The Castle Lawn ooc: Please remember no one is to be out on the grounds without a teacher's express permission and a staff member WITH them. You will be dealt with accordingly if you break this rule. The following students DO have permission to help mod this thread when it is open: Kirstie McGonagall, Elijah Young, Jennifer_W, Mrs.Weasley, and Hermione_loves_Ron. Listen to them as they have authority from ME. |
Professor Rae leaned against the shack and took deep breaths. She waited for Lainey to follow her around the corner, wondering how she could get those poor students back to the castle quickly when she couldn't even be within a few feet of them without feeling great loss and disgust. |
:: Elijah watched as Professor Rae walked further out onto the castle lawn, heading towards the Gamekeepers Hut. He sighed heavily, readying himself and turned back towards the Entrance Hall. His demenor was calm, but focussed and determined. He would do whatever it took to keep the other students safe. He had his hands in his robe pockets, as he stood firmly in place, his right hand on his wand, if necessary. He turned to look at the other stdutents with him. They were all quite ready themselves. He then turned back towards the Entrance Hall once more. He was ready :: |
Professor Lainey was so relieved to finally see Rae. But, a bit worried at the apprehension from her..."Alright, Rae..." she said, moving to follow her. Professor Lainey had no intentions on leaving the bodies of her students, but she didn't have much choice at the moment. She gave them all one last, long look and followed Rae. Lainey was a bit startled to see a few students out with her, but moved on. "I'm glad you finally made it, Rae..."she said glimpsing back into the Forest.. |
"I"m sorry I was so delayed. I had to unseal the front door to get out here, and I've brought the reinforcements along to help me guard the doors," she nodded at the students by the castle. She turned and glanced back at the cabin, blocking her view of the students. "What happened out here, Anj? Who did this?" |
"Who do you think did this? I knew this would happen again ...Voldemortist. I got here just after, seconds too late. All of them are dead, Rae. Two of our own..." She shook her head and glanced back to the Forest. "He's close, Rae. I ran him off, but he's just bidding his time. I don't know if it's such a good idea having our students out here..." |
"Well, let's be quick about it, then. I had to either leave the door unguarded or not come at all if I didn't leave them there. They know not to leave the safety of the doorway, and at least we're between the forest and the castle." She sighed and stared over her shoulder at the dense forest. "It can't be helped, Anj. I can't leave the students out here, even if they ARE..." She couldnt' finish it. "I think I've failed at this job as terribly as at the last one." |
:: Elijah looked over his shoulder and could see that Professor Lainey had arrived, and she and Professor Rae were conversing. What about, he couldn't tell, but he knew the seriousness of it. You didn't nead to hear a word they were saying to know the grave situation that was going on. He turned to the rest of the students, nodding then turned back to face the Entrance :: |
"Don't be ridiculous, Rae. This isn't a failure...yet. If anyone has failed, it's me today. If I would of only arrived seconds before...,"she trailed off. If she learned anything from being an Auror, it was to no dwell on one's self when other's were in grave danger. And that's exactly what they all were in. She narrowed her eyes at the Forest, as a branch cracked.. "Look...I think we should alert some of the other teachers.." |
"It would be good to get them to stand guard at the door in addition to levitating the bodies inside. I'll send a message to the Headmaster, although I fear he is already involved in the brewing and won't come." She sent a whispered message off to his office before looking at the shack. "Where is Shrine?" |
*Kirstie stood next to Elijah, facing the Castle Doors. She was determined not to look behind her at the bodies or the professors, afraid of what she might see. She hand her left arm extended holding her wand and pointing it towards the doors. She exhaled quietly and waited* |
Terry walked out the entrance and saw Kristie and Elijah standing just outside the doors. She looked over in the direction of Professor Shine's hut and saw Professor Lainey floating nearby. Professor Rae and she were having a serious conversation. Terry then noticed the blanket laying on the lawn. For the first time it finally sunk in. The rumors were true. Five more students were dead killed by Voldemortist. She scanned the Dark Forest beyond the school. Surely Voldemortist wouldn't return with two former aurors so close. Terry turned her attention back to the entrance. So far, no students had tried to come out on the grounds. She hoped it would remain that way. |
Ron came out from the castle, and took a seat on the steps outside the entrance. He nodded towards the other students, then took in a deep breath, enjoying the fresh air. |
*Kirstie flinched as the doors opened, but she was relieved to see it was Terry. She gave her a weak smile and focussed her attention back on the doors* |
"I don't know, Rae. He's obviously not in his Hut...I hope he's not in the Forest, because if he is..." another shudder course through her opaque body. " Rae...I'm so selfish for wanting to take that potion more now than ever. I could do so much more alive again...I can't believe that thought is even going through my head though, especially with the bodies of the children I'm responsible for laying around me.."she said bitterly, refusing to look back at Rae. |

*Seeing Ron step out of the castle, Kirstie frowned. Some people had no sense for their own safety at all. Advancing on him with wand outstretched, Kirstie stopped a few inches from him* "Get inside Ron, for your own safety. Don't make me hex you" she said, trying to sound manacing. |
Rae looked sharply at Lainey. "You're still thinking on that, Anj?" She was silent for a moment, staring at the milky features of her friend. "I think maybe you should," she finally said softly. |
"Shauna, get back inside the castle - NOW!" |
Ron looked up at Kirstie. "Why don't you put down your wand and ask me nicely then?" Ron said, not trying to sound rude, "I'm sorry though, i just wanted a bit of fresh air." |
-quickly remember that she needs to meet Raven in The Corner she takes her leave- I've got to go do some...stuff. I'll see you around. |
Seeing that Ron is giving Kristie a hard time, she walks over to them. Ron Potter, you have been ordered to return to your Common Room. Professor Rae has given us her permission to use whatever means necessary to make sure you go there." Terry point her wand directly at him. "Don't make me use this." |

"I fully know what is in the woods. See that body right over there. " ron said, point to the corpse of mike, "That was one of me best mates. So don't be telling me i don't know whats going on. Besides, if your so worried about people dying , why aren't you saving your own hide." Ron got up, then nodded to Elijah. "Have a good day." |
