A very beautiful wood, highly prize, and surprisingly lethal - depending, of course, on the witch or wizard who wielded it. No bad wands, et cetera, et cetera. "An excellent wand for healing spells, binding spells, and divination, plus it has an affinity for the earth element and all relating to it. It's also said that the cherry wand helps to keep its bearer 'down to Earth' - this wand wood in particular requires those with self-control and a strong will, and so the wand does its part by helping to keep its wielder grounded." Given the power in that wood, matching them to eleven-year-olds could be something of a risk, but Zeke felt certain it was not have chosen this boy to wield it if he were not - or did not have the potential to be - capable, regardless of how quiet he was on the outside. In any case, the core did temper things somewhat. "Unicorn hair cores make for very faithful wands, and the magic they produce is very reliable; generally they don't make for the most powerful magic, but you may find the wood gives your spells all the oomph you could want. With this core, your wand is well suited to charms, transfigurations, and, again, healing magic."

Unable to keep his feelings to himself anymore, he told Drake during the first week of their return to Hogwarts as he was dreading to tell Bry he had fallen for the other guy as well. In the Topiary Garden {which happened to be the boys' fave spot as it represented them both - Flora for Drake, Fauna for Ary}, he told Drake how he felt which left his friend shocked but pleased. It was revealed that the feelings Ary expressed were mutual. Despite knowing this, he did not immediately ask Drake to be his boyfriend as he knew he needed to talk to Bry first. It took him about a week for him to work up the courage to admit to Bry that he was interested in her romantically as well as Drake. This went about as well as Ary imagined with there being a tantrum and tears on Bry's part, and loads of misery on his his part for hurting her. It was during the tantrum that Ary kissed her, mainly to get her to stop. It worked, though he left her immediately after as he was unable to watch her suffer. The two did not talk for about two weeks since Bry put some distance between them to process all Ary had admitted to her. Eventually she came around, and the two began to date officially. Only then, once Ary knew Bry had accepted his feelings for Drake as well, did he and Drake began dating too. {September}

Early Adventures;
I was born on March 15th, 2104, into a family with a long magical legacy. Growing up in a lively house near a creek, my childhood was full of adventure. Whether I was climbing trees, solving one of my grandmother’s rune puzzles, or getting lost in a good story, there was always something to spark my curiosity.
Every summer, I spent a month with my paternal grandparents in Hastings. They were both former duelists, and their stories were legendary. My grandfather told me about the time he won a duel against a dark wizard who tried to cheat by using cursed sand to blind him mid-duel. With a flick of his wand, my grandfather turned the sand into shards of glass that shattered harmlessly in mid-air before striking back with a disarming spell that sent the wizard flying. My grandmother, not to be outdone, would recount her duel with a Hungarian wizard known for summoning fire serpents. She conjured a storm of freezing rain that doused the flames and won the duel with precision and wit. Their stories taught me that skill is not just about power but about strategy and resourcefulness.
The month I spent with my maternal grandparents in Hull was different but just as magical. My mormor, which is Swedish for grandmother, was a runecarver and knew every tale about giants, elves, and ancient runes. She gave me clever rune puzzles to solve, and when I cracked one, she would tell me a story as my reward. My favorite was about a clever witch who used a binding rune to outsmart a frost giant and trick him into freezing his own axe solid. I loved the idea of using wit and magic together. That is probably where my fascination with esoteric magic began.
One of my earliest "brilliant" ideas happened when I was six. I snuck into my mother’s potion lab late at night, determined to brew my very own masterpiece. Spoiler alert, it was not. I ended up creating a harmless but ridiculously stinky smoke bomb that had the entire house scrambling. Mum was not thrilled, but once the chaos settled, I caught her trying to hide a smile. I remember thinking, maybe I am onto something after all.
When I was seven, I dared myself to leap off the tree swing by the creek, aiming for an epic landing in a pile of leaves. I missed and hit a boulder instead. The scar over my eyebrow has been with me ever since. It is a constant reminder that I do not always nail the landing, but I will always take the leap.
By the time I was ten, my obsession with discovery had only grown. I found an old map in our family’s library, covered in cryptic symbols. It did not lead to anything spectacular, but I spent hours deciphering it. That puzzle lit a spark in me, a need to uncover things no one else knows about.

History
Sydney is the eldest child of Lily-Belle Leyton and Audri Masters, a librarian and a restaurateur, respectively. Ever since she can remember, she’s been fascinated by all things dark and creepy. Much to her chagrin, her life so far has been the exact opposite: completely normal.
Sydney was an eerily calm child. She hardly ever cried, preferring cold anger over tears. Precocious from an early age, she hit her developmental milestones faster than most children her age. By age three, she was learning to read. By age six, she was helping her ma fix the animatronic band in the family restaurant. She was five when her magical powers manifested. On a family trip to an amusement park, she made a broken animatronic move, terrifying the guests. Only her mums knew what really happened; the park chalked the incident up to a mechanical failure.
Sydney attended a muggle primary school. There the teachers loved her for her intelligence; the students hated her for her strange interests and aloof personality. Not that that bothered her. She had no desire to be one of the crowd. While Sydney mostly ignored her peers, there were more than a few instances of odd things happening to people who bullied her or her sister. Some examples included gum randomly appearing in one’s hair, one’s shoelaces tied to the desk, and face-planting into one’s lunch tray. Suffice it to say nobody made that mistake twice… not that anyone could prove Sydney was behind the occurrences, of course!

A Star is Born;
Periwinkle Evie Paeng came into the world on Thursday August 13th, 2099, at exactly 8:13 AM. (talk about symmetry!) Born at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, she grew up in a whirlwind of family chaos. Peri is the youngest in a *very* big family—three older brothers, one older half-brother, and five older half-sisters. Yep, that’s nine siblings in total! If you think your family gatherings are wild, imagine the Paeng household.
From a young age, Peri stood out. She had a spark of creativity that couldn’t be contained. Whether it was scribbling stories as a toddler or experimenting with magical fashion (you should’ve seen her enchanted glitter scarves!), she was always dreaming big. But growing up with so many siblings wasn’t always easy. Drama was a constant visitor in the Paeng home—sometimes fun, but often exhausting.
The Great Divide;
Peri’s relationship with her parents was complicated, to say the least. WOW! Holy moly, where do I even begin? Stepping into the Entrance Hall at Hogwarts was like walking straight into the pages of a magical fairytale. The ceilings stretched so high, the stone walls whispered with history, and the portraits—oh, the portraits! They were alive in every sense of the word. I could hardly believe I was finally here.
For as long as I can remember, I've dreamed of this moment. Sure, I’m 15 now and transferring from Ilvermorny instead of starting here at 11 like most students, but hey, everything happens for a reason, right? Ilvermorny was incredible, and I’ll definitely have to write to all my friends back there about this place. They’d absolutely LOVE it!
As I stood there, trying to soak it all in, my gaze wandered to the portraits of the four founders of Hogwarts. There they were, larger than life: Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff, and Salazar Slytherin. Each one looked so proud and powerful, like they were still watching over their legacy.
I couldn’t help but feel a tug in my heart when my eyes landed on Salazar Slytherin. There’s just something about his story—the ambition, the cunning—that speaks to me. Don’t get me wrong, Ilvermorny was amazing, and I’ll always have a soft spot for it. But Hogwarts? It’s like stepping into a storybook! And the best part? It’s practically in my backyard! Okay, not literally, but close enough. I mean, how could I not be over-the-moon excited to be here?
So today was THE day—Sorting Day. I’ve been waiting for this moment forever. All my siblings have gone through it, and now it was finally my turn. Sydney may look sweet and innocent, but don’t be fooled by appearances. She’s a force to be reckoned with! Shrewd and driven, she will find a way to get what she wants one way or another. History
Sydney is the eldest child of Lily-Belle Leyton and Audri Masters, a librarian and a restaurateur, respectively. Ever since she can remember, she’s been fascinated by all things dark and creepy. Much to her chagrin, her life so far has been the exact opposite: completely normal.
Sydney was an eerily calm child. She hardly ever cried, preferring cold anger over tears. Precocious from an early age, she hit her developmental milestones faster than most children her age. By age three, she was learning to read. By age six, she was helping her ma fix the animatronic band in the family restaurant. She was five when her magical powers manifested. On a family trip to an amusement park, she made a broken animatronic move, terrifying the guests. Only her mums knew what really happened; the park chalked the incident up to a mechanical failure.
Sydney attended a muggle primary school. There the teachers loved her for her intelligence; the students hated her for her strange interests and aloof personality. Not that that bothered her. She had no desire to be one of the crowd. While Sydney mostly ignored her peers, there were more than a few instances of odd things happening to people who bullied her or her sister. Some examples included gum randomly appearing in one’s hair, one’s shoelaces tied to the desk, and face-planting into one’s lunch tray. Suffice it to say nobody made that mistake twice… not that anyone could prove Sydney was behind the occurrences, of course!
