alone. As time went on Kirstie became slowly more anxious, and kept checking that the professors were still there*

Spots floats out over the forest passing Mr. Shrine's vacant hut. He doesn't notice anything out of the ordinary at first but something seems amiss. He moves down to get a closer look knowing that all of the eyes back on the Castle lawn were on him. As he nears, he begins to notice an eerie silence in one particular area deep in the forest. Not seeing any sign of movement or life, he decides to poke in a bit closer. As he did, he realizes that the fact that he doesn't see any sign of life at all in this part of what should be a noisey active forsest full of birds and small animals, is significant. "This is it," he tells himself. He had heard tale that wherever the Dark Lord resides, no other living creature remains that isn't serving him.

Spots decides that even though, as a ghost, his "life" wasn't in danger, he had better report back what he's found out. Quickly he rises out of the trees and heads back to the castle to find the Headmaster.

In the forest...

As he looked up from his seat on a throne of moss, the Dark Lord Voldemortist saw one of Headmaster Hendrik's ghostly minions floating above the forest. He quickly concealed himself before he could be found by the nosey specter who flew lower and lower as he examined the uncharacteristically quiet forest.

As soon as the ghost left, he tore down his cloaking spells and a smiled, an evil smile. "They are begining to panic but, my sources tell me the potion will still be brewed..." he quietly chuckled to himself.

All Jenn could do was stand in front of the castle and wait. If nothing else Jenn hated, she hated to wait. She was rather impatient, her mother always bothered her because of the amount of impatience Jenn had. Sighing she looked around, Sir Puppington was heading back out of the forest, his ghostly face looked like he had found nothing. Jenn turned to her cousin and Kirstie. "This is boring." Jenn exclaimed as she peeked into her pocket to check on Bob and Frank.

"I'm bored too," Terry said to her cousin, "but I'd rather be bored than facing Voldemortist face to face." She watches Jenn looking in her pocket. "How are Bob and Frank doing? Do I need to go and get some leaves for them?" Terry says with a smile on her face. She too watches Sir Spot head back from the forest. The terrible thing about ghosts is it's so hard to read the expressions on their faces. Terry plays with her wand and watches him head towards the professors. She hopes he hasn't spotted Voldemortist hiding in the Dark Forest

Jenn smiled at her cousin, "No no. Their doing fine thanks." Jenn told her as she closed her pocket again and twirled her wand about. "Moms gonna have a fit when she sees the leeches tho." Jenn quietly laughed and looked back at the forest. It was so quiet, how long were they to stay guarding this door?! Jenn was beginning to get more anxious then impatient. She didn't like being so close to the forest, but she had a job and she was here to guard. Looking back at the door she was rather glad no one else tried to go outside for some 'air'.

:: Elijah shook himself out of the trance he was in. He looked around him seeing that the rest of the guard was doing just fine. He looked over his shoulder to see what was going on with the professors. Not much had changed over the past couple hours. He had wondered when Headmaster Hendrik was going to arrive. He shifted his weight on his feet then turned back the other way ::

*medina walks out of the castle door and starts to stroll along the grass*
*she looks up at the sky and daydreams about alex and how much she loves him*
*she walks some more and then sits on the grass and takes out a book*
noticing ellija "hi you look like you have been out of it for a while. here, take this. medina hands him the glass*
its just pumpkin juice- it will wake you up.*
medina gets up and walks back in to the castle*

:: She then handed him a glass of pumpkin juice. He took it, not so eagerly and continued to watch her, making sure she went back inside the castle. He shook his head and mumbled something about irresponisible. He took out his wand and with a wave the glass of pumpkin juice vanished, and he went back to keeping watch ::

Eerie silence engulfed the grounds. It was unnerving, and all Professor Lainey and Rae had to do was wait...and wait. Sir Puppington had been gone for quite sometime, and had not returned with the Headmaster. She knew it was almost time for the ceremony in the Spirit Room to take place, and she had made up her mind. "Rae...you know what time it is...and we need re-enforcements out here. So...I'm going to go get someone...and perhaps make a detour by the Spirit Room." Anjelica flew up beside her long time friend and they looked at each for a long while. "Why don't you go up and wait with the students at the door, and not down here alone...? I'd feel better leaving you if you would...But, I really need to go.." She started off towards the castle, but stopped briefly to turn and see Rae once more. If all went as planned, the next time she saw her...she'd be alive...she'd be able to hug her friend, she'd be able to really help her. "Take care, Rae..." And Professor Lainey was off to the Spirit Room...

Terry saw Birdy standing at the doors to the entrance hall. "You'd best go back to your common room where it's safe. Professor Hendrik has ordered all students to stay there until further notice." She watched as the Gryffindor headed back inside the castle. Terry then noticed Professor Lainey leave Professor Rae and fly back to the castle. She continued up until she reached the third floor and flew into a window. From the looks of things, she must have gone right through Professor Hendrik who was standing with his back to the window. "They must be getting ready to finish brewing the Draught," she said to her cousin Jenn, "I hope everything goes as planned. I hate for anything to happen to Professors Airlia, Lainey, or Riddle. They're more than just my teachers. They're my friends as well." She continues to look up at the window to see if she can see anything.

Jenn walked up to Kashi as she came through the front doors and frowned. "Kashi, you can't be out here. You need to go, Rae gave us full power to hex anyone that came through those doors. I don't want to hex you Kash." Jenn said in a low voice as she stared back at the others standing guard.

Rae watched her friend fly off with mixed feelings. If only it were as simple as it seemed on the surface... or maybe she was making it harder than it had to be. Glancing over her shoulder at the blanket-covered bodies, Rae decided that Lainey probably had the best advice. Stay at the castle until more help came. What use would Voldemortist have with the bodies of students? She set off for the castle to pull her reinforcements inside.

"I'm sorry..." Jenn managed to say before she was hugged and Kashi walked back inside. Walking back to the others Jenn stared into the forest, why couldn't he just leave them alone. Sighing she went back to stand guard with her cousin and the others. Would this night ever end?!

*Kirstie watched as various students came outside and were sent promptly back inside by her fellow guards. She looked at Kashi as she went back inside, and wanted to talk to her, but knew it was probably best if she went back inside the castle where it was safe as quickly as possible. Kirstie shivered slightly and moved closer to Jenn and Terry*

Terry noticed Kristie moving closer to Jenn and her. She hoped the Slytherin would help knock some of the wind off of them. "If I'd of known we were going to be outside so long, I would have gone to my common room and gotten a heavier cloak. It looks like Professor Rae is heading back to the castle. Maybe she will tell what's going on." Terry rubbed her hands together hoping to get some feeling back in them. She envied Bob and Frank. They were snug in Jenn's pocket. Terry was glad the Professor was leaving Professor Shine's hut. She had promised Professor Lainey Jenn and she would look out for her. Terry knew Professor Rae would never allow them to venture so close to the Dark Forest.

It was time... Lord Voldemortist moved from his hiding place, deep within the Forbidden Forest, and began to make his way towards the castle. When he arrived, the gamekeeper's hut hiding him from view, he observed the single professor pacing out the doors which were guarded by what looked like mere students. This would be easier than he thought, especially with his servant working from inside.

He walked out from behind the hut, withdrawing his wand from within the folds of his robes, and walked straight up towards the professor. "Good evening, Professor," Lord Voldemortist hissed.
